Egy friss kutatás szerint a cégvezetők hetente akár több mint 60 órát is dolgozhatnak, mert nem tudnak kinevelni vezetőket, akik az ő fejükkel tudnának gondolkodni, és ezzel állandó mókuskerékben találják magukat. Szerencsére van kitől tanulni, az 1. Szabad Cégvezető Konferencián közismert, sikeres vállalkozók mesélnek arról, hogyan tették a nulláról önjáróvá a cégüket. Bár a munkavállalók sokszor hajlamosak azt hinni, hogy a munkaadók egész évben csak lógatják a lábukat, a valóság ennél sokkal drámaibb. Ugyanis egy átlagos cégvezető munkaideje jelentősen meghaladja a hagyományos 40 órás munkahetet. A Harvard Business Review által végzett kutatás szerint egy cégvezető átlagosan 62,5 órát dolgozik hetente, ami tartalmazza a hétköznapi, hétvégi és akár a szabadság alatti munkavégzést is. Nincs ez másként Magyarországon sem. Piroska Gyula, a Seminar Consulting alapítója elmondta, a koronavírus-járvány pozitív hozadéka volt, hogy a cégek elkezdtek tartalékot képezni, és felismerték, hogy bármikor jöhetnek ínségesebb idők. Ugyanakkor az még mindig rendszerszintű probléma, hogy a cégvezetők nem tudják leadni a feladataikat. „A cégvezetők elképesztő módon leterheltek. Ez rendjén is lenne, ha a jövőt építenék, és a fejlesztésekkel foglalkoznának. De a legtöbben a múltban ragadtak, és próbálják utolérni magukat. A visszajelzések alapján a cégvezetők nagy része évek, évtizedek után is a termelésben dolgozik, nem felülről fogja össze a folyamatokat” – magyarázta a szakértő. Rámutatott, általánosságban elmondható, hogy egy cégvezető ma többet dolgozik hazánkban, mint az alkalmazottjai. Náluk nem ér véget a munka délután négykor, ötkor, hanem még otthon is dolgoznak. Meglátása szerint ennek oka az, hogy nem tudnak kinevelni megbízható beosztott vezetőket, akik végeznék helyettük a munkát. Egyrészt erre nincsenek eszközeik, másrészt hiányt szenvednek az ő fejükkel gondolkodni tudó munkatársakból, így állandó kontroll alatt kell tartaniuk a folyamatokat. „Ha a feladatai egy szeletét át is adja a cégvezető, akkor arra két-három másik kollégát jelöl ki, mert úgy ítéli meg, hogy ő ennyivel hatékonyabb. Csakhogy egy nap neki is 24 órából áll, és ha valaki ragaszkodik hozzá, hogy ő csinálja a legjobban és a leggyorsabban a feladatait, akkor örökké a rabszolgája marad a vállalkozásának. Mindig szem előtt kell tartani, hogy a cég van értem, és nem én vagyok a cégért” – fogalmazott. Cégvezetők, akik már megváltoztatták a világot Piroska Gyula – akinek képzésein több mint 35 ezren vettek részt az elmúlt három évtizedben a cégtulajdonlás, a cégvezetés, az üzleti etika és a menedzsment technológia témaköreiben – hangsúlyozta, nem lehetetlen ugyanakkor a jobb munkaszervezés a cégvezetők számára, és erre számos jó hazai példát is találni. November 20-án a fővárosi Park Inn by Radisson Budapest Hotelben az 1. Szabad Cégvezető Konferencián mutatja meg a gyorsítósávot az önjáró cég felé Hovány Márton. In 1986, a group of Northeast Ohio jazz fans led by Jean and Paul Huling formed a club called EARLYJAS (The Earlville Association of Ragtime Lovers Yearning for Jazz Advancement and Socialization). For well over 20 years, EARLYJAS presented a very successful and popular Fall Dixieland Jazz Festival in Strongsville, Ohio. Unfortunately, due to a lack of volunteers and the potential for major financial losses, their Board of Trustees voted to discontinue the Fall Festival after 2011. EARLYJAS accomplished a great deal in the cause of presenting traditional Dixieland jazz over the previous 25 years, and made considerable contributions to the Summit County Kidney Foundation. Today the club is financially stronger than ever, and they continue to host monthly meetings, concerts, and jam sessions. But after 25 years, they decided to no longer produce the Strongsville festival. Learning of this decision, “Ragtime Rick” Grafing, piano player with the Cakewalkin’ Jass Band and leader of The Chefs of Dixieland, agreed to produce a new festival to replace the one in Strongsville, to be held in Toledo. It is known as the GRUGELFEST, a tribute and memorial to EARLYJAS member Ralph Grugel, leader of the Eagle Jazz Band, who died in 2005. Ralph Grugel was a major force in Cleveland’s Dixieland Jazz community. GRUGELFEST features 5 great bands over 3 days in 2 venues for each session, plus additional performances by world-class piano players, small groups, and jam sessions. From 2012 to 2016 it was held at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel in downtown Toledo; in 2017 the festival moved to the Holiday Inn French Quarter in Perrysburg. Special room rates are offered for the weekend.
