Victor Davis Hanson: Corporate Media is the Left's Soviet-Like ‘Propaganda Organ'

Look at some of the recent examples of what is factually accurate vs. what the media says: Trump pressed Cyril Ramaphosa on the “White Genocide” unfolding in his country = Trump ‘Ambushed' South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in the oval office, pushes false claims. Two Israeli embassy employees were shot and killed by a pro-Palestine protester with ties to Left-wing groups = Amid Israeli's ongoing war in Gaza, where thousands have perished, Elias Rodriguez, a Chicago native and activist, shot and killed two Israeli embassy employees. Over the past month, the corporate media, most namely CNN, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, have proven, yet again, that they are a ‘Pravda-like propaganda organ' for Left-wing causes: “We know what you're doing. You're trying to gin up momentum, enthusiasm, for a Left-wing cause that 50% of the population just doesn't support," argues Victor Davis Hanson on this bonus edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words.”

Cohosts Yvette Raphael and Ben Plumley unpick the major news coming out of the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva. – from the new pandemic treaty, to WHO budget and staffing cuts, to increases in membership fees and voluntary contributions. They ruminate on how the current seemingly-unstoppable geopolitical chaos is affecting the ability of global health institutions like the World Health Organisation to deliver – and deliver on what exactly? What can the WHO actually do in such a fractured political climate? They reflect on US Secretary of Health and Human Service's video presentation to the World Health Assembly, which at the very best, can't be called the best example of American power and diplomacy. Which perhaps was the point. They cover a few broader issues Which leads them to a few extra-curricular activities – the diplomatic manner in which South African President Cyril Ramaphosa immediately deflected a bizarre meeting at the US White House, complete with lies, videotape and no offers of jumbo jets. Before hitting Geneva, Yvette was at the European Congress on Obesity and Weight Management in Barcelona delving into the complex interactions between HIV and weight issues. They close out a no holds barred conversation on a recent announcement made by the Global Fund of a new groundbreaking partnership between Mozambique and a Kenyan pharmaceutical company, which they were too coy to name. So Yvette and Ben give the company, United Corporation Ltd of Kenya a big shout out… 00:00 Introduction and Podcast Overview 00:24 Support and Subscription Reminder 00:56 World Health Assembly Recap Begins 01:23 Yvette's European Trip and Obesity Congress 02:02 HIV and Weight Issues Discussion 04:09 Elon Musk's Controversial Comments 08:19 Pandemic Treaty and Global Health Governance 14:32 WHO Budget Cuts and Leadership Changes 18:15 Global South's Role in Health Funding 28:45 China's Growing Influence in Global Health 33:19 Conclusion and Final Thoughts 45:14 Closing Remarks and Acknowledgements

In Episode 119 of Spellbreakers, Matt Trump revisits the explosive issue of South Africa's white Afrikaner population and the rising rhetoric surrounding their fate. Triggered by President Trump's televised challenge to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Matt explores how what was once a fringe concern has erupted into a mainstream, high-stakes topic. He examines the viral “Kill the Boer” chants led by Julius Malema, the ANC's tolerance of racial incitement, and the media's coordinated campaign to label Trump's warnings as “debunked.” Amid video glitches and a self-described technical meltdown, Matt presses forward, linking Boer persecution to global anti-white sentiment, drawing parallels to American racial tensions and DEI politics. He contextualizes the issue within South Africa's colonial history, the legacy of the Boer Wars, and the role of the deep state, from Cecil Rhodes to modern narratives. The episode includes cultural notes on Afrikaner identity, references to boerfraus and farm life, and teases next week's topic on Rhodesia. Spellbreakers 119 is part history lesson, part sociopolitical commentary, and part personal testimony on censorship and narrative control, delivered with Matt's signature mix of introspection, humor, and unease.

What this agreement does is create a new program for the global sharing of pathogen data and samples, on anything that could potentially spark a pandemic. It also makes it so that any pharmaceutical manufacturer that's part of this system now has to give 20 percent of its products for “equitable” distribution. In other news, President Donald Trump met with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa during a press event at the White House. During the talks, Trump raised his concerns that the government in South Africa has not taken strong enough actions to prevent the land seizures and killings of white farmers.Views expressed in this video are opinions of the host and guests, and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Epoch Times.

Friday Focus provides listeners with a focused, half-hour masterclass on the big issues, events and trends driving the news and current events. The show features Janice Gross Stein, the founding director of the Munk School of Global Affairs and bestselling author, in conversation with Rudyard Griffiths, Chair and moderator of the Munk Debates. Rudyard and Janice open the show with Donald Trump's Oval Office meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, where the US President accused his guest of genocide against white farmers. Was this an open display of racism in the White House? And why has the public reaction to this been so muted? Rudyard and Janice agree that Trump - right out of an authoritarian playbook - has created a permissive structure that allows for the breakdown of societal norms and civility. In the second half of the show Rudyard and Janice turn to Canada where Mark Carney released a statement with Keir Starmer and Emanuel Macron criticizing Israel's withholding humanitarian aid to Gaza and threatening consequences should Israel not change course. Most notable here is that the statement did not align with US policy, showing that Canada is moving away from America and building stronger relationships with European allies. And finally, Janice and Rudyard wonder: How are changing demographics within these countries - Canada, France, and the UK - informing policy towards Israel, Gaza, and Palestinian statehood? To support the Friday Focus podcast consider becoming a donor to the Munk Debates for as little as $25 annually, or $.50 per episode. Canadian donors receive a charitable tax receipt. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt firmly pushed back against journalist Yamiche Alcindor during a press briefing, following Alcindor's questioning of President Trump's recent remarks concerning South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and the controversial claim of "white genocide" in South Africa. Leavitt defended the president's position, stating that the administration was committed to raising awareness about human rights concerns wherever they arise and that President Trump was simply responding to reports of violence and land seizures that had garnered international attention. She emphasized that the president's comments should not be interpreted as an indictment of the South African government, but rather as a call for transparency, due process, and the protection of all citizens, regardless of race.Freedom Marketplace: https://freedommarketplace.net The Stack: https://www.toddhuffshow.com/stack-of-stuff Email: todd@toddhuffshow.comPhone: 317.210.2830Follow us on…Instagram: @toddhuffshowFacebook: The Todd Huff ShowTwitter: @toddhuffshowLinkedIn: The Todd Huff ShowTikTok: @toddhuffshowSupport Our Partners:https://www.toddhuffshow.com/partners Links:https://www.mypillow.com/todd Promo Code: TODDhttps://mystore.com/toddhttps://soltea.com - Promo Code TODD for $29.95 off your first orderEaston University - https://www.eastonuniversity.comRed, White, & Brand – TEXT 317-210-2830 for more information.

While Tapper is now reporting on internal stories about Biden's health decline, why did he ignore the story prior to Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 presidential election? Notably, during an interview with Lara Trump, Tapper vociferously denied Joe Biden was experiencing any sort of cognitive decline and suggested that people were merely picking on the then-president for suffering from a life-long stutter. 3:30pm- Tom Homan—Trump Administration Border Czar—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss how the Big Beautiful Bill Act will benefit border security and fulfill President Donald Trump's campaign pledge to stifle illegal border crossings. Today's Headlines: Representative Gerry Connolly of Virginia passed away at 75 from esophageal cancer, just weeks after announcing he would not seek re-election and being named the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee. Meanwhile, President Trump hosted South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, derailing trade discussions by screening a video alleging a white genocide in South Africa—claims Ramaphosa rejected. This comes as the administration continues to deport refugees from numerous countries while welcoming white Afrikaners. Separately, the DOJ has launched a criminal investigation into Andrew Cuomo over his COVID-era decisions as governor, raising suspicions of political motives ahead of his likely NYC mayoral bid against Eric Adams, whose own federal charges were recently dropped. The DOJ also announced it will dismiss police reform consent decrees in Louisville and Minneapolis and rescind earlier findings against the Phoenix Police Department, effectively reversing major civil rights investigations. Finally, a federal judge found the Trump administration in violation of a court order after it deported migrants—most not from South Sudan—to South Sudan, only for the flight to be rerouted to Djibouti, again without legal basis. //The Wire//2300Z May 21, 2025////ROUTINE////BLUF: SOUTH AFRICAN PRESIDENT VISITS WHITE HOUSE. AX ATTACK STRIKES FRANCE, ONE JUVENILE FATALITY. KNIFE ATTACK OCCURS IN AMSTERDAM, MULTIPLE DEAD AND WOUNDED.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-France: Yesterday evening a 14-year-old boy was murdered by an assailant in Nogent-sur-Oise, a small town north of Paris. Local authorities have not released any information regarding the attack, however locals who witnessed the incident state that the assailant murdered the boy with an ax in the parking lot of a grocery store.Netherlands: A stabbing attack was reported in Amsterdam yesterday, resulting in two fatalities, and the wounding of two responding police officers.AC: This situation does not appear to be a random attack, but rather a domestic situation that occurred in an area well known for heavy drug use. As such, the circumstances of the two fatalities are not clear; Dutch authorities have stated that the responding officers did fire their weapons during this incident, however very few details have indicated what actually happened here.-HomeFront-Midwest: Disaster recovery efforts continue throughout the region, following the severe weather systems that have caused devastation throughout the region. Local authorities in St. Louis are investigating their emergency response procedures after a substantial tornado ripped through the downtown metro area on Friday. AC: Today local authorities stated that the city's tornado siren network was not functioning at the time it was needed, resulting in no tornado warnings being sounded. The head of the St. Louis City Emergency Management Agency has been placed on leave after it became clear that the citywide siren system didn't actually work, and possibly had not been operationally tested in decades. Routine tests are normally mandatory, however when asked about it the interim CEMA official (a Fire Captain temporarily appointed to the job while the investigation continues) did not provide a date as to when the system was last tested, other than when it was installed in 1999. From the descriptions of what possibly happened, it sounds like the physical button and/or switch to activate the tornado sirens did not work when officials attempted to activate it.Washington D.C. - This morning South African President Cyril Ramaphosa conducted a state visit to the White House. During the visit, the main point of focus was the domestic situation in South Africa, with President Trump pressing Ramaphosa regarding the concerns of genocide within his nation.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: Despite the smiles and handshakes presented to the media, the state visit by South African leadership did not go well. Though the tone was not as openly hostile as Zelenskyy's infamous visit, the ideas conveyed were equally serious (if not moreso). When President Ramaphosa echoed his previous statements flat-out denying that any genocide was taking place, President Trump's team played various video clips showing evidence that these statements are false. Considering that this audio/visual presentation was pre-arranged (but interestingly, not announced beforehand), the White House probably knew how this situation might go and had planned this meticulously. In short, this visit was probably the White House's attempt to put South African leadership on notice regarding their aspirations for ethnic cleansing. Before the civilizational decline of recent times South Africa was a powerful player in the region, and the White House is probably trying to curb the increasingly exponential rise in cultural violence that is driving South Africa further into a state of decline. Whether or not these efforts will pan out, is anyone's guess.Analyst: S2A1Research: https://publish.obsidian.md/s2underground//END REPORT//
