"You need to see what you are made of. I think everyone needs to go to the top and take a dip....Falling down really determines your true success. How do you get back up?" Timbaland    You know how it goes Pivot Family- 'It's been a long time, we shouldn't have left you, without a dope beat to step to'....Well we have that beat, as we welcome entertainment icon, Timbaland to The Pivot as he delivers a masterclass in music, resilience, and reinvention. The Grammy-winning producer sits down with Ryan, Fred and Channing to talk about his legendary career, the price of success, overcoming addiction, and the future of the industry.   Raised in Virginia, Timbaland didn't come from a major music city, but that only made him hungrier. He breaks down how growing up with limited resources forced him to use anything available to him to create a sound that had never been heard before. As a teenager, he was shot in the neck, leaving him temporarily paralyzed on one side, but it didn't slow up his creative drive, it only sharpened his focus, clearing the way for one of the most distinct musical paths.  Ryan recounts how Timbaland, a musical mastermind, was a soundtrack to life growing up and is behind some of the most memorable hits of our times. With over 18-GRAMMY nominations, 4 GRAMMY wins and 200+ ASCAP Music awards, he shares with the guys how he understands his contributions to the music world and is grateful for working with some of the most successful and legendary artists who always brought out the best in him.    From Jay-Z's effortless flow to Missy Elliott's visionary and creativity, Timbaland shares what makes "the Greats" different. He breaks down how he and Missy discovered Aaliyah's “Try Again” beat, the chemistry behind Justin Timberlake's biggest hits, the songs he wished he released differently, his in-studio process with Jay Z and why some artists just have an energy that can't be duplicated. Timbaland opens up on his dark times, discussing the moment success became too much and admits that at his peak, he let his ego overpower his talent, which allowed addiction to give him a false sense of power. He recalls out-of-body experiences that made him confront how far he had fallen, the loss of reality and how ultimately, it was deep self-reflection, faith and his wife's voice that brought him back.   Despite decades of prominence and success, Timbaland isn't stuck in the past. He's studying the next wave of producers, embracing change, and keeping his sound ahead of the curve. He talks about the impact of Versuz's platform that he co-created with Swizz Beatz, how new artists are still trying to replicate his blueprint, and how the secret to true success isn't about longevity, it's about knowing how to adapt and elevate.   This conversation takes us on a journey through music but also sheds light on lessons of falling, rebuilding, and coming back stronger than ever. As in music and in life, Timbaland's story is proof that the real beat never stops, sometimes, you just have to find the rhythm again. Your favorite Fiorentina podcast idiots are back for a new episode looking at the same problems plaguing the VIola in deflating losses at Panathinaikos and against Napoli from which they limped away with even more self-inflicted wounds, which should feel like business as usual at this point but still hurts our feelings. We also discuss expectations for the rest of the season and weigh the merits of Serie A versus the Conference League in a discussion that we certainly won't look back on as hopelessly optimistic in a few months. The real fun part, though, is a look at all the Fiorentina loanees. This is the loaniest club in the league and we wanted to look at those short-term deals through a longer-term lens, so we played a new game we're calling Keep or Yeet with the guys currently at the club, and a similar game called Try Again or To the Bin with the guys elsewhere. Along the way, you'll get to hear about the Irish Hineses of Monterrey in Mexico, McMike learning what yeet means, and Tito once again reduced to dead air (because that's what makes for compelling audio content). Thank you to Sport Social Podcast Network for hosting us and to Windchime Weather for the music. As always, we hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making this. Nick Marshall was not exactly your average twenty-one-year-old from New Jersey. After serving three years in prison for armed robbery, he was still fairly young upon his release, but wondered what kind of life he could lead as an ex-con. As he soon came to find, life on parole had its limits, but he was fortunate enough to have a salaried job, a roof over his head, and a car. Yet something still tugged at him: his yearning to be an artist. Aware of the immense time and effort it would take to fulfill such a dream, he gave up his safety net and took his place at the bottom of the totem pole in the hospitality industry. What Nick did not expect was for a series of jobs in bars and restaurants to catapult him into the exciting yet treacherous world of New York City nightlife. By connecting with all of the right movers, shakers, gatekeepers, and the like, he began to blaze a new trail. Before he knew it, he was a power player who had it all—or so he thought. He began to question if trips to Saint-Tropez, infinite freebies, and celebrity-like treatment were enough to let the dream that started it all take a backseat. Yet again, he found himself ready to make a major sacrifice. Try Again: An Ex-Con's Path from Prison to Prosperity is the inspirational story of one man's climb back into society as the woes of post-prison life kept kicking him down. It is a recount of the lessons he learned—how being blinded by the limelight cost him everything he worked so hard for, as well as his mental health and stability. Try Again won't just speak to the formerly incarcerated; it is for anyone looking to start anew when it feels utterly impossible. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-like-it-s-live--4113802/support.

Me voy. Vamos a ello. Si no los has pensado, no estás siendo efectivo.¿Y cómo podemos crear Hooks?

Hola SEO |

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 25, 2024 14:00

Vamos a darle. Sharing a conversation with Intuitive Medium and Sound Healer, Rachel Lauren Stone. This is for everyone who has felt like they lost their voice, or never even had it in the first place. Talking about Mediumship, Spiritual Healing, stories of awakening to your own intuitive gifts, sound healing and learning to stand in your own power. From fear of rejection to embracing the magic you were rejected for. Rachel's story can show us to never give up and know when it okay to step away and when it's time to TRY AGAIN! This episode goes into Rachel's upbringing in the Church to finding her own voice and connection to Spirit/God through her journey with healing herself through Energy and Sound Healing and eventually opening up to and embracing her gifts in mediumship. We talk a lot of how Rachel experiences her mediumship gifts and how that might show up in a reading as well as everyday life. And how both of our experiences with Mediumship have connected us to our families and ancestors in ways we didn't expect. Ending the episode with a beautiful sound bath and Reiki healing experience held by Rachel. Followed by a short collective reading from Grace, the Crystals and the Cards. and lots more! enjoy xoxo Angel Face

If you're a separated or divorced woman looking to not simply get through your divorce but to heal and even begin to hope again, Heartbreak to Hope, my 3-month comprehensive guide is for you. get started on your healing journey today: https://bit.ly/Heartbreak-to-Hope-pwyc Module 1: Looking Back We begin this process considering where we've come from relationally and what led us to where we are today. It's foundational that we spend at least a little time looking back, searching for patterns in how we relate, especially with men. Our pasts have formed us, but do not define who we are or where we're going. Lesson: Your Childhood & All Other MenWebcast: Our Past Does Not Define Us Module 2: Looking at Your Present We continue the process of defining relational / emotional / physical / spiritual reality, as we can only truly move forward when we're honest with how things actually are right now. We prepare our hearts and minds to dig deep, first by tackling all the questions of why that we're struggling with, sifting through distorted perceptions of hope, assessing how our life is truly going, as well as learning tangible tools to manage our stress and how to actually be okay with letting go of what we can't change. Lesson 1: All the Why'sWebcast: We Have a Big Hope Lesson 2: Defining & Accepting My RealityWebcast: Owning Our Part Lesson 3: StressWebcast: Surrendering the Unchangeables Lesson 4: Self-CareWebcast: Balancing Self-Care with Caring for Others & Self-Care vs Self-Destruction Module 3: Looking In We do a deep dive into the myriad of emotions that can leave a woman paralyzed or send her spiraling into poor choices. These are the emotions that scare us the most, that we tend to push down or pretend we're not experiencing – loneliness, rejection, shame, anger. We will look them dead in the eye and name them to help remove their power of us. We can feel all of these things, but we'll learn how to best work through them. Lesson 1: LonelinessWebcast: Jesus Is Not My Boyfriend Lesson 2: Rejection & AbandonmentWebcast: We Are Already Completely Loved Lesson 3: Failure & ShameWebcast: Only One Opinion Matters Lesson 4: AngerWebcast: Stuffed Anger Will Turn Into Bitterness Module 4: Looking Around & Ahead We redefine old relationships and we begin creating newness.  We need to establish new ways of relating with our now former partner, which starts with the deep work of forgiveness. We'll move into co-parenting which can be so tricky, as well as how to find new support as a single person in a couples' culture, and we'll actually allow ourselves to dream about our future, maybe for the first time in a very long time. Lesson 1: ForgivenessWebcast: Healing from the 3 A's: Abuse, Addiction & Adultery Lesson 2: BoundariesWebcast: Children & Co-Parenting Lesson 3: Finding Friendship & Support as a SingleWebcast: Who Needs You? Lesson 4: Your Dreams & GoalsWebcast: To Stay Single or to Try Again? & You Have a Gift --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/elisabeth-klein/message

One of the challenges with making changes in a database environment is that undoing those changes can be hard. What's often preferred is rolling forward with a new change to correct the issue, but that's often done with limited analysis and thought. Instead, we hope our staff makes a quick patch and a better decision under pressure than they did with more time to examine the problem. That works if it's a simple mistake that was made in implementation but not if we haven't designed our solution well at the start. I ran across an article on DoorDash that I thought was interesting. During the pandemic, their business exploded and they outgrew the Aurora PostgreSQL database. They migrated to Cockroach, a cloud version of PostgreSQL that's distributed and can (theoretically) scale much higher. Read the rest of Try, Try Again, Until It's Right

Author of the book Baby Girl: Better Known as Aaliyah Kathy Iandoli returns to Pop Pantheon to unpack the far too short career of one of the most exciting pop recording artists of her generation, Aaliyah. Kathy and Louie discuss Aaliyah's upbringing in Detroit, her connection to soul legend Gladys Knight and how she came to create 1994's Age Ain't Nothing But a Number with R. Kelly, a convicted sexual predator who married her illegally as a teen. Then they examine one of the most forward-thinking pieces of R&B futurism ever produced, 1996's One in a Million, a collaboration largely with innovative songwriting and production duo Timbaland and Missy Elliott, which is widely considered one of the best albums of the ‘90s. Next, they dissect Aaliyah's showcase of triple-threat talent in Romeo Must Die and Queen of the Damned, her thrilling soundtrack songs, "Are You That Somebody" and "Try Again,” the blend of R&B traditionalism and avant garde genre experiments on Aaliyah's 2001's self-titled album, released just one month before her untimely death and how her early passing as impacted her legacy. The cod and lye are now on the floor. Ingrid, Magnus, and Lars look at the mess. They don't know what to do. They wanted to make lutefisk, but now the kitchen is a mess.Nb: Ingrid blir oppgitt. Hun sier, "vi kan ikke gi opp!". Magnus og Lars er enige. De begynner å rydde opp. Ingrid vasker gulvet. Lars henter mer lut.En: Ingrid becomes frustrated. She says, "we can't give up!" Magnus and Lars agree. They start cleaning up. Ingrid cleans the floor. Ingrid takes the cod. Magnus takes the lye. Lars makes sure everything is clean. Ingrid, Magnus, and Lars work together. They do it carefully. They don't want any more accidents.Nb: Til slutt er lutefisken klar. Den lukter godt. Ingrid, Magnus og Lars er fornøyd. De har ryddet opp rotet. De har laget lutefisk.En: Finally, the lutefisk is ready. It smells delicious. Ingrid, Magnus, and Lars are satisfied. They have cleaned up the mess. They have made lutefisk. En: It is starting to get evening. They sit down to eat. They taste the lutefisk. They smile and laugh. They are happy. They have had a nice day, despite the mess. En: The story ends with a sunset. Ingrid, Magnus, and Lars are in the cabin. They are full and happy. They have learned a lesson. Sometimes there is a mess, but it's okay. The most important thing is to try again. The most important thing is to be together. And the most important thing is to make lutefisk. Renewed Mama - Kimberly Muhtar | Mom Life, Parenting Tips, Parenting Coach, Education, Homeschool

If you catch yourself shouting at your kids because you stepped on Lego again even after you told them ten times to clean them up, here's how you can try again this time not yelling at them.   We give our children the chance to try again when they throw a temper tantrum, meltdown, or disrespect you or a sibling.  We let them try again to teach them how to respond in a better way. Sometimes, Mama, we need to give ourselves a chance to try again when we don't respond in the best way either. So each Monday, I'm sharing what you probably think or say, or how you probably respond that once it's out, it makes you cringe with “That wasn't so nice.  I should really apologize” even if you feel frustrated, annoyed, or impatient. And I'm helping you try again with a better way to think, to speak, and to respond to your children. We are learning and we are growing in this Mama thing.  We get to renew.  So here's your new Mama Script. Oddisee - Try Again from the 2023 album To What End on Outer Note Label. In January, rapper/producer Oddisee dropped his twelfth studio album, To What End, which explores human ambition, posing the question: “How far are you willing to go, and why?” This idea is expressed in our Song of the Day and early single “Try Again.” Backed by a funky groove, the DC-based emcee waxes about growing from the trials and tribulations he previously endured. "Couple wins, couple L's / Took a hit but I prevailed/ Now I got the gist on how to flip it when I fail." Synth keys, rapid-firing drums, and a luscious guitar lick round out the infectious dance jam as Oddisee encourages listeners to not let their losses define them, proclaiming "All this time you spent / All that love you gave/ Please don't walk away / Try again.” Watch Oddisee's stirring Live from KEXP at Home performance and read the full post at KEXP.org.Support the show: https://www.kexp.org/donateSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
