Sometimes—OK, who are we kidding, literally all the time—you look down at the stuff you've had to cut from previous episodes due to time constraints, and you say to yourself, "There's no way I'm leaving this behind." And you're right, there's no way we'd let that happen. SO! This week, a fun little grab bag!A Special Listener Letter: Friend of the Program Allen asks an interesting question about cults and capitalism, which we do some blue-skyin' and some spitballin' about.Exercise Cults: Sometimes when you insist that people are Doing It Wrong if they're not paying a whole lot extra for the specific exercise program you're selling, it gets kinda culty! Especially if you're selling Crossfit or Soul Cycle! You fucking weirdo! CONTENT WARNING: This segment contains discussion about disordered eating and exercising, so you might consider skipping it if that stuff is troubling to you.Next Season!!! It's time to learn what kind of madness we'll be getting up to in season 2! OMFG!!!

Arden Myrin, actress and comedian extraordinaire, steps Behind The Rope. She may be an actress and comedian who has starred in some of our favorite TV shows, Orange Is The New Black, Grey’s Anatomy, Hot in Cleveland, 2 Broke Girls, Suburgatory and Teachers, but Arden is a Pop Culture Aficionado who loves Reality TV and Bravo. Boy did she ever come to the right place. Arden and David cover it all: why this season of RHOC was off, why RHOSLC is a blockbuster addition to the franchise, why Mary Cosby, Sonja Morgan and Jen Shah need a good hug, why this season of Below Deck is one of the best in a long time, why some of the classics like The Real World, Laguna Beach, Survivor, The Hills, and The Simple Life are some of the best Reality TV ever made, why The Swan and Love Island are so bad they were/are so good. Speaking of Survivor and Reality TV competition shows, Arden explains why Top Chef is one of her favorites. She also chats about how her and BFF Lance Bass applied for and will most likely be on the Next Season of The Amazing Race, whenever it is safe in the world for that little gem to come back. Say whaaaat? Lance Bass? Of course, once dropping a statement like that, we needed all the details from Arden, what her audition tape with Lance was like and what exactly CBS Producers said when Lance Bass and Arden Myrin applied for a coveted space on the show. #teamrazzledazzle Of course, we also chatted with Arden about her recurring role in Netflix’s Insatiable, all the controversy surrounding the show as well as what it was like to star alongside Queen Alyssa Milano. Last, but certainly not least, we talk Bachelor Nation and all that it entails, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, Bachelor Pad and so very much more. The more includes Arden’s brilliant, hilarious Podcast. “Will You Accept This Rose”!! On The Voice, the top 9 were revealed (last Tuesday) and performed (Monday night), and just like that, the finale is almost here! We're still rooting for John Holiday but there's not a single vocalist in this group that we'd vote against. Next: The finals. On Baby Ballroom, season 2 brought some fresh new adorableness, but we miss the old adorableness. Please come back, Jack and Emily and Arjun and Isobel and Max and Olivia! Next: Season 2, episodes 3 and 4.
Welcome to the Season Finale of Conversations With The Royal Empress, as we welcome back guest Yaa Oyafunmike, Tanita Fadyeyola, Khetnu Nefer and Andrea "Dr. Doula" Little-Mason. Tune in as the ladies discuss Black Womanhood in its vastness. We are touching on colorism, stereotypes, walking in our purpose, defining ourselves for ourselves, and yes Kamala Harris. This episode has a video and we are giving you a semi edited raw version of the show...just to give you a peek into the behind the scenes, the noise, distortions, that jokes and laughter and most importantly the sisterhood! Akilah's Camera was not cooperating so you get to see that too... Tune in and enjoy and we look forward to bringing you new and exciting shows Next Season!
On The Voice, we're jumping in to the season already in progress and trying to figure out what is going on. We know this much: We're rooting for Team Legend's John Holiday (watch his audition [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KM5dJQXxdIY]; it's worth the 5 minutes!), and this show has a better handle on the virtual audience than Dancing With the Stars. Next: Top 17 Results (tonight, 12/1) and Top 9 Perform (Monday, 12/7). On Baby Ballroom, the Zig Zag Dance Factory celebrates the end of season 1 with a nice, low-stakes, non-competitive party for all the kids, featuring lots of eye makeup and buff dudes in tiny shorts. Next: Season 2, episodes 1 and 2.

On Dancing with the Stars, it was a finale-like semi-finals, with contemporary numbers and 10s raining down like confetti. Plus, a shocking elimination: Non-dancer Nelly made it to the finals while figure-skater Johnny Weir did not. Next week: The finale! On Baby Ballroom, season 1 episodes 3 and 4, we learned that little kids will dance their hearts out for a very tiny trophy, and bigger kids will overcome their fears of revealing to their peers that they love to dance. Next: Season 1, episodes 5 and 6.
On Dancing With the Stars, Icons Night brought plenty of eyeliner and quite a few fun dances, along with a farewell to Backstreet Boy AJ McLean. Next: The semi-finals. We're doubling up on dancing for a few weeks with the Netflix series Baby Ballroom, a look at the competitive world of British ballroom dancing. Come for the adorable moppets doing the cha-cha-cha; stay for the delightful British accents from one and all. Next: Season 1, episodes 3 and 4.

On this week's entertainment-themed Round 2, we promised you the second round of World of Dance duels, but it turns out they're airing tonight, July 14, so we'll discuss them next week. Instead, we talked about The Heir Affair, a sequel to The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan of Go Fug Yourself (which we discussed in 2017). The new book is a delightful continuation of the stories and characters we'd so enjoyed in round 1. Recommended! We can't really recommend the episode of Veronica Mars we watched, titled "Green-Eyed Monster" and guest-starring Laura Bell Bundy as a truly annoying client of Mars Investigations. She hired Veronica to investigate her fiance, but he's the one who dodged a bullet. Next: Season 2 episode 5, "Blast from the Past."

Discussion Synopsis Saving Ray Palmer So, we’ve figured out Neron’s endgame, he needs massive amounts of fear to open the gates of hell and reign hell on Earth. Of course Ray Palmer would find a way to win over his torturer, none other than Vandal Savage. The soul tokens--cool idea--they get deposited in a holding vault while you pay whatever price is owed. I loved John and Nora together in the opening moments, they have a great chemistry with the personalities of their characters. Heyworld The return of Brigid’s diary - I love that Mick stole it back! Does this mean the return of Garima when Nate is done with Heyworld? Once again, loved them making fun of themselves with the “trinity” and needing franchise superheroes to make people feel safe. So basically they pulled off a Greatest Showman homage without ever using the music (which I assume would have been costly). When did Nate and Constantine switch? I 100% fell for it, thought they killed Constantine and was a bit confused, then I was REALLY sad when I realized they killed Nate instead! But luckily, in a corny, but acceptable, musical number, they gave Nate closure and brought him back from the dead. James Taylor song: this was way better than Beebo - Fight fear with love - very much like Frozen (Disney film) Fun fact: Dominic and Tala sang their parts of the song live on camera Monitor sighting! Zari’s Timeline Zari’s simulation program has finally found her loophole -- Neron’s rise/escape from hell has forced the Legends to find a way to show humankind how to tolerate metas and magical creatures, leading to an age of tolerance where her family is never persecuted or killed. Behrad takes Zari’s place on the Waverider - Zari’s family is never killed, so instead of her joining the Legends, her brother does. Next Season on Legends of Tomorrow Astra stole 16 coins but right now only 15 episodes are rumored: Stalin - Russian leader that imprisoned over a million of his own people and executed 700,000 of them roughly Caligula - Roman emperor related to Julias Caesar - cruel, sadistic and into sexual perversion Genghis Khan - Mongolian emperor - large scale war campaigns that slaughtered thousands of innocent people Mary Tudor - Mary 1 Queen of England and Ireland - known as Bloody Mary for the mass executions she had carried out to restore Roman Catholicism, also burning 280 religious dissenters at the stake Charles Manson - leader of the Manson family cult that committed 9 murders John Wayne Gacy - serial killer - 33 boys Rasputin - Russian mystical healer, prophet and advisor All the rest were face down except for one partially covered, Lizzie Borden perhaps? - accused of killing her parents with an axe

If you enjoy listening to trainwrecks, then this is the Chaos Radio Show for you. Speaking of trainwrecks, we discussed the teen pregnancy of Miss Jamie Lynn Spears and speculation about the baby daddy. Rockit from the LunaticRadio.com Show joined us after the first break. We spoke to our Israeli correspondent in Philadelphia who to us naughty words in Hebrew. Cringe Humor comedian Josh Goguen called in to the show to say hi and plug his appearance at the Comedy Shoppe with Patrice Oneal. Rockit convinced Rhodian to cross over to the Lunatic side, promising Cheerios and Jack Daniels. Radio war? What radio war? Oh yeah, and we let Cris sneak in a few sports stories: Jim Leyritz’s $600 a night drinking habit, and Isiah Thomas’ promising an NBA championship NEXT SEASON. Cris tried to get a good radio bet going with Rhodian, but Rho had had a little too much of what he was affectionately referring to as “John Daniels” to negotiate anything. Maybe when you can’t pronounce the name of the booze you’re drinkin’…it’s time to slow down.
It's great to see two real Survivor fans in the final three. It certainly seemed like Amanda had a lock on it. Many listeners have been singing her praises from early in the game. You never quite know how the final tribal council will play out though. Sometimes the jury votes out of anger, other times they realize it's a game and reward someone that played well. What did you think about how the final four finished the season? Do you think Todd and Amanda had an unfair advantage given their knowledge of the game? Do you think Denise would have won if she had made it to final three? Do you think the best player won? You've got one more opportunity to share your views on Survivor China. We'll be doing the final Listener Feedback show for this season on Thursday, 12/20. We're looking forward to hearing from you one more time. Oh yeah, we got to go to the Survivor China finale and do interviews on the red carpet! Watch the site here for pictures and videos this week. We've got several ways you can reach us. You can call and leave a voicemail at 206-350-JASS(5277). You can record an audio comment and attach it or just type up a quick text message and send it to us via email at joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Lastly, there's a link for comments on the web page here. You can click that link and post your thoughts out there for everyone to see.
