In this episode of The Wandering Road, we dive into one of the strangest and most hotly debated mysteries of the 20th century: The Dodleston Messages. In 1984, a schoolteacher named Ken Webster claimed to have received a series of bizarre communications through his BBC Micro computer—messages allegedly sent by someone living in the 16th century. What began as a tech glitch soon unraveled into a full-blown paranormal case involving temporal communication, cryptic language, and a mysterious entity known only as “2109.”Was this an elaborate hoax, a poltergeist incident, or actual communication across time? Whether you're a believer in the paranormal or a skeptic who loves a good mystery, this episode will leave you questioning what you think you know about time, reality, and the limits of human understanding.Support the showSOCIAL MEDIATwitter: @TWRoadpodcastIG: twroadpodcastWant to be a guest or share your paranormal experiences? It started with hearing her sister's voice, footsteps, and a slamming door… when her sister wasn't home. Years later, after demolishing an old house and building a new one on the same lot, the activity picked up again: mysterious objects moving, a lone black sock appearing from nowhere, and a cat that sees what Ashlee can't. Is it something tied to the land? A former resident checking in? Or just a curious presence refusing to leave? In this episode, a simple apartment search turns into a terrifying encounter with the supernatural. A woman finds the perfect place in Studio City, only to discover that a spirit with a sinister agenda haunts her new home. Strange things start happening immediately—lights turning on by themselves, objects flying off the walls, and a bone-chilling presence that makes itself known late at night. As the haunting escalates, she learns the terrifying history of the apartment and the tragic events that unfolded there. This story explores the darker side of Los Angeles' glamorous Studio City and the ghosts that refuse to leave.
Restless and wide-awake on a sweltering Indiana night, a college lineman slips into the dorm's dark communal bathroom, stares into a cracked mirror, and dares whatever has stalked him since childhood to finally show its face. The buzzing ceiling light flickers, the air turns ice-cold, and his own reflection dissolves into a vast hallway where a ragged, shirtless boy waits, fists clenched, seething with the same rage coursing through him. For six missing hours, the two charge toward each other in utter silence—until a friend's tap on the shoulder snaps reality back into place. Did he hallucinate…or confront the entity that thrives on his anger? If you have a real ghost story or supernatural event to report, please write into our show or call 1-855-853-4802! A children's minister loses a job opportunity, passes on a used car deal, and watches his mother slip away—all in a single six-month stretch. Then a “wrong” vehicle purchase saves his family in a drunk-driver collision, an attorney friend appears with a perfectly timed job offer, and two no-cost legal documents arrive just before both parents pass. In this episode, we trace Joey's winding path through layoffs, wrecks, and loss to reveal a pattern so precise it feels scripted by an unseen hand. Coincidence—or proof that every detour is a divine setup? Most kids worry about the boogeyman in the closet—our caller's first house came with a fully accessorized boogey-gentleman in a top hat who liked to wander through the bathroom during bath time. From there things only got weirder: a glowing Victorian toddler who thought 3 a.m. was perfect for a slumber-party shoulder tap, locked doors that unlock themselves, and an invisible linebacker who can body-check you into drywall without even buying you dinner first. Add in a brick-walled creek, teleporting toys, and parents whose idea of comfort is “Sweetie, that's probably just your guardian angel,” and you've got the kind of childhood that preps you for either stand-up comedy or a lifetime of night-lights. What happens to a place soaked in centuries of misery, violence, and death? The Old City Jail in Charleston, South Carolina, operated from 1802 until 1939, and left behind more than just a dark legacy. Tour guide manager Andrew Kuhn discusses the jail's grisly past, including the brutal treatment of inmates, Civil War prisoners, and 19th-century pirates. At the center of it all is Lavinia Fisher—believed by some to be America's first female serial killer—whose final words still echo through the cellblocks. Visitors claim to see her spirit wandering the halls, answering from beyond the grave in chilling EVP recordings. From cold spots and disembodied whispers to full-body apparitions, this place doesn't just remember its past… it relives it. During a sweltering 2018 visit to a coastal Mexican town, a young mother realizes her six-year-old son Lorenzo—named for his great-grandfather—still carries an unsettling gift: the ability to see what others can't. Night after night the family's borrowed Chihuahua barks at an empty kitchen doorway, and Lorenzo wakes in terror, claiming a blood-streaked man looms beside the threshold. So many deaths have taken place at the Adolphus Hotel that it should be nicknamed "The Death Hotel." This historic luxury hotel in Dallas was named for a beer magnate and was once one of the grandest hotels in the Southwest. The entertainment hosted here was top tier with a long list of popular entertainers from various eras. And the Adolphus had the honor of hosting Queen Elizabeth II in the 1990s. The hotel today is still a luxury hotel located in the heart of downtown Dallas that has great food, drinks, a spa and...a few ghosts. Join us for the history and hauntings of the Adolphus Hotel! The Moment in Oddity features Frank Lentini and This Month in History features the adoption of the Great Seal of the Unites States. Our location was suggested by Lori Gunter. In the skies over Sweden, Norway, and Finland, a new mystery emerges: dozens, hundreds, of rocket-like objects streak through the air. No known nation claims responsibility. From ancient sky wars to modern close encounters, each episode takes listeners on a journey through some of the most mysterious and compelling cases in human history. Whether it's a well-documented military sighting or an eerie village legend whispered across generations, Brief Encounters delivers each story with atmosphere, depth, and cinematic storytelling. Episodes are short and binge-worthy perfect for curious minds on the go. In just 5 to 10 minutes, listeners are pulled into carefully researched accounts that blend historical context, eyewitness testimony, and chilling details. Jon Herold and Burning Bright are joined by Ghost for an electric episode exploring the accelerating unraveling of the mainstream narrative. They break down Candace Owens' shift against Trump, Thomas Massie's constitutional objections to Trump's Iran strike, and the establishment's collective meltdown over narrative control. The hosts highlight the changing public mood, from war fatigue to distrust in legacy media, while dissecting Trump's strategy of minimal, effective force and public messaging designed to expose media hypocrisy. Ghost brings the fire as they discuss the spiritual and psychological shift of the American people, pointing out how coordinated fear campaigns are collapsing under the weight of their own contradictions. They revisit key themes like controlled opposition, fifth-generation warfare, and the optics of regime change, tying them to the broader awakening playing out in real time. With a mix of humor, analysis, and righteous frustration, the crew challenges listeners to abandon black-and-white thinking and recognize the complex, often theatrical nature of global politics.

This week, Amy and Megan dive headfirst into one of the darkest and most disturbing Dead Files episodes yet: Season 10, Episode 1 – “Taken.” Set in Mahwah, New Jersey (which yes, is north of NYC—who knew?!), this case features shadow people, child spirits, and one truly unnerving ghost bear creeping through the house… on tiptoes. The haunting centers on Jen, her husband Gary, and their four kids. What starts as “we think the house might be haunted” quickly escalates into “multiple demonic entities are trying to possess our children.” It's heavy, it's heartbreaking, and somehow we still find time to make jokes about Switzerland, snack breaks, and John Candy.Topics include:
We begin this week with an especially terrifying creature from Indonesia known as the Pontianak . Dan will share the lore of the Pontianak and then a handful of supposed modern encounters with this vengeful, angry, female, vampiric spirit. Next, Dan shares Ontario, Canada's Baldoon Mystery. A good ol' fashioned poltergeist story with a very strange twist from the 19th century. For stories three and four, Lynze brings us a ouija board double whammy, unintentionally. Her first story is one we can all relate to at the start as we begin by sleeping in the basement. Then, a family has a bizarre connection to Charles Manson and he brings some paranormal horror to their lives! Scared To Death Merch: Exciting new merch is up in the store! As Christmas of 1995 drew near, many families in rural Ohio drew closer and felt themselves caught up in the joy and pagentry of the holiday season. Unfortunately, for one family, the holiday would forever be associated with pain and grief, loss and doubt, a disappearance and the unknown.John and Shelly Markley were devoted and loving parents to their five children. During a week already marked by a family tragedy, John and Shelly mysteriously vanished on the morning of Friday, December 15th. The last sighting of the couple was made by a bank teller who waited on them at the drive up window. In addition to John and Shelly, the woman saw a third individual, a man who has never been identified.Investigators found themselves caught up in a case with just one witness, almost no physical evidence and few in any clues. As the case unfolded, detectives would learn a lot about John and Shelly and everyone else in their lives. Within weeks an unknown caller began ringing the family home, demanding cash in exchange for the return of the missing couple and that would take the investigation in a completely different direction.Nearly thirty years later, what became of John and Shelly remains a mystery and while law enforcement is certain there are people locally who know much more than they have shared, the case continues growing cold.Use promo code "Trace" to save 10% on your ticket for CrimeCon DenverFollow Trace Evidence on Social MediaTwitter --- Instagram --- TikTok --- YouTube --- Like Facebook Page --- Join Facebook Group --- Threads --- Like MeWe Page --- Join MeWe Group --- BlueskySuppport Trace EvidencePatreon --- Paypal --- Cash App --- Buy Me A CoffeeTrace Evidence Merch ShopsTeePublic --- ShopTEPod --- SpreadshopAll Other LinksOfficial Trace Evidence Website --- LinkTreeMusic Courtesy of:"Lost Time" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/"Echoes of Time" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/"Galactic Rap" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/"Ghost in the Algorithm" Music from Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio#truecrimepodcast #unsolvedmysteries #coldcase #coldcaseinvestigation #murder #murdermystery #missingperson #missingpersons #truecrimecommunity #mysterypodcast #truecrime #coldcasefiles #truecrimestories #crimelovers #truecrimeaddict #truecrimejunkie #crimescene #justiceforall #missing #crimesquad #podcastcommunity #sleuthsunite #darkhistories #criminalmindset #detective #detectivediaries #forensics #forensicfiles #crimestories #crimepodcast #traceevidence #traceevidencepodcast #criminalinvestigation #justiceforvictims #detectivework #truecrimediscussion #podcastfamily #listenandsolve #crimefans #listentotraceevidence #uncoverthetruth #podcastrecommendations #podcastlove #podcastlife #truecrimeobsessed #followtheclues #cluefinders #podcastaddict #unsolvedmurders #unsolveddisappearances #detectiveatheart #jointheinvestigation #disappearance #vanishing #abduction #gonemissing #upandvanished #pacheco #stevenpacheco #podcasting #crimetalk #crimeanalysis #theories #realcrimes #disappeared #evidence #markley #johnmarkley #shellymarkley #trumbullcounty #OhioUnsolved #Ohiotrucrime #bristolville #farmington #warren #DurstBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/trace-evidence--3207798/support.
When an inquisitive teen cracks out a Ouija board, she doesn't just open a conversation—she rips the front door off a nightmare that follows her for decades. The board insists a long-dead father drowned his children in a “river” on the property—yet the family swears there's only pasture and three quiet ponds… until a forgotten, brick-walled creek bed surfaces in the weeds. Is it the land, the house, or her that the dead refuse to leave? If you have a real ghost story or supernatural event to report, please write into our show or call 1-855-853-4802! In this episode, we follow one listener through a lifetime of strange encounters—from an unexplained insomnia cured by bursts of light to a terrifying trip through Devil's Hollow, where something unseen stirred on the bridge. But it doesn't stop there. A housekeeper's routine is turned upside down when a spirit starts critiquing her pillowcase technique and bedspread folds. Whether it's a warning from a long-dead witch or a ghost who just likes their blanket tucked a certain way, one thing is clear: sometimes the afterlife has very specific expectations. A long-distance romance seems harmless—until late-night Skype calls unleash something neither screen can contain. From chairs creaking on camera and water bottles squeezing themselves, to unseen hands ripping sheets off a sleeping girlfriend 2,000 miles away, every click of the microphone feeds a presence that stalks both sides of the call. Is it the incubus she once met as a child, the spirit of her late father, or a darkness that piggy-backed through pixels when the couple traded ghost stories? This episode explores whether the modern web can carry an ancient curse, and what happens when “logging off” isn't enough. After a divorce uproots their family, three brothers move with their overworked dad into a ramshackle Victorian in tiny Doylestown, Ohio—only to discover the same shadow-man that haunted their previous house waiting in the floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Disembodied whispers, phantom screams that save them from a house fire, and furniture that hurls itself at terrified guests turn everyday life into a gauntlet of dread. This family doesn't inherit jewelry—they inherit hauntings. It starts with a lovestruck American who stuffs his Mexican bride into a laundry bag, braiding together two bloodlines steeped in brujería and Masonic mystery. The grandmother whispers prayers over eggs that crack black as ink; a great-uncle slips into glassy-eyed trances, scrawling symbols no scholar can place. And in one dim kitchen, a child forever sees the Bloody Man—an apparition linked to a vigilante justice hidden within the home's walls. Kind, glowing beings try to protect the little one, yet some spectral stains refuse to wash away. This is a daily EXTRA from The Grave Talks. This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! Most of the locations we investigate on The Grave Talks have long since been abandoned, their histories sealed behind broken windows and rusted locks. Kentucky State Penitentiary is the exception. Nicknamed the “Castle on the Cumberland,” this sprawling stone fortress has held prisoners—living and, witnesses claim, otherwise—since 1886. In this episode we step inside an institution that still houses Kentucky's death-row inmates and its active execution chamber, then listen to the stories of guards, wardens, chaplains, and former prisoners who insist they've felt a presence no security camera can capture. Cold drafts linger in rooms with no vents. Footsteps echo along deserted tiers. Voices call out names no longer on the roster. Is it the weight of history pressing on every block—or something determined never to leave? Join us as we explore a place where time, and perhaps the dead, continue to keep watch. Today's Headlines: President Trump called for a ceasefire between Iran and Israel Monday night—then accused both sides of not knowing “what the fuck they're doing” after the ceasefire didn't immediately happen. By Tuesday, a fragile truce emerged, though both sides warned they'd resume attacks if provoked. Trump also abruptly tweeted that China could keep buying Iranian oil—despite his prior threats—after they helped keep the Strait of Hormuz open. Meanwhile, a leaked classified report revealed that U.S. airstrikes only set back Iran's nuclear program by a few months, not the “total obliteration” Trump implied. The White House dismissed the report as inaccurate and “demeaning.” In Florida, construction has started on a bizarre new 1,000-bed immigration detention center—dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz”—deep in the Everglades, where escapees would allegedly face only pythons and gators. Toy prices are spiking due to tariffs on Chinese goods, rising faster than inflation. At the same time, nearly 2 million student loan borrowers may soon see wage garnishment as Trump-era loan collections ramp back up. House Democrats elected Rep. Robert Garcia as their new ranking member on the Oversight Committee, while the late Rep. Gerry Connolly's official account mysteriously posted an endorsement from beyond the grave. Check into Castle Plunkett for a supernatural comedy that mashes together horny ghosts, Irish folklore, and peak ‘80s weirdness: High Spirits! Commissioned by Sydney in Texas—lover of Beetlejuice, Elvira, and men of questionable taste—this forgotten flick from 1988 boasts an absurdly stacked cast: Steve Guttenberg, Daryl Hannah, Beverly D'Angelo, Peter O'Toole, Jennifer Tilly, and a young Liam Neeson playing a ghostly creep. Gene and Big D dive into a movie that's half Scooby-Doo, half ghost-sex fever dream. They explore the film's jarring tonal shifts, from slapstick hauntings to surprisingly dark (and wet) ghost lore, complete with a mermaid musical battle and “skelping”—a euphoric ghost-human contact that raises some ethical eyebrows. Is High Spirits an underrated gem or a tonal trainwreck haunted by studio meddling? Would Jack have stayed loyal to his ghost bride if she kept her crumbling corpse form? And why are the castle's real ghosts so damn lazy? Strap into your flying bed, pour a spooky drink, and join us for an episode packed with laughs, lusty spirits, and longing for the Japanese director's cut. In this episode we are taking a look at a strange case from the UK in 1973 known as the Sandown Clown, first getting into some strange UFO sightings before hearing the tale as reported to the British UFO Research Association. We'll then discuss some theories as to just what the hell could have been lurking in Sandown back in 1973. Alien? Robot? Ghost? Or just a run of the mill creepy clown? In Episode 102 of Breaking History, Ghost delivers a scathing, unfiltered analysis of today's political landscape, from Joe Biden's unraveling presidency to the establishment's panicked response to Trump's return. With sharp commentary on the show trial atmosphere surrounding the Biden mental fitness probe and the mainstream media's shifting tone, Ghost highlights the controlled demolition of the old guard and the acceleration of narrative warfare. He dives into NATO's realignment under Trump, the strategic logic behind the Iran strike, and how the psyop machinery is working overtime to confuse, mislead, and divide. Ghost breaks down the historic implications of current events, likening this pivotal moment to previous American awakenings, and lays out how narratives, more than bullets, are driving global transformation. He also touches on GITMO, Project Veritas, and the importance of emotional intelligence in resisting propaganda. From fake AI warfare to false flags and domestic psyops, this episode reinforces that we are witnessing a war for perception, and Ghost arms his audience with the clarity and context to see through the fog.

This week, our inbox serves up a story that had us shaking our heads more than nodding. Someone writes in to tell us about the time their friend pulled what they called a “genius” revenge stunt on his cheating girlfriend. But when the dust settles, our hosts aren't buying the mastermind narrative—and in fact, they think this so-called genius move might've crossed a line (or three). Was it clever? Was it cathartic? Or was it just plain messed up? Tune in as we unpack what actually makes for satisfying revenge, why getting even isn't always as sweet as it seems, and the very fine line between justice and petty chaos.

Apologetics in the Orthodox Church has undergone a remarkable transformation. What was once "the world's best kept secret" now flourishes in digital spaces, revealing both opportunities and challenges for those communicating the ancient faith.• Proper catechesis is crucial to maintaining authentic Orthodoxy with an American flavor rather than evangelical American Orthodoxy • Online Orthodox presence is substantial, often giving the impression it's larger than it actually is • Most Orthodox online voices are deeply committed to church life rather than being "terminally online" critics • Young men attending Saturday vespers and other services show the appeal of traditional worship • Orthodox churches are becoming more accessible across America, though some inquirers still live hours from parishes • Different apologetic approaches reach different people, and we should assume the best in those defending the faith • Resources like Father Paul Truebenbach's YouTube series and Patristic Nectar offer excellent catechesis • All Orthodox Christians are perpetual catechumens, constantly learning from the Church's 2,000-year tradition Join Ben “Orthodox Luigi” and Jeremy Jeremiah (of Cloud of Witnesses Radio) as we dive into the beautiful diversity of Orthodox apologetic approaches. Some people respond to straightforward, firm communication while others need gentleness and compassion. These differences aren't accidental but providential – God works through varied voices to reach people exactly where they are. Yet this diversity raises important questions about maintaining authentic Orthodox identity while speaking to American audiences. The conversation addresses common criticisms of online Orthodox presence. Far from being "terminally online," many digital apologists demonstrate deep commitment to liturgical life. Young men choosing vespers over Saturday night entertainment exemplifies this dedication. For those without nearby parishes, these online connections provide essential lifelines to the faith. Orthodox apologetics requires both grace and proper catechesis. Those defending the faith make themselves vulnerable to criticism simply by speaking up. Meanwhile, excellent resources like Father Paul Truebenbach's YouTube series and Patristic Nectar's materials complement parish-based instruction. Whether recently illumined or long-standing members, we remain perpetual learners in the Church's 2,000-year tradition. Have you encountered Orthodox Christianity online? How has it shaped your understanding of the faith? Share your experience and join the conversation about how different voices reach different hearts with the unchanging truth.
