Whether at groceries stores, gas stations or online banking, self-service is a nearly unavoidable aspect of daily life. For many, using apps to order food and book flights is efficient and cheap. But the there is no shortage to the frustrations that come along with automated phone calls or trying to find the right produce code at the grocery checkout. Has self check-out made your life better or worse? And in the second hour, whether it's Canada Post, Donald Trump or working out screen time with your kids, life is a negotiation. We spoke to an expert on negotiating to help you resolve conflicts and get the deal done.
We so often find ourselves asking others, "How are you?"—a common gesture of care and connection. Yet, how often do we pause to ask ourselves the same question? This 10-minute meditation is an opportunity to turn inward and check in with yourself. To gently ask, "How am I doing? How am I feeling? What do I need?" and to really listen to the answer. Through this practice, you will be guided to connect with your body, mind, and heart, offering yourself moments of introspection to discover what you truly need right now. This meditation is about honoring yourself—checking in, accepting yourself fully, and providing the care you deserve. Not because you've earned it, but simply because you are worthy of it.With love, Jo ✨www.azenmindpodcast.com ⭐ Join My Email List

Ask yourself a few quick questions:-Do I spend more time thinking about money… or about God?-Do I feel more security from my money and investments… or from trusting God to provide for me?-If my assets were stolen, what would my reaction be?If you find that you are trusting money for your sense of safety and security more than God…There's a quick fix.Shift your thinking to trust in Him more! In this this solo episode, originally aired in April 2024, Karen shares the Importance of Slowing down to Speed up.This truly can be applied anywhere in life and have benefits, however she focuses on our Mindset, Strategic Account mapping and preparing for discovery in the sales environment. Starting with us first, look inward, take control of how we show up. Check-in with ourselves first. What do we need? How can we avoid being re-active?How can we take a non traditional approach to assessing our accounts? Looking beyond the title and zooming out. Thinking creatively, considering the person, what would motivate them to be part of your initiative? How are they measured? Finally discovery is strategic. What outcome am I looking for? What information do I require, what questions do I need to ask? When we slow down, we see gaps that perhaps weren't there. Gaps that bleed in to other areas/ departments. We move from finding an isolated issue into solving business challenges, elevating our position from vendor to partner. This does not come to those who do to slow down to assess prior to acting. Checking in with Ourselves (00:01:12)Importance of self-awareness and purpose in sales, with tips for showing up authentically.Strategic Account Planning (00:02:08)Encouragement to think outside the box, expand the traditional approach, and be intentional in account mapping.Conducting Discovery Conversations (00:09:23)Emphasis on slowing down, asking meaningful questions, and building trust to uncover challenges and motivations effectively.Slowing Down for Better Results (00:18:11)Karen discusses the benefits of slowing down, connecting emotionally, and driving results through people rather than relying solely on scorecards.Importance of Self-Check (00:18:11)Karen emphasizes the need to look inward and consider what can be done to slow down in order to speed up for better sales resultsFor more content like this, join hundreds of other subscribers to The K2 Sales Academy. Self Check out; staff it? Paper or plastic, and more.
In today's world, we are looking to reduce the amount of effort that it takes. This is no different from major corporations, and down to smaller companies. As such some companies are looking to implement AI as a method to cut down costs and labor shortages. Germany is in the process of implementing AI age validation as part of their checkout services. There is some good in this and reducing staff or having to have reduced staff. But I could also see the shortfalls of this technology. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/minimalisttechnews/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/minimalisttechnews/support
