Cooper and Nolan are ready to rock this week when they cover HARD ROCK ZOMBIES! This musical horror/comedy is the kind of insane fever dream that's almost indescribable. Werewolf grandmothers, eyepatch-wearing little people, and zombie gas chambers are just some of the surprises you can expect to find - just don't hold your breath for any actual hard rock. Still, any movie with the Cannon Films logo in front of it is basically a backstage pass to fun, so rise up and press play; this episode (featuring a beer from Indie Ale House) has more life in it than you might think!
On the third episode of Pedal To The Metal Theater, we are checking out the 1985 horror film Hard Rock Zombies which is about a band called Holy Moses who travel to a conservative town to perform a show, but little does the band know what is in store for them in this strange town. The film was written and directed by Krishna Shah. For a bonus, we have a track from legendary singer Robin McAuley in Till I Die which is off of his fourth solo album Soulbound.
Alright! You wanted the best, you got the best. The greatest rock n roll horror movies ever in a neat and organised list. It's Horror Rocks. This episode is rooted in all 3 categories of lost, forgotten, and should have beens. These bands all provide fist-pumpingly perfect sounds of AOR / Arena Rock gold from the 80s to now. Their music pairs perfectly with action and teen coming-of-age movies and was a big part of our youth! José Santiago abre o baú do Direto Pra Vídeo e tira de lá Hard Rock Zombies.

WELCOME TO THE HEADBANGERS' BALL …FROM HELL!! Can hard rock music really corrupt the youth? Will the lyrics raise the dead and turn innocent children into perverts and murderers? Is that a literal demon on lead guitar? Join Gabe and returning guest Justin Clark as they enter the pit to answer these questions and more. While Gabe spent the month watching several heavy metal and hard rock horror movies, the discussion this week pertains largely to four films – Krishna Shah's Hard Rock Zombies (1984), John Fasano's Black Roses (1988), Álex de la Iglesia's Day of the Beast (Spanish: El día de la bestia, 1995), and Tetsuro Takeuchi's Wild Zero (1999). 00:00 – Intro 08:38 – Hard Rock Zombies (and other ‘80s Heavy Metal Horror) 27:58 – Black Roses 45:21 – Day of the Beast 1:11:05 – Wild Zero 1:36:47 – Outro Check out Justin's review of Monkey Man here: https://www.slantmagazine.com/film/monkey-man-review-dev-patel/ If you are in a position to make the world a better place, please consider the following fundraisers: Freedom Oklahoma Education Campaign Palestine Children's Relief Fund Anera Gaza Aid Donations 4 Abortions (state by state abortion funds)

Talking Trash is a show to discuss movies that some people deem to be garbage, mediocre or just one that people never knew existed, we talk through the plot in spoiler fashion while asking "is this a bad movie?" And if not "what is the worst movie ever made?"It's February which Is the month of valentines day and we are celebrating by watching bad movies suggested to us by friends we've met online. For the last week of the month we are watching a movie that contains every grindhouse idea you can think of: a rock n roll band, hitchhiking hotties, zombies, black magic, shower murders, mutants, redneck cops, terrible makeup, werewolf grannies, decapitation, and even Hitler. We weren't kidding. We are watching "Hard Rock Zombies" Music by Karl Casey @whitebataudio on Instagram and YouTube. You can find us on Instagram @justanothermovienight and @thecraftymisfitThanks for listening! Can I Pod With Madness - Kerrang, Metal Hammer and rock in the 1980s
It's Christmas time, so naturally we spend about an hour talking about going to For The Love of Horror, the UK's premier horror convention. If you want to hear us going on and on about The Lost Boys you're in the right place! Otherwise it's business as usual as we delve into a festive edition of Kerrang from 1983. The stars of Metal are asked what they want for Christmas and most of their answers are variations on the same theme. Shout at the Devil era Mötley Crüe are on the cover and give us some extremely on brand quotes, and reveal their inconsistent scoring system. ZZ Top are compared to Status Quo but don't rise to it. We sing the praises of some of Ozzy Osbourne's lesser known hits (but not the version of Changes he did with Kelly). Brian May of Queen is ready to launch his Star Fleet project and we ponder whether Hot Space was all that bad. We get confused as to when Dragon Attack came out, but the movie had them recording We Will Rock You in the 80s, so get off our dick. Hawkwind's Sonic Attack is recalled, as is Hard Rock Zombies and we consider whether it's even possible to dislike Genesis. This month, the Devils and guest comedian Dan Fardell come up with a new scoring system for movie reviews, ask whether a steel drum could ever be a P.I.M.P., and do the best impression of the Insidious franchise that you'll ever hear. Somewhere among all that, we consider horror movies about rock musicians, including Studio 666, Phantom of the Paradise, Rocktober Blood, Hard Rock Zombies and Green Room. Plus reviews of new releases Thanksgiving, Saltburn and even Anatomy of a Fall.
Comedians Jericho Davidson & Aaron Kaplan join Zac Amico this week for a tale of tour and terror, as one unlucky band shreds their way across the country. Having their strings tangled by everything from zombies to werewolves to defunct dictators and town hall meetings, this band must persevere beyond the pale to preserve their innocent love for sick tunes and romance. You won't want to miss this hidden gem hailing from 1984, and their farewell concert is to die for! It's none other than Hard Rock Zombies, directed by Krishna Shah.Support Our Sponsors! If you're looking for a little extra "oomph!" in the bedroom, Mango (think "Man-Go!") helps men get hard, and go hard. Horror movies and heavy metal music have almost gone hand in hand, since the real first heavy metal band, Black Sabbath- which was even named after a horror film! Horror films were a huge influence on the metal genre, from imagery on the album covers, to the lyrics, and even the sound and style of the music itself. And they continue to do so to this day. To delve a little deeper into the connection between those two, we invited two members of Incantation, one of the oldest death metal bands out there, Kyle Severn and Chuck Sherwood. So join us as we talk music, metal, and movies! This will be a new thing we do where we give suggestions for double features with an episode to go along with it. Mild spoilers but i dont think it matters with these two.

Things are heating up around here at the JFD offices, and we've got three appropriately hot & sweaty cult movies to chat about with you this week. Get ready for a wild one, wherein opinions on movies are discussed in podcast form (a new approach to the medium). Up first! It's Michelangelo "Mr. Blow-Up" Antonioni's /other/ movie (except all the other, other ones) The Passenger, from 1975! It's the one where Jack Nicholson does some stuff in the desert and then doesn't do some other stuff not in the desert. And there's lots of slow camera movements. But also it's great! (maybe) Next up! We turn the volume up on another heavy metal horror flick, this time giving Hard Rock Zombies (from 1985) a spin. Recently restored by pixelfiends Vinegar Syndrome, does this horror comedy feature anything horrific or comedic? And does it even feature hard rock? Surely there are zombies? We'll figure out all of this, plus whether or not it has Eva Braun as a werewolf. Finally! Of course, it's 2017's The Endless, a movie picked by Parker likes those guys (those guys being Justin Benson + Aaron Moorhead, who directed this movie and who also have their names carved together into a tree like that with a plus sign in the middle). Parker likes those guys! All this plus grillin' & chillin', Parker's flaming failure, sexualized bureaucracy, the Star Wars report and other basic bitch shit, Black Sweden, the opposite of cinema, unapologetic Algerian funk, Kevin's favorite newspaper critics, the sound of sweat and dirt, nerd news and even more! Recorded live-to-tape on National Macaroon Day, 2022!! Direct Donloyd HereGot a movie suggestion for the show, or better yet an opinion on next week's movies? Drop us a line at JFDPodcast@gmail.com. This week on the Bad Taste Video Podcast we were joined by our best friend E.K. from the LASER GRAVES PODCAST to talk about one of the only death metal zombie films we could think of , "Death Metal Zombies" !! It's not exactly Hard Rock and it's not exactly Zombies but it's definitely weird. That's right, today The Cannon Bros (Frank and Geoff) discuss the 1985 comedy horror rock flick Hard Rock Zombies! So pull out your poorly digitized YouTube links because this is a deep cut that is fun as hell. Is the plot confusing? You betcha. Is the movie every genre all at once putting the kitchen sink approach to shame? You better believe it! Does Hitler show up? Of course he does. Why wouldn't he in a movie called Hard Rock Zombies?! It's a wild ride and the songs ain't half bad either. So get out your resurrection books and try to figure out where you think you have heard these samples from (FYI it's an Agoraphobic Nosebleed song). This week we're reviewing the insane Hard Rock Zombies with special guest Keith Cooper. Keith is an actor, writer, producer, visual effects supervisor, and he's also a jerk. He wrote and produced Anything For Jackson this year, which made our best horror of 2020 lists. Hard Rock Zombies has 80's hair metal, Hitler, zombies, and everything else under the sun.

Masochist May finally lets Tyler out of the strappado after a quadruple dose of suggestions designed to bring pain to some and pleasure to others. A serial killer leaves a box of video tapes in the house he used to rent. A mockumentary of legendary reputation from days when IMDb had message boards and social media consisted on top 8 spaces- The Poughkeepsie Tapes. Mexican exploitation legend with a predilection toward animal suffering, René Cardona Jr, bring his version of the Jonestown mass murder and suicide. Released less than a year after the actual events and stuffed with familiar faces, don't mistake that for a mark of quality in Guyana: Crime of the Century aka Cult of the Damned. The self proclaimed "M. Night of my times" takes 20 minutes from his previous feature and spins it out into either genius OR suffering. Depending on who you ask. Nazis and Pedophiles and the town from Footloose and Hard Rock Zombies. Oh my. Finally a man about to end it all makes friends with a very special corpse. High jinks ensue. Swiss Army Man All that and Dave learns all there is to know about talking puppies, Tyler paddles against the stream, Anna gets lost in a dark wood full of coyote, and Craig does an amazing impression for the whole run. Join us, won't you?Episode 155- Masochist May: Hard Swiss Crime Tapes

In this episode, your friends at Forever Midnight find themselves at the business end of a top-tier Patreon movie pick and are forced to watch the 1985 kookoo bananas trip that is “Hard Rock Zombies”. Nothing could prepare them for the journey they were about to embark on as the screen is riddled with mullets, little people, werewolves, nazis, necromance, town meetings, skateboarding, a couple zombies, a smidge of pedophilia and some totally sweet jams that apparently make you want to dance just about everywhere. As the FM3 try to regain composure, they quickly realize they are the latest victims of one of the most insane motion pictures ever pieced together. Will they ever be the same? Will they die in 7 days?! Tune in to find out!
On this episode, Sarah and Jessy take a gander at Krishna Shah's 1985 gem, "Hard Rock Zombies." Almost too wonderful for words, this one's jam packed with 80's hair metal music videos, girls of questionable age and hot hitchhikers partaking in random street dancing. With a 3.5/5 pours, this one is likely to get you good and puzzled.
A freshly-out-of-the-grave band of Hard Rock Zombies is thirsting to take their sweet revenge, as they give the performance of a lifetime.
Are you ready to rock, Cannonites? These zombies came to chew brains and rock your socks off! And this movie is all out of brains. So sock rocking it shall be! The half-formed, vestigial twin sibling movie to "American Drive-In", "Hard Rock Zombies” definitively answers the question “What if a title became a movie?” The laughs keep on coming, intentional or not. We were still reeling from Hard Rock Zombies last week, so we decided to think of something I loved from my childhood, something that could never, ever possibly destroy us : The Stuff. This was a bit harder to do, because we don't disagree with anything in the move. We both love it to death. But, if you love people talking about killer yogurt, this may just be the podcast for you.
Stop me if you've heard this one.. Zombie Hitler and Werewolf Eva Braughn live in an old house where they lure metal bands to their deaths. Their two little person grandchildren like to watch them have sex, and one of the little people is sometimes a person and sometimes a puppet. The puppet eventually eats himself. The band looks like Manowar and sounds like a watered down Air Supply. The zombies are allergic to heads. Tale as old as time. Guys. I'm sorry...but get ready for Hard Rock Zombies.
Do you like Footloose, but wish it had 100% more nazis? The boys are joined by returning guest Tessa Morrison to discuss Wright's sexy aunt, hair metal beefcakes, and werewolf grandmas. We watch Hard Rock Zombies on this week's Trash in the Can!
Didn't we just cover Satanic Panic stuff last week?? Matt's short term memory is fried from all the bar water he's been chugging on tour, so he decided to inflict Hard Rock Zombies from 1985 upon us. If you've never seen this one, consider yourself lucky, as it features the softest hard rock band ever, fronted by a legitimate child predator with an awful mustache. There's also a geriatric Hitler, werewolf Eva Braun and their deformed midget offspring. Plus a hot blonde who likes to make stupid Beatles jokes as she lops off dudes' hands. There's a lot to unpack here, and we tried our best to not do Steve Perry impressions for 40 minutes this week. Join us for the loud rock show you never wanted to witness on this week's episode of Horror Movie Night!

Proving we are completely and utterly insane, we took on our very first Fan Challenge. The challenge was to just watch Hard Rock Zombies (1985) but since we are mad as hatters, we had to remake this low budget schlock fest. Cause that is how we roll. We went into this film with no preparation, we watched it, and hit record. This is the result. Little did we know what we would be in for. Wheelchair bound werewolf? Check. Little mongoloid zombie who eats himself? Check. Hitler? Yup, check, it's got that too. Hard Rock Zombies is full of so much insane that we could never put it all in this intro. Listen to this hilarious podcast about about this so bad, it's still bad, horror, comedy that one of you, our fans, tortured us with. You're welcome. Do you have a Fan Challenge? A hard rock band travels to the tiny and remote town of Grand Guignol to perform. Peopled by hicks, rubes, werewolves, murderous dwarves, sex perverts, and Hitler, the town is a strange place but that doesn't stop the band's lead singer from falling in love with a local girl named Cassie. After Nazi sex perverts kill the band to satisfy their lusts, Cassie calls the rockers back from the grave to save her, the town, and maybe the world.
