Don’t be fooled, the fight for the lives of the pre-born doesn’t stop just because the political climate in Washington D.C. changes. On In The Market with Janet Parshall, a regular guest on the program addressed the ongoing battle against the abortion pill that has gone from being an outlier to one of the most widely used means of taking the life of the unborn. He warned us of the inherent danger of this option and why it may be time for this drug to have more government regulation over its distribution and use. Then we took a hard look at the recent massive power outages in Spain and Portugal where millions were without power after a celebration just weeks before in Spain where they touted 100 percent energy from renewable sources. Our climate expert addressed whether this is a neon warning sign to the United States about our own futures if we turn to complete dependance on alternative energy sources and whether or not this is the first major sign of what he calls “the green breakdown”. Is it possible that the anxiety and depression that many believers struggle with is less physical and more spiritually rooted in how our personal relationship with God operates? Our guest explained what an “insecure attachment to God” looks like and how it can have a dramatic impact on our mental wellbeing. She also explained how repairing that connection opens the door for God to share His healing story through our lives as a platform to lift up and encourage others who struggle with their own attachment relationship with Him. We boarded another radio flight to the land down under for more enlightening conversations with our favorite Scottish apologist. He addressed the effort to redefine womanhood in Scotland and whether or not believers should support corporations that support abortion among other thought-provoking topics. We gave you the opportunity to hear from a respected attorney who detailed a recent religious liberty victory out the Chicago Public School system and what the larger scale ramifications of this win means for religious liberty across the country going forward. We also spoke to that man who has turned statistics into powerful tools for ministry as he laid out the findings of this year’s American Worldview Inventory and explained why we are seeing significant faith shifts across the nation. Once again, we invite you to join us for another important discussion of the news of the week through the lens of God’s unchanging truth.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It's Friday, February 21st, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark 10th anniversary of Muslim beheading of 21 Libyan Christians Saturday was the 10th anniversary of when 21 Christians died for their faith in Libya. Islamic State militants beheaded them on February 15, 2015 for refusing to deny Christ. Most of the believers were Egyptian Coptic Christians. Vicky Hartzler with the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom said, “Today, we remember the 21 young men who were brutally murdered by ISIS solely for being Christian. The U.S. government must continue to be an unrelenting voice against violence that targets religious communities, including Coptic Christians.”  In memory of the 21 Christian martyrs, More Productions released a short, 13-minute animated film last year called “The 21.” You can watch it through a special link in our transcript today at TheWorldview.com.  Libya has been in turmoil since 2011 and the overthrow of its then-leader, Col. Muammar Gaddafi. Since then, numerous other militia groups have battled for control. According to Open Doors, Libya is the fourth most dangerous country worldwide in which to be a Christian. 74-year-old pro-life woman arrested for praying outside abortion mill Authorities in Scotland arrested a 74-year-old pro-life woman recently for standing silently outside an abortion mill in Glasgow. Rose Docherty was holding a sign that read, “Coercion is a crime, here to talk, only if you want.” Officials charged her with violating a new “buffer zone” law that limits activities around abortion mills. It's the first arrest under the law.  The arrest comes days after U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance called out European leaders for violating the religious freedom of pro-lifers.  Kash Patel confirmed as FBI Director In the United States, the U.S. Senate confirmed Kash Patel as FBI Director on February 20th, reports The Epoch Times. PRESIDING OFFICER: “The Yeas are 51; the Nays are 49. The confirmation is confirmed.” Senators voted 51–49 to confirm Patel who gained prominence for exposing alleged FBI and Justice Department malfeasance during the Crossfire Hurricane probe into the Trump campaign. Crossfire Hurricane was the code name for the counterintelligence investigation undertaken by the FBI from July 2016 to May 2017, into links between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russia. Republican Senators  Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine crossed the aisle to join Democrats in voting against Patel's nomination. Surprisingly, GOP Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky supported Trump's nominee. Republican Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, age 91, serves as the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Before the vote was cast, he made this last-minute appeal. GRASSLEY: “Mr. Patel has spent his whole career fighting for righteous causes. He's been a public defender, representing the accused against the power of the state. He's been a congressional staffer, investigating the partisan weaponization of our legal system. And he served in key national security roles, protecting Americans from foreign enemies. He's received support from former FBI agents, former federal and state prosecutors, and organizations representing more than 680,000 law enforcement officers. “But Mr. Patel's resume, his accomplishments, aren't why he's the best person for this job. Mr. Patel should be considered our next FBI director because the FBI has been infected by political bias and weaponized against the American people. Mr. Patel knows it. Mr. Patel exposed it. I've got plenty of examples to show what's wrong with the FBI.” Kash Patel wrote the 2024 book entitled, Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy. Military chaplain fired for citing Romans 1 in sermon A Veterans Affairs chaplain is fighting for his religious freedom.  Rusty Trubey served as a chaplain at the Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Pennsylvania. However, Veterans Affairs removed him from his duties for preaching a sermon from Romans 1. The sermon was entitled, “When a Culture Excludes God,” and included homosexuality as an example.  First Liberty Institute and the Independence Law Center are representing Trubey. Last week, they sent a letter to Douglas Collins, the U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs. The letter noted, “This is a systemic problem. We know that you will do the right thing to correct not only the unconstitutional policies at the Coatesville Facility, but also throughout our [Veterans Affairs] system.” 2 Timothy 4:2 says, “Preach the Word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.” U.S. poll: Only 40% believe in God of Bible; 4% have Biblical worldview Dr. George Barna released his latest American Worldview Inventory report. The study found that 46% of Americans agree that there is only one Supreme Spiritual Being who created and rules everything in existence. That number rose to 60% among self-identified Christians.  Dr. Barna noted many have a mix-and-match approach to faith: “The latest research finds that while two-thirds of Americans identify as Christian, only 4% hold a Biblical worldview. Even more alarming, just 40% believe in the God of the Bible, down from 73% three decades ago. Instead, Syncretism—blending elements from multiple worldviews—has become the dominant perspective.” Joshua 24:15 says, “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Meta plans to build 30,000-mile-long sub-sea cable And finally, Meta announced last week it is building the world's largest sub-sea cable. The tech giant is known for its social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.  Under its new plan called Project Waterworth, it will bring industry-leading connectivity around the world. The cable will connect five major continents and measure over 30,000 miles. That's more than the earth's entire circumference! If you've ever thought you view the world differently than others—that has probably never been more true.A new study has revealed a sharp drop in the number of Americans with a biblical worldview. Chad Clark joins us today with his insights.Chad Clark is the Executive Director of FaithFi: Faith & Finance and the co-author of Look at the Sparrows: A 21-Day Devotional on Financial Fear and Anxiety. The State of the Biblical WorldviewRecent findings from the 2023 American Worldview Inventory conducted by Arizona Christian University. This survey, led by Dr. George Barna, polled over 2,000 Americans on topics like marriage, money, and morals. The results were surprising: only 4% of American adults hold a biblical worldview, a percentage that has been on a steady decline. Particularly concerning, just 1% of those under 30 identified with a biblical worldview. The survey further revealed that even among self-identified Christians, only 6% hold a biblical worldview. This means that a significant majority—94%—are influenced more by cultural values than by God's Word. Our Faith Should Transform Our WorldviewWhile these statistics may be disheartening, it's helpful to remember that salvation isn't about having “correct” answers but about grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This faith, rooted in scripture, is meant to shape every aspect of our lives. The Apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” We are called not just to know biblical truth but to be transformed by it daily.Renewal of the mind is a daily journey. Psalm 119 encourages us in this pursuit: “In the way of your testimonies, I delight as much as in all riches... I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.” This verse reminds us that God should be our ultimate treasure, surpassing all earthly riches. At FaithFi, we strive to help Christians view God as their ultimate treasure, particularly in an area where many struggle: money. Worldly values often dictate how we perceive and use money, but as believers, we are called to manage it as stewards of God's resources.A biblical worldview impacts not only our values but also how we handle our finances. FaithFi's mission is to teach, equip, and encourage Christians to allow God's Word to shape their views on money. It's not just about learning financial principles—it's about a transformation of the heart that influences how we manage what God has given us.How You Can Make a DifferenceAs we approach the end of the year, we invite you to partner with us in spreading this message. George Barna recently came out with his American Worldview Inventory 2024, Release #4, where he posted the results of a survey of attendees of evangelical churches. His report includes the following: “Unexpectedly large minorities of adults at evangelical churches reject the biblical nature and character of God (24%), and worship spirits other than God of the Bible (26%)…” “A stunning number – 15% – revealed that they occasionally cast spells on other people.” Why is it that Christians will rant about what the outside world is doing, but once we're confronted with the sin, bondage, occult, and other influences in the church, the lights go out? Mike gets into this and more in this broadcast.

Is the Christian Worldview Actually Leading Kids away from the Faith? (w/ David Richardson) - Ep. 115

Does the concept of worldview have a fatal flaw baked into the premise? Could the Christian worldview possibly be leading kids away from the faith? David Richardson, author of Transparent: How to See Through the Powerful Assumptions That Control You, reveals the shocking origin of this term and challenges the way it is used by almost everyone in our culture. There is an inherent flaw in the term “worldview” that we need to be aware of, and we need to make sure our kids don't fall for it. Those of us who profess a Biblical worldview recognize the underlying concept of absolute truth. However, inherent in the term “worldview” is the idea that the way each individual person views the world is where truth is found. Reality is defined by what we perceive. It is defined by our senses. It is defined by the worldview glasses we choose to put on. So, in other words, reality is defined by our worldview and our worldview is what we choose for it to be. That makes truth subjective, even if our particular worldview maintains that truth is universal. We have to realize that subjectivity is baked into how most people use the term worldview. We're not on the same page. We're not even in the same universe. In this episode, Catherine and Dave dive into the origins of the term worldview, which was a concept coined by the German Philosopher Immanuel Kant. Then Dave encourages parents to adopt a more nuanced and effective approach based on assumptions rather than rigid and subjective worldviews.  Looking ahead, the podcast promises to delve deeper into the three primary assumption types and their implications for navigating diverse beliefs and perspectives. By equipping parents with a fresh way to engage with differing worldviews, the upcoming episode aims to empower listeners to guide their children's faith journey with clarity and understanding. Guest bio: David Richardson is the founder of the Assumptions Institute and its Chief Executive Officer. Prior to founding the Assumptions Institute, Richardson served for 30 years on the staff of Cru, formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ, devoting most of his ministry to university professors. He holds a B.A. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Portland, and an M.A. degree in Theological Studies from the International School of Theology. Richardson also holds an MTh. degree in Applied Theology from the University of Oxford. His dissertation, “Accepting Christian Faith in the Academy” was an important exploratory study of the religious attitudes and beliefs of university professors and how to reach them for Christ. Studies show that a majority of kids raised in Christian homes are leaving the faith when they leave the nest. It is vital that we understand the primary reasons why young people no longer believe if we want to help them return to the faith.   In this episode, Catherine airs an important conversation she had recently on the Redeeming the Chaos Podcast with Laurie Christine. Catherine and Laurie discuss new research which tells us why young people are bailing on Christianity. Highlighted are the 7 most prominent reasons Gen Zrs cite for walking away from the Christian faith. They are:   1. I have a hard time believing that a good God would allow so much evil or suffering in the world (29%): see EPISODE 66 w/ Dr. Douglas Groothuis 2. Christians are hypocrites (23%) 3. I believe science refutes too much of the Bible (20%) See Dr. Stephen Meyer: Signature in the Cell, The Return of the God Hypothesis, and Darwin's Doubt; also see Dr. John Lennox (The “God Delusion “ Debate with Richard Dawkins) 4. I don't believe in fairy tales (19%) see “The Case for Christ” & “The Case for Christ for Kids” by Lee Strobel 5. There are too many injustices in the history of Christianity (15%) see Episode 9: How Does Christian Worldview Creates the World We all Want to Live”, see Episodes 93, 94, & 95 w/ Os Guinness 6. I used to go to church, but it's just not important to me anymore (12%) 7. I had a bad experience in church/with a Christian (6%) see Episodes 39, 40, 41, & 42; see “When Narcissism Comes to Church: Healing Your Community from Emotional & Spiritual Abuse” by Dr. Chuck DeGroat   Catherine offers some helpful resources to consult if a child you know has embraced one of these claims about Christianity, and she and Laurie also offer some helpful resources for discipling younger kids in the faith.   BIO: Laurie Christine is an author, podcast host, Biblical Parenting Coach, wife, and mom of four loud, adventurous boys. In this episode, I discuss the findings from the Arizona Christian University's Cultural Research Center under the direction of Dr George Barna concerning "America's Most Popular Worldview" today. American Worldview Inventory 2021 Release #02 introduces "Moralistic Therapeutic Deism" as the most popular worldview in America today. Which sadly also means that many people seating in the church pews see the world through the lense of MDT. So What is it? Moralistic Therapeutic Deism (MTD) is a worldview initially identified and named by sociologists Christian Smith and Melinda Lundquist Denton. They introduced their findings and conclusions in their book, Soul Searching: The Religious and Spiritual Lives of American Teenagers, published in 2005 and which was based on national research among the teenagers of the turn of the millennium. At that time Smith and Denton identified several core beliefs that characterized the thinking and behavior of the group. Those components included: • belief in a God who remains distant from people's lives • people are supposed to be good to each other (i.e., moral) • the universal purpose of life of being happy and feeling good about oneself • there are no absolute moral truths • God allows “good people” into Heaven • God places very limited demands on people. Consistent with other worldview research, the current Cultural Research Center findings confirm that even though those perspectives developed two decades ago, during the preteen years of that generation (a group we now call Millennials), they have held on to those beliefs as they have aged. That follows the well-established worldview developmental pattern. Research conducted by George Barna, and subsequently others, over the past quarter-century has shown that a person's worldview develops when they are very young, is refined during their teens and 20s, and then serves as a decision-making foundation for the duration of a person's life. Without conscious retraining, it is unlikely that worldview will change during a person's lifetime.-(https://www.arizonachristian.edu/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/CRC_AWVI2021_Release02_Digital_01_20210427.pdf) --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/i61-exploits/message

This morning rant is about knowing Jesus. This is the truth about the church in America today. According to the latest release by American Worldview Inventory 2021, American adults differed on biblical and worldview issues despite saying they are professing Christians. The survey conducted in February 2021 by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University found that most American adults (69 percent) are "self-identified Christians."While they hold to the basic tenets of the faith, it is also worth noting that self-identified Christians hold to some beliefs that contradict the Bible, such as believing that people are basically good (72 percent) and that there's no absolute truth (52 percent).Additionally, 58 percent of self-identified Christians believe that the Holy Spirit is not a real, living being, 64 percent say all faiths are of equal value and 57 percent believe in karma. THIS GROUP DOES NOT KNOW WHO GOD, JESUS OR THE HOLY SPIRIT IS. These are NOT Believers and they do not belong to the KINGDOM OF GOD. Philippians 3:10-11, I want to know Christ – yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.Matthew 7:24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.Matthew 7:26 Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.Luke 6:27 But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,Luke 6:49 But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground without any foundation; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed, and the ruin of that house was great.”Luke 6:47 Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like:Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/622a9079e8fb640012cb94f3. In this podcast, Tosha talks about the recently published USA Today's "Women of the Year" list as well as the "American Worldview Inventory 2022" released by the the Cultural Research Center and Dr. George Barna. While the world and culture impose certain thought processes, the reality is that fewer and fewer Americans have a biblical worldview. All along, the Bible says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”  Romans 12:2 NIVSo what are you doing with your mind? We have spent the last several months sharing our interviews from over a dozen leading voices in the area of education, family, faith, child protection and more as we continue the production of our new documentary film, The Mind Polluters. www.themindpolluters.com What should we do with the information shared? We must take action! It's clear from our interviews what's happening to our children in the classroom has everything to do with worldview. George Barna released his book "American Worldview Inventory 2020-2021" and I encourage every pastor, parent, grandparent, and citizen to pick up a copy to help you see this very real battle that's destroying America which we address in "The Mind Polluters". Barna writes, "Parents of the youngest generation - comprised of those born after 2002 - would do the country a great service by evaluating the worldview of their children and taking all necessary steps to intentionally and strategically shape that worldview to produce citizens who will love God, family, and country." The author of more than 50 books, including numerous award-winners and New York Times bestsellers, his recent research, The American Worldview Inventory revealed that just 6 % of U.S. adults possess a biblical worldview. In “God's Truth or my truth,” Dr. Barna sits down with Angela to discuss the opportunities emerging from the pandemic, the “cut-and-paste” approach most Americans take to making sense of life, and how we can move the needle toward thoughtful dependence on the Bible to frame our worldview.

With this podcast, we continue our DESTINATIONS series, in which we have some meaningful conversations about very distinct directions. In this episode, Tosha talks about the startling new survey released by the Barna Group in association with Arizona Christian University and the Cultural Research Center. The American Worldview Inventory 2021 reveals some major statistics that emphasize why discipling the next generation is so important.More and more, the younger generations are walking away from Jesus and faith. As we lead our kids to “Ponder the path of your feet...” (Proverbs 4:26), this week we specifically talk to them about whether their path is leading them towards living for themselves or their Savior. Their choice  on this path sets the trajectory for every other path. If we choose to follow our Savior, then we'll go where He wants us to go and do what He wants us to do.The discipleship conversation that goes along with this episode is available at: "DESTINATIONS: Self or Savior?"_______Family Disciple Me is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry dedicated to "Making Christ Known and His Word Home."
