Today on the Free Outside Podcast, I talk with Connor “Jackrabbit” Chapdelaine, who's attempting the Calendar Year Triple Crown—thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, and Continental Divide Trail all in a single year. We break down how the idea got planted during a hike on the AT, what it takes to train for 8,000 miles, and why he's bringing a pillow, a stove, and maybe even a thermos.Follow Connor/Jackrabbit online: https://www.instagram.com/JackrabbitHikes/Connor shares his strategy for navigating snow in the Sierra, reroutes on the PCT, and fires on the CDT—plus his plan to survive town stops without spending his entire budget. What should we make of the latest Jackrabbit victories in the State-U basketball series after a pair of riveting games? On this week's "Nobody's Listening Anyway" with John Gaskins and Matt Zimmer break down the SDSU men's trouble against USD's full-court press, Jacks coach Eric Henderson's teaching touch, the Coyotes' impressive climb back from the abyss via the up-tempo identity Eric Peterson established, and if the SDSU women's 60-game league win streak is more a product of Aaron Johnston's genius or a lack of worthy competition (hint: both). Then, a fun potpourri of topics — Pat Mahomes vs. John Rocker, the USA-Canada fistacuffs, SNL's 50th Anniversary show, and Netflix making its move to take over NFL Sundays.
Send us a textFor this episode of Brewstilled, I'll be recapping episode 6 of Apple TV's Severance season 2. For episode 6 we saw another trippy episode with wild moments of the reintegration process from Marks perspective. We also saw the revelations of 2 potential spies for Lumon who are targeting the outtie versions of Mark and Irvin. We also saw developments in the Mr. Milchick story arc. As the love triangle, we saw that evolve into something much bigger that goes beyond a triangle. For Irvin, he had dinner with Burt and his husband. Yet, Burt might be someone Irvin's outtie may need to be aware of as a prospective threat. This episode also had mind blowing ending for Marks story arc. I'll discuss this and more here on Brewstilled with an English Ale from Jackrabbit as the beer pairing.
