Unlock the secrets to making your family road trips more comfortable and efficient with our latest episode, where we take the 2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid SX Prestige for a spin and reveal everything you need to know. Promising the perfect blend of style and practicality, the Carnival breaks free from the "minivan" stereotype, offering a luxurious yet family-friendly experience with its upgraded leather seating, advanced communication features, and a smart power liftgate. We compare it to rivals like the Toyota Sienna Hybrid and Honda Odyssey Hybrid, giving you a comprehensive guide to making an informed choice for your family's needs.Thinking about hydrogen power?   Jeff takes a look ...  Hydrogen-powered cars use fuel cells to generate electricity, emitting only water vapor. They offer quick refueling, long ranges, and zero emissions. Challenges include limited refueling infrastructure and hydrogen production costs. Automakers are investing in hydrogen technology, especially for heavy-duty vehicles, as a sustainable alternative to traditional gasoline and diesel cars. Switching gears, we get behind the wheel of the 2025 GMC Sierra EV, a trailblazer in the electric truck landscape. With its robust 760 horsepower and impressive towing capacity, this vehicle is poised to redefine your expectations of power and innovation. Our firsthand experience highlights the Sierra's unmatched performance, though we couldn't help but wish for an air ride option. We stack it up against formidable competitors such as the Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T, providing you with insights into its standout features and why it might just be the electric truck you've been waiting for. Shoot us a Text.Welcome to the first week of February, and welcome to guest host Steve Greenfield of Automotive Ventures. Today, we're discussing all the ramifications that President Trump's latest round of tariffs will have on the automotive industry. Plus, we cover Tesla's plans to move more Cybertrucks and why the cost of Super Bowl ads is rising.A fresh round of tariffs signed by President Trump is sending shockwaves through the North American auto industry. With 25% duties on vehicles and parts from Canada and Mexico, and a 10% levy on Chinese imports, automakers and suppliers are bracing for rising costs, potential production shutdowns, and fierce retaliation from trade partners. The tariffs are set to go into effect on February 4, and Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum have pledged retaliation, which could further escalate trade tensions.Prices of vehicles could increase by thousands, like the Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, and Ram 1500 (built in Mexico), the Toyota RAV4 and Tacoma (built in Canada/Mexico) and the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Bronco Sport, and Maverick (built in Mexico)John Bozzella, President for the Alliance for Automotive Innovation: “We support efforts to strengthen the U.S. auto industry, but across-the-board tariffs on Canada and Mexico will only increase costs, disrupt supply chains, and put jobs at risk. We want to work on solutions that achieve the president's goals and preserve a healthy, competitive auto industry in America.”Tesla's Cybertruck sales are falling flat, forcing the company to roll out heavy incentives—including free $6,000 wraps and new leasing options. With demand far below expectations, questions are mounting about whether the Cybertruck is turning into Tesla's first major flop.Tesla launched Cybertruck leases in the U.S., starting at $750/month, a move typically reserved for vehicles with slowing demand.Buyers of Foundation Series Cybertrucks now get a free wrap worth $6,000 as Tesla struggles to clear inventory.Sales have been underwhelming—despite 1M+ reservations, Tesla has sold fewer than 40,000 units, with some analysts estimating that number may drop to 30K in 2025, far below its planned 250K annual capacity. With Super Bowl LIX just around the corner, advertisers are shelling out a record $8 million per 30-second spot. Some big names are sitting this one out—including most automakers—while AI, snacks, and tech brands dominate the lineup. At least 10 commercials have sold for $8M each, up $500K from last year—the biggest price hike in recent Super Bowl history.120M+ viewers expected on Fox and Tubi, making it the biggest stage for advertisers.Traditional big players like Anheuser-Busch, PepsiCo, Frito-Lay, Taco Bell, and Uber Eats are all in, but the only OEMs to appear will be Stellantis' Jeep and RamAI-focused ads and pharmaceutical brands are on the rise, while movie trailers and streaming services areHosts: Paul J Daly and Kyle MountsierGet the Daily Push Back email at https://www.asotu.com/ JOIN the conversation on LinkedIn at: https://www.linkedin.com/company/asotu/ Read our most recent email at: https://www.asotu.com/media/push-back-email

With a powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine delivering 420 horsepower and the capacity to tow up to 8,900 pounds, you'll understand why this truck is a beast on the road. We also touch on practical aspects like the Denali adaptive suspension for a smooth ride and the fuel efficiency that defies its hefty curb weight. Whether you're curious about the truck's versatility or intrigued by the price tags ranging from a base model at $45,995 to the ultimate version tested at $86,805, this episode offers insights that make the Sierra Denali Ultimate more than just a vehicle—it's a lifestyle statement.Be sure to subscribe for more In Wheel Time Car Talk! The Original Lupe' Tortilla RestaurantsLupe Tortilla in Katy, Texas Gulf Coast Auto ShieldPaint protection, tint, and more!ProAm Auto AccessoriesProAm Auto Accessories: "THE" place to go to find exclusive and hard to find parts and accessories!Disclaimer: This post contains affiliate links. There's plenty of truck talk this week on the Unnamed Automotive Podcast, along with an important story about racing. But first the show starts with Benjamin's review of the 2024 GMC 2500 HD AT4X, which boasts plenty of hauling, towing and off-roading capabilities that all seem to be at odds with one another. Our host tested the truck out, towing his car to the track, but found that the off-road oriented design definitely impacted its usability as a truck. That's just one aspect of this weeks review, but wait till you hear about it's engine - and how Benjamin found an easy work-around when it came to trailer parking. Then we get an update about Benjamin's experience at Watkins Glen International Racetrack, and how he handled the fast and exciting track in his Datsun, and his Dad's Mustang! Thanks for listening!

From the BG Ad Group Studio this is your news minute on the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast presented by Credit Union of Georgia. Today is Wednesday, July 17th, and I'm Keith Ippolito. One Killed in Multi-Car Collision in Austell Tragedy struck in Austell on Tuesday afternoon after a multi-car collision left one person dead. The incident occurred on Hicks Road, near Cobb Fire Department's Station 7. At around 3:30 p.m., a white GMC Sierra veered across the center line, colliding with a black GMC Yukon and causing it to flip onto its side. The Sierra continued its path of destruction, crashing into a silver Ford Escape and pushing it into a guardrail over a creek, before finally hitting a grey Hyundai Sonata. The driver of the Ford Escape sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The names of those involved are yet to be released as authorities work to notify next of kin. The driver of the Sierra and the Sonata were hospitalized with visible injuries, while the Yukon driver escaped unharmed. Welcome to todays Classic Car Doctor episode! Ron finishes a call from the previous episode about a Ford Taurus with a miss fire fault. The ignition system came 2 ways this year, 2001. A coil on plug stand along version and a coil on plug with ignition wires. It matters not because Ron helps us understand the proper method to test ignition coils and systems using some basic, affordable test equipment.  Next up is a call from NYC regarding a 2005 Honda Civic with a rattling front suspension noise. The chain store that replaced front struts in the vehicle says its not their part and the Honda dealer says it is. The vehicle owner is stuck in the middle and he turns to Ron for the answer. A tough spot for sure but The Car Doctor has the answers and ideas to help.  Lansing Michigan is calling in next; Tim has a low level vibration noise in his ES300 Lexus that no one seems to be able to repair. But Ron has some answers and they are simple solutions. Tune in to find out! Last today; well, its an Obi-Wan Kanobi moment. "Help me Car Doctor, you're my only hope" from a caller with a 2006 GMC Sierra that won't start in high humidity conditions. Parts have been replaced but testing has not been done to any great degree. Listen in as Ron springs into action to offer several solutions and possibilities for all to learn from. In light of the upcoming "The Fall Guy" movie releasing on May 3, 2024 we decided to do a deep dive on the original TV series and  a preview of the new movie. Even better, we were joined by our own Nathan Warren of Warren Customs as the guest co-host. We don't know anyone that loves Fall Guy trucks (and the TV series) more than Nathan. He even once stated that "it's like the Dukes of Hazzard, only better." The Movie: Our spies in Australia have already seen the movie and sure us that its good, and Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt's promotions have been fantastic to watch! An original (replica) style Fall Guy truck appears in the movie, but the "new" GMC Sierra 1500 appears as the modern day equivalent. It looks to be an entertaining movie, and FINALLY one that will highlight the stunt performers that have always been hidden in the shadows in any Hollywood production. Stuntman Logan Holladay performed an 8.5 barrel-roll stunt for the movie that set a world record in doing it! Even better, Ryan Gosling and SNL's Mikey Day promoted the movie by dressing up as Beavis and Butthead and standing in front of the 2024 Fall Guy Truck. Classic Fall Guy Episode Review:  Season 3 - Episode 3 “Trauma” Written by Lou Shaw, and Michael Halperin Directed by Ted Lange Created by Glen A Larson Airdate: 9/28/1983 Fall Guy Show Summary: Colt Seavers (Lee Majors) hunts down a bad guy who has stolen a town's treasurers and hides the bad guy from the screaming townsfolk in the secret stash compartment of the truck. Unbeknownst to Colt (but knownst to us) the bad guy hides the key to the town's treasurers in the trucks' afore mentioned secret compartment.  That way when he got away later….he could just shoot the driver of the truck (Colt) and get his key back. Easy Peasy. Unfortunately, Colt's nephew Howie (Douglas Barr) was driving the truck on two wheels with the shows' blonde Daisy Duke equivalent (Jody, played by Heather Thomas). She survived but the nephew was nearly killed, leaving Colt and Heather Thomas right the wrongs.  Hijinks ensue, the catch the bad guy, we see one of the train derailed Knight Rider cars painted white, two more stunt trucks, and lots a jumps. Pretty tidy episode. 9 Nathan Warren Sasquatches. ======================================== See you soon. Join up via Patreon at patreon.com/KFSHOW Kibbe, Corndog, and the Bern! All of us have things that we associate with the people that we love: a smell of perfume they wear; a taste of something they might cook; a personal possession which they once gave us, or which once belonged to them. When it comes to her brother, Marshal, what pops into Paige Fogen's head is his truck. Marshall drove a dark blue, 2009, GMC SIERRA pickup. It was his pride and joy. Marshall and Paige had driven thousands of miles together in it over the years. The siblings had gone through a lot, and the truck represented their journey together, both physical and emotional. So when the truck was found abandoned and burned out, by a group of hikers in a remote wooded area near Pemberton, Canada, Paige's reaction was visceral. What was the truck doing there in the first place? And most importantly, where was its owner: her brother? That's a question Paige has been trying to answer, for over four years now. In this stimulating episode of The Jeffers Notes, John Jeffers discusses the state of modern protest activism and shares personal anecdotes of navigating the world of diesel mechanics. Drawing from current affairs and personal experiences, Jeffers critiques the often ineffective activist cultures and their diminishing impact on society. He further outlines the challenges and savoir-faire surrounding the repair and maintenance of his diesel GMC Sierra 3500. The episode transitions from societal observations to personal experiences, painting a vivid picture of the skilled labor sector, with a focus on the impending retirement of older workers and the need for younger ones to step into the workforce. Conversations around an auto shop owner and a pizza chain part-owner highlight the current dynamics and struggles in the labor market. As the discussions progress, Jeffers delves into the potential economic impacts of wage increases. While employers may often be willing to adjust, they can find themselves in a challenging situation when the costs of goods and services rise and customers are unwilling to shell out extra. Protest and its impact on businesses form another central theme in the episode. Jeffers presents business owners' perspectives on often faceless protests coordinated via social media and the potential consequences on their businesses. He then discusses if the varied demands made by such activists are indeed attainable. The episode ends by tackling the current health crisis, shedding light on the legal implications of refusing to wear a mask during the pandemic, in the context of New Jersey's stance on the issue. John Jeffers' unique blend of personal experiences and societal observations make this episode a worthwhile listen. Tune in to The Jeffers Notes for a thoughtful and engaging exploration of activism, skilled labor, and Covid-19 regulations.

Born in Kentucky and raised in Wake Forest, NC, Blake Wood draws from personal experiences to shape the songs he writes and sings. A true reflection of everything small town and middle-America with songs such as ‘Know You By Your Truck' which tells the literal story of knowing who's around town on any given night just by which pickup trucks you spot. If you attended a house party or bonfire around Wake Forest a few years ago, there's a good chance you might have seen Blake pulling out the guitar to entertain his friends. He started playing when he was 14 or 15 and doesn't go anywhere without it now. He drew inspiration for performing music from his idols in the 80's and 90's country genre. A traditionalist at heart, Blake perfectly combines the sound of today and the storytelling and emotion of yesterday in his songs. Music wasn't an accident for Blake, it's part of his DNA. He has been around it since he was young. Born into a highly musical family that includes 3 older brothers, his mom Lori, and dad Steven, Blake cut his teeth writing, singing, and recording; long before Nashville would notice. Blake graduated high school and followed pace with most of the other kids his age by enrolling in college at Wake Tech for business marketing. It took exactly 1 class for Blake to realize that wasn't the future for him. Part of that draw came from visiting his older brother Jon who had already moved from North Carolina to Nashville to write and record music. Seeing Jon's path and learning how Nashville could expand the music opportunities for himself, Blake followed his heart and moved. As a songwriter, Blake writes what he lives. Some writers and singers must pretend to know about certain lifestyles to pull them off well. Blake can draw on what he knows from experience like tearing up backroads and off-roading, wetting a line fishing for large mouth bass, and driving old trucks. Blake still drives his 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 with almost 300,000 miles on it. Following your heart and your passion may not be the quick path, but it's the right path. The people in Nashville have noticed Blake; he signed his first publishing deal as a songwriter in early 2023. That was followed quickly by his first record deal. He's signed to the new Deluge Records Nashville (DRN). Support the show
