Where does humanity spring from? Dare to journey with us, Joe Landry and Laurie Oldford, as we unravel the mystery of our origins. We unfold the curtain on the Big Bang theory, evolution, and the tantalizing prospect of an ancient alien theory. From exploring the intricacies of our DNA to the enigmatic Biblical accounts, we present a balanced debate, where faith meets science and mythology intertwines with history.Dive into the provocative world of Sumerian mythology, and the biblical account of Adam's creation. Find yourself engrossed in our discussions on the possible interpretations of Yahweh as a 'flesh-and-blood' entity and its implications. Accompany us as we probe into the advances of human DNA manipulation, and its potential link to the Rh-negative blood type. As we dissect the Genesis creation story, we challenge the conventional belief of God as a spirit and propose the disruptive hypothesis of DNA being the proof of our creation. Our exploration doesn't end there. Prepare to question the comfort of known truths as we shed light on the mystery of human chromosomes and our genetic makeup. Could there have been an unknown, intelligent force manipulating our genes, pushing us towards our current form much faster than natural selection alone? Could we be the product of a grand design, our intellect being a gift from a higher, possibly extraterrestrial entity? Join us in this intellectual adventure, as we challenge conventional beliefs and uncover mysteries of human origins. Let's see if we can decode the enigma that is humanity, together."Space Journey" by Geoff HarveyCopyright © 2021 Melody Loops LPFull License Royalty-Free Music https://www.melodyloops.com Support the showVisit our website
In this week's episode, we unearthed our Gen 2 iPad and traveled back to the decade that many rock n' rollers call the “dark decade”. That's right! We are listening to obscure tracks from the previous decade of the 20-Teens; when Gaga wore a meat dress, we were introduced to Instagram, Indie Rock became a genre, we all got challenged with ice buckets, the host of The Apprentice got elected, and some really great rock n' punk n' metal!New to InObscuria? It's all about digging up obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal from one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. In this episode we talk about the lost and forgotten gems of the 10s. A decade where music became a true commodity as streaming surpassed all physical and digital media as the way we consume our tunes.Songs this week include:The Bronx - “Style Over Everything” from The Bronx (IV) (2013)Fair To Midland - “Whiskey & Ritalin” from Arrows & Anchors (2011)Rozwell Kid - “Baby's First Sideburns” from Good Graphics EP (2015)The Human Project - “Anti-Pathetic” from Origins (2013)Graveyard - “Buying Truth (Tack Och Förlåt)” from Hisingen Blues (2011)The Carburetors - “Lords Of Thunder” from Laughing In The Face Of Death (2015)Psychopunch - “Long Time Coming” from The Last Goodbye (2010)X Japan - “Born To Be Free” from Born To Be Free – Single (2015) Please subscribe everywhere that you listen to podcasts!Visit us: https://inobscuria.com/https://www.facebook.com/InObscuriahttps://twitter.com/inobscuriahttps://www.instagram.com/inobscuria/Buy cool stuff with our logo on it!: https://www.redbubble.com/people/InObscuria?asc=uCheck out Robert's amazing fire sculptures and metal workings here: http://flamewerx.com/If you'd like to check out Kevin's band THE SWEAR, take a listen on all streaming services or pick up a digital copy of their latest release here: https://theswear.bandcamp.com/If you want to hear Robert and Kevin's band from the late 90s – early 00s BIG JACK PNEUMATIC, check it out here: https://bigjackpnuematic.bandcamp.com/

Dr. James Garvin is the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Chief Scientist, currently focused on two main projects - massive terrestrial impacts, and the mysteries hidden beneath the clouds of Venus. Based off of lunar and Martian observations, Garvin believes that our models for the history of impacts on Earth might be nowhere near severe enough. Then there's also the ambitious DAVINCI mission to Venus, which will launch in 2029 with the goal of getting a glance under Venus' thick cloud atmosphere for the first time since the Soviet Venera landers of the 1970s. We talk impacts, solar system formation, oddities of tectonic activity in the solar system, and the twin history of Venus and Earth. Welcome to episode #64 of Entrepreneur Mindset-Reset. I'm so happy to be bringing you another incredible conversation with today's guest, Arnaud Saint-Paul, of Tapuat, an organization that believes every leader should have the opportunity to choose a direct path toward more harmony and alignment in their lives so that they can fulfill their heart vision. I so enjoyed talking with Arnaud and hearing his insights on leadership and personal growth. Arnaud is a software, finance and social impact entrepreneur who splits his time between LA and Paris, with lots of adventures in-between. He shares his philosophy, which is that when we open our hearts, we find harmony, and that leadership is all about listening. You won't want to miss when he talks about how an imbalance of masculine and feminine energies can create restrictiveness, and what that can do to our success. Tapuat teaches the “heart full” method, which helps people tap into the big potential of their hearts. What I loved learning is that even though sometimes it can sound a little “woo” when we talk about energies, his philosophy is grounded in science and understanding of how we function as humans. At Tapuat, they use a science-backed method to help people and businesses focus on the positive aspects of their lives that will make them happy, successful and abundant, and allow them to fulfill their highest potential. Arnaud is author of two books, a manifesto “I, the book” and “the Human Project”, and once you've listened to our conversation, I'm certain you'll want to learn more. Links to find everything you need to know are in the show notes. So, you know what it's time to do: grab a beverage or a snack and settle-in to listen to Arnaud and his amazing journey. Bio: As a philanthropist and award-winning serial software, finance, and social impact entrepreneur for more than 20 years, living between Los Angeles and Paris, Arnaud went through his awakening when 13. While having a successful career in Finance and Technology across continents, he has been traveling throughout the world to study the different religions and philosophies in his relentless quest to understand himself. His life purpose is now to open billions of hearts and help them find harmony inside and out. Andy speaks on these topics internationally at universities, conferences, churches, prisons, and coffee shops. Andy is originally from Portland, Oregon and currently lives in Abbotsford, British Columbia with his wife, Nancy, and their boys.Ministry Description:When Andy Steiger and his wife, Nancy founded Apologetics Canada in 2010, they were motivated to stop the exodus of young people leaving the church. God however had much more in store. This generation of young people both Christians and non-Christians alike, have questions and are seeking truth. The challenge in Western culture is communicating the message of Jesus in a way that people can understand and appreciate. Sharing the gospel requires us all to understand and speak the language of culture and address the questions being asked with intellectual honesty, gentleness and respect. When we do this in the love and winsomeness of Christ Jesus, lives are impacted and culture is changed. Today we go to the rotten near future as we watch Alfonso Cuarón's 2006 dystopian sci-fi action film, Children of Men. Children of Men brings us into the near future of 2027 where the human race faces extinction as the entire globe has destabilized and infertility has prevented any new births for 18 years. Now a man finds hope as he becomes responsible for the future of the species when a young pregnant woman becomes his responsibility and he must find their path to humanity's last remaining hope, the Human Project. Starring Clive Owen, Clare-Hope Ashitey, Julianne Moore, Michael Caine, and Chiwetel Ejiofor, this flick had lots going for it and, despite its box office failure, was a critical hit. But, does it hold up? Listen in as Jon, Colin, and Brent debate the obvious benefits of sterility as we see if Cuarón's baby gives us hope or shits itself.
Joe Dimuantes is a talented multi-instrumentalist who's been part of the Leeds/Keighley music scene for many years. He drums in post-hardcore band Sounds of Swami and bass in revered skate-punks The Human Project. The latter band hit pause before lockdown, but Sounds of Swami are actively writing and recording right now, working on a follow up to 2017's Furniture for Modern Living. Joe and I sat down in August and has a chat about how the world was growing after the weight of lockdowns and the absence of live music. We had a reflective conversation on a rainy Sunday afternoon, covering the benefits of slowing down and taking a break from music, the wild memories we have of nu-metal and ska-punk bands of the past, and the oppressive heat and sticky floors of punk shows. We had a lengthy conversation about Random Hand because, apparently, I can't resist it. Joe also gave us an insight into the future intentions of Sounds of Swami, The Human Project and a rather intriguing potential cover band... Sounds of Swami have a brand new track included on the Fugazi charity compilation put together by the folks at Ripcord Records. Silence is a Dangerous Sound: A Tribute to Fugazi is out now - it's an incredible, wide-ranging project featuring Fugazi covers from 43 bands. Big-name contributors include Shai Hulud, Authority Zero, La Dispute and Belvedere ... plus a band called Couch Slut, which has me intrigued. Be sure to check out the compilation. Big shout out to The Parish in Huddersfield - an excellent venue that's a must-visit if you find yourself in the north. Shoutouts also to Random Hand, Lightyear and Lockjaw Records' Black Lives Matter compilation who feature heavily in the conversation. Interviews, reviews, articles and more: shout-louder.com. Amy talks with Dana Stiles and Shayna Cornelius, co-founders and CEOs of DayLuna. Dana and Shayna share a little about what human design is and how they launched their own human project of bringing the science of human design to others. They talk too about how the way we view fate vs. destiny can help us overcome paralysis in starting a human project. These vibrant women share some great insights and reminders of how we each are truly designed to live a life of choice – as our highest selves.More about DayLuna and Human Design:- www.daylunalife.com- www.instagram.com/d.a.y.l.u.n.a/- www.facebook.com/daylunalifeConnect with The Encourage Project community! How did I get here? How did we get here? And where the F am I going? Where are we going? These are the questions this episode of the podcast ponders as we take the metaphor that humanity is having a mid-life crisis and can either turn inward to develop further or make the mistake of continuing to project outwards. I read an essay I wrote and set it up with a clip from the late, great Alan Watts, as well as referencing an excellent article by Dutch economist and futurist Rutger Bregman. And last, chapters 11 and 12 from book 4 of "The Teacher and the Tree Man." Last, consider supporting my work on my Patreon page!

we have crossroads in life, and sometimes the path we take will dictate the way how the rest of our life flows. today wes and ryan spoke with amy bleuel, founder of project semicolon on the importance of choice. you are choosing to pause and state that your story isn't over yet; you're continuing on. when we make the choice to help others instead of just focusing on ourselves, we find a bigger purpose. we find love. when we create tangible reminders, we find power in what we are capable of as we shift self-destructive patterns to a simplicity of helping others. it's the ultimate hope that if they can push on, so can i; some of the experiences we face are preparing us for something greater later on. this forms a pay it forward mentality to help others as they have helped you because you know that there is something better coming up. links to check out: project semicolon about amy bleuel amy clover, A HUMAN PROJECT podcast about how it's ok to ask for help google images of ; why faith-based? elizabeth gilbert, ted talk on creative genius modules from superhuman.life
was today really a good day? did the gays really win? today we had a ruling that will forever change the landscape of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. in this episode we talk about today's ruling and what we should be bracing for in the future. sanctity of marriage hasn't always been a government thing, it's been a religious thing but now there's a difference between holy matrimony and the union of marriage because the government approves of someone's humanity. it's about having the right kind of conversation. are we celebrating victims or an act that should never have been an issue in the first place? love didn't win today; the law won. the greatest strength we can take from this is to learn to love and move forward by starting a conversation. links to check out: historical event of allowing same sex marriage in all states interracial marriages illegal until last law absolved in 1967 united states declaration of independence that "all men are created equal" A HUMAN PROJECT podcast 2014 convo stopping the hate between christians and gays A HUMAN PROJECT podcast on developing until we're 25 A HUMAN PROJECT podcast about turning boys into men and the castration of the american male A HUMAN PROJECT podcast with kris vallotton modules from superhuman.life
When sharing a message and it comes across as "I'm better than you" rather than look at how much I am loved, feelings of worthlessness and not being good enough take over our self-worth. Religion walks a fine line of condemning sinners and lifting people up to become better than they currently are. Wes and Ryan have a very open discussion on religion and share a few "secrets" (they're really not because it's so simple) that they have been able to use to help lift up others, especially our youth. Perfection is not possible, so instead of shooting for that and continually failing, choose instead to become great. links to check out: 6th crusade which achieved a peaceful decade-long treaty/holy war that was more of a relief effort "the meeting" between mlk jr and Malcolm x A HUMAN PROJECT podcast on human beings not fully developing until the age of 25 The Human Podcast Facebook Page Modules from superhuman.life
emotional castration of the american male is the topic of the day for with justin from stumvoll consulting here at A HUMAN PROJECT. men have lost their masculine edge and will to fight; they don't know what it takes to be a healthy, strong man anymore because they are given so many contradictory opinions. the fatherless generation is defined in different forms during the podcast, which now has come of age that those without a fatherly example are becoming fathers or father figures and yet have no guidance. it's about leading people back to the concept of what love is all about. when there's a reconciliation of the worth and value as a man, it allows a woman to work as a partner with him as it brings out the gold inside of her and what she was made to be, and vice versa. what if there was a masculine movement instead of a feminist one that declared from men that women deserve a voice and share her authentic self with the world as well? what kind of leaders, both male and female, would we have then? the most manly thing someone can do is to reach that moment of vulnerability and be honest. links to check out: wesley chapman archives from art of charm with jordan harbinger children's book by kim trumbo about george the generous giraffe justin with stumvoll consulting men that helped bring about women's liberation the five love languages by gary chapman prince ea's viral video on healthy relationships by loving one's self first A HUMAN PROJECT podcast on getting rid of the shame on shame modules from superhuman.life
The control we give an experience is on us. "We have two options in life: we can be the victim or the hero."-Wesley Chapman The Cheat Sheet: What was his first entrepreneurial enterprise at the age of 8? Why he was on 25 pills a day until he was 16. What is H cubed and how can you use it in your own life? How comic books inspired him. Why did he meet his biological father at a Toys"R"Us? And so much more... At the age of only seven and a half our guest for this episode was told he would be lucky if he weren't in jail for murder or rape by the time he reached 25. And yet today he is a well-known and successful entrepreneur, husband and father who is helping other youth cope with the same difficulties he experienced as a child and teen. Wesley Chapman is the founder and originator of A Human Project, a for-purpose organization dedicated to helping abandoned, abused and neglected youth get the love and support they deserve. We discuss how vulnerability helped him heal and become not only a survivor of horrific abuse, but a testament to the capacity of the human spirit on this edition of The Art of Charm. Click Here to Support The Show and get 10% off Onnit! More About This Show: Wesley Chapman experienced more horrible events by the age of 16 than most of us do in our entire life. From sexual and mental and physical abuse to abandonment, Wesley experienced all of it as a child. His biological dad abandoned him when he was only a year old and his mom left five and a half years later. A family member took him in when he was eight and he was finally given some stability. As a child and into his teens he was also on many medication to treat the myriad of diagnoses he had been given. From ADD to PTSD to bipolar, he was diagnosed and prescribed something to treat it. Then he needed pills to treat the side effects of those pills, and the side effects of the side effect treatment medicines. All of which took its toll on his health. By the time he was 16 his liver failed and he had two options: get a transplant or hope his liver detoxed in enough time to save his life. His mom took him home, told him how he could detox and initially he resisted. But he turned to prayer and made a deal with God: if he did the detoxification, got off all the pills and God got him through it, Wesley would give to him in return. And it worked: Wesley detoxed, stopped his meds, lived through several days of nightmarish drug withdrawals and came out the other side with more clarity than he had ever had. With that clarity he finally understood he was allowing his abusers, some of whom weren't even in his life any longer, to run the show. He took responsibility, stopped being a victim and decided he wanted to be his own hero. With that honesty, the first of what he now calls his H cubed tool, he could heal his old wounds properly and fully. He understood he couldn't control what happened to him, but he could control how he responded to it. And when he grasped that concept fully he found hope, the last of his H cubed strategy. Wesley is taking his own personal lesson and helping others get honest, heal, and have hope. Though his primary demographic is youth, his programs at A Human Project also apply to adults. He has found immense power in being vulnerable with AHP and audiences in general; he learned how to let go of shame by sharing his story and being transparent in his experiences. He no longer hides what happened to him, and is an open book because he understands how doing so allows other people to work through their own shame, fears, and challenges. Wesley goes into even more detail on this episode, including what it was like when he finally met his biological father and why he does what he does. Please listen and join me in thanking Wesley for his candor, honesty and immense heart. As always, thank you for joining us and we'll see you next time. THANKS WESLEY CHAPMAN! what would happen if you were given an opportunity for something life-changing but you missed out because you didn't answer your phone after not recognizing the number? how many instances do we miss out on events in life because we're not willing to open the door or answer the phone? but then, tender mercies sometimes appear in the form of a second chance when it is something that is a deep part of our life's purpose. such was the case for wes after eating a bad fajita. links to check out: unbroken movie A HUMAN PROJECT podcast on second chances in life #iamunbroken movement chickenpox keeps angelina jolie from movie premiere unbroken the book "fake it until you make it" concept spirit of ww2 A HUMAN PROJECT podcast about being real with yourself modules from superhuman.life

is it possible for a person with one skin pigment to talk about another person with a different skin pigment and not be considered racist? why are we still plagued with a person's skin color being their only definition or identity? it's stopping society from having a conversation. we find a situation where a few do something that we categorize all as their belief, and it doesn't allow progress from happening. especially once we see race before the individual. if we could help heal humans from labeling, we can help others from feeling oppressed, inferior, and entitled to act the way they do. everybody thinks everybody else has more privileges than others, but if we get rid of the entitlement, we can move forward. links to check out: redskins football team controversy over name paula deen was baited to have said the "n" word on interview A HUMAN PROJECT podcast on stereotypes and labeling A HUMAN PROJECT podcast in which we are all racist, even the victims of racism A HUMAN PROJECT podcast on the 2014 black friday pop vs soda map $2.50/day average living throughout the world for a family of four remember the titans, "left side, strong side" A HUMAN PROJECT podcast with chad nash A HUMAN PROJECT podcast on communication modules from superhuman.life other interesting links & references by Natalie while taking an english methods course to attain my bachelor's degree, I came upon a statement about understanding vs. agreeing, paraphrased as "we all need to understand, but that doesn't mean that we also need to agree." just because we understand something doesn't mean that we agree with what that person is doing, but it does provide clarity. based on a true story, in the movie freedom writers, hilary swank's character is able to eventually bring her students together by starting a messy conversation. if I were to give you an action step, i'd say go watch freedom writers in its entirety before following through on wes and ryan's action steps. are you the type of person that likes to have leftovers? what about the figurative type of leftovers, like toxic relationships that keep coming back? like ray rice's domestic violence? but what about leftovers in the form of getting a second chance after making a mistake by picking up the pieces? if done correctly, everyone deserves a second chance. ray rice has an opportunity to admit that domestic violence is a real issue and needs to be addressed so that all that energy is going towards change in the right direction. making a comeback is a good thing, and it teaches others that they can change their path. if we remain victims, we will never heal. links to check out: A HUMAN PROJECT podcast on ray rice and domestic violence nfl roger goodall botching domestic violence by crucifying ray rice A HUMAN PROJECT podcast on shame and talking about michael vick getting over it second chance program mission statement battered woman syndrome psa from nfl players at nomore.org "it's something hard to talk about." put a band aid on it. here's a pill. quick solutions never really solve core issues that we as humans deal with on a daily basis. human nature wants to feel better, but a band aid isn't going to heal the hurt. we as humans want justice so it's no longer on our minds without going through the rehabilitation that is needed to fully heal. everyone handles things differently, but could it be from the onslaught of youtube videos that show all the hate and negativity that has desensitized us as a society to the point that these perversions of human behavior occur? wes declared that we can start a change by taking a step back; focus on communicating and truly listening to communities. links to check out: “A HUMAN PROJECT podcast about the phrase "like a girl" father who beat 2 year old daughter to death gets sentenced winston churchill biography and youtube short on how important it is for the youth to learn about such an amazing man jamie lee curtis article on being true to yourself by not allowing her pictures to be photo-shopped “be the change you want to see in the world” –mahatma gandhi quote modules from superhuman.life
