So a few days ago I did a Q&A where I talked about how our kids have been doing all the laundry in the house since they were in elementary school. Insert 4324325543 DMs as to how we pulled that off. Yes it's true. Heather and I have not done any laundry nor have we even made our own bed since the kids were old enough to wash a dish. We go over homeschooling, the sex talk, chores, allowance, technology, dating, roles, struggles, what we did wrong, and so much more. Our way of raising kids IS NOT the best way nor the only way. But we've found the best way for our kids. So take what we say with a grain of salt… But also know that we've known no greater honor than raising these kids. Hope this helps you guys. Scripture For Today: Acts 8:22 “Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.”What James Had to Say About Prayer pt 8We have been studying what the Apostle James had to say about prayer. We have been studying the verses from James 5:13-18: “Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any Merry? Let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it did not rain on the earth by the space of three years and six months! And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain and the earth brought forth her fruit.” Yesterday, we focused on verse 16, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” We learned that if a person is sick, possibly dying and needing prayer, we can and should go over and pray for them. Remember the first part of this scripture, we learned that a believer, if able, should be praying for themselves. But we are talking here about someone, believer who is incapacitated or unable to pray – or an unbeliever who doesn't know the first thing about praying effectively. We studied that this person needs to repent of his or her sins before the anointing oil and/or prayer is made for them. God is not going to bless what is already cursed. It just does not work that way. There is no way they will receive their healing with unconfessed sin in their life. They must confess it before the Lord, in private to you or the pastor or the elders – this IS NOT a public confessional meeting as some religions profess is needed – amen! But it will not matter WHO prays for you or for a person who is lost and in this condition – if they refuse to admit they are a sinner before the Lord. It just will not work. They will not receive their healing… Now, I guess I should pause here and say, “YES – anything is possible with the Lord.” I'm not going to say Jesus will not answer our prayer and heal them. But, let's just say that God is not obligated in any way to answer their prayer because they REFUSE to confess their sins FIRST. They must do their part in order to trust God to do His part.  Amen! And that goes for believers, too!  Don't just shut down unbelievers in this way. Amen! It would do us all good to examine ourselves every now and then to see if we have any unrepented sin still clinging to us in our lives. If so, we need to get rid of it because, as we've learned, “God cannot bless what He has already cursed.” He is not going to bless you financially just so you can kick back, watch TV and eat chocolate bon-bon's all day long. Amen!  If He blesses you financially, it is so YOU can be a financial blessing to someone else. Period. He is simply using you as a distribution channel so the Gospel can be shared with others. Don't get greedy or tight handed when it comes to giving finances. Amen! I think that would be a good spot to end today. I'll just let you ponder that last thought until tomorrow. Amen! Let's Pray! Scripture For Today:Luke 22:39“Jesus went, out as usual, to the Mount of Olives to pray, and his disciples followed him.”Following Instructions pt 2Yesterday, we started to look at the importance of following instructions given by Jesus in the New Testament. We also looked at the importance of following the instructions given by the Apostles in the first century church.  I mean, if there was ever an importance of establishing HOW a church should function and operate, you think Jesus would make sure the pattern was established with the first churches being formed so we could follow that pattern down until His return, right? To do that, He sent the Holy Spirit to inspire some of the disciples and Apostles to write these instructions for us.  The Apostle Paul is the example we have been studying. In 1 Timothy 2:8 he said, “…lifting up Holy hands, without wrath and doubting” – but yet, there are some that do not want to follow those instructions. I was one of them for awhile, as I shared yesterday. We also shared about how some people will say, “Well, those instructions are not for us today.” Even how some will say, “I don't follow Paul. Don't teach me about Paul. I follow Jesus alone. I only read His Gospels. The rest is of men.” Well, why don't you just rip out those other letters from your Bible. That is basically what you are telling us? You are telling Jesus you don't care IF He inspired those writers to write down HIS instructions for us – if you don't hear from HIM directly – it's of the devil. Now, there are times when Paul said he was making judgements on what HE understood. It was his opinion on certain matters. He would say something like, “After MY judgement: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God…” That is in 1 Corinthians 7:40.  He is making it clear that this is HIS opinion. But that he believes he has heard from the Holy Spirit concerning the matter under discussion. Amen! So, if Paul was speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, then WE should be under obligation to listen! Amen!  If the Holy Spirit inspired him to write these letters to the churches that profess Faith in Christ – then they also apply to churches today that profess Faith in Christ. Which means, if your church IS NOT following these instructions…. I'll just leave it at that… You can read between the lines and hear from the Holy Spirit yourself concerning whether or not you should heed the false teachings of those kinds of churches or listen to teaching inspired by the Holy Spirit as laid out for HOW churches and believers SHOULD be operating.  Amen!  The reason some people don't want to follow that kind of preaching from the Bible is because it condemns what they are doing.  We will just let that hang there for you to ponder today. We will take it up here again tomorrow.  Let's Pray! Episode Summary: Over the years, as I have thought about seeking to be a great dad to my five (now grown kids), there is one verse of Scripture that always comes to mind. It is God's statement to the Apostle Paul in 2 Corinth 12:9, “In weakness, my power is shown the more completely.” Boy, have I claimed this verse over the years, especially since of all things, God puts DADS and NOT MOMS in charge of the discipline and training of the kids! Can you believe that? The family code sections of Ephesians and Colossians address wives, then husbands, then children—commanding them to obey their parents. So, we might expect the next group Paul addresses to be parents; but it is not. How about mothers? No. When it comes to household management and training the children, Paul instead addresses FATHERS, Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. This week, we again look to God, the ultimate GREAT DAD and dig into another profound characteristic of HIS FATHERLY LOVE: The Lord disciplines the one he loves. For Further Prayerful Thought Would downloading the written version of thee 7 principles to pray over, share with your wife, or pass on to your adult children as parents to your grandchildren we valuable? As you compare your tendencies as a disciplinarian, to the picture given in these seven biblical principles, where do you need to adjust the most?Would it be worth your time to listen to last year's podcast series on parenting? People were counting on 6ix9ine to come out of his cave to troll Lil Durk following the tragic news of his older brother DThang's murder. Right on cue, the polarizing rapper popped up in Akademiks' comment section on Sunday (June 6) to leave some tasteless remarks about Lil Durk's latest loss. “@lildurk tell the truth about yo Gang man they really dyin,” he wrote alongside several laughing emojis. “@lildurk stop the senseless violence.” From there, he moved over to The Shade Room and left a sarcastic “RIP” under a post about DThang's death. 6ix9ine has been taunting Lil Durk for months, angering several other Chicago rappers in the process. Shortly after Durk's Only The Family artist King Von was fatally shot outside of an Atlanta hookah bar last November, 6ix9ine accused Durk of exploiting his death to sell more copies of his mixtape, The Voice. At the time, the project was on pace to sell roughly 55,000 total album-equivalent units in its first week. Seizing the moment to throw a jab, 6ix9ine made a distasteful comment about King Von that enflamed Von's friends and fans. “Used Von name for sales,” he wrote. “Is NOT blackballed has all industry support. 55k and his man was caught in 4K #KingVon REST IN PISS. Par for the course, the 24-year-old Brooklynite is back at it again, but Lil Durk has yet to publicly respond to his brother's death or 6ix9ine's antics. According to TMZ, Cook County officials confirmed Dontay Banks Jr.— DThang's government name — was found deceased on the 7900 block of S. Loomis Blvd. in Chicago and has been assigned a case number. An autopsy still has to be completed to figure out the cause and manner of death, but alleged witnesses at the scene claim he was shot in the head and died instantly. If we are constantly looking for a certain type of person, we may miss the love of our life directly in front of our eyes AND maybe they are ALREADY married to us!  Asking ourselves,  “Why would she/he say this to me?” Is NOT a helpful question. Instead, next time our spouse, mother-in-law, or friend says words to us, let’s ask ourselves instead, “What do I want to make that mean?”  Making assumptions about what people are thinking is dangerous. AND then making assumptions about how other people are feeling is also dangerous! AND THEN making assumptions that other people's thoughts and feelings mean something about us is the MOST dangerous of all!!!! So next time we catch ourselves in this funny mind drama, let’s ask what we would rather spend our time and energy focusing on….someone else’s thoughts and feelings over which we have no control, or our own? WALK AWAY ASKING YOURSELF How do I tell my love story? Is it a fairy tale or a horror story? Do I allow myself to love me every day? Do I give myself credit for how far I’ve come? What are my main sources of motivation? Am I choosing the discomfort of growth or the discomfort of being stuck?   FEATURED ON THIS SHOW Website: https://thedoctor-coach.com/ Facebook: Milene Juliao Argo Instagram: @thedoctor_coach *This podcast is a member of the Doctor Podcast Network SPONSOR: doctorpodcastnetwork.com/doc2doc

Hey, fam. I wrote this song last night and got a chance to record it this morning. My voice has changed a lot because of my vocal cord injuries (self-inflicted--I extubated myself twice in the ICU). I'm definitely an alto now :) and I have been enjoying the personal side of relationship with Jesus recently. So, that is what this song is about. It's called "Jesus Tender" which IS NOT, in fact, a piece of chicken wrapped in Jesus. But I do enjoy a good poultry joke.  The words:  Jesus tender, you're my refuge Jesus, my friend, you are my joy Jesus, here, I'm secure I'm not afraid, I'm not afraid Jesus And I sing for you're near me And I cry, tears roll down my face in laughter And I love your smile, bright as the sunrise You are my one heart's desire, Jesus You are enough for me You are my joy You never leave me I am safe, safe here with you Jesus Peace,  ~Amanda

Hey everyone! It’s Good Friday! Starting today, every Friday I want to do something DIFFERENT with this letter. Just something totally random, not a traditional letter, traditional is boring.I think “New Format Friday” will help people learn, and teach in a way that sticks with people. The idea I had for today is this….—> Here’s everything I know about business and making money, typed out “flow of consciousness” style.*for those wondering why you should care, my businesses have generated nearly $50,000,000 in revenue in the past 36 months*Most of your “daily grind” doesn’t matterYou can make one investment that will outperform your entire company if you research it hard enoughAutopilot is real, and attainable (paradoxically, through many 15 hour days)There’s a reason there are “venture capitalists” (starting a business is hard)Within the first 18 months of your business the company will either fail or outrun 99.99999% of your competition.A good product IS NOT everything. It helps.Advertising and SALES are the engine of your business. If it doesn’t seem like a business is advertising much, it’s because they are really good at it.A great salesman won’t even be labeled “salesman” (cough cough Elon Musk)Income is 100% NOT RELATED to time OR effort (after the first 18 months)One great hire can replace 40 average workersYou should never, ever, hire friends Getting a great business partner is a 1/1,000 chance. 99.9% of people should NOT get a business partner. 50% of a million dollar company is better than 100% of a thousand dollar company.Zero interest credit cards are the quickest way for most people to get “start-up capital”. (plus it motivates you to scale before the 12 months are up)“I have an idea” is literally worthless and if you say it to an entrepreneur they will instantly tune out.“I just want to pick your brain” is equally bad.No one has it all figured out. Billionaires are still just pretending to know what the heck is going on.The bigger your company, the more people are slacking off.“Show me the incentives, and I’ll show you the results”Keeping cash on your balance sheet is a liability not an asset. Everything is saturated. Everything has fierce competition.New, innovative ideas are more unique than unicorns. Most success is playing off an existing idea and executing better. Execution is all that matters. Talk is cheap. It doesn’t matter what kind of camera you have. Gear is a distraction. You’re better off playing to your strengths and finding a way to be profitable doing things that don’t make you hate your life (after the first 18 months, everything will suck during the first 18 months)Your friends probably give crappy advice. So do your parents. If you hang around with people who make less money than you too much, you won’t make as much money (this one sucks but it’s true)One conversation with the right person can literally be worth $1,000,000.Most conversations, 99.999% of them, are a waste of your time business wise.Stop doing group meetings. Just stop. Real intelligence is demonstrated by your ability to clearly articulate your thoughts through text. You should be able to hire and vet people solely through email. Hire fast and fire faster. Give people a one month trial, and then boot them if they don’t blow your mind. The first $1,000 is indeed the hardest. You can take billions of dollars off this planet and no one will even notice.Money is a mindset. “Opposite day” is a Seinfeld Episode, but probably how you should live your whole life. If you care what people think about you you should do everything in your power to expunge that feeling. It’s one of the costliest emotions and hurts your ability to generate wealth.Business is a marathon with no ending. Eventually every racer gets tired. If you just keep running you will win, period.Pick a race you can run for the long term. But that’s really hard, so better yet, just start running a race.If it doesn’t work out, you can change directions and start running another one.“Pivot” should be one of your favorite words.“Asymmetric” IS my favorite word. Asymmetric as in, DISPROPORTIONAL, not UNIFORM, not EQUAL.Your decisions are not PROPORTIONAL in WEIGHT or MEANING. Some are VASTLY more important than others.Your RESULTS are not the result of a proportional amount of effort. They are the result of an ASYMMETRIC FEW CONCENTRATED PIECES OF EFFORT.1% of EVERYTHING controls 99% of EVERYTHING ELSE.Once you truly understand this, your ability to generate wealth may become that of the “1%” which seems absolutely beautiful when you think about it.Hope you enjoyed this, subscribe so you don’t miss next week’s “New Format Friday”.Also going to be writing some incredible stuff on Monday and Tuesday of next week, so you won’t want to miss that.See you soon.Kale Get on the email list at thekaleletter.substack.com

Ep 110 - I am not looking forward to this moment, to this action, but I am looking forward to the aftermath, what I will receive or become after I do this or this is done to me. This quote from the Yellowstone TV show sparked me to bring this topic to you around my principle of 'Be Decisive.' You have a choice, every second of your life, to do one thing or do another. Going backwards and using again IS NOT the only choice. You are empowered. You know there are better ways to heal through your suffering. You are not oblivious to this idea, nor are you able to unring the bells that you have heard during this show. Why on earth would you ever want to go backwards? You have all the choices in front of you when you step into sobriety and journey into addiction recovery. Going backwards...we already know the choices that are waiting for us back there - AND this quote doesn't just go hand in hand with our coping mechanisms around using and abusing. This topic is for you when you are thinking of a negative behavior that you know will bring you an undesirable outcome. Perhaps it's a conversation that goes sideways when you yell, perhaps its a sitting on the couch when you know you really want to be healthy and walking is good for you. The infinite hypotheticals, that are actually our very real life examples, are too numerous to keep writing here. Going backwards is something to be mindful of every day of your life, sobriety or not, the only time you even need to look backwards is to learn the lesson that experience taught you, take it in, and then leave it in the past where it belongs. Your future is being written every second of your life. You are the author. Write new things. Don't be like Hollywood and keep writing the same drivel with a different title and a new star attached. You are better than that. It's time you show yourself this is a fact. ********************* Thank you so much for listening and being a part of my tribe and this wonderfully supportive community. Tithing and The Church

Giving money to the church is often not a popular topic but this week we discuss tithing. God calls us to be joyful and sacrificial givers of our time, money and "first fruits", giving us opportunity to trust God in our dependance on Him. Yet sometimes we are guilty of critiquing God's bride and justifying why we don't need to give to His church that He loves so much, He came to die for her? We also get into what it means to follow Jesus's example as a Servant-Leader, as the head of our house and lead our family well in reading God's word, prayer and tithing... all things that God uses to transform our hearts, minds and lives. NOTES: This Weeks Whiskey: Eagle Rare by Buffalo Trace Disterery Christian B. shares a trick to be able to better smell the notes in the whiskey What does it mean to Tithe and are we still called to do it? What does it mean to give God our "first fruits"?  Tithing is just as much about our heart and motivation when giving, as it is about how much we give, just like we see with Cain and Able in Genesis, where Able's offering was the best of his best to God... not what was left over. Tithing is an exercise of obedience and reminder that we are to be fully-dependent on God, that all things come from Him, and that we are simply stewarding God's resources and money that he provides, in order to do His will on earth. The principles for tithing obediently is that our giving should be joyful and sacrificial, and through giving of our first fruits back to God, we are acknowledging our dependence on Him and remembering where all good things come from. Does our American outlook of individual consumerism and "exchange of goods" economics influence our attitude towards tithing to our local church if we feel like we (as attendees or members) aren't getting what we think we should be getting from our Church? Specifically if that church as attracted attendees by being "seeker sensitive" and catering to the felt-needs of their congregation. Some Christian's say they don't attend church or don't give money to a church for a variety of reasons: If we were hurt by a church in the past or jaded against the church or "organized religion", does that get us off the hook for not needing to tithe? God doesn't give us the option to "love Jesus but hate the church" or not participate in a weekly gathering of God's people. Jesus came to earth in human form to die for His bride, The Church. We can't both love Jesus and hate His Bride that He came to die for. Biblical tithing IS NOT a means of "give to get", like what is proclaimed in the heretical "prosperity gospel" or "name it and claim it" movement, which is common with tele-evangelists who claim that if you give them money, you will be healed... become rich... become holy, etc, etc. You know you are a "Consumer-Christian" when we are quick to criticize the church, not give of your money or time regularly and often complain about not liking the church music or preaching... because we see participation in church as a consumer, where we are served, catered to and entertained... rather than the Biblical definition of church were we ARE the church and called to give our money, volunteer our time and get off the side-lines and into the game instead of being an "arm-chair" quarterback.  If you say you love Jesus but you hate the church... you don't love Jesus and don't get the Gospel and whole purpose of why Jesus came to earth to die for our sins, to bring us back into relationship with God the Father. Tithing is one of the means in which we can practically and tangibly meet each others earthly needs. Tithing should be considered the baseline/starting point. We are still responsible to hearing God's call and the Holy Spirit's prompting when we encounter people with tangible needs in our lives. How does this apply to being a husband or father? As the man, God has proclaimed us as the head of our household, which doesn't simply mean you are in charge and everyone needs to listen to you but more accurate and in-line with Jesus's example as a Servant-Leader, being "the head" has more to do with the responsibility of taking care of and leading your family... which includes spiritual and financial leadership, like tithing. We as husbands and dads will be held accountable for how we loved and lead our families and churches. Simon Sinek - "Leaders Eat Last" book

They discussed how too many investors implement an investment strategy that is driven and based off emotions, feelings, and news headlines. In an environment like we are in currently with so much uncertainty in the market, the global economy, and from an everyday life standpoint, it is easy to get wrapped up in the rapidly changing news headlines and get uneasy.Jason talked about how one of the most repeated questions that he gets from clients is “what should we do now?”. He discussed how the answer to that question never changes no matter what is going on in the world around us. People should make sure that their financial plan is comprehensive in nature with specific goals being on track, and they have a solid, diversified investment strategy in place to accomplish those goals and ride through periods of volatility and uncertainty. Jason explained how the real question people should be asking themselves is if they should hire an adviser or not. They talked about how the market has continued to go up and for a lot of individuals it seems like it is easy to make a ton of money in the stock market, when this IS NOT the case over longer periods of time. They invited listeners to send their questions to jason@financialdetox.com or call 877-707-8889, and they will send them the Investor Behavior Study. Also, we will conduct an initial complimentary discovery meeting to answer some initial questions, find out about IDA’s comprehensive range of services, and establish if there is a good mutual fit to accomplish their goals and objectives. They also discussed how IDA is looking to grow and has a core mission of helping as many people as possible while not letting the level of service and experience dip for existing clients. Jason did a great job comparing a story of his son saying something he should not have to a classmate and not wanting to admit it was inappropriate to a client not wanting to admit they made an emotional investment decision based on emotions or outside influences when they should not have been reactive. One of the hardest things in life is admitting that you don’t know something, or you need help with something. Our team is able to provide individuals with so much financial peace of mind when they are fully able to let go and allow us to guide them down a path to a prosperous investment experience. Scripture For Today: John 17:6 “I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.” Pray to the Father in Jesus Name We have been studying about the importance of praying IN JESUS NAME. This one thing can move you from wondering IF God hears your prayers to KNOWING GOD hears your prayers! Why? Because Jesus said so! Amen! As we have been discussing these past few days, we are never to ask for something “in Jesus sake…” We hear too many foolish people praying “for Jesus sake…” But you cannot find even ONE example in the Bible where that phrase is mentioned!  If you find it – show me! I can't find it…in any of my translations! Why? Because it IS NOT for “Jesus sake” that we are praying…it is for OUR SAKE! Amen! Don't shout me down when I'm preaching good! Glory to God! There IS a difference between “praying in Jesus Name” and “praying for Jesus sake…” The reason Jesus told us to “Ask the Father in my name” is because nobody in Heaven has more standing than Jesus! Amen! You and I definitely do not have any standing in Heaven. None. The only one we have standing before the Father's Throne in Heaven IS Jesus! Amen!  So when we pray in His Name, we are praying “for our sake,” not His! It is ONLY because of Jesus standing in the Father's presence that we can receive the answers to our prayers. Glory to God! For example, if you have a stomach ache, and you pray for healing, it is for YOUR SAKE you are praying, not Jesus sake. He doesn't have a stomach ache. Amen! YOU are the one hurting and asking for healing – not Him! Another example, if you were hungry and needing something to eat, would your pray for your next door neighbor to receive something to eat? Or for you to have something to eat? You'd be praying for yourself, right? Why do we think our prayers are any different? Are you starting to see the difference between praying “for the sake of Jesus” and “In the Name of Jesus?” I sure do hope so… We need to be aware that our words DO MATTER. The devil is a legalist. He will use our own words against us. So do not give him any ground in this area. Say what you mean and mean what you say – even in your prayer life. “Well, brother Bob, I've prayed that way before and God answered my prayers…” Glory to God! His Mercy endures forever! He knows the foolishness of our ways…and overlooks that foolishness because we knew no better. But guess what? You know NOW! You've had the Truth (and His Word is Truth) and now it is up to you to walk in that Truth. I'm telling you, folks, you will see more of your prayers answered when you start praying in line with God's Word and stop praying things that are not taught in the Bible. When you start to pray IN JESUS NAME, you will be scripturally accurate in what you are doing. That means you can start to expect – and will see – more of your prayers being answered a lot faster than you ever have in your entire life. Amen! Just making that one adjustment, to pray IN JESUS NAME rather then “for the sake of Jesus” will make all the difference. Amen! Let's pray! "Unfailing Grace" BookJulie Carrick pt 4Julie Carrick is one of the most effective speakers and artists in the Catholic Church today. She brings a passionate message of faith, hope, and love masterfully woven together through her music and personal witness to living the faith. A veteran singer and composer, she has been featured at countless local, national and international events. As a Radio host, she is heard on stations across the U.S., she boldly shares her faith at every opportunity. With 15 awe-inspiring recordings, her music shares the emotional element that takes the message of God’s love from the head to the heart. She has over 25 years of ministry experience and is the co-founder of the Carrick Ministries Foundation and she is the author of book, “Unfailing Grace.” Today, I want to http://www.juliecarrick.com ()focus on this great book. You encourage your readers to understand that God is with us, even in our most difficult times. I couldn’t agree more. How can someone, going through a very dark time, find the Faith to have Faith, when they can’t see anything but despair? You used the phrase, “The devil would not tempt you if you were not a worthy prize.” You shared how you were offered $250,000 for various cosmetic things, but only if you would deny your Catholic Faith? What was that all about? You definitely have a calling for music (unlike me, when everyone knows music IS NOT my calling)…But something many people may not know, you also sing in tongues, correct? You became a military wife. I joined the military right out of high school and was married at the ripe old age of 19 as well. Although I enjoyed the varied assignments, looking back, I know it was hard on the family. We moved a total of 13 times in 12 years. How did you view all of the moves and travel? Tell us about the time you unexpectedly found yourself in a mass the Pope was giving… Tell us about the Catholic priest that prayed silently outside your door. Can you explain that part of your book for us? There are so many interesting stories you share in your book, “Unfailing Grace.” We have just highlighted some of them. But there is another aspect of your book that many do not find very often, you use QR Codes throughout your book! Tell us about these QR codes that the reader will come across, what are they for? Julie, believe it or not, once again we are almost out of time, Praise God! I keep saying I have to get this clock fixed, it always seems like it runs fast when I’m doing a really great interview. If someone wanted to get in touch with you, to ask a question, maybe have you come and speak at a conference or in their church, how can they do that? How can they get in touch with you? And your book, how can someone order a copy of your book? Is it on Amazon? I’ll be putting links to all of this down in the show notes below. I urge you to reach out to Julie Carrick. Email her, visit her website. Order her book, in fact, order two or three copies. I know that you know someone or possibly two or three others that can use this type of inspiration. Be that person that God sends to them in their time of need – to give a Word of encouragement and sow this book into their life. Go down into the show notes and get in touch with Julie. Be sure to order her new book, “Unfailing Grace,” and order it right now while you are thinking about it. Just click the link down below and order her book today. Ministry of Unfailing Grace Julie Carrick pt 1We have a very special guest for you today. She has ministered all over the world and is Internationally known for her music and her speaking engagements. Julie Carrick is one of the most effective speakers and artists in the Catholic Church today. She brings a passionate message of faith, hope, and love masterfully woven together through her music and personal witness about living the faith. A veteran singer and composer, She has been featured at countless local, national and international events. As a Radio host heard on stations across the U.S., she boldly shares her faith at every opportunity. With 15 awe-inspiring recordings, her music shares the emotional element that takes the message of God’s love from the head to the heart. She has over 25 years of ministry experience and is the co-founder of the Carrick Ministries Foundation and she is here with us today… Help me welcome to the program, Julie Carrick! First question, other than that brief information I just shared, tell us in your own words, “Who is Julie Carrick?” You definitely have a calling for music (unlike me, when everyone knows music IS NOT my calling)…How did you get started in the music ministry? You are from Michigan originally. Where at in Michigan? How has the Lord used your music to open doors to share your Faith around the world? You sang for our troops recovering from the war in Iraq. What was that experience like? When you minister, you try to use real life stories to make the point that being a Christian does not mean we will never have any more trials. How are you able to weave these stories into the points you are making from scriptures? You’ve had some things happen in your life that many people would not know how to handle. You had a daughter that was raped and became pregnant from the rape. How did your Faith help you – and her – through that ordeal? One of your talks is “What it means to be truly pro-life.” In light of the climate of cancel culture and “everything evil is good” that our nation seems to be running towards right now, how has this message impacted those that hear it? I urge you to reach out to Julie Carrick. Email her, visit her website. Order her book – most definitely, you need to order her music! Praise God! Music is one of the most powerful spiritual forces in the world. Why do you think the devil tries to keep control of the music industry? Go down into the show notes and get in touch with Julie. Be sure to order her new book, “Unfailing Grace." http://www.juliecarrick.com/ ()CONTACT INFORMATION:EMAIL: Julie@CarrickMinistries.com Website: http://www.juliecarrick.com/ (http://www.juliecarrick.com) https://carrickm.ipower.com/store/index.html (CD’s Of Julie Carrick Music (her website store))   Support this podcast

163: How to Achieve Any Goal // Jen Kane

3 in 30 Takeaways for Moms

It’s a new year, and many of us are probably thinking about goals and how we can achieve a total life makeover in 2021. Especially with 2020 being the tough year that it was in so many ways, I know that I am craving a fresh start and that deeper sense of control that I feel at the beginning of a new year. THIS will be the year that I become who I am meant to be! But underneath that enthusiasm, there’s also that little pessimistic, some might argue realistic, voice saying, “You didn’t revolutionize your existence last year, and you’re probably not going to this year ever. You never actually achieve all of these new years goals...so why even bother?” Today on the podcast, we have a special guest who is going to teach us how to achieve your goals in life, but her process may not be what you are expecting. Jen Kane is a life coach and business coach who is passionate about helping women go after their dreams and ambitions. A defining moment for Jen was when her 4th baby was life-flighted for emergency surgery for an undiagnosed heart defect. She realized then that playing small doesn’t keep us safe and tomorrow isn’t promised and decided it was time to start living the life of her dreams, right now. In the process she became an expert at helping people get to the root cause of why they aren't creating the results they want to see in their lives and helping them take action. Jen has become a dear friend of mine via the internet in the past few years, and I am so excited to learn from her and share this conversation with all of you! *** 3 Takeaways for How to Achieve your Goals in Life 1. Know what a goal is and what it is not. A goal IS NOT something you can use to prove your worth or give you happiness. A goal IS an opportunity to focus your efforts, to try something you wouldn’t normally do, and to establish a time when you will stop and learn from yourself.   2. Decide that you’re going to achieve the goal and visualize it. Your success is inevitable as long as you keep going, and a really powerful way to reinforce that belief is to visualize yourself having already achieved the goal or write a letter to yourself from your future self explaining what life is like after your goal has been reached and all of the wisdom you learned along the way.   3. Start with what you believe about yourself instead of fixating on your specific action plan. Many different plans could get you to your goal, but until you get clear about what you are believing and thinking about yourself deep down, it will be hard to make any of those actions plans work. *** Show Notes Jen Kane’s Instagram, https://www.instagram.com/heyjenkane/ (@heyjenkane) Get a free 55-minute consultation with Jen! https://jenkane.as.me/schedule.php (Sign up here). >>>Get a free worksheet to help you apply this episode by signing up for my weekly emails: https://3in30podcast.com/takeaways/ (3in30podcast.com/takeaways)
