Batman Ninja Vs Yakuza League When it came out in 2018, Batman Ninja may not have been our cup of green tea, in fact it was definitely NOT. But is this sequel many years in the making, more to our tastes? Or has it gone off like sushi in the sun? It's Batman as a Ninja, with his Bat-boys in tow, going up against not the Justice League, but the Yakuza League... yes Yakuza League. It's much easier if you don't try to have it make sense. Just let the weird wash over you... This one was Quinny's choice and as such he's willing to refund anyone the $7 Dollars* it takes to watch it. jill has already claimed hers and Dion is not far behind. Synopsis: Only a day after returning from the past, Batman and his allies discover that the world is not quite the same as they left it. The entire island of Japan no longer exists and neither do the heroes of the Justice League. But before they can get a handle on what is going on, yakuza literally start raining from the skies. *Quinny will refund you in the form friendship and free podcasts; not actual cash. https://youtu.be/GgUt8I_L17s A huge shout-out to the Bat-fans and Bat-fam who join in with our moderated live-chat during the Twitch stream, each Tuesday night at 7:30pm AEDT. DON TONY AND KEVIN CASTLE SHOW is back for: WWE SURVIVOR SERIES 2023: THE AFTERMATH; a tremendous episode filling with top shelf discussion. In addition to Survivor Series and WarGames, Don Tony and Kevin Castle get into some major news stories and discussion, make several bold match predictions and what could, should, and likely happen for many WWE Superstars between the close of 2023, thru WrestleMania 40 and beyond. SOME TOPICS DISCUSSED: CM Punk returns to WWE. DT/KC discuss his appearance at Survivor Series, his return promo on Raw, interesting reaction amongst IWC, members of AEW and elite media already pissing in Punk's Corn Flakes and more. DT/KC offer some truth serum about CM Punk and why he will NOT be cutting any Pipebombs about AEW. CM Punk and AJ Lee vs Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch? It's a match DT/KC believe can absolutely happen in 2024. Bryan Danielson revealed to have led a special disciplinary committee that led to the decision to release CM Punk. While others try to twist this into a controversial story, DT/KC praise Bryan Danielson's AEW role behind the cameras. CM Punk NOT winning any WWE Championships before or at WrestleMania 40? Not only do DT/KC believe he won't win any Titles, but the idea many are claiming that CM Punk will be the primary center of attention on WWE TV are sadly mistaken Within 24 hours, countless news and podcasters went from Triple H not telling his Champions in advance about CM Punk's return, to reporting as news that WWE already planning CM Punk vs Roman Reigns and others in 2024. It is not news. Noone received that information from WWE officials or CM Punk. It's simply common sense and what is best for WWE business. Randy Orton returns to WWE after an 18 month absence, and he looks in even better shape. DT/KC discuss his appearance at Survivor Series, his match against Dominik Mysterio on Raw, who he will face in the immediate future, and why an RKO to Jey Uso and a feud with Cody Rhodes could and should happen. Randy Orton will go down as one of the greatest wrestlers of this generation. And DT/KC are not just saying it because he just returned after 18-month absence. Judgement Day for Damian Priest is coming soon. While many believe we will get Damian Priest vs Finn Balor at WrestleMania 40, DT/KC have an even better match to pitch: Damian Priest and Bad Bunny vs Dominik Mysterio and Logan Paul. Could The Creed Brothers dethrone Finn Balor and Damian Priest for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships? Mercedes Mone' (Sasha Banks) will return to WWE in 2024. And she will reunite as a tag team with Bayley, who soon gets kicked out of Damage CTRL by the Japanese Yakuza. 'Bank' on it. Carlito: DT/KC believe something is up with WWE and Carlito. As much as DT/KC like Carlito, are WWE having second thoughts about bringing him back? Rumors are flying that Warner Bros Discovery is one of three networks to land WWE Raw. If that happens, does anyone truly believe TKO Group Holdings would accept a TV Deal with WBD for Raw while AEW programming remains on TNT/TBS? How ironic. WBD approves AEW Collision with the show centered around CM Punk. And now reports are that WBD could want WWE Raw, which now features CM Punk DT/KC Scenario for Rollins/Punk/McIntyre/Zayn: Seth Rollins soon drops the WHC to Drew McIntyre. Rollins feuds with CM Punk with no Titles on the line. Drew McIntyre gets his moment as WHC in front of fans at WrestleMania 40. Drew then drops the WHC to Sami Zayn in the main event at the next WWE event in Saudi Arabia. Zoey Stark: DT/KC discuss the precise moment WWE damaged Zoey Stark and why she has not and will not likely recover any time soon. Expect Zoey to have another cup of coffee in NXT sooner than later Gunther remains on Cruise Control and DT/KC appreciate the current use of The Miz and the crowd acceptance of his current push. Honest thoughts on Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, the current state of the Women's Tag Team Division, the current push of Dragon Lee; and the elevation of Santos Escobar Where is Dexter Lumis? Who would you rather have a beer with: Randy Orton or John Cena WWE SUMMERSLAM 2023 RESULTS: Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Shotzi, and Becky Lynch def Damage CTRL: Bayley, Asuka, Iyo Sky, and Kairi Sane (WarGames Match) Gunther (c) def The Miz (Intercontinental Championship) Santos Escobar def Dragon Lee Rhea Ripley (c) def Zoey Stark (Women's World Championship) Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton def The Judgment Day (Damian Priest, Finn Bálor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh) and Drew McIntyre (WarGames Match) If you enjoy this episode, please share the links for this episode with others! This episode will be a fun listen well beyond Survivor Series. What predictions did DTKC nail, and which went in a totally different direction. ====

“Theft is the act of taking another person's property or services without that person's permission or consent with the intent to deprive the rightful owner of it.[1][2][3] The word theft is also used as a synonym or informal shorthand term for some crimes against property, such as larceny, robbery,[1] embezzlement, extortion, blackmail, or receiving stolen property.[2] In some jurisdictions, theft is considered to be synonymous with larceny,[4][5] while in others, theft is defined more narrowly.[6] Someone who carries out an act of theft may be described as a "thief" (pl: thieves).[7]” “Burglary, also called breaking and entering (B&E)[1] and sometimes housebreaking,[2] is the act of illegally entering a building or other areas without permission, typically with the intention of committing a criminal offence. Usually that offence is theft, larceny, robbery, or murder, but most jurisdictions include others within the ambit of burglary. To commit burglary is to burgle,[3] a term back-formed from the word burglar, or to burglarize.[4][3]” I saw similar things: “The newest growth sectors for organized crime are identity theft and online extortion. These activities are troubling because they discourage consumers from using the Internet for e-commerce. E-commerce was supposed to level the playing ground between small and large businesses, but the growth of online organized crime is leading to the opposite effect; large businesses are able to afford more bandwidth (to resist denial-of-service attacks) and superior security. Furthermore, organized crime using the Internet is much harder to trace down for the police (even though they increasingly deploy cybercops) since most police forces and law enforcement agencies operate within a local or national jurisdiction while the Internet makes it easier for criminal organizations to operate across such boundaries without detection. In the past criminal organizations have naturally limited themselves by their need to expand, putting them in competition with each other. This competition, often leading to violence, uses valuable resources such as manpower (either killed or sent to prison), equipment and finances. In the United States, James "Whitey" Bulger, the Irish Mob boss of the Winter Hill Gang in Boston turned informant for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He used this position to eliminate competition and consolidate power within the city of Boston which led to the imprisonment of several senior organized crime figures including Gennaro Angiulo, underboss of the Patriarca crime family. Infighting sometimes occurs within an organization, such as the Castellamarese war of 1930–31 and the Boston Irish Mob Wars of the 1960s and 1970s. Today criminal organizations are increasingly working together, realizing that it is better to work in cooperation rather than in competition with each other (once again, consolidating power). This has led to the rise of global criminal organizations such as Mara Salvatrucha, 18th Street gang and Barrio Azteca. The American Mafia, in addition to having links with organized crime groups in Italy such as the Camorra, the 'Ndrangheta, Sacra Corona Unita and Sicilian Mafia, has at various times done business with the Irish Mob, Jewish-American organized crime, the Japanese Yakuza, Indian mafia, the Russian mafia, Thief in law and Post-Soviet Organized crime groups, the Chinese Triads, Chinese Tongs and Asian street gangs, Motorcycle Gangs and numerous White, Black and Hispanic prison and street gangs. “All three dark triad traits are conceptually distinct although empirical evidence shows them to be overlapping. They are associated with a callous–manipulative interpersonal style.[9] Narcissism is characterized by grandiosity, pride, egotism, and a lack of empathy.[10] Machiavellianism is characterized by manipulation and exploitation of others, an absence of morality, lack of emotion, and a higher level of self-interest.[11] Psychopathy is characterized by continuous antisocial behavior, impulsivity, selfishness, callous and unemotional traits (CU),[12] and remorselessness.[13]” I had similar experiences in the DMV: “The newest growth sectors for organized crime are identity theft and online extortion. “Organized crime (or organised crime) is a category of transnational, national, or local groupings of highly centralized enterprises run by criminals to engage in illegal activity, most commonly for profit. While organized crime is generally thought of as a form of illegal business, some criminal organizations, such as terrorist groups, rebel forces, and separatists, are politically motivated. Many criminal organizations rely on fear or terror to achieve their goals or aims as well as to maintain control within the organization and may adopt tactics commonly used by authoritarian regimes to maintain power. Some forms of organized crime simply exist to cater towards demand of illegal goods in a state or to facilitate trade of goods and services that may have been banned by a state (such as illegal drugs or firearms). Sometimes, criminal organizations force people to do business with them, such as when a gang extorts money from shopkeepers for "protection".[1] Street gangs may often be deemed organized crime groups or, under stricter definitions of organized crime, may become disciplined enough to be considered organized. A criminal organization can also be referred to as a gang, mafia, mob,[2][3] (crime) ring,[4] or syndicate;[5] the network, subculture, and community of criminals involved in organized crime may be referred to as the underworld or gangland. Sociologists sometimes specifically distinguish a "mafia" as a type of organized crime group that specializes in the supply of extra-legal protection and quasi-law enforcement. Academic studies of the original "Mafia", the Italian Mafia,[6] which predates the other groups, generated an economic study of organized crime groups and exerted great influence on studies of the Russian mafia,[7] the Chinese Triads,[8] the Hong Kong Triads,[9] and the Japanese Yakuza.[10]” “Sport pertains to any form of physical activity or game,[1] often competitive and/or organized, that aims to use, maintain, or improve physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment to participants and, in some cases, entertainment to spectators.[2] Sports can, through casual or organized participation, improve participants' physical health. Hundreds of sports exist, from those between single contestants, through to those with hundreds of simultaneous participants, either in teams or competing as individuals. In certain sports such as racing, many contestants may compete, simultaneously or consecutively, with one winner; in others, the contest (a match) is between two sides, each attempting to exceed the other. Some sports allow a "tie" or "draw", in which there is no single winner; others provide tie-breaking methods to ensure one winner and one loser. A number of contests may be arranged in a tournament producing a champion. Many sports leagues make an annual champion by arranging games in a regular sports season, followed in some cases by playoffs.” --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/antonio-myers4/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/antonio-myers4/support

This Japanese mafia was rich, much feared, and virtually untouchable. But now their numbers, money and power have dwindled. There are only 23,000 Yakuzas left today, and they are older and poorer.

Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor 2. Kakegurui (Compulsive Gambler) 3. Legendary Gambler Tetsuya 4. One Outs 5. No Game No Life 6. Akagi: Yami ni Oritatta Tensai 7. Alice In Borderland 8. Rio: Rainbow Gate 9. Death Parade 10. C: The Money Of Soul And Possibility Control 10. C: The Money Of Soul And Possibility Control C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control is an anime-inspired by gambling where gamblers stake more than just their money and assets — their lives. It is a famous 2011 anime series directed by Kenji Nakamura, known for his work in Tsuritama and Gatchaman Crowds anime. The series follows the life of Kimimaro Yoga, a scholarship student of Economics, who is struggling to scrape enough to eat thanks to the destroyed Japanese economy resulting in people fleeing the country in search of a better life. Those who remain are experiencing unimaginable difficulties in providing their families with even the daily necessities. However, as those things go, not all people get to suffer the same. One day, a mysterious character Masakaki paid a visit to Kimimaro and invited him to the Eastern Financial District, a place where luxury and money are in abundance and where people gamble for more than just money. Kimimaro accepts the offer, becomes “Entre,” and embarks on never-ending bouts of gambling, staking his most valuable possession — his future. It is an anime that mixes the occult, the mysterious, and the very likely situation, since we have seen economies collapse on more than one occasion. The Money of Soul and Possibility Control tells about the willingness of people to gamble more than they can afford and partake in a dangerous game in search of a better life and prosperity that is not to be found there. 9. Death Parade Death Parade is a 2015 Japanese gambling anime series directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa that was meant to serve as a training series for animators. Instead, it grew into a franchise hit. Death Parade is an anime that connects the themes of gambling and death. The foreboding feeling you have now is justified since, in Death Parade, the recently deceased find themselves in a gambling bar, as there is no heaven in the afterlife, just a world of gambling. This bar is the only thing that stands in the way of eternal void and chance of reincarnation. The bartender Decim will offer those in attendance to play a random game with him, whether it is bowling, darts, or any other. The games are played with ultimate stakes — life or death. 8. Rio: Rainbow Gate Rio: Rainbow Gate is a perfect anime for all those who like the world of casino gambling and luxurious gambling resorts, as well as a good dose of humor. The storyline follows the life of Rio Rollins, a casino dealer working at the Howard Casino Resort situated on an island. Rio is known for her ability to bring good luck to gamblers, which is why she has a nickname “The Goddess of Victory.” A...

The normal functioning of societies has been strained by the coronavirus pandemic and the ensuing curbs on our freedom of movement, commerce, trade and employment. So what impact has Covid-19 had on organised crime? In some communities, gangs have stepped in to provide food, medication and other emergency assistance to families struggling to make ends meet. Money laundering and terrorist financing watchdog, the Financial Action Task Force, says the pandemic has resulted in an increase in “fraud, cyber-crime, misdirection or exploitation of government funds or international financial assistance”. The United Nations says border closures and flight cancellations have disrupted distribution chains for illegal drugs such as heroin. History tells us criminals can thrive in a crisis. During the Great Depression in the US, the mob moved from bootlegging into gambling and prostitution and the Italian Mafia and Japanese Yakuza grew during the huge displacement of people after World War Two. So, will similar trends emerge in 2020? Ritula Shah and a panel of expert guests discuss how the coronavirus pandemic will change the workings of organised crime.

After finding her boyfriend dead and being accused of murder, Macallan realizes she must escape New York City immediately. Not knowing who the real murderer might be, she decides she can only rely upon herself. Disobeying Seinshun's instructions, Macallan chooses not to head to Anchorage, but rather the small Alaskan fishing town of Homer. There, she meets Captain Jeffery Tulley and his First Mate Oberlin St. Clair, a pair of treasure hunters that are down on their luck. They both possess knowledge of the shipwreck, Cedar Elm, that Seinshun said might contain the Key that Macallan has been sent to find. Tulley and Oberlin are reluctant to return to the Cedar Elm because its remote location and because it has been slated for demolition by the US Navy. Suddenly, an assassination team pulls up and launches on assault on Tulley's boat. It is unclear if the target is Macallan or Tulley, as he has incurred significant debt with the Japanese Yakuza. Tulley, Macallan and Oberlin escape on their boat, Hail Mary, and head out to sea in the face of a monster storm. Shortly thereafter, Jason Sterling contacts Kasunori Tanaka to berate him over the botched attack on the Hail Mary. He reminds Tanaka that he owes much of his corporate success and wealth to the clandestine operations conducted by the Blackdoor Group. As a result of his failure, Sterling kidnaps Tanaka's only son, Toshi. His return will be dependent upon Tanaka completing another murderous mission for Blackdoor and currying favor with Jason Sterling. After battling the storm for twenty-four hours, the Hail Mary stumbles upon the Cedar Elm. Strangely, the shipwreck is located 500 hundred miles from its last reported location. Additionally, the Hail Mary's search and recovery equipment was badly damaged in the attack. However, after much deliberation, Tulley and Oberlin agree to help Macallan and launch a recovery mission on the Cedar Elm. This leads, of course, to discussion of Japanese Yakuza gangs and their origins and strategies.  Eric tells a sordid tale of crushing a neighbors mailbox with a U-Haul and this situation is broken down and analyzed as J&E cry laugh through Eric’s humiliation. Eric is bestowed a secondary nickname of “Three Pickle E” when J & E concoct new ways to zen out in lieu of freaking out during customer service calls and restaurant orders.
