With other life insurance companies, you might be penalized for family history, BMI, and other attributes but don't get rewarded for your health conscious lifestyle. You put in the time to train consistently, have the discipline to get out there in the cold, in the dark, you eat well, and you get the rewards of greater energy, and you feel good about yourself. Let's face it, you spend money on race registrations, gym memberships and gear. See if you can reward yourself further and recoup some of those investments. See how much you can save. To see if you qualify, get your free quote today at healthiq.com/milehigh or mention the promo code Mile High when you talk to a Health IQ agent. The reason is that there's something inside each of us that knows that eating plant-based is much more sustainable and healthy than eating animal-based. On this episode, I'm chatting with a wonderful person who is one of the leading voices in the vegan lifestyle community, Victoria Moran. Victoria Moran has been sharing her story for many years about how she became vegan after discovering her own food addiction. It was that pivotal moment that inspired her once and for all to pursue a healthier life, which did include her transition to a vegan way of eating and living. On this episode, Victoria Moran and I talk about many, many important issues that the vegan lifestyle touches on. From the health impact of becoming vegan to the environmental and animal rights issues, you'll find Victoria not only a zealous advocate of the vegan way of life but also a voice of reason and sanity in the conversation. If you are considering becoming vegan I encourage you to hear Victoria's story and the reasons behind her passionate advocacy for the vegan lifestyle. She's a person who looks at it not only from the standpoint of the data but also from a common sense and compassionate stance. She's a truly amazing person who is an inspiration in so many ways. At the end of this episode, I asked my guest, Victoria Moran for 3 simple steps a person could take if they are considering becoming vegan and she gave some of the most practical and simple advice I've heard on the subject. I think it's doable for anyone, even you, so please take the time to listen. Outline Of This Great Episode [1:59] My welcome to this first episode of 2017, and introduction to this episode. Yes, mosherama! This podcast draws its name, slightly sadly, not from the fact that I have been in one insane moshpit after another this week, which might have been quite cool, but from the rather more mundane circumstance that I have simply been to quite a lot of gigs. I did mosh, in a sense. In the fat, sad old man sense that I stood sort of in the middle and nodded my head vaguely in time to the music. I know, I know, who will save society from such excess? This must be a job for Carol Vorderman. Defeatist self-mockery aside, I genuinely did see three fantastic gigs one after another this week, so the podcast is going to reflect this. Once again we have multiple Grandaddy songs, which means my fandom is probably tipping the balance into sad, slavering fanboy territory but umm... well, it's too late for me to make a last-minute scramble for dignity anyway, so fuck it, they were absolutely fucking amazing and you are just going to have to sit through it and pretend to love them as much as I do. 01.
