I like the twists and the turns. … I like when we get thrown new things.” Alex Gazan, currently ranked 29th in the world, joins host Adrian Conway on the podcast to talk about joining Underdog Athletics, finding balance as a competitive athlete, and her experience at her CrossFit Games debut. Gazan started CrossFit in 2017 at the encouragement of her high-school physical education teacher, who saw her potential. She signed up for her first Open in the Girls 16-17 division in 2018, and by 2022, she had qualified for her first CrossFit Games after finishing fourth at the Granite Games. Gazan placed 24th in her Games debut.In today's episode, the three-time Semifinalist shares her CrossFit beginning and how she came to work with Justin Cotler of Underdogs Athletics. Sara Sigmundsdóttir (05:00) is one of the most influential women in the history of the sport of CrossFit. In her first year, she broke onto the scene taking 3rd in 2015 at the CrossFit Games. In the following years she took another 3rd and a 4th. Since then, she has been plagued with injuries, but she is still determined to work hard to accomplish her goal of being crowned Fittest On Earth. Connor stops by and discusses what it was like being the test tube for his parents when they designed a fitness methodology for Teens. Connor competed at the first CrossFit Games at the age of 15 was the youngest person to join the CrossFit Seminar Staff. He went on to help with Brand X for kids, Joined Underdogs Athletics as the Programmer for the Teen Program Track and Coach! We talk with Colette about her time growing up trying all sports, Going to college at FSU and going to the final four in Soccer 3 out of 4 years and being named captain in her senior year. After College she fell in love with coaching both Soccer and Strength and Conditioning. Then she found CrossFIt, Started coaching there, Started a Family and now as a Master's Athlete is one of the Fittest Woman in the World. She also joined the Underdogs Team and does coaching for them focusing on Master's athletes and helping with the Master's Programming.

Tommy Hackenbruck has done it all, Played college football under Urban Meyer at the University of Utah, had a Podium Finish as an Individual at the 2009 CrossFit Games, Won the Affiliate Cup Team Championship twice in 2012 and 2013, with another podium finish on a team in 2015. Tommy also won Steve Austin's Broken Skull Ranch Times. Matt has been training in CrossFit for over 6 years, competing at national and international levels, making appearances at super regionals on a team in 2017 and 2018, as well as competing as an individual in 3 sanctioned events. He most recently finished 12th at the West Coast Classic in 2021. Matt designs programs for a variety of different intentions, including general fitness, injury pre/rehab, and athletic performance. He has experience with all aspects of individual coaching from his competitive and coaching careers.
