Today is ostensibly a conversation about bucket lists, but it is a much deeper, thought-provoking conversation about actually living life, rather than deferring it until you retire, which many people do.  Travis, like myself, started out in the fitness industry many years ago, but has evolved into personal development apace and helping people live their best lives. We discuss Travis' own journey, which started out as a successful Fitness Industry entrepreneur, and the driver to re-invent himself and start living his best life. We then go into the idea of a bucket list and a reverse bucket list, and how to put some structure around those things. General Lee's Iconic First JumpOn November 11th, 1978, during the filming of One-Armed Bandits, a stuntman launched the iconic General Lee off a makeshift dirt ramp and over a police car on the Georgia set of The Dukes of Hazzard, TV history was made. This 16-foot-high and 82-foot-long leap resulted in a totaled car but secured its place in every episode's opening credits. As countless stunts unfolded on screen, nearly every car met its demise, prompting prop masters to scour the country for every 1969 Dodge Charger they could find. Outfitted with roll cages, nose-mounted push bars, and upgraded suspensions, these cars braced themselves for inevitable landings. Brakes were tampered with to perfect the 180-degree bootlegger's turn, while concrete or lead-filled trunks prevented mid-air flips.Despite these reinforcements, landing those jumps must have been a jarring experience for the stunt drivers – let alone Bo, Luke, Daisy, or dear old Uncle Jesse. This orange Charger – adorned with "01" on its doors, a Confederate flag on its roof, and a horn that played Dixie's first twelve notes – belonged to Bo and Luke Duke themselves. With it, they evaded corrupt County Commissioner Boss Hogg in thrilling chases and narrow escapes. While on air, the General Lee received 35,000 fan letters monthly. Enthusiasts purchased millions of toys and remote-controlled replicas of the car, with some even modifying their own vehicles to resemble the Duke's Charger. In 2006, Travis Bell rescued "Lee 1," the original General Lee from that jump, from an Atlanta-area junkyard where it had sat for 23 years. The car underwent a full restoration before selling to golfer Bubba Watson at a Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson auction in 2012. The taxable value of the land at The Battery rose from $5 million in 2014 to $736 million in 2022, and it produced $26.5 million in sales tax revenue in 2022. The project, which is expected to cost $7.8 million, includes a multi-use trail between 10 and 12 feet wide and repairs to a bridge over Atlanta Road, and is expected to begin this summer and take two years to complete. The county will also build a trail between Plant Atkinson and the existing Silver Comet Trail in a separate project. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound receiver, who is expected to graduate this week, will have two years of eligibility remaining. Blaylock was a five-star recruit and had a promising start to his career at Georgia, but a torn ACL likely changed the course of his career. He played in only two games in 2021 but showed improvement, catching 15 passes for 227 yards and a touchdown. Golf – Judge seems skeptical of Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend’s claims A Florida judge appeared skeptical during a court hearing of claims made by Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend. Florida Judge Elizabeth Metzger repeatedly questioned Erica Herman’s attorney during Tuesday’s hearing. Benjamin Hodas tried to argue that a nondisclosure agreement between the two should be invalidated, questioning whether her signature on the 2017 contract was legitimate or forged. Metzger appeared to side with Woods’ attorney that the agreement requires that any legal disputes between the two be handled in private by an arbitrator, not in court. Herman is seeking $30 million, saying she was illegally evicted from Woods’ mansion after their breakup last October. She has also claimed sexual harassment, an allegation Woods’ attorney denies. MLB – Major League Baseball Yesterday Detroit Tigers 2, New York Mets 0 Washington Nationals 4, Chicago Cubs 3 Minnesota Twins 7, Chicago White Sox 3 – 12 Innings Tigers 2, Mets 0 – Justin Verlander gives up 2 HRs in Tigers’ 2-0 win over Mets Justin Verlander gave up back-to-back home runs in his New York Mets debut and Eduardo Rodriguez threw eight scoreless innings and the Detroit Tigers completed a three-game sweep with a 2-0 win. Riley Greene and Javier Baez hit solo homers off Verlander in the first inning and that was enough offense for Detroit. Rodriguez gave up just two hits and one walk while striking out nine. Alex Lange pitched the ninth for his fifth save. Verlander settled in after his rough start, showing signs of the form that made him one of the game’s all-time greats. Nationals 4, Cubs 3 – Call’s walk-off homer gives Nationals 4-3 win over Cubs Alex Call hit a game-ending homer leading off the ninth inning, and the Washington Nationals recovered after blowing a 3-0 lead to beat Chicago 4-3 and take three of four from the skidding Cubs. Call lofted the only pitch from Brad Boxberger just inside the left-field foul pole and was greeted at the plate by exuberant teammates, who dumped a bucket of blue Gatorade on his head. Washington led 3-0 after seven near-flawless innings by starter Patrick Corbin, but the Cubs tied it in the 8th against Hunter Harvey. Kyle Finnegan pitched out of a jam in the 9th for the win. Twins 7, White Sox 3 – F/12 – Correa, Buxton lift Twins over White Sox in 12 innings Carlos Correa drove in a run during Minnesota’s five-run 12th inning, and he and Byron Buxton homered to lift the Twins over the Chicago White Sox 7-3 Thursday and avoid a three-game sweep. The AL Central-leading Twins had lost three of four. Correa spurred Minnesota to victory hours after downplaying remarks from Chicago reliever Keynan Middleton, who called Correa “a cheater.” Eloy Jiménez homered for the White Sox, who ended a three-game winning streak. Alex Lange pitched the ninth for his fifth save. Verlander settled in after his rough start, showing signs of the form that made him one of the game’s all-time greats.
