On Thursday April 29, 2021, the Florida Supreme Court released an administrative order changing the standard Florida State Judges are to use when ruling on Motions for Summary Judgment. On April 3, 2020, Broward Chief Judge Jack Tuter addressed the legal community in a Zoom forum concerning changes to the civil division in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Judge Tuter stated that the Broward Courts have 100 Zoom accounts, that no attorney has a reasonable objection to using Zoom, in addition to other information pertaining to keeping the wheels of the civil justice system turning.
