Katie Couric is back with a new season of Next Question, this time with a new format: Katie + 1! While the good ol' classic Katie Couric interview isn't going anywhere, Season 8 boasts a variety of co-hosts, who bring their own style and new perspective to the conversations. In the season premiere, Katie is joined by Bob Saget's widow, Kelly Rizzo, to interview John Stamos, Saget's “Full House” co-star and close friend, for a conversation that's intimate and poignant while also irreverent and a lot of fun. Future conversations include Katie and Kara Swisher's interview with Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom for a deep dive on the past, present, and figure of social media. In another, Katie and author Kelly Corrigan are joined by David Brooks to discuss the growing social disconnect in our culture and the surprisingly simple (but not necessarily easy) ways we can bring people closer together. This season is more relaxed, a little more conversational, a little more spontaneous, and quite frankly, a little more fun. So join us for season 8 of Next Question!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In our first Katie Plus One, Katie is bringing in backup: Kelly Rizzo, the host of the Comfort Food podcast and the widow of Bob Saget. This season is all about FUN and great conversations! Enjoy!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In this episode of 92NY Talks, we go back to 2014 for a discussion between comedians Bob Saget and John Oliver. Saget, best known for Full House and America's Funniest Home Videos, was also an out-of-his-mind, standup comic for over thirty years. They discuss his then new book, Dirty Daddy: The Chronicles of a Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian, telling uproarious, totally uncensored stories from a life in entertainment. At one point, Saget tells the crowd "this is almost like being in High Holiday services" before leading them in a Torah blessing. Fitting for this time of year. The conversation was recorded on April 8, 2014 in front of a live audience at The 92nd Street Y, New York.

He died on the bed with his right arm across his chest and left arm on the bed. Wait. That's not right! Police say he died on the bathroom as a result of hitting his head on the bathroom floor. One problem, bathroom was bone dry, not a drop of water on the floor. How did he slip and what did he slip on? How was it that his head was so badly damaged in multiple places if all that happened was he slipped on the bathroom floor? Saget was on a comedy tour in Florida, with his first show of 2022 at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, and had performed in Ponte Vedra Beach near Jacksonville the day before, according to his Instagram page. In his final Instagram post, Saget shared a photo of himself on stage with the caption, "I'm back in comedy like I was when I was 26. I guess I'm finding my new voice and loving every moment of it." Citing authorities, Saget "accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep," the statement read. It also noted that "no drugs or alcohol were involved." A fracture was found at the base of Saget's skull with evidence of bleeding around the brain, according to the medical examiner. The medical examiner suggested that Saget may have fallen and hit something hard, following by something soft, such as a carpeted floor. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORLANDO, Fla. — Fractures around Bob Saget's eye sockets and bleeding around his brain were possibly caused by the comedian hitting "something hard, covered by something soft," such as a carpeted floor, according to a report released Tuesday that provides more details of the TV's star's death. In the incident report released by the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, a detective notes that Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany said the fractures "would have stunned Mr. Saget," and that he would have experienced dizziness. Had he been with people at the time, they would have noticed "confusion, balance, and/or slurred speech," the report states. It does not pinpoint a location for Saget's fall, but Stephany told the detective it would have been impossible with that type of injury for Saget to make a two-hour drive from the Jacksonville area to Orlando as he did the night before his body was discovered.
On January 9, 2022, Bob Saget was found dead in a Florida hotel. The evening before, the "Full House" star performed a stand-up routine at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Fans and friends of Saget were shocked by the actor's sudden death, as the comedian was not suffering from any medical ailments. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Saluton, estas mi Tyson Saner and I will be you host for this, I don't know that there is a better way to put this, "Very Special Episode" of Succotash, The Comedy Soundcast Soundcast that numbers #302. Before I get into what I mean I'd like to take a moment to remind you that Succotash celebrated 11 years of showcasing other soundcasters via clips of their efforts. That coincided with our 300th episode, which executive producer and show creator Marc Hershon and I co-hosted simultaneously - which might sound like an odd way to put it, but it shouldn't be odd to regular listeners who know that Mr. Hershon and I have been hosting weekly episodes more-or-less every-other-episode for the last 2 years, and it is really only on special occasions that we might both be bringing you the same episode, at the same time. There's a great recap of Epi300 IN Epi301 in which Marc brought you a quartet of clips from the soundcasts Aristotle Full Throttle, Brilliant Observations, The Jann Arden Podcast, and TheKnuckleheadsPodcast. That episode can still be found over at SuccotashShow.com and wherever soundcasts can be streamed and/or downloaded…except Spotify for the time being and the foreseeable future. Now, if you wouldn't mind my attempting to explain what I mean by this being a "Very Special Episode" I will begin that now. This is a memorial episode. We have lost a great many comedians in the last year or so. I have chosen to feature three of the recently departed, and I based my selection process on my personal preference for starters, but mostly on the fact that there's a pretty remarkable photograph that Gilbert Gottfried, who passed away after "a long illness" on April 12, 2022, posted to his Twitter account. It was of him, Louie Anderson, who succumbed to cancer on January 21st of 2022, and Bob Saget, who died due to head trauma earlier that same January on the 9th.There's an article on the Huffington Post about the photo that you can find here. I was, as many people were, shocked and saddened by the passings of Mr. Anderson and Mr. Saget, but Mr. Gottfried's passing really bummed me the fuck out, and it is still pretty fresh as I write this on the 23rd of April, less than 2 weeks later. When I saw this photograph, along with how understandably eerie it seemed, it inspired me to revisit Mr. Gottfried's podcast which, in turn, inspired me to create this episode that attempts to both celebrate the humor and humanity of these folks, and memorialize them in some fashion. So, in this episode, I've got clips from The Louie Anderson Podcast, Bob Saget's Here For You, and Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast. I will be including a classic "Henderson's Pants" spot about something called PC Jeans because it seems like it could the most appropriate choice of the fake ads for our fake sponsor that I have available to me. I need to point out that I will still be including social media account information after each clip. (Quite a few folks have died with Twitter accounts, many of whom I still follow, and the accounts are usually maintained by people who keep the legacy alive with information about events such as additional materials like unpublished memoirs, final stand-up specials, charities supported, etc.) I will also be providing info to the various charities as I find them. If you know of any additional charities supported by the comedians featured in this episode, feel free to contact the show via the emails which will be mentioned at the end of the program. Ok, let's get to it and cope with our grief together… CLIPS The Louie Anderson Podcast The Louie Anderson Podcast is a conversation with comedians, entertainers and others about their journey. My featured clips comes from the February 13th, 2015 episode in which The Amazing Johnathan talks magic, Letterman, drugs and his current health situation. (If you'd care to, you can go back into the archives of Succotash to find Episode 95, called "Interfacin' with The Amazing Johnathan" from 2014. Johnathan Szeles and Mr. Hershon had worked on a Merv Griffin game show project in the past called Ruckus which you can definitely find clips of on YouTube. One charity I found that was supported by Louie with a search on Look To The Stars was Comic Relief, which you can learn more about by visiting https://www.comicrelief.com/ Bob Saget's Here For You Bob Saget's Here For You is a podcast that is like no other— For one, this podcast has guests who are friends of Bob's, or just really interesting people who many of you know and love. Secondly, this podcast is unique because it goes inside Bob Saget's mind, and then quickly filters out through his mouth. Bob has a way of calming people he has conversations with as well as being entertaining and often informative. Bob talks with his guests with genuine empathy and humor, while reaching his unusually diverse audience that he talks to as a friend, Bob is the dad with great advice, the irreverent funny guy who's always there when you need a laugh, and the free-associative Bob who goes off on crazy tangents then returns to the subject at hand, as serious or as comedic as it may be, to wrap up each episode in a way only Bob can do. Because he really does believe, “He's here for you." Our clip is from the last episode to post, on Jan 31, 2022, appropriately titled "Final Episode: Dane Cook" Comedian, actor, and long-time friend Dane Cook joins the podcast for its final episode. Dane shares his journey to the stage, opening up about his battle with social anxiety as a child and how his parents' personalities influenced his acts. Bob and Dane tackle a share of serious subjects, including their memories of the late Robin Williams and Louis Anderson, how pain can develop into great comedy, and Dane's experience having to put his older half-brother in jail. (With a foreword from Bill Burr that was included in the episode posted previous to this with Margaret Cho). Bob Saget had also been a Board Member of the Sceleroderma Research Foundation since 2003.You can find more information about it at www.srfcure.org Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast Comedian and actor Gilbert Gottfried, a man Stephen King once called “a national treasure,” talks with the show business legends, icons and behind-the-scenes talents who shaped his childhood and influenced his comedy. Along with co-host and fellow pop culture fanatic Frank Santopadre, Gilbert is joined by comics, actors, musicians, talk show hosts, writers and other eyewitnesses to Hollywood history, including Bruce Dern, Chevy Chase, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Adam West, Steve Buscemi, Micky Dolenz, Jim Gaffigan, Judd Apatow and DOZENS more, for a funny, frenetic, fly-on-the-wall look at showbiz then and now (but mostly then.) I snipped this clip from the show that posted April 11th, 2022 - Bob Costas Encore. The GGACP ushers in the start of the 2022 baseball season with this encore of a 2015 interview with Emmy-winning sportscaster, journalist and Baseball Hall of Famer Bob Costas, recorded at the New York Friars Club. Also in this episode: Bob analyzes “Top Cat," imitates Howard Cosell, “interviews” Jack Palance and recites Babe Ruth's farewell speech. PLUS: "The Million Dollar Movie"! Crazy Guggenheim returns! Rod Steiger emotes! Shirley MacLaine clams up! Gilbert sings the theme from “Underdog”! And the boys praise the under-appreciated genius of Bud Abbott! In Honor/Memory of Gilbert Gottfried who passed "Too Soon" of Myotonic Dystrophy Type Two: Please consider a donation to the research of this debilitating disease. Donate here: http://giveto.urmc.edu/DM2Research By show's end I do hope that you find something to enjoy. There are so many soundcasts out there, and none of us could possibly listen to them all. I wonder what the percentage is of comedians that have podcasts? I imagine it is a large percentage. Personally, comedians and musicians are among my favorite classes of people. Aside from loved ones or people that I know well in my actual life, comedians and musicians seem to leave the biggest gaps in the world when they leave us behind. Thankfully, they have a body of work that we can revisit if we were to desire to do so. We can laugh and sing with them until we literally cannot laugh and/or sing anymore for one reason or another, including our own deaths. Most importantly, if you love people or otherwise hold them in high regard, don't miss an opportunity to express the way you feel about them to them. You never know when it will be too late. I don't really have anything new to add as far as those sorts of sentiments go. I just keep on keepin' on because that's what we do. We carry on because we must. So, tune in next week for Marc Hershon's episode 303 and I will hopefully talk at you in two weeks for Epi304. Until then, be decent to each other, try to stay safe, and if someone asks you if you have heard anything worth listening to lately and we come to mind, don't forget to pass the Succotash… — Tyson Saner

What a crazy moment in time. We talk about bitterness. I re-tell a fact about a famous dish sponge that's bothered me for a while now. Fossil fuels & the grand point. We look at some footage from Mr. Saget's hotel room. Well that's what we signed up for anyway. We talk about the fact that people will upload any amount of their own personal information to the internet for absolutely no reason. We look at a clip from one of the first people to allegedly walk on the moon. You shouldn't need to be reminded by the internet that you should drink water. We look at an old grainy clip of a guys arm possibly stretching to inhuman lengths. We revisit the green M&M and become erect. I had my account locked & got a photo removed. Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson (Ket Brown), Biden's SCOTUS nominee, can't provide a definition for the a woman because she's "not a biologist." She was further drilled about her lenient sentencing of pedophiles throughout her career, but her excuse doesn't quite make sense! New pictures have emerged showing a PADDED headboard and carpeted floor in Bob Saget's hotel room, where investigators suggested that he "fell and fatally banged his head." However, some experts likened Saget's head injuries to someone falling from 30 feet or being struck around the head with a baseball bat. Due to the extent of Saget's injuries, it is highly likely that the investigator report is incorrect. Former co-host of Bannon's War Room, Jack Maxey, has been investigating a copy of Hunter Biden's laptop since January 2021. Since the New York Times legitimized the laptop, Maxey has revealed new evidence connecting the prosecutor Joe Biden had fired, Burisma, and Metabiota. DO NOT MISS THIS! Teacher accused of injecting teen with COVID-19 vaccine arrested New York police arrested a Long Island teacher accused of forcefully injecting a student with a COVID-19 vaccine on New Year's Eve. Laura Russo, 54, was arrested last Friday at her home, Nassau County police said in a statement on Monday. She is charged with the unauthorized practice of a profession. According to the police report, Russo, who is not a registered medical professional, injected the vaccine into a 17-year-old male at her residence when she was not authorized by the parent of the teenager to administer it. The youth went home and told his mother he was vaccinated. The mother then notified police. Russo's son is friends with the teenager, and when the two were at Russo's home, the teenager reported that his mother didn't want him to get vaccinated just yet, so Russo gave it to him. Arbery Killers Get Life in Prison; No Parole For Father, Son Three white men convicted of murder for chasing and killing Ahmaud Arbery were sentenced to life in prison Friday, with a judge denying any chance of parole for the father and son who armed themselves and initiated the deadly pursuit of the 25-year-old Black man. Superior Court Judge Timothy Walmsley said Arbery left his home for a jog and ended up running for his life for five minutes as the men chased him until they finally cornered him. The judge paused for a minute of silence to help drive home a sense of what that time must have felt like for Arbery, whose killing became part of a larger national reckoning on racial injustice. Greg and Travis McMichael grabbed guns and jumped in a pickup truck to chase Arbery after spotting him running in their neighborhood outside the port city of Brunswick on Feb. 23, 2020. Their neighbor, William “Roddie” Bryan joined the pursuit in his own truck and recorded cellphone video of Travis McMichael firing close-range shotgun blasts into Arbery. Welcome to the dirtiest episode in the history of The Godfathers of Podcasting! This week, Donnie, Tid and Dan-e-o open the show by paying tribute to actor and comedian, Bob Saget. They then check in with Tid's on his health as he battles COVID-19. The boys chime in on the clearly disproven report that smoking weed can help you to avoid getting the virus. The finale of “Dexter: New Blood”, the new “Peacemaker” show starring John Cena and Logan Paul's run in with a fraudulent Pokémon cards seller round out the topics discussed. The Godfathers are then joined by reality TV star, podcaster and social media influencer, Elena Davies. Things get a little messy! She discusses her interesting Only Fans page which shows only fans, gives blowjob tips, talks about her time on “Big Brother” and offers her opinion on fellow BB star, Christmas Abbott.Don't miss this week's show!
Welcome back Juice family! There is A TON to breakdown in this week's fully loaded episode. First off we want to say RIP to comedian and actor Bob Saget who passed away unexpectedly a day before this was recorded this episode, we performed a little number to express our condolences (ft. sound drops from WTF with Marc Maron and his words on the matter). We also discuss breaking news for all southern trash people who have what is known as a "Carolina Squat" lift kit on their trucks. It's a modification that points the bow of the vehicle up towards the sky, similar to how a boat looks when it's accelerating (or the Titanic when it was sinking), but it may not be around for too much longer thankfully. We also react to the 2022 Grammy Song of The Year nominations and discuss how that ceremony has changed over time. And of course, lest we forget, we discuss the alleged rumors here-forth known as "Drake's Tabasco Fiasco". Thanks as always for listening Juiceers, we'll see you next week!

Well, hey, everybody. My name is Mallory Durrick. And welcome to the 22nd episode of Don't lose your balance. I have taken a break from recording, I had recorded many of the episodes that everybody has heard up to this point. In October, I think that was the last time I had recorded an episode. And I, I have to be honest, I really didn't know where I was going to go with all of this, I have a bunch of different topics in, you know, in the queue of what I wanted to talk about. But I I don't know what is really super relevant. I feel like I've made incredible progress with how I wanted this podcast to go and where I wanted to be with it, as well as how I would ultimately feel. And I can say that the original goal of creating this podcast was to help me feel better, and to recognize and acknowledge all of the things that I had been through and how was it impacting my present? And was I going to carry it into my future? The answer was no, I wasn't going to do that I was going to face whatever conflicts I had within myself and just say, you know, Mallory, yeah, you're a human being. And these are the, these are the things that happen. And you can acknowledge them, embrace them, and change some of if not many of the qualities that you don't like about yourself and then continue to go forward in life. And, and isn't that what this is all about? For all of us? This is about living, right? Well, today is Monday, and today is January 10, of 2022. We're two years into a pandemic. And it's not necessarily getting any better and a lot of people are facing for the first time, what we all know is to be the inevitable for every single one of us, which is death. And that is what I want to talk about today. And I don't want to turn it into some kind of sad and, and gruesome conversation, but embrace it for the reality that it is for all of us, we are all going to die. And for many of you who don't know me, I am. My maiden name is Saget. And Bob Saget was my first cousin. And he died yesterday, and he died very suddenly.
This week on A Novel Console, Chris and Karradyne talk about the passing of Bob Saget, a car crashing into the neighbor's building, and a strange sex toy. Karradyne gleans people when she finally reads The Toll, and Chris sends off all the spirits when he plays Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
