What do you share when a Billion Dollar company asks you to speak to their top affiliates? During the Content Is Profit journey we have discovered a few frameworks that have become the core of what we teach. Arguably, the most important framework of all is the Publishing Pyramid. A framework, discovered through trial and error, that arose in a conversation with two-comma-club award winner Kathryn Jones. This framework has become the foundation on what led us to build an optimized content machine that allows us to publish over 400 pieces of content and built a 6-figure business. We're switching things up on this episode of Today's Business Leaders with TWO guests for the first time ever. We are meeting with both of the Luis brothers–yes real brothers! Their brand story began long before most of ours- as they weren't even out of diapers when this business partnership sparked. It may have been long ago, but one thing about Luis & Luis remained true throughout, their passion and drive to build something big. When completing college, trying to start their own vinyl sticker and t-shirt business didn't lead them to the success they were after, they began saying yes to any and all opportunities out there that they thought might be their next ticket to creating a successful business. As we always say at BME, we can't expect exceptional creative output to happen without some extent of creative input. This notion rang true for the brothers as they saw an advertisement from a reputable brand, who's known for its controversial marketing tactics. This marketer gave them a true direction for where they wanted to take their entrepreneurial efforts– the digital marketing world. That may seem ambiguous to us, but to Luis & Luis, this was the start of something great. Many entrepreneurs are unsure of what they're even doing when they start out–we just know that we want to do something great. Developing their skills to navigate the online world and social media, and saying yes to every opportunity that comes to light. They gave every opportunity their best shot but had trouble with the systems and processes in doing so, successfully. Trial and error and gaining experience as fast as possible is something that takes many entrepreneurs to the next level of success. Trying, failing and learning from that failure becomes an asset to the mosaic of experience of becoming an entrepreneur. Starting your own business comes with a lot of similar challenges, or at least similar patterns of choices us entrepreneurs make. Challenges and cycles of success seem to be familiar to the BIZBROS. This process was no stranger to Luis & Luis, once again. It became apparent that the statistic that most businesses only last about five years throughout their challenges during the pandemic. But knowing what they know now, they reflect on things they wished they'd have done differently. Pulling on team members and focusing on strategy and backside logistics as their lessons from these cycles and failures has resurrected their business to the success it has today. Continue to reflect on what's working and what's not in bringing that revenue. Even looking at vanity or business metrics can give you both the boost to beat imposter syndrome; however, it can also be misleading to how successful it really is. You may only get 100 views on your show, but it could still very well be bringing in revenue that you don't see on the surface. The BIZBROSCO ends on how their focus on content has driven bountiful success in their business. They say focusing on providing content marketing to the digital world relies on relationships. Products, processes and personalities are what they look for in their own business and with the clients that they help. Putting in the time and effort, resilience to failures, learning from those failures, showing up for your business and surrounding yourself with a great support team are their ultimate tips for success.
“Give away what you want to get.” -Luis Camejo As a young man, Luis had to face the challenge of figuring out what it is that he really wants to do in life. His heart was set on soccer, but after losing that opportunity, Luis had to open many doors until he finally found what was it that ignites the fire inside his heart. Today, Luis together with his brother Luis Alfonso “Fonzi” can say they found their passion with BizBros and helping entrepreneurs through their “Content Machine”. In this episode, Luis relates what that journey was like and how positive energy and charisma made a huge difference in their business. Daniel and Luis also discuss how to create consistent media content for your business, unlock your capacity, grow your resources, and expand your relationships. But even with hard work, sometimes things will not work as we want them to. When this happens, exclude giving up on your options and listen to what Luis has to say! In this episode of the BizBros podcast, the Biz Bros sit down with Wylie Robinson to talk about his career and the history behind the first puffy blanket, Rumpl. Starting in the back of a van he realized that sleeping bags weren't cutting it for them and wanted the same feeling of a sleeping bag in a blanket. Returning from the trip and borrowing a sewing machine, the first Rumpl “Puffy” blankets were hand sewn in a cramped San Francisco apartment. After several months using the blankets, the two realized they had stumbled on to an idea much grander than just a sleeping bag blanket. The materials typically found in everyday blankets hadn't evolved in hundreds of years—the entire category wasn't utilizing any of the material innovation that was taking place in apparel, outdoor gear, and activewear. The Rumpl brand was born! To learn more about Wylie and the first Rumpl blanket, visit: https://www.rumpl.com/pages/our-story

During the Content Is Profit journey we have discovered a few frameworks that have become the core of what we teach.Arguably, the most important framework of all is the Publishing Pyramid. Discovered through trial and error, which arose in a conversation with two-comma-club award winner Kathryn Jones. This framework has become the foundation on what led us to build an optimized content machine that allows us to publish over 400 pieces of content and built a 6-figure business. In this episode, we share the presentation we did for the Clickfunnels affiliate community. Last year many had to learn to be with themselves while in quarantine.During the process, some doubled down on their morning routines. Others attempted different morning routines. Just a few of the ways people dealt with what was going on in their heads and hearts. But what do a lot of these people have in common? Coffee. For many, early morning coffee is a sacred ritual. It is a non-negotiable part of their morning routines. A space to reflect, journal, and start the day the right way.During that time, Tim & Michelle, started Connect Over Coffee when they noticed a lot of people struggling to gain momentum in their days.Instead of changing the entire morning. They decided to start with the first step.Today, they came on the Content Is Profit Podcast and shared their story and lessons they've learned through the years. When we started this journey. We had no background on entrepreneurship. We had no background in business. We had no background in, in team building kind of deal. And when you're, when we're leading right now, we have a team in the back as well. We have to take action in different things, wear multiple hats at the very beginning. And as you, as we start to grow. So to me, that was one of the things how can we be proactive. How can we move the things forward that when we started publishing with the show it came out of a moment of a lot of need? Like we lost a lot of business, about 80% of the stuff we had about 60 days. And we had to take action on publishing something that people were talking about it and telling us to do three years ago, I'm moving forward. And we finally took action. So after that, it has been a series of these micro moments along the journey in the last couple of years that we've had to put it on when we encounter that friction point, that personally and on the business side is that we don't progress. Is because we're not taking actions. So especially the recently we lived, it's crazy intense moment in the business that is pushing us today. One of those indicators. So to me recently that has been a very important lesson.Success isn't hitting a home run. It's a series of base hits every single day. A term that I was introduced to not too long ago, actually, and it was mainly because of the status of my relationship with my girlfriend and what we were living in is that term that is called sunk cost. And sometimes we invest so much of herself into something whether that is an activity or a person. Like relationship or your own business, that when we see something not working, we're like, no, we're going to not do it until it actually works. And we keep pushing and we can push in. We can push in and then just keep investing resources, whether those are financial resources or emotional resources. And we just keep digging and digging. And we have invested so much in this, we're afraid to let go of that and search for a new opportunity right now. We hear all the time when you're growing, don't be a quitter, don't quit. But this thing is not working or it's not making you happy then why am I going to keep digging in this thing? It's pivoting quitting, or is just taking a different approach to things. So for me has been a journey of allowing myself that, that freedom of pivoting has been allowing myself to, realize that pivoting is not quitting. But this thing is not working or it's not making you happy then why am I going to keep digging in this thing? It's pivoting quitting, or is just taking a different approach to things. So for me has been a journey of allowing myself that, that freedom of pivoting has been allowing myself to, realize that pivoting is not quitting.I realized where I used to do it is I was addicted to the ambiguity because I was almost afraid to see what I had sunk in, but that is actually what kept me sinking in. Instead of having that space. And I feel like that's where ambiguity becomes the detriment to being able to pivot because you don't really know what all the inputs are. And I think that's probably, for me, one of the biggest lessons I've learned in all of this is that I don't have to know every ounce of everything, but I have to spend some time being aware of the inputs of the revenue, of the expenses and of all those pieces to make sure that I'm setting myself up to win.people getting holed up in the stage of what is the right next step? What is that perfect move that I can take next? And we often talk about a concept that we call conscious action and is literally the act of reflecting after we make an action. We talk about it in the context of content. A lot of people just put content out there and then just the next thing, and what we have found in our process that has worked greatly is the fact of putting content on there and then reflecting on it. What did we do? What did we do wrong? How can we improve it? If it's good, can we double down on this, all this other stuff. I feel since the world is so fast-paced right now, people are just like, let me try things as fast as possible without actually reflecting on whether they work or not. And I think that's an important step in there because you can take action. You can take the wrong choice actually. But if you're reflecting on it and figuring that is not the right step to take, then you can pivot, you can also present the other direction, but people don't take the time to do that. And sometimes they take the right step, but because they're in such a hurry, they move on to the wrong step. Instead of reflecting, realizing that is the right step, but they just need a little bit more time of action and keep pursuing that. Maybe go against the flow one some quick thoughts in here, but people sometimes spend too much time on the learning phase in jars. The insole deep into things that then they become afraid of taking action and they just want that one opportunity. That's going to be perfect.Let me take a better than that one. And so we call this the relentless pursuit of better. And this is a concept that I learned from a sales guy called Phil Jones. He said, I don't like the term best because best in clients, there's a roof that I cannot go past that. So he's I just like to do things better than I did it the last time. Let me try to do a better, so when pursuing action. Instead of what is that perfect action that I can take, because that implies, there's a roof right there. Hey, what is a better action that I can take? And then let me reassess and move past. I called it the action and action trap, because what's so amazing is that we sit there and we wait to take action until it looks good or it's perfect, but we actually need the feedback from the world to determine the next step. And but then the inversion is we always talk about how do I get into action? How do we get an action? But you brought up with a conscious reflection. That's the other side of the trap. And the action trap that if all you're doing is taking action and never taking a step back and looking at how did it work? What can I do differently than you're in the over action trap? And so I'm going to just going to call it the action and action trap.Basically are 25% more receptive to programming your brain. Like it's statistically proven it's been studied in everything. And so people go work out that go move and then they listen to other people's words and content. And they're basically getting programmed from the outside world. But as entrepreneurs, we're supposed to trust our intuition and gut to build our vision, but yet we never have the space to allow it to program our brain. And so that mindful movement it's one of my faith. We created now what we call the M to M which stands for macro to micro. And literally what we do is we help people maximize their efforts because they're putting so much love and attention and energy into creating their podcast, right? These long form pieces of content that are extremely viable. And then you don't have the, either the energy or the resources to create what we call now. We don't call it repurposing. We actually have a war against that word. Now we call it just multipurpose in it. So more people can find that about you and then it became. How do we use that to drive right results into your business? Therefore, why you see the sign on the bag? The name of the podcast is content is profit, and that just led to one thing to the other. So how we help people is, Hey, send us your podcasts and we'll do some magic with this through the M to M and we'll deliver all these assets for you, but at the same time, which is something that we learn through you as well. You can help us reaffirm that this was part of the good step is the accountability and support man, because we was indoctrinated into the digital marketing space. Teach them these principles and foundations so they can be so self-sufficient so reliable.

Creative processes have always presented a challenge, especially for small businesses.Between managing resources, tools, and nowadays remote team members, taking a project from idea to “done” can be a real challenge.Bigger companies had access to certain tools that were not accessible to smaller companies, to deal with their creative projects. This is a fantastic high-energy interview with The BizBros -- my friends, Luis and Fonzi. So good that I've included an entire transcript! Hear the highlights including: the publishing pyramid minimal viable content consistency and accountability the power of LIVE! I saved this one for our milestone episode 75!!! In this episode of Unlocking your World of Creativity, Mark talks to the Bizbros. They are Luis and Fonzi, a couple of brothers from Venezuela who started their entrepreneurship in the US, and now they have a company dedicated to providing marketing and content services for all types of contacts. Not quite the sameEven though Luis and Fonzi are brothers, they have vastly different personalities and that also means getting two unique takes on the same project. So Luis takes care of the operational side of things whereas Fonzi focuses on the creative side of things. How it all startedThroughout their childhood, Luis and Fonzi were not like other kids. For starters, they lived in Venezuela where entrepreneurship was not common. But they started as kids, they were creative and resourceful. Their parents always made them work to get what they wanted and this made them very aware of much thought and work that went into getting the things they wished for. Eventually, this mentality came to them as adults where they devised a way to transform their ideas into a business together. What they doLuis and Fonzi offer only one service in their agency. However, this is not a weakness for them. The focus in being the best there is in their field. The Bizbros grab long-form content and turn it into a ton of amazing assets for whatever objective organic paid media and what that comes at. So it's basically leveraging your platform. So we offer that as a service for other people inside of that, there are different phases. There are about seven phases that we've been able to develop, with our team to do that. They essentially leverage your platform and are looking to boost up the visits to their site. They started printing t-shirts in Florida to now have a full agency of social media marketing. They built some brick-and-mortar campaigns, diversified the service aspect, and also hired a coach to help them with the business. From there, it was a smoother sail. What makes content profitable? Or how does one think about content in the context of profit? Basically, their approach to content is to make it evergreen, useful and that the content is a bridge to create more customer relationships that help to grow the numbers. Is not about just delivering any content, is about looking at who the reader is, what they need, and how to connect with them in an organic way that produces content that is leveraging relationships for strategic partnerships. “45 Live Challenge”So what is their 45 Live challenge? Is a challenge they took in which they would daily "live" on their Facebook for 45 days. What is interesting is that they have not been able to finish this challenge as being constant does give results: each time they engage in this challenge they have to leave it because they gain a new client to work with! So basically, the brothers believe that determination and being constant is also another way to generate genuine engagement with the clients. Right now they actually doing this challenge again, at around 5:00 PM they have their welcome class before starting the actual challenge. The point is to measure their consistency and hold each other accountable. As they go to post live for 45 days, they're actually doing it too, and there might be some surprises along the way that prepared for everybody to make it a fun experience. So, to recap: the brothers have a publishing agency where they offer amazing content and guide and the most recent 45 live challenge. For those interested in joining the challenge just go to 45.live, and you’ll be added to the Facebook group and you’ll be ready to...
