I bought a small Catamaran, the legendary Seawind 24, and docked the boat in the Marina Krabi, near where I live. The owner O. helped me a lot and we became good friends. However, I discovered he was involved in corruption and became very wealthy. He has a good connection to the government and their officials.I liked this place, it was close to my home… But there were too many barnacles in the water and so I had to do the antifouling for my catamaran twice a year.I changed the marina and docked my catamaran at a new Marina which was quite far away. One day, I went to my previous Marina. I saw the manager of the new Marina, Chuey, with his cousin, sitting in the Cafe of the Marina. His cousin, a nice lady stood up and embraced me and so did Chuey.O., jealous of the new Marina, saw that…O. was personally serving a bottle of beer to Chuey, even though he had a lot of servants…Chuey took the bottle and lifted the bottle to his mouth…And I yelled: STOPThe top of the bottleneck was broken, and a razor-sharp glass ring was carefully balanced on the bottleneck.Chuey said thank you, and we left immediately the cafe…One hour later, my friend called me and said O. proclaimed that I did a majesty insult… That means 15 years in jail in Thailand where I live. Please leave Krabi and never go again to this Marina… My Video: Episode 39 Criminals as Friends will backfire. https://youtu.be/-a5UDU3rVE0My Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast4/Episode-39-Criminals-as-Friends-will-backfire.mp3

This episode of Across The Margin : The Podcast presents an interview with New York City based musician Mike Horn, who helms the experimental folk project Seawind of Battery. Seawind just released their second album, a mesmerizing work full of gorgeous ambient and drowning soundscapes that is called East Coast Cosmic Dreamscaper. While Seawind of Battery is just a few years young, it is not Mike's first musical project. In 2017, Mike launched his indie folk solo project Goldkey, which released several impressive EP's — Background and escapes. His other musical collaborations include Static Traveler (with Eric Lense) and the psychedelic experimental rock project Sunblinders (with Eric Lense and Jeff Saltzburg). We are also thrilled to feature Jarrod Annis in this episode, a tremendous lap-steel guitar player who became an official Seawind member after he started backing Mike up at live appearances back in late '22. In this episode host Michael Shields, Mike Horn, and Jarrod Annis discuss the evolving sound of Seawind of Battery as they wade into their sophomore release while considering the songwriting process for the songs on the album often derived from live improvisational moments. They discuss Mike and Jarrod's shared influences and life events that have led to the birth of the project's unique, soothing instrumental sound, and so much more. Hosted on Acast. Greetings Dead Freaks!BrokedownPod returns with new music, a great guest, and some good old Grateful Dead. Andy Logan, founder of the Grateful Guitars Foundation and steward of Jerry Garcia's Alligator guitar joins me to discuss the mission of the foundation, the magic within these special instruments, a new benefit album, and the upcoming show to support the foundation. The new album, which benefits Grateful Guitars, is called "Grateful: The Music Plays The Band" and features Oteil Burbridge, Dave Nelson Band, Dark Star Orchestra, Afro Dead and more. It's out now and can be found in physical and streaming outlets via this link. The benefit concert is on August 13 at the Great American Music Hall (an auspicious date to be in that room) and features Melvin Seals, John Kadlecik, Pete Sears, Barry Sless, Dave Hidalgo and a bunch of other great players. Tickets are on sale now and you can learn more at the Grateful Guitars website. Please do check out the mission of the Grateful Guitars foundation and consider offering your support. Also in this episode, I spoke about a few new albums that I'm enjoying. From Elkhorn, I raved about the fuzzed out explorations on their album "Other Worlds", out now from Sunrise Ocean Bender/Feeding Tube/Cardinal Fuzz/Deep Water Acres. I didn't mention that the joint release is a tribute to the founder of SOB, Kevin McFadin who passed last year. I had some interactions with McFadin myself and enjoyed a number of SOB releases. He will certainly be missed. You can grip "Other Worlds" via Sunrise Ocean Bender's Bandcamp Page. You can grip the other Elkhorn release, "The Red Valley" from VHF records; also on Bandcamp. If you're on the hunt for some more new music, take a minute to peruse my Bandcamp collection. This is just stuff that I have picked up on the site over the years and I don't get anything from it other than the satisfaction that I've helped someone find something awesome.Last but far from least, the latest from Seawind of Battery, "East Coast Cosmic Dreamscaper" is available for your own dreamscape accompaniment via Warhen records. Note that the CD has a bonus track not on the LP! Check it out on Bandcamp. You can also grab my latest album, "So Below" from my Bandcamp page: JMHart.bandcamp.com and it you would like a BrokedownPod t-shirt or sticker or other merch in that vein, please head over to my Redbubble virtual merch table. Bill Reichenbach grew up in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Takoma Park, Maryland where he studied trombone with Gene Brusiloff and Robert Isele. After high school, Bill was accepted to the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. There, he studied with the great Emory Remington. While still a student, Bill began his recording career by playing lead trombone on several Chuck Mangione albums, a couple of albums with the Eastman Wind Ensemble (one on bass trombone and another one on euphonium), and the first recording of Leonard Bernstein's “Mass” (on bass trombone) which was composed for the opening of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. After graduation, Bill toured for while with the Buddy Rich Big Band on bass trombone. During this time, the band recorded an album called “Stick It” which featured Bill on an arrangement of Jobim's “Wave”. In 1975, Bill moved to L.A. where he started playing the jazz tenor trombone chair on Toshiko Akiyoshi's big band. He made quite a few albums with the band over the next several years and was a featured soloist on all of them. Billy and Sierra Swezey are better known to their online fans as the couple behind Tula's Endless Summer. The two met at a surf shop in Florida when Billy sailed in on his small boat. Not too long afterwards both of them were living on the boat, with their dog Jetty, cruising the waters of Florida and beyond. Since then they've had a series of fixer up boats - and a camper - that they've gotten on the cheap and turned into seaworthy homes allowing them to explore further and further. Currently they're fixing up a DeFever motor yacht in Napa while waiting for their new Seawind catamaran to be constructed and delivered. They film their boat work and travels, sharing it on YouTube with over 150,000 subscribers. Their able to support themselves and their travel with the revenue that creates.

¿No habías nacido? ¿Dónde estabas el año que mataron a John Lennon? ¿Qué estabas haciendo en 1980? ¿Qué música escuchabas, a qué conciertos fuiste? We sailed the Seawind 1260 in Seattle and only found two deal breakers.
There are only a handful of artists that you can say have elevated the role of the trumpet into the public spotlight. Pops, Miles, Dizzy, and my special guest for this episode, Jerry Hey. Trumpet players around the world have been inspired by his brilliant playing and arranging. Non-musicians may not know his name, but they can probably whistle his memorable licks. Since the 1970's Jerry has been a mainstay in the LA studio scene. He has worked on countless projects as a player, arranger, and conductor. From his early days with Seawind to his chart-topping work with Quincy Jones, David Foster, and Maurice White, Jerry and his band of brothers set the new standard for studio excellence. A six-time Grammy Award winner, Jerry has become the gold (and multi-platinum) standard for horn sections worldwide. In this episode, you can hear Jerry talk about the importance of being prepared and being a decent person, how his sections are like family, what it takes to be a part of a Jerry Hey horn section, working with his son, old school vs Pro-Tools, playing with intensity in the studio, the importance of having core to your sound, life lessons from Mr. Adam, more life lessons from Quincy Jones, the joys of wine, surviving cancer, which was the greatest Lakers team of all time, Wild Women of Wongo, and so much more. So pull up a chair, pour yourself a big glass (of wine), and let the hang begin! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/thetrumpetgurus/support

Water aircraft captain Tony Irwin gives us insights into the world of marine aircraft, both past and present. After giving a brief history of water flying he explores the aircraft he has experienced through his long career, discusses his work developing the Seawind water plane, highlights the challenges faced by those designing and flying water planes and how they have been overcome, whilst telling anecdotes along the way. Capt. Tony Irwin addressed a meeting of the Royal Aeronautical Society’s General Aviation Group on 8 May 2012 and the podcast was edited by Mike Stanberry FRAeS.

Click here to leave us an iTunes review and subscribe to the show! We may read yours on the air! Success Story of the Week: Tommy runs a brand called The Cruise Dudes, and these are two of our original members from one of our original Flip Your Life groups back when it was just in beta. The Cruise Dudes guys showed up. We met them, we've built a great relationship with them over the years, and watching them grown their brand. They decided that they were going to release a digital magazine called Seawind, which is celebrating the cruising lifestyle, basically, and they just review cruises and do stuff like that. They just launched last week, and they came into the success forum to share this subject line, "75 Sales in 48 Hours." Tommy says, "Our digital magazine app, Seawind, launched Sunday afternoon on both the Apple store and Google Play Store. This morning, I reviewed the reports, and we've had 75 sales between the two platforms. Most of the purchases were from North America, but we were getting purchases from Europe and Asia, too. Over the next two weeks, I have interviews on a few travel podcasts and vlogs to promote the digital magazine. To say we are excited is putting it mildly. We are ecstatic." Seventy-five sales in 48 hours, that is absolutely incredible for any kind of launch, and we just couldn't be more proud of those guys for sticking with it, keep on going, and keep it grinding and keep trying to find what they can sell. That is why a lot of people don't succeed. They will try one thing, it didn't work the first time; "Well, it wasn't a miracle, I didn't win the lottery. I didn't hit the homerun, so I'm done." A lot of people in our community, what's so awesome about the Flip Your Life community, is they just keep swinging and hitting and swinging and hitting until they make themselves hit that home run. These guys have really hit a homerun; I think this is going to really take off for them. Good job, guys, we are extremely proud of you and it's just awesome to see what you've accomplished with your online business. We would love to help you write the success story for your online business. At the end of today's show,
