OA1093 - In this episode recorded on Thanksgiving Day, two vegetarians carve up the Canadian turkey born Aubrey Drake Graham. Are Drake's exploratory legal actions against Universal Music in response to Kendrick Lamar's “Not Like Us” the weakest move in the history of rap beefs? Matt shares some of his favorite diss tracks before we consider these filings and how Drake thought he could possibly come out of this looking good. We also take a look at Jack Smith's motion to dismiss both of the federal criminal cases against the 47th President-elect of the United States,  and what we can learn about the possible future (?) of these cases from both his motion and DC federal judge Tanya Chutkan's order granting it. Aubrey Drake Graham, the everyman of hip-hop, is a man who can dominate an entire year musically without even releasing his own album, it's happened before. However, this was not one of those years, at least with being prolific because Drake did still dominate but he did so by releasing a ton of new music including two new albums, one of which was an experimental house album, the other a collaboration with great 21 Savage. However, all of the new music and collaborations did not come without controversy or spicy headlines for the media tabloids to run with. Drake is also just one of the most popular celebrities on the planet, people constantly come up off his name so it isn't surprising to see the things people do just to gain clout off the Canadian rapper's name. Drake also does some pretty extravagant things like getting a necklace made out of 42 wedding rings or throwing confetti championship celebrations for his friend's pick-up basketball league. As he said himself, Drake is a presence that is almost its own character in movies, and the man has had quite the year so here are the 5 craziest Drake moments of 2022.

Aubrey Drake Graham & Queen Beyonce have created another classic. Beyoncé‘s seventh studio album, RENAISSANCE, is gearing up to make a big splash on the charts in its first week. According to Hits Daily Double, RENAISSANCE is projected to move between 275,000 and 315,000 equivalent album units in its first week. Additionally, the record is expected to collect upwards of 170 million plays in the United States, which is much higher than early predictions. The outlet reports that those projections are strong enough to place the album in the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The projected figures would place RENAISSANCE among the largest releases of this year. Harry Styles‘ Harry House currently holds the title for the biggest debut, with 521,000 equivalent album units. Kendrick Lamar previously had the largest opening for Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, which scored 258,000 equivalent album units. A famous pastor out of Oklahoma got very literal in his sermon this weekend about seeing God's hazy vision for ourselves in 2022 -- needing to hawk one to make his point. Michael Todd, who leads the Transformation Church in Tulsa, conjured up grossed-out reactions from his congregation Sunday during his service -- which was being streamed for the folks at home. The reason ... he wiped his own spit all over the face of his brother who was up there volunteering for the yuck fest. In a new song with The Game entitled "Eazy," the rapper, 44, makes his feelings about the 28-year-old Saturday Night Live star, who is currently dating West's estranged wife Kim Kardashian. In the track, released Friday, West references his near-fatal car crash from 2002 and raps, "God saved me from that crash/ just so I can beat Pete Davidson's ass." After Davidson's name is mentioned, a woman's voice, which sounds a lot like his estranged wife's, is sampled and says "Who?". For the first show of 2012, I decided to bring you a show featuring one of my favorite artists: Aubrey Drake Graham. Now, you may know Drake as the guy who exploded onto the scene with his mixtape So Far Gone in 2009 and from the countless hits and the two albums he's dropped since. But in this show, I aim to bring you the lesser known Drake music. With a few exceptions, this show consists of music from his first mixtape Room For Improvement to his first album Thank Me Later. I tried to stay away from singles as much as possible but you might hear a tune or two you've heard before. So without further ado, I give you: A Man Named Drake. This episode is a bit shorter than previous shows, just a heads up.
