Jake Thurm has been named one of the “Best Young Teachers in America” by Golf Digest for three consecutive years. His students will tell you why. Jake's instruction offers a unique combination of physical and mental guidance, customized for each student and informed by technology and analytics. He never gives the same lesson twice. A fundamental tenet of Jake's instruction is that no two players swing precisely alike. Because of this, he works to understand the unique biomechanics of each student. Data allows him to assess and not guess. Then, he tailors his teaching to help his students discover their most natural and effective swing. The Chicago native draws on his deep knowledge of the game as a former all-conference golfer and protégé of legendary instructor Dr. Jim Suttie, as well as from his background in clinical psychology. The result is an innovative mind-body approach that has earned accolades from PGA Tour winners, including Kevin Streelman, James Hahn, Dudley Hart, and Chip Beck. Jake has worked at over 100 PGA Tour events, including all four major championships, and appears on the Golf Channel as an expert commentator.Jake is highly regarded in Chicagoland golf circles as Midwest Director for the USA Junior National Golf Team and Nike Junior Golf Camp Director at Fresh Meadow Golf Club in Hillside. He also operates golf schools at Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont and is on the Master Staff at Club Champion in Willowbrook. Whether working with PGA pros or promising young players, Jake identifies a common trait in all his students. “They are serious players passionate about improving their game,” he says. “When that's the case, I'm equally passionate about helping them. If something is true for you, is it true for everyone else? Why can two otherwise reasonable people arrive at very different conclusions? In my senior year of high school I produced an original philosophical framework for analyzing "the Truth." I believe that to move beyond petty disagreement and into meaningful resolution we need to have a better, more realistic way of understanding what exactly it means for something to be "True." Andy and Brendan are punchy for the Players preview, which will have you feeling as unprepared as ever for the PGA Tour's gold standard. They react to the full day of press conferences following a players meeting in the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse. Jay Monahan's hour at the mic is given a review, as is Rory McIlroy's presser and others' comments reacting to James Hahn and some grumbling from the middle tier. They talk a little about TPC Sawgrass and what continues to make it a unique event and test, and then rifle through some of the worst, best, and most amusing tee times for the first two rounds. News hits on Netflix ordering another season of Full Swing and then it's another handful of rambling segments on various characters signs us off before the start of the 5th major.
Let's dive into the wildest PGA Tour Sunday of the year! How did Kurt Kitayama win? How did Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and others come up short? Dylan and Sean dive into the results from Bay Hill, run through an Up and Down segment and tackle the latest PGA Tour changes including James Hahn's gripes with the PGA Tour — and whether they're legit. Enjoy!
This Monday episode is a ramble with Brendan traveling to LUPLAND and Andy battling spotty wifi, but the two react to a delightful and amusing Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. They discuss Kurt Kitayama's rise to win one of the game's elite events, his unattractive game holding up against the likes of Spieth and Rory and Scheffler, and if Bay Hill truly delineates the best golfer from the week. There's plenty of ammo for the “just a guy” narrative from the sketchy drop to the putting at the finish. They debate more about the new Designated formats for next year and where that would have left someone like Harris English. James Hahn's comments are given a quick examination, with plenty of laughs but also a few points that may be somewhat valid however inarticulately told.
Kurt Kitayama holds off a star-studded leaderboard at Bay Hill to win the Arnold Palmer Invitational and claim his first career win on tour. We review the week for Kitayama and the rest of the leaderboard, evaluate our impressions the golf course, and a thought or two on the NBC coverage (or lack thereof). We also check in on Jin Young Ko's win on the LPGA Tour in Singapore and offer some additional thoughts on the PGA restructuring announcement from earliest this week, plus a thorough response to James Hahn's Golfweek comments and more.

We are joined this week by Australian professional golfer Travis Smyth. We discuss his move to Chicago, playing on the Asian Tour, Saudi Arabia's investment into the Asian Tour, playing his way in to 3 LIV events, and what to expect from him in the future. It was great insight from a golfer who has played LIV events. Afterwards, I discuss the new 6 LIV golf signings, LIV Boston, James Hahn's reaction to the new PGA Tour structure, plus much more.
On this episode of the Pull Hook Golf podcast the hosts, Mini Tour Dropout Matt Cook & PGA Tour Caddie Bobby Brown, recap the come from behind victory by Rory McIlroy at the Tour Championship last week. They'll breakdown the leaderboard and discuss what happened to Scottie Scheffler, Sung-jae Im and Xander Schauffele. They'll discuss the Korn Ferry Tour and what to watch out for in their final event where players are trying to secure their PGA Tour cards for next year. Former guest James Hahn made waves this past week as the solo vote against the new PGA Tour's upcoming changes. LIV Golf added 6 new players, 2 of which seem like replacement players for those who decided not to join LIV at the 23rd hour. The Dan Patrick Show made a great point regarding the PGA Tour. Is the PGA Tour facing an upcoming patent infringement lawsuit because of Tiger & Rory's new TGL? Andy and Brendan are buzzing as they hit record shortly after watching that Sunday duel between Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler at the Tour Championship. They discuss the fallacy of the entertainment being a “win for the format.” They praise Rory for the longevity of his greatness, critique Scottie for a poor day in an otherwise excellent year, and revel in a rewarding day of golf-watching to finish off the season. After plenty of Rory and Scottie talk, they get to the news of another batch of LIV defections that would significantly harm the Presidents Cup. Some were expected, others were a mild surprise, including Joaquin Niemann, who was just in that Delaware meeting plotting the future of the Tour. During the LIV chat, they also note some fairly alarming quotes from Cam Young. They close with the continued but amusing incoherence of James Hahn.
This Wednesday episode begins with some thoughts on the last major of the year, the AIG Women's Open at Muirfield. Andy and Brendan discuss their recent trip to the course, some favorite holes, some amusing stories, and how the women's game might bring it into the modern world. On the PGA Tour, they discuss the myth of the FEC bubble and how many players hovering around it are truly unworthy of a “postseason” berth after this week's Wyndham. This leads to more Max McGreevy facts than you could ever anticipate. James Hahn's weird and misguided tweets are dissected, as is the new PGA Tour schedule, which seems to do nothing more than throw some money at the problems while changing very little else. News hits on Tiger Woods's astronomical offer to join LIV, Patrick Reed going to Asia to play golf, and a Henrik Stenson conspiracy theory.
On this episode of the Pull Hook Golf podcast, Matt Cook & Bobby Brown, sit down with PGA Tour Pro James Hahn. The guys discuss James' final round at the 3M Open this past weekend, which led to a T-4 finish. Bobby and James reminisce when Bobby was on the bag for James at Liberty National. James then takes us down memory lane as he discusses growing up in Oakland, CA and his path to the PGA Tour. Don't worry, the guys also discussed the famous Gangnam Style dance on the famous 16th at the Waste Management Open. They wrap things up debating the controversial LIV Golf. MLB – Major League Baseball Yesterday Minnesota Twins 9, Detroit Tigers 1 Chicago White Sox 6, Cleveland Guardians 3 Chicago Cubs 4, Philadelphia Phillies 3 Twins 9, Tigers 1 – Twins sweep 2-game series with Tigers behind Gray, Miranda Sonny Gray allowed two hits in six innings to lead the Minnesota Twins to an 9-1 win over the Detroit Tiger. Gray is 2-0 against the Tigers this season, allowing one run on six hits in 13 innings. Jose Miranda had three hits and scored twice for the Twins, who are 2-0 since the All-Star break. The Tigers have lost three straight and 11 of 13. Rony Garcia allowed three runs on three hits and three hit batters in 2 2/3 innings before leaving with shoulder soreness. White Sox 6, Guardians 3 – Cease goes 6 scoreless innings, ChiSox beat Guardians 6-3 Dylan Cease threw six innings in his third straight scoreless start, Leury Garcia and AJ Pollock homered, and the Chicago White Sox beat the Cleveland Guardians 6-3 to salvage a four-game split. Eloy Jiménez went deep in his second straight game, helping the White Sox end a series that was shaping up as a bad one for them on a stronger note. The reigning AL Central champions won the second game of Saturday’s doubleheader after blowing a 3-0 lead. They jumped on Shane Bieber in this one and finished a stretch of 19 straight games against division opponents at 10-9. Chicago scored five in the second on Garcia’s two-run homer and Pollock’s three-run drive. Jiménez made it 6-0 when he connected leading off the sixth. Cubs 4, Phillies 3 – Gomes, Smyly help lift Cubs to three-game sweep of Phillies Yan Gomes hit two home runs, Drew Smyly tossed six sharp innings and the Chicago Cubs completed a three-game sweep with a 4-3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. Nelson Velázquez also went deep for the Cubs, who have won four in a row to pull within 19 games of .500. It was Chicago’s first three-game sweep in Philadelphia since July 25-27, 2000. Garrett Stubbs homered for the Phillies. Only the Reds, Athletics and Nationals entered the day with fewer wins than Chicago. Tonight San Diego (Manaea 5-4) at Detroit (Hutchison 1-4), 7:10 p.m. WSJM/WCSY 6:50 Pittsburgh (Brubaker 2-8) at Chicago Cubs (Sampson 0-1), 8:05 p.m. White Sox are off (White Sox are at Colorado on Tuesday at 8:40 p.m.) MLB – MLB, union have Monday deadline for international draft deal Major League Baseball made what was termed a “final offer” for an international draft, increasing proposed money for the first year in 2024 by $10 million to $191 million. The move came one day after the players’ association made a proposal that remained at $260 million and left the sides far apart heading into a Monday night deadline for a deal. Because an international draft was tied to dropping direct draft-pick compensation for qualified free agents, these negotiations will start to determine the market for a free agent group that includes Anthony Rizzo, J.D. Martinez, Chris Sale and Charlie Morton. MLB – Pete Rose to appear on field in Philadelphia next month Pete Rose will make an appearance on the field in Philadelphia next month for the first time since receiving a lifetime ban from Major League Baseball. Rose agreed to the lifetime ban in August 1989 after an investigation for MLB by lawyer John Dowd found Rose placed numerous bets on the Cincinnati Reds to win from 1985-87 while playing for and managing the team. Major League Baseball’s career hits leader will be part of Phillies alumni weekend, and will be introduced on the field alongside many former teammates from the 1980 World Series championship team on Aug. 7. MLB – Big Papi a big hit at his Baseball Hall of Fame induction Former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz was inducted into the Hall of Fame as legions of fans cheered him. They chanted “Papi! Papi!” from the lawn outside the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown, New York, and countless flags of his native Dominican Republic wafting in the breeze. Dressed in a blue suit with a red tie, Ortiz spoke from his heart, thanking all of those along the way that made his Hall of Famer journey possible. Six Era Committee selections also comprised in the Class of 2022 — former Twins teammates Jim Kaat and Tony Oliva, the late Minnie Miñoso, former Dodgers star and Mets manager Gil Hodges, and Black pioneers Buck O’Neil and Bud Fowler. WNBA – Women’s National Basketball Association Yesterday Dallas Wings 96, Indiana Fever 86 Wings 96, Fever 86 – Ogunbowale, Wings deal Fever 12th straight defeat 96-86 Arike Ogunbowale scored 16 of her 22 points in the second half and the Dallas Wings dealt the Indiana Fever a club-record 12th straight loss, 96-86. Teaira McCowan finished with 17 points for Dallas (12-15), while Allisha Gray scored 16 with three steals. Kayla Thornton pitched in with 11 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Gray scored 10 of her 11 first-half points in the second quarter to help Dallas rally from a 23-17 first-period deficit to a 45-39 lead at halftime. Gray hit a 3-pointer to push the lead to 10 just 1:11 into the third quarter and the Wings stayed in front from there. Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana (5-25) with a season-high 34 points. She added six assists, five rebounds and three steals. NASCAR – Elliott given Pocono win after Hamlin, Busch disqualified First-place finisher Denny Hamlin was disqualified when his No. 11 Toyota failed inspection, giving Chase Elliott the NASCAR Cup Series victory Sunday at Pocono Raceway. Joe Gibbs Racing had Hamlin’s car and runner-up Kyle Busch’s No. 18 Toyota both disqualified. Hamlin lost his record seventh victory at Pocono and his third win of the season. Busch had led a race-high 63 laps. There was no immediate word why the Toyotas were disqualified. Elliott, who had finished third, was given his fourth win of the season. NASCAR believed the last time it disqualified an apparent winner was April 17, 1960, when Emanuel Zervakis’ victory at Wilson Speedway in North Carolina was thrown out because of an oversized fuel tank. IndyCar – Josef Newgarden taken to hospital; Pato O’Ward wins at Iowa Josef Newgarden collapsed in the motorhome lot following his late crash Sunday at Iowa Speedway and was taken to a Des Moines hospital by helicopter for evaluation. Team Penske said he’d be held overnight. IndyCar medical director Dr. Geoffrey Billows said Newgarden was awake and alert. Newgarden dominated and led 148 of the 300 laps while trying to sweep the doubleheader weekend. But something on his Team Penske car broke with 64 laps remaining and her spun hard into the outside wall — creating an opening for Pato O’Ward of Arrow McLaren SP to win the race. Golf – PGA – Finau wins 3M Open by 3 with late surge, Piercy collapse Tony Finau shot a 4-under 67 to win the 3M Open by three strokes. He erased a five-stroke deficit with 11 holes left as Scott Piercy tumbled out of the lead down the stretch at windy TPC Twin Cities. Piercy followed his tournament-record 54-hole score with a wince-inducing 76 to tie for fourth. He was four strokes back. Finau finished at 17-under 267. Sungjae Im and Emiliano Grillo tied for second place. James Hahn surged in with a 65 to match Piercy and Tom Hoge at 13 under. Piercy bogeyed four of six holes before a triple bogey on 14. Olympics – Track looks to pump up US fan base ahead of 2028 LA Olympics Track is a niche sport in the United States when it comes to the fan base, even while the country hosts its first track world championships. The stands were half-empty at times and opening-weekend TV ratings didn’t beat out a routine NASCAR race. The sport’s leaders would like that to change over the next six years. They say that with sagging viewership totals and flat revenue across the broader Olympic world, it’s critical to bring the cornerstone sport of the games back to its glory days in the U.S. before they return to Los Angeles in 2028. Track and Field – Sydney McLaughlin anchors US on record-setting day at worlds Sydney McLaughlin took the last victorious lap of an All-American world championships. She pulled away in the 4-by-400 relay to close a U.S. runaway and give the Americans their record 33rd medal for the meet. McLaughlin turned a .73-second lead into a 2.93-second runaway on the anchor lap, adding this burst of speed to the world record she set two nights earlier in the 400 hurdles. Two more world records went down — in the very first and very last action of the last session at Hayward Field. Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan opened the evening by setting the record for the 100-meter hurdles in the semifinals: 12.12 seconds. And, pole vaulter Armand Duplantis of Sweden cleared 6.21 meters (20 feet, 4 1/2 inches) to best his world record. NFL – Matthew Stafford throws passes in Rams’ camp practice opener Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford threw to receivers in practice Sunday for the first time since Los Angeles’ Super Bowl victory. Stafford had an injection in his throwing elbow early in the offseason to treat an unspecified injury with which he played late last season. He avoided any serious throws during minicamps and organized team activities, but he was throwing again in the opening practice of the Rams’ training camp at UC Irvine. Stafford said he has gradually ramped up his throwing activity in recent months, and he threw the ball in informal workouts before camp. NHL – Tkachuk gets to Florida, says trade left him ‘very ecstatic’ Only a couple days after being traded, Matthew Tkachuk already feels at home in Florida. The newly acquired Florida forward’s parents are building a home about an hour from where the Panthers play their home games. He has familiarity with the Panthers, is already friends with some of his new teammates, is working on quickly building relationships with head coach Paul Maurice and general manager Bill Zito. And on Sunday, for the first time, Tkachuk began explaining why he believes leaving Calgary for Florida is the best move for him right now. The Panthers will formally introduce him on Monday. NBA – Philadelphia’s Chinatown fears community, business loss in 76ers arena plan Organizers and members of Philadelphia’s Chinatown say they were surprised by the 76ers’ announcement that they hope to build a $1.3 billion arena just a block from the community’s gateway arch. They say no one reached out for community input before the announcement. Now, they fear that they’ll be merely a stepping stone for people visiting the arena and that real estate values will price out older and immigrant residents. Chinatowns throughout the U.S. have been under threat from gentrification or development over the years. A spokesperson for the arena development company says that the process is in its infancy and that they planned to work with the community. Major League Baseball’s career hits leader will be part of Phillies alumni weekend, and will be introduced on the field alongside many former teammates from the 1980 World Series championship team on Aug. 7. This video explains the very basics of Ownership in PGA DFS Hi – We like playing Fantasy Golf. It is fun for us! We don't play for a lot of money, maybe $20 max a week. We don't pay for picks or services. We just watch golf and use our gut to make picks. Chad and Eric play on DraftKings. In this video Chad will explain why Ownership is important to consider when playing contests on DraftKings… First off I know, this is SUPER basic stuff: Ownership is much more important when playing giant GPPs vs Cash games… This might be obvious: Knowing who will be popular and who is being overlooked can shine light on value. Why though? No one knows anything. Experts may know stats and things, but they simply aren't able to predict the future. What do we mean??? Athlete performance is unpredictable. This is proven week in and week out. Good are bad; Bad are good. Things happen. Performance of athletes across all sports is inconsistent. ESPECIALLY in golf. Specifically in the performance of a golfers Irons for example or Putter… Irons tend to be more consistent from week to week, but… one day you can be on fire with the putter, the next day you're awful. That is golf. This applies to everyone: Tiger, Rory, JT, James Hahn. Anyone. You, Eric, me. So! When can we use this to our advantage? When the betting public, who, remember is bad at predicting things, has too much confidence in a play or player, … groupthink has stifled people's ability to think creatively and for themselves… When the industry as a whole is telling everyone “Rory can't lose” “DJ will certainly win” “Brooks is by far the best play” .. Pivot. Pick differently. Shy away from the “sure things” and remember that no one knows anything, but everyone thinks they know things… Use this against the other DFS players in large contests. Select a couple golfers in your player pool that no one else likes. Create unique rosters. This brings me to the next point about ownership… Ownership is important with overall roster construction. Using popular plays, chalk, or clicking names that have positive sentiment is perfectly fine and sometimes hard to avoid. Some good names are popular for a good reason, they are hot, love the course, low priced and hard to ignore. Use them. A player who is highly owned by the industry doesn't mean they are automatically a fade/ someone to avoid rostering. Determining the right chalk fades and low owned pivots is what we try to do every week on the Fantasy Golf Pod. That is the name of the DFS game. Simply position yourself that has a roster or maybe just 1 player that is just a little different and unique that can help push you to placing in the payouts. Don't be afraid to take chances. DFS is about making calculated risks. Scared money doesn't make money. Playing all of the popular names you've heard that week isn't going to get you ahead of Joe Public DFS player. Where do I find ownership projections? Fantasy National has a database that users click around on and then ownership is determined that way. FanShare sports is an industry leader that takes chatter of a player in the industry and turns it into tags and then calculates ownership that way. It is absolutely an inexact science. Every week these projections are wildly inaccurate. You have to remember also, most of the industry has access to these projections and make pivots based off of them. You don't need to pay a service to a company to project who will be most and least owned… Ask a couple of your buddies who they are betting that week; whatever names come up most often, don't use them in DFS. Hot form can draw ownership. Course history causes clicks. Social media posts or random things can cause a players popularity to rise. If you are following Golf day to day, you will start to figure out what makes someone pop from week to week. We discuss ownership projections and our favorite pivot plays every week on our Pod – join us on Tuesdays. There are SOO many ways to play DFS. Try experimenting with different types of contests. After a while you will figure out how you like to lose your money best. Watch our weekly Pod for advice! The program premieres this Thanksgiving on Thurs., Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. on PBS SoCal and will also air at 8:30 p.m. on KCET. Following the broadcast, the film will be available for streaming exclusively on PBS Passport, the member-supported streaming service. The film will include interviews with former all-star players including Steve Garvey, Bill Russell, Ron Cey, Steve Yeager, Manny Mota, Steve Sax, Nomar Garciaparra, Kenny Landreaux and others about their most memorable games. Current Dodgers player Justin Turner shares his thoughts about being part of the Dodgers history. Other Dodgers legends featured include former manager Tommy Lasorda and former LA mayor James Hahn, who was a Dodgers batboy. Also included are celebrated sportscasters Vin Scully and Jaime Jarrin, as well as in-depth interviews with Dodgers historian Mark Langill and former LA councilmember Rosalind Wyman, who was influential in bringing the Dodgers from Brooklyn to Los Angeles. Rather than a chronological history of the team in LA, the program is divided into themes such as “The Stadium,” “Rivalries,” and “Trailblazers.”

For more information email Dustin – dustin@geoconvention.com Questions: My name is Sam List and I am a senior studying Geology and Business at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. I am a really big fan of the show and have been listening ever since this past summer when I worked in downtown Houston for for a small oil and gas company as a geologist prospecting plays in the SCOOP and STACK of Oklahoma. I have a passion for the geosciences and the oil and gas industry but I am not sure what type of research or what field I want to specialize in when I get to graduate school. After working in Houston where it seemed like the geologists have focused on petroleum geology, petroleum engineering, and sed/strat. I was wondering which areas within the geoscience’s do not get the attention and dedication of research that is necessary for advancing the oil and gas industry? Dear Jake: Firstly, I enjoy & anticipate listening to your podcast’s weekly. My question is concerning investors/venture capitalist. We are a young construction company with incredible year over year growth even during the recent downturn. We have opportunities for growth in the Permian basin that requires us considering a capital injection if we are to take advantage of opportunity. Banks are risk averse & require excess collateral, factoring working capital companies exclude “progressive” construction companies such as ours. It appears that our last avenue is investors/venture capitalist’s if we are to continue on our current growth curve. Any assistance, advice or information will be greatly appreciated I have a question for Mark. You’ve predicted that unconventionals will go global this year. Outside the US were do you predict the biggest activity will be? Who’s going to be the next biggest producer of oil & gas from tight plays? second question, I’ve heard counter arguments that unconventionals will have difficulty going global do to the lack of infrastructure and services. What are your thoughts on this? Mr. LaCour, I hope this message finds you well. I’m not sure if you remember me, but I sent you and James Hahn an email about possibly speaking at Pepperdine Law a few months ago. I’m sorry we weren’t able to finance the engagement, it certainly would have been a wonderful opportunity for students interested in O&G. Holly G is in the studio with Will Perry, social media guru EVVUS, and co host Kevin Sternett, assistant pro at Golden Bear Club at Keene's Point. Bob Harig, ESPN.com, from TPC calls in to start the show and talks about James Hahn's amazing struggle to win on the PGA Tour prior to him capturing last week's PGA Tour event title. Holly discusses with Bob Hahn's honest comments after his win at press conference. Hahn had 8 straight missed cuts and he started to question himself and his abilities. Then all of that changed in one tournament when he broke through and not only made the cut but won. Bob says that the media often covers the winners and their lifestyles but tend to forget the fragile nature of game and there are some low moments for some of these guys. He said that followers of the game become numb to private planes, expensive lifestyles that some of the Tour players enjoy. Hahn actually quit and went back working what an amazing story and a really good win for the game of golf! HG asks Bob about Jordan Spieth and The Players being Spieth's first tournament since the Masters. Bob said that unfortunately going forward that part of Jordan's legacy will be the major he didn't win. Bob points out that last year after Spieth won the Masters, he missed the cut at the Players Championship so he wants to get back on track after finishing second at Augusta, taking a break, not he is really busy from here on out with consecutive tournaments. Although Rory McIlroy would like to win The Players, the course really doesn't suit him. Bob's pick is Henrik Stenson. Once again, Volvik is The Golf Insiders' product of the month. Volvik's new Vivid ball is the first matte golf ball. Put some color in your game and play one of the Volvik golf balls. Holly talks about the island green on the infamous 17th hole at the TPC Sawgrass. Dr. Dan Vosgerichian Ph.D., Elite Sports Performance out of Jacksonville, Fla. calls in to break down the mental aspect of playing the hole. Dan has worked as a professional caddie at TPC Sawgrass, Home of The Players Championship, as well as an assistant to Florida State University's PGA Professional Golf Management Program. Garry Smits, Florida Times Union, calls in to talk to the trio about the many, many potential contenders, the big names in golf, but the course doesn't really favor any particular style. Garry feels that basically the guy who hits greens and makes a few putts wins this tournament. There are 144 guys in the tournament who are recent Tour winners, the top 125 on FedEx Cup and the guys who are the Top 50 in the world, etc. so everybody in this field have played well in the past two years and are a threat to win. Holly finishes the hour out talking to Golfweek's Lance Ringler who calls in to talk about the latest in collegiate golf with both the women and the men's. BYU made the tournament and they have an agreement with the NCAA about not competing on Sundays. Lance wrote and article for Golfweek about it. Used to not be a problem, but since TV is part of the format and there are 6 days of competition, Sunday is right in the middle. So BYU will play after practice on Thursday and that will actually Sunday's hole location. So their first round is actually their first round. So they can have Sunday off. Kevin talks to Lance about the fact that it might seem unfair for BYU to be able to play without any other players playing from other schools. But Lance said other teams are going to be able to watch them from outside the ropes.
David Returns to Discuss what went wrong for Rickie on Sunday, What Rory and Phil's Sunday Charge could mean going forward. James Hahn's surprise victory was PGX's first, does that mean anything? They move on to the Players Championship and end the program talking about what type of golf hole they really enjoy playing.
Congratulations to James Hahn who won for the 2nd time on the PGA TOUR at the Wells Fargo. Now the TOUR moves on to THE PLAYERS. Bob and Alex review and analyze the Hahn win then preview THE PLAYERS. We hear from Hahn, Mickelson, McIlroy and even from Jesper Parnevik who won the PGA TOUR Champions Insperity Invitational in The Woodlands, TX. The Olympics...good or not for golf...that is the question Bob and Alex debate. #JamesHahn #PGATOUR
James Hahn wins at the Wells Fargo Championship, the 2016 Players Championship is on deck, and will Tiger Woods ever win again? Golf Channel's Matt Adams, Will Gray, Rex Hoggard, and Ryan Lavner break it down.
