Rex Nelson's Southern Fried Podcast
The state of religion, church and Arkansas' private colleges and universities with Rex Horne

On this episode of the podcast, Rex sits down for an in-depth discussion with one of his longtime religious mentors and a man he says many refer to as "Arkansas' pastor," Rex Horne, the outgoing executive director of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. With Horne's decades-long career as a prominent Baptist leader, educator and administrator, the two cover a range of topics related to faith, ministry and leadership in this installment of the podcast. The conversation begins with Horne's explaining his recent decision to step down as overseer of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, an announcement released to the public in April, and why he believes now is the right time for the Convention to take on new leadership. Horne, who began his tenure in October 2022 after retiring from a career in ministry and higher education administration, tells Rex that "institutions go through transitions" and understands that organizations occasionally need new oversight and direction. Next, Horne shares his thoughts on why mainstream Christian denominations are becoming "something from the past" and his belief that generational changes and different interpretations of the Bible have played a significant role in the evolution of churches and church attendance. The conversation then transitions to Horne's nine year tenure as president of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, where he learned about higher education and serving as a university leader by listening to and learning from the university's faculty, staff and students. Finally, Horne describes his experiences growing up in the Baptist faith in southern Arkansas, which led to his "call to ministry," including his time growing and expanding Little Rock's Immanuel Baptist Church from 1990 to 2006. In this influential role, Horne tells Rex about serving as President Bill Clinton's spiritual advisor and overseeing a $40 million building project that resulted in the church's relocation to a much larger facility on North Shackleford Road. Horne has now returned to pastoring, and the conversation concludes with a brief discussion on how he is leading Hope Church in the city's Hillcrest neighborhood, which allows him to continue to be "someone who wants to make a difference," as he describes it.    Follow Rex Nelson's Southern Fried Podcast on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube, or visit arkansasonline.com/podcast23 for an exclusive subscription offer available only to podcast listeners.  Chapters (00:00:17) - Southern Fried Podcast(00:01:05) - Arkansas Baptist State Convention Leader Rex Burkett on His Step Down(00:03:16) - When to Step Down as President of the Oklahoma Baptist Convention(00:06:53) - Arkansas Baptists Speak Out on the Decline of the Main(00:13:44) - Congregation at Pulaski Heights Baptist Church(00:15:01) - A message on the first year of the college presidency(00:19:20) - Independent Colleges and their role in Arkansas(00:21:08) - Pastor Clinton on Being President Bill Clinton's Pastor(00:27:48) - Arkansas Pastor Rex Horn on Why He Lived in the State

Exodus 17:8-16 How does your garden grow? If you plant the best seeds but don't water them, will they produce? If you water and weed, but don't fight bugs and birds, will you have a bountiful harvest? How's your sports team doing? If you have the best players, but no coaching, practice, or team chemistry, will you win? If you're a baseball team with great hitting but terrible pitching, will you succeed? Producing a healthy garden or a successful team requires a variety of healthy components and practices. How is a healthy congregation formed? Congregations face unsettling seasons (as KGF has over the years), or times of renewal and wondering what's next (as we are). A healthy congregation depends on healthy church leadership, and healthy church leadership depends on the components and practices of a healthy congregation. To know Jesus and make Him known, it's crucial we learn about the realities of pastoral ministry and church leadership, and proactively invest in their health and well-being. How can church leaders be in partnership with the whole body, leading to their and our success? Join us this Sunday as Bob Armstrong, Executive Director of Oasis Ministries, brings decades of experience in supporting the development of healthy pastors and congregations. We will explore the realities of pastoral ministry and how we as a body can be a healthy congregation with healthy leaders. Phil Wagler, Interim Pastor

In the final week of the series 'The Lies We Like,' Marcus addresses the complex and sensitive topics of gender dysphoria and transgenderism. Marcus emphasizes the need for a compassionate and respectful approach to these topics. He acknowledges that many in the congregation may personally relate to these issues and stresses the importance of focusing on people, not just theories. Marcus argues for a biblical perspective that values the body God has given us, advocating for mental renewal rather than seeking to conform our bodies to our minds. Ultimately, he reassures all individuals struggling with these challenges that they are loved by God and welcomed in His community, emphasizing that their identities are defined by God's love, not societal labels._______________________________________En la semana final de la serie 'Las Mentiras que Nos Gustan', Marcus aborda los temas complejos y sensibles de la disforia de género y el transgenderismo.

Welcome to this enlightening episode of Father and Joe, where Joe Rockey and Father Boniface unfold the complexities and significance of a new papal election. With the election of Pope Leo, many Catholics and non-Catholics alike grapple with the question: "What does this new leadership mean for our daily lives?" While changes might seem ceremonial, Father Boniface provides deep insights into how different popes have redefined roles within the Church, highlighting shifts from Pope John Paul II, Benedict XVI, to Francis. We delve into Pope Benedict's contribution, focusing on his theological brilliance and subtle yet profound changes, such as his emphasis on localized beatification and the wealth of academic discourse he left behind. Unlike his predecessor, Pope Francis brought a mission-focused agenda fueled by simplicity and poverty, reshaping annulment processes, Curial structures, and emphasizing the global mission of the Church. Joe and Father Boniface discuss the unforeseen election of an American Pope, reflecting on how a conclave discerningly selects a pontiff to address contemporary ecclesiastical and global challenges, considering factors often veiled in secrecy.Father Boniface further illuminates the balance between doctrine, which remains unchanged, and governance, which can evolve with each papal reign. This episode enriches listeners' understanding of how a Pope not only influences ecclesiastical direction but also impacts billions globally. Whether you are a devout Catholic or a curious observer, this discussion promises to deepen your appreciation of the Papal office's depth and its alignment with the broader mission of the Church. Tune in next week for more reflections on Pope Leo's election and expectations in his papacy.Tags: Papal Transition, Pontiff, Pope Leo, Pope Francis, Pope Benedict XVI, Catholic Doctrine, Church Governance, Vatican, Catholic Church, Papal Influence, Missionary Discipleship, Evangelization, Church Reform, New Evangelization, Church History, Pope John Paul II, Papal Election, Catholic Tradition, Spiritual Leadership, Theological Insights, Papal Teachings, Beatification, Synod, Catholic Audience, Religious Influence, Modern Christianity, Global Catholicism, Church Doctrine, Vatican Council, Church Unity, Catholic Faith, Church and Society, Clergy, Congregation, Catholic Community, Church Practices, Religious Discussions, Theology, Papal CeremoniesHashtags: #PapalTransition, #PopeLeo, #CatholicChurch, #Vatican, #PopeFrancis, #PopeBenedict, #ChurchHistory, #CatholicDoctrine, #MissionaryDiscipleship, #Evangelization, #ChurchReform, #PapalInfluence, #UniversalChurch, #SpiritualLeadership, #PapalTeachings, #CatholicTradition, #TheologyInsights, #ChurchGovernance, #CatholicFaith, #ReligiousInfluence, #Beatification, #Synod, #CatholicCommunity, #VaticanCouncil, #GlobalCatholicism, #ModernChristianity, #ChurchUnity, #CatholicAudience, #SpiritualDirection, #ChurchPractices, #ReligiousDiscussions, #PapalCeremonies, #NewEvangelization, #PapalElection, #ReligiousSignificance, #CatholicPodcast.

Driving Question. Where is true life found? Main Idea. By His grace, true life is found by hoping in God and guarding His gospel. 1. By hoping in God, not earthly wealth (17–19) Two warnings of wealth. i. (17) Danger of haughtiness. ii. (17) Danger of false hope. Helpful and hopeful reminder. "but [set your hope] on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy." Matt 6:19–21 Jn 10:10 Application. [Two indications that you're trusting in Christ and storing up treasure]: i. Thankful to God and rightly enjoy what he provides (17). ii. Be rich in good works, generous and ready to share (18). 2. By holding-fast God's gospel, not man's knowledge (20–21) Paul gives three final pleads to Timothy to have a faithful pastorate. i. A careful ministry (20) ii. A blameless ministry (20) iii. A graceful ministry (21) Application: i. Do you treasure God's Word as a sacred trust, or treat it as common? ii. Are you proactively guarding your heart and your church from error? iii. Are you more influenced by podcasts, pundits, and platforms than by Scripture? iv. Where might your heart be drifting from the simplicity and sufficiency of Jesus? Three Takeaways from 1 Timothy. 1. The Church exists to protect sound doctrine. Know the signs of false teachers (1:3–7; 4:1–3; 6:4–5, 21) Prayer keeps the church gospel centered (2:1–7) Proper roles rooted in creation (2:8–15) Faithful qualified officers (3:1–13) Teaching right doctrine (1:3–7, 10–11; 4:1–6, 11–16; 6:3–5, 20–21) Faithful living that bears Christ's name (1:3–5; 3:1–16; 4:6, 12–16; 6:3, 6–12) Rich doctrine is found only in Jesus Christ (1:1–2; 3:16, 6:21) 2. The Church is a household with structure. Christ is the head of the church (1:1–2; 3:14–15) Prayer and the Word guide worship (2:1–7; 4:13–16) Led by Elders (also called overseers) (3:1–7) Served by Deacons (3:8–13) The Congregation is a family (3:14–15; 5:1–2) Caring for widows (5:3–16) Supporting elders (5:17–18) Accountable to each other (doctrine, relationships, actions, care) 3. The Gospel is for the nations. Jesus came into the world to save sinners (1:15) Prayer (2:1–7) The glorious gospel itself (3:16) The gospel forms the church in missional context (cf Acts 18:19–21; 19:1–10; 20:17–38)

Full Text of ReadingsTuesday of the Fourth Week of Easter Lectionary: 280The Saint of the day is Our Lady of FatimaThe Story of Our Lady of Fatima Between May 13 and October 13, 1917, three Portuguese children–Francisco and Jacinta Marto and their cousin Lucia dos Santos–received apparitions of Our Lady at Cova da Iria near Fatima, a city 110 miles north of Lisbon. Mary asked the children to pray the rosary for world peace, for the end of World War I, for sinners, and for the conversion of Russia. Mary gave the children three secrets. Following the deaths of Francisco and Jacinta in 1919 and 1920 respectively, Lucia revealed the first secret in 1927. It concerned devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The second secret was a vision of hell. When Lucia grew up she became a Carmelite nun and died in 2005 at the age of 97. Pope John Paul II directed the Holy See's Secretary of State to reveal the third secret in 2000; it spoke of a “bishop in white” who was shot by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows into him. Many people linked this vision to the assassination attempt against Pope John Paul II in St. Peter's Square on May 13, 1981. The feast of Our Lady of Fatima was approved by the local bishop in 1930; it was added to the Church's worldwide calendar in 2002. Reflection The message of Fatima is simple: Pray. Unfortunately, some people—not Sister Lucia—have distorted these revelations, making them into an apocalyptic event for which they are now the only reliable interpreters. They have, for example, claimed that Mary's request that the world be consecrated to her has been ignored. Sister Lucia agreed that Pope John Paul II's public consecration in St. Peter's Square on March 25, 1984, fulfilled Mary's request. The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith prepared a June 26, 2000, document explaining the “third secret.” Mary is perfectly honored when people generously imitate her response “Let it be done to me as you say” (Luke 1:38). Mary can never be seen as a rival to Jesus or to the Church's teaching authority, as exercised by the college of bishops united with the bishop of Rome. Click here for more on Our Lady! President Micah Hjermstad shares the history, structure, and vision of this distinctively autonomous Lutheran body. The conversation explores how congregational freedom and collaborative ministry can flourish together when centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ.• History of the AFLC traces back to Norway in the 1800s as a reaction against state church control• AFLC formed in 1962 when 40 congregations chose not to merge with the American Lutheran Church• Now encompasses over 250 congregations across 26 states with international ministries• Unique polity based on 12 fundamental principles that establish congregational autonomy• National offices support rather than govern congregations through five separate corporations• Congregations answer only to "the Word and the Spirit" without hierarchical authority• Vision focusing on maintaining biblical authority while leaning into "the freedom of the gospel"• Leadership development primarily occurs at the congregational level with new national initiatives• Majority lay representation required on all national boards• Creating environments for gracious disagreement while maintaining unity• Lutheran theology "embraces tension" rather than forcing artificial resolution of biblical paradoxes• Different Lutheran denominations reach different people with the same gospelSupport the showJoin the Lead Time Newsletter! Full Text of ReadingsSaturday of the Third Week of Easter Lectionary: 278The Saint of the day is Saint Damien de Veuster of MolokaiSaint Damien de Veuster of Moloka'i's Story When Joseph de Veuster was born in Tremelo, Belgium, in 1840, few people in Europe had any firsthand knowledge of leprosy, Hansen's disease. By the time he died at the age of 49, people all over the world knew about this disease because of him. They knew that human compassion could soften the ravages of this disease. Forced to quit school at age 13 to work on the family farm, Joseph entered the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary six years later, taking the name of a fourth-century physician and martyr. When his brother Pamphile, a priest in the same congregation, fell ill and was unable to go to the Hawaiian Islands as assigned, Damien quickly volunteered in his place. In May 1864, two months after arriving in his new mission, Damien was ordained a priest in Honolulu and assigned to the island of Hawaii. In 1873, he went to the Hawaiian government's leper colony on the island of Moloka'i, set up seven years earlier. Part of a team of four chaplains taking that assignment for three months each year, Damien soon volunteered to remain permanently, caring for the people's physical, medical, and spiritual needs. In time, he became their most effective advocate to obtain promised government support. Soon the settlement had new houses and a new church, school and orphanage. Morale improved considerably. A few years later, he succeeded in getting the Franciscan Sisters of Syracuse, led by Mother Marianne Cope, to help staff this colony in Kalaupapa. Damien contracted Hansen's disease and died of its complications. As requested, he was buried in Kalaupapa, but in 1936 the Belgian government succeeded in having his body moved to Belgium. Part of Damien's body was returned to his beloved Hawaiian brothers and sisters after his beatification in 1995. When Hawaii became a state in 1959, it selected Damien as one of its two representatives in the Statuary Hall at the US Capitol. Damien was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI on October 11, 2009. Reflection Some people thought Damien was a hero for going to Moloka'i and others thought he was crazy. When a Protestant clergyman wrote that Damien was guilty of immoral behavior, Robert Louis Stevenson vigorously defended him in an “Open Letter to Dr. Hyde.” Love the saints? It's Friday, May 9th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Second anniversary of brutal violence in India Christians of Manipur State, India marked the second anniversary of the brutal ethnic violence that erupted on May 3, 2023, reports International Christian Concern. Shockingly, 258 people were killed, 1,000 injured, and 60,000 people were displaced. Plus, 4,786 houses were burnt and 386 religious structures were vandalized, including temples and churches. India is the 11th most dangerous country worldwide in which to be a Christian. Cardinals selected first American Pope On the fourth vote, the College of Cardinals, referred to as the Papal Conclave, chose the first-ever American Pope.  Robert Prevost has taken the name of Pope Leo XIV, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Born in Chicago, educated at Villanova University, and a missionary to Peru, Prevost selected the name Leo for a reason. On ABC News, Catholic Pastor James Martin said this. MARTIN: “Historically, it's a name that would signal his alignment with workers, labor, and the poor.” Catholics claim that Peter, the fisherman disciple of Jesus, was the first pope. In fact, Scripture does not teach that Peter was in authority over the other apostles at all or over the church. Indeed, Ephesians 2:19 says, “So then, you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” Catholics also claim that the pope is infallible when he acts or speaks as Christ's representative on Earth. That assertion is not Scripturally supported either. Pope critical of Trump/Vance, pushed COVID vaccine, & removed conservative bishops In terms of positions on the issues, Prevost has been a vocal critic of President Donald Trump's administration and has consistently used his X account to promote material hostile to Trump's immigration policies.  In one instance from February 3, Prevost reposted an article by the National Catholic Reporter entitled “JD Vance is wrong: Jesus doesn't ask us to rank our love for others.” The article criticizes the U.S. vice president for correctly arguing that we owe more immediate responsibility to our own family members and country than to those overseas – a position taught by St. Thomas Aquinas – and reiterated in the “social encyclicals” of the nineteenth- and twentieth-century popes.  As head of the Congregation for Bishops, Prevost was instrumental in the removal of conservative Bishop Joseph Strickland in 2023 from Tyler, Texas, and the removal of the leading French conservative bishop, Dominique Rey, from his diocese of Fréjus-Toulon.   Prevost also reposted a call for the abortion-tainted COVID-19 vaccines to be “available for all” and a United States Conference of Catholic Bishops post that called getting vaccinated “an act of love.”  In 2012, a year before the election of Pope Francis, Cardinal Prevost expressed disappointment that some Western media held “sympathy for beliefs and practices that are at odds with the Gospel,” in particular, the “homosexual lifestyle” and “alternative families comprised of same-sex partners and their adopted children.” Trump's trade deal with U.K. nets U.S. $5 billion opportunity On Thursday, President Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced they had reached a trade agreement that lifted some — but not all — U.S. tariffs on British goods, reports National Public Radio. Trump said it would give U.S. companies better market access for beef, ethanol, other farm products, chemicals, machinery, and industrial products — new opportunities his administration said were worth $5 billion. 2nd largest automaker making splash in America Speaking of the positive impact of Trump's tariffs, Volkswagen Group, the second largest automaker in the world in 2024, is preparing to join the growing list of automakers looking to re-equip its US factories in response to the tariffs, reports The Daily Mail.  The German automaker's luxury brand, Audi — which assembles most of its lineup in its home country, Hungary, Mexico, Slovakia, Spain, and China — is planning to make some of its crossover and SUV models now in America. ‘Frasier' star Kelsey Grammer regrets ex-girlfriend's abortion Frasier star Kelsey Grammer opened up about his profound regret over his ex-girlfriend's abortion in his newly released memoir, reports People Magazine. This tragedy closely preceded another in the actor's life: the 1975 rape and murder of his younger sister, which is the main subject of his memoir Karen: A Brother Remembers.  In his new book, Grammer wrote, “I know that many people do not have a problem with abortion, and though I have supported it in the past, the abortion of my son eats away at my soul.” Just months before his sister's death, he explains that his then-girlfriend became pregnant and decided to abort their baby. While he said he was “willing” to keep the baby, he “did not plead with her to save his life.” Grammer admits he “volunteered to have my son's body vacuumed out of his mother's.” As Live Action reports, abortionists use “vacuums 10-20 times more powerful than a household vacuum cleaner to tear (babies) apart alive.”  Grammer added, “I regret it.” Despite his harrowing regret over his own son's death by abortion, the TV star ironically says he still believes abortion should be legal. Proverbs 31:8 says, “Open your mouth for the voiceless.” Over 7,750 baptized in largest single-day baptism in US history And finally, on Saturday, 7,750 people were baptized in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Huntington Beach, California, an event organizers say marked the largest single-day baptism in American history, reports The Christian Post. Hosted by Oceans Church and led by Pastor Mark Francey, the event dubbed "Baptize California" drew approximately 30,000 attendees from more than 300 churches across the Golden State. Take-Home Notes for the Congregation:1. God's Love Is Relentless and UnconditionalJust like the mother bunny in The Runaway Bunny, God's love follows us wherever we go. Nothing can separate us from it—not fear, failure, distance, or doubt.2. The Good Shepherd Leads—He Doesn't DriveSheep follow the voice they know. Jesus doesn't push us forward; He goes ahead of us, calling us to follow Him in trust and love.3. God Comes to Find Us, Not Just Wait for UsThe gospel isn't just about a light on a distant hill—it's about the God who leaves the fire, steps into the cold night, and brings us home.4. The Image of the Shepherd Is a Comfort—And a CallJesus seeks the lost and brings them home, but He also calls us to do the same. We are invited to follow Him by becoming shepherds—agents of love, compassion, justice, and healing.5. Our Response Is to Follow and Reflect the ShepherdTo live as Easter people is to go where Jesus goes—into the valleys, into the suffering, into the lost places—bringing the light of God's love with us.Reflection Question for the Week:Who in your life might be longing for the warmth of God's love? How can you reflect the heart of the Good Shepherd to them this week?

Pastoring Your Congregation Through Worship with Ben Haley Episode Summary In this powerful session from the Church Front Conference, Ben Haley shares three essential foundations for effective worship ministry that truly shepherds congregations. Drawing from scripture and personal experience, Ben explains how worship leaders must know their hearts, know their Bibles, and know their people to lead worship that transforms lives. Show Notes Key Timestamps 00:00 - Opening quote and introduction 00:59 - Ben shares the moving story of his father's final moments 03:18 - The profound influence of worship music and responsibility it brings 05:35 - What should be the foundation of worship ministry? 06:37 - Foundation #1: Know your heart 11:06 - Foundation #2: Know your Bible 15:35 - Practical tips for selecting and using worship songs 17:44 - Foundation #3: Know your people 21:29 - The danger of prioritizing programs over people 24:27 - Final encouragement to show off God's glory 25:39 - Closing quote from Martyn Lloyd-Jones Key Topics The Lasting Impact of Worship Songs Ben's father, despite being sedated and on a ventilator, communicated "It is well with my soul" in his final moments People rarely remember sermon details but often recall songs throughout their lives and even on their deathbeds What we sing has a profound influence on us, creating great responsibility for worship leaders Foundation #1: Know Your Heart Reference to 1 Timothy 4 - "Watch your life and doctrine closely" Cultural conditioning has led us to value competency over character Ephesians 5:18-19 commands being filled with the Spirit before addressing singing Many things can cause us to neglect our hearts: busy schedules, tasks, praise, or personal struggles "If our ministries are to bless the congregations that we lead, then our ministries have to be led and staffed by people who know that we have a great need for Jesus." Foundation #2: Know Your Bible Compare Ephesians 5:18-19 with Colossians 3:16 - singing flows from being Spirit-filled and Word-filled Technological and musical excellence alone don't make disciples "What truly makes disciples is the Word of God revealed by His Holy Spirit in the hearts and minds of His people." "The song book of a church is an indicator of that church's maturity." People need biblically rich lyrics to help them through grief, shame, and cultural confusion Practical Song Selection Guidelines Songs should use biblical language and themes Songs should be singable for the congregation Find creative ways to incorporate Scripture into worship times (slides, readings, etc.) Style preferences (old/new, simple/complex, upbeat/slow) are secondary to biblical content "When your people are moved by a melody...make sure that what you are giving your people to sing is something worth singing from the Word." Foundation #3: Know Your People Ephesians 5 and Colossians 3 both emphasize singing "to one another" Corporate worship is both vertical (to God) and horizontal (to each other) We need each other's voices when we're struggling to worship Practical implication: music shouldn't be so loud that congregants can't hear each other "The church is Jesus's bride. These are his people. He cherishes them. He gave his life for them." You can't shepherd people you don't know The Ultimate Goal of Worship Ministry Help people do what they were designed to do - worship God Attempts to reform behavior or conform people to church culture will fail "What you win people with is what you win them to." "Use those instruments, use those melodies, use the soundboards, use the lighting controllers to show off God's glory, and give your people the kinds of songs that they will sing on their deathbeds." Memorable Quotes "What we sing has a profound influence on us." - Ben Haley "With great power comes great responsibility." - Ben Haley (quoting Uncle Ben from Spider-Man) "We have been conditioned by our culture to value competency over character. We prefer platform over piety. We choose hype over holiness." - Ben Haley "Great melodies don't make disciples. A brighter projector doesn't make disciples. An online service with better EQ doesn't make disciples." - Ben Haley "The song book of a church is an indicator of that church's maturity." - Ben Haley "Church music is not a one-way street from an individual to God. It's also something we do with each other and for each other." - Ben Haley "Church leaders are not leaders of nobody. We are leaders of people." - Ben Haley "I can forgive a man for a bad sermon...if he gives me some dim glimpse of the majesty and the glory of God, the love of Christ my savior, and the magnificence of the gospel." - Martyn Lloyd-Jones (quoted by Ben Haley) Scripture References 1 Timothy 4 - "Watch your life and doctrine closely" Ephesians 5:18-19 - "Be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs" Colossians 3:16 - "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly...singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs" Psalm 146 - "Praise the Lord, O my soul" John 10 - Jesus knows his sheep and they know his voice Resources Mentioned Stephen Miller (author referenced regarding worship leadership) Charles Spurgeon (quoted regarding personal worship) Martyn Lloyd-Jones (quoted in opening and closing) Next Steps For worship leaders and tech teams wanting to implement Ben's teaching: Evaluate your personal worship habits and spiritual disciplines Review your church's song selections for biblical content and singability Make an effort to build deeper relationships with congregation members Consider ways to incorporate more Scripture into your worship services   Apply to Join Churchfront Premium Apply to Join Churchfront Pro Free Worship and Production Toolkit Shop Our Online Courses Join us at the Churchfront Conference Follow Churchfront on Instagram or TikTok: @churchfront Follow on Twitter: @realchurchfront Gear we use to make videos at Churchfront Musicbed SyncID: MB01VWQ69XRQNSN
