Truth Be Told with Booker Scott – With every new line drawn, conservatives seem to back up. With their backs against the wall now, society and culture are on this Nov 5 ballot. The indoctrination of our children in public schools, state laws protecting boys in girls' sports, boys in girls restrooms, transgender rights for children…it was just a cake for a gay couple. Too many lines have been drawn, and the American people will...

How can a team with so much potential find themselves in such a precarious position? Join me, James Johnson, for a solo episode on the Touchdown Jaguars podcast as I discussed the Jags' rocky path so far. From a disheartening 1-5 record to a tough loss against the Chicago Bears in London Sunday, I dissected the game's unexpected twists and what went wrong. We'll also delve into the off-field drama, including notable comments from owner Shad Khan and player Andre Cisco, alongside the implications of trading Roy Robertson-Harris to the Seattle Seahawks. The Jaguars' offensive woes continue to be a hot topic, and we leave no stone unturned. Trevor Lawrence's valiant efforts are juxtaposed against Evan Ingram's impressive return, while Gabe Davis's inconsistent play raises eyebrows. We'll question the curious roster choices, like favoring D'Ernest Johnson over Tank Bigsby, and the defensive penalties that paved the way for the Bears' victory. With Travis Etienne likely to sidelined due to injury, there's a spotlight on Tank Bigsby's opportunity to shine, and the importance of managing injuries to players like Tyson Campbell becomes ever more pressing.Amidst the turmoil, we examine the bigger picture, questioning the Jaguars' cultural and managerial challenges. Are Doug Pederson and Trent Baalke the right leaders for this struggling team? Shad Khan's questionable support of the duo is put under the microscope, as we explore the potential need for a fresh start and new leadership. With Andre Cisco's candid insights, we paint a comprehensive picture of a team in need of transformation. As we edge closer to our milestone 100th episode, we remain committed to supporting the Jaguars community through these turbulent times.Touchdown Jaguars LinktreeDownload the SeatGeek app & use code " TOUCHDOWNJAGUARS " for $20 off your first SeatGeek order! James Johnson and Phil Smith bring you the best and most up to date Jacksonville Jaguars news. "Touchdown Jaguars!" is a tribute to the prospective ownership group "Touchdown Jacksonville!" In 1991, the NFL announced plans to add two expansion teams and "Touchdown Jacksonville!" announced its bid for a team, and Jacksonville was ultimately chosen as one of five finalists. In November 1993, the NFL owners voted 26–2 in favor of awarding the 30th franchise to Jacksonville. James and Phil have been fans of the franchise ever since and have had the honor (and sometimes dishonor) of covering the team professionally since 2017. The rest as they say, is history.
A Clare senator is calling for an inquiry into persisting "cultural issues" at the region's main hospital. The call comes after the publication of former Chief Justice Frank Clarke's report into the death of Shannon teenager of Aoife Johnston at University Hospital Limerick which found health service failure to be the cause of her death. Following the report's publication, six members of staff at the Dooradoyle facility are facing disciplinary action. Speaking in the Seanad however, Tulla Fianna Fáil Senator Timmy Dooley says he believes the problems at the facility go beyond six individuals.

Ever thought about how your college degree might sway your political leanings? Voters with and without college degrees drifting apart, especially on issues like economics, social values, and foreign policy, but what's driving this shift, and how are party positions influencing voters across different education levels?A new paper from University of Pennsylvania's William Marble, “What Explains Educational Realignment? An Issue Voting Framework for Analyzing Electoral Coalitions” gives some surprising answers to these questions and challenges the assumptions we often hear in the media.
Australia correspondent Peter Ryan spoke to Lisa Owen about a top media boss has resigned after a long run of damaging cultural issues at one of the biggest TV networks, social media users being warned to double-check their privacy settings to protect their personal data from being exploited by "big tech," and King Charles and Queen Camillia visiting Australia next month.
In this profound discussion, we explore the delicate balance between standing firm in biblical truth and responding to cultural challenges with love and grace. The conversation centers on Acts 3:19, reminding us that the purpose of the Gospel is to experience Jesus' presence through repentance. We're challenged to consider how we can impact culture in a Christ-like manner, focusing on individual hearts rather than waging public wars. The story of Paul in Ephesus (Acts 19) serves as a powerful example of how preaching the Gospel and discipling converts can organically transform culture. This approach emphasizes the importance of allowing the Holy Spirit to convict and empower, rather than relying on our own strength to change society. Let us know your thoughts about the episode!
