If grit, talent, and perseverance were a person, it would be in the form of Gordon Greenberg. The multifaceted artist looks back at his younger years, sharing his first creative moment, and anecdotes about his journey which includes secretly taking a bus and walking into a producer's office in the hopes of getting offered a role. He talks about the creative process, casting choices, and the unique and campy style of the show. He reflects on the evolution of his career, juggling multiple creative roles, and how he ensures that his outputs remain authentic and engaging. Driven with passion and purpose in whatever he does, Gordon shares a powerful piece of advice to aspiring artists: “All the things you think are your greatest liabilities are going to become your greatest virtues.” Gordon Greenberg is an accomplished writer, director, producer, and teacher, and has collaborated with people like Zachary Quinto, Calista Flockhart, Antonio Banderas, Steven Schwartz, Steve Rosen, Neil Patrick Harris, Jerry Seinfeld, and Gary Marshall among others. A Broadway actor, author, and web series co-creator, Andrew Keenan-Bolger opens up about his personal experiences, life lessons, and insights into the world of theater, social media, and literature. He recalls his introduction to theater and his early influences, which include his older sister, and how he was able to pursue a career in acting, thanks to the overwhelming support he received from his parents at such a young age. Currently playing seven different characters in “Dracula, a Comedy of Terrors”, Andrew shares a glimpse of what the production is like, including costume changes, and why having chemistry with the people you work with is essential. While he successfully grew his online presence, he candidly reveals the toll social media can take on one's mental health, ultimately choosing to show only certain aspects of his life and providing valuable content to his followers. Andrew also touches on the transition from co-creating the digital series, “Submissions Only” to co-writing the book series, "Jack and Louisa". He reflects on the responsibility of writing for a younger audience, getting inspired by other people's works, and the importance of staying true to one's unique voice. Andrew Keenan-Bolger is a multi-talented actor, author, and social media influencer who began his professional theatrical journey at the age of 10, with his earliest roles in productions like "A Christmas Carol", “Beauty and the Beast”, and "The Sound of Music." His other stage credits include roles in productions such as "Seussical,""Mary Poppins," "Newsies," and "Tuck Everlasting." His TV credits include “The Undoing”, “The Blacklist”, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, “Nurse Jackie”, and “Naked Brothers Band”. He co-authored the middle-grade novel series "Jack and Louisa" alongside Kate Wetherhead, a delightful series that explores the adventures of two theater-loving friends. Alan Freed was a Cleveland radio DJ who helped popularize rock and roll in the early 1950s. The new musical about his life, “Rock & Roll Man,” opened off-Broadway at New World Stages on June 21.“Rock & Roll Man” features classics created by legends such as Little Richard, Chuck Berry, LaVern Baker, Buddy Holly, Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Screamin' Jay Hawkins, as well as original songs written just for the stage by Gary Kupper, who also penned the book for the show with Larry Marshak and Rose Caiola.Rock & Roll Man, starring Tony Award-nominee Constantine Maroulis and Emmy Award-winner Joe Pantoliano. Maroulis plays the Rock & Roll Man himself and he joins us now. His stage credits include Broadway's Rock of Ages (Tony nomination), RENT, Jesus Chris Superstar, and more. His work has received numerous awards and honors, and his books have been translated into nearly 20 languages.He has won three New England Press Association awards. His screenplay Stay Forever was twice picked as a finalist in the Sundance Writers Lab selections. The Big Book of Bad was nominated for the comic book Eisner Award and his superhero comics debut, The Search For Swamp Thing, became one of DC Comics' bestselling titles.Vankin's first book, Conspiracies, Cover-Ups, and Crimes, was the first comprehensive, journalistic investigation of America's conspiracy-theory underground, foreshadowing the current state of sociopolitical affairs by two decades. The Play That Goes Wrong, directed by Matt DiCarlo, opened at New World Stages with set design by Tony Award winner Nigel Hook, costume design by Roberto Surace, lighting design by Jeremy Cunningham, and sound design by Beth Lake. The original Broadway production was directed by Mark Bell and featured lighting design by Ric Mountjoy and sound design by Andrew Johnson. The Broadway production of The Play That Goes Wrong began performances on March 9, 2017, officially opened on April 2, 2017.

Joel Kirk is a New York City theatre director and producer who specializes in the development of new plays and musicals. He has worked with New World Stages, Playwrights Horizons, NYMF, The Lark, New Dramatists, Sheen Center, Hudson Guild Theatre, Wide Eyed Productions, WorkShop Theatre, to name a few. Recently he worked with Tony Award Winner Reed Birney and Tony Award Nominee Sydney Lucas on the play CHANGEOVER. He has guest directed for NYU'S Grad Playwriting Program, Ball State University, and Fordham University's Playwriting Program. He is the Chairman/CEO of Joel Kirk Productions. Joel recently launched a non-profit called Discovering Broadway Inc. The New York Times wrote that "Discovering Broadway brings actors and writers to Central Indiana for weeklong retreats to workshop their new musicals." The vision of the organization is to make Indiana the first stop on Broadway's journey. Discovering Broadway Inc. has currently programmed new musicals based on the major motion pictures of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and EVER AFTER. The new musical, "¡Americano!," tells the true story of Tony Valdovinos, who didn't learn he was an undocumented immigrant until he attempted to enlist in the Marine Corps. We are joined by Valdovinos, actor Sean Ewing, who plays Tony in the show, and composer Carrie Rodriguez, who created the score. "¡Americano!" runs at New World Stages through June 19.
