We look at the Scag lineup available in Australia and the warehouse that allows them to serve Australia with new machines and parts. Jeg Coughlin Jr. doesn't look like a driver who retired for three years because he's back in NHRA Pro Stock competition, and back to winning races. Before heading to his home track this weekend, Coughlin discusses what it's like to indeed be back with Elite Motorsports; getting back up to speed on the racetrack; a driver falling behind when out of the seat for an extended period; the competitiveness of the class; coming back into competition with a team/people he knew; seeing his nephew pilot the famous black and yellow JEGS colors; having a new identity of his own in the SCAG colors; the time being right to come back; the contrast of his retirement year in a pandemic to a thriving sport now; assessing the first part of the season and having two wins; any different feelings with winning now versus before retirement; previewing Norwalk and a potential first win there. On this episode of the NHRA Insider podcast re-minted full-time Pro Mod racer Lyle Barnett and top fuel Ace Justin Ashley join host Brian Lohnes to talk off-season moves, big expectations for 2024, and how, as individuals, they plan on making a measurable impact on the upcoming season. Lyle Barnett had a whirlwind of an off-season. Initially tagged as the replacement driver for Leah Pruett, the situation changed and he was left without a ride. A single conversation with Pro Mod team owner Scott Tidwell placed him in the seat of a highly competitive car and one he will pilot all season long. Barnett talks about the team, why it is a good fit, and what he brings to the table in what promises to be a season for the doorslammer books. Justin Ashley made waves when it was announced that his team would be part of the new SCAG factory mega-team that includes multiple Funny Car entries, a Top Fuel dragster, Pro Stock entries and more. Ashley talks about pre-season preparations, his approach to 2024, and why this SCAG Power Equipment team is set to take an already stable operation and kick it over the top. Big energy here. Big talent here. Big fun here as well. Listen!
#NHRA #dragracing #Wilkerson Daniel Wilkerson joins Joe Castello for a wide ranging conversation about his new opportunity driving the SCAG factory NHRA Ford Mustang Funny Car. Daniel will give the details of his move from crew chief for Chad Green, to the driver's seat of his father's race car for the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season. Daniel's father Tim Wilkerson, who will be Daniel's tuner, may drop by, regardless, he will be a big topic of the conversation. This father and son Funny Car team is sure to be in the championship mix. Daniel will also address his 2023 season ending win at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, as tuner for Chad Green. D-Wilk is known for not having a filter, this should be fun. Interviews on WFO Radio have become part of winning for drivers in the NHRA Drag Racing Series. As part of the National Hot Rod Association's Track Announcing team, host Joe Castello brings insights directly from the world of professional NHRA Mission Foods and Lucas Oil Series Drag Racing. NHRA results and news are featured in weekly livestreams, NHRA's Alan Reinhart and other NHRA stars including John Force, Ron Capps, Antron Brown, Steve Torrence, Justin Ashley, Josh Hart, Austin Prock, Greg Anderson, and Erica Enders all make frequent stops on the WFO Radio Podcast and livestream. On this first 2024 episode of the NHRA Insider Podcast host Brian Lohnes is joined by Tony Pedregon to talk about the news of the last couple of weeks, the passing of legends like Don Schumacher and Roland Leong, the wild news about JCM Racing, the new SCAG factory drag racing team, and a whole lot more. What is normally a quiet stretch of time between Christmas and New Year's Day was far busier than normal this year. Lohnes and Pedregon take time to reflect on the lives and careers of both the late owner and tuner Roland Leong as well as the massive legacy left by the passing of Don Schumacher. The two talk about the work being done in this earliest week of the new year by the teams who have officially kicked off preparations for the 2024 Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, what those preparations are, and how important getting new crew members acclimated is. The most interesting part of the show delves into the announcements made by JCM Racing and SCAG regarding wholesale changes of both sponsorship and ownership tied into multiple teams. This story will continue to develop and the insiders are here for it. It's 2024 and the action is getting closer by the day, enjoy this episode!

Hey guys! I'm so hyped for this episode, because in it I had a chance to speak with Ethan Hammond, owner of Hammond Landscape in Okemos, Michigan. The man is absolutely crushing it, and is on track to do between $130-150k this year, with 85 accounts, and 4-5 guys working with him. He also snagged a fleet of brand new Scag stand-on zero turns. We talked about his journey from 10 lawns at 12 years old to 85 at 17, touching on everything from his marketing tactics and his equipment journey, to what it takes for others to follow in his footsteps, as well as his his multi-millionaire dreams. Oh, and if you're a young gun looking to follow in Ethan's footsteps, or maybe just build a profitable side-hustle (or maybe you are on the journey already!), then welcome to your golden ticket-- The Mowtivated Lawncare Show. We are going to walk through building a six-figure lawncare business for you, and talk to some incredible guests who are crushing it along the way. Who am I? My name is Caleb Nguyen, owner of Yellow Hat Mowers. We are a legit lawncare and landscaping operation complete with a crew of more than 6 guys, zero-turns for days, and six-figure revenue. Ready to get off the couch and make YOUR dreams a reality? Than put the ear-buds in and let's get this show on the road. And be sure to follow and leave a review. The current largest U.S. charging station is a 70-space location - A fence currently obscures the early-stage Supercharger site confirmed by Courtney. It sits on roughly four acres of desert, which connects to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Barstow, spanning the area between the western end of the hotel's parking lot and the eastern barrier of I-15. - The Daily Press couldn't identify references to the new Supercharger project in any news releases or financial disclosures from Tesla or from Edison, nor in any past public agendas of the Barstow City Council or of the Southern California Association of Governments, or SCAG, a broader entity Courtney cited as having behind-the-scenes involvement on the public-official side of the project. To learn about sustainable metropolitan transportation in Los Angeles, Alexander Sarno sits down with two of Los Angeles' most prominent transportation thought leaders, Dr. Cris B Liban, LA Metro's first ever Chief Sustainability Officer, and one of USC Price's very own, Dr. Marlon Boarnet, Chair of the USC Urban Planning & Spatial Analysis Department and Professor of Public Policy. The conversation is composed of three parts, beginning with what was going on in the County prior to the outbreak of COVID-19. We then dive into how the County has responded and innovated to the tremendous challenges posed by the pandemic. Lastly, we leave with some inspiration as each of our guests share their respective visions for LA metropolitan transportation in the 21st century. Correction to the statistic presented at 2:45 regarding the findings of a UCLA Institute of Transportation study: transportation ridership in the SCAG region declined from 2012 to 2016. Sgt. Scag ran the Ska/Punk Scene in New England in the late 90's. And then they mysteriously disappeared, only to return like a Cicada 18 years later! What happened? Why the sudden reappearance? Find out in this episode of Live and Local...
Here is Episode 26 of the Bürgerkrieg Productions Podcast "15 Minutes of Fame," because literally no one asked for it. The conversation features vocalist Steve of the Connecticut-based, road-warrior ska band, Sgt. Scag. Our chat reveals more details about their legendary stage antics and the importance of a "dumb stuff budget," some of the modern advancements in technology the band enjoys (especially while on the road), he explains the hotly-debated subject of the legitimacy of Connecticut pizza, and I hear the chilling yet hilarious origin story of the track "Ives Manor." A new report released by the Southern California Association of Governments, or SCAG, shows that one of the nation’s most congested metropolitan areas has seen a significant decline in travel due to the coronavirus pandemic. As KVCR’s Benjamin Purper reports, the report shows troubling patterns emerging as the economy re-opens. The SCAG study analyzed roadway, rail and air traffic in the six-county Southern California region during the early months of the pandemic. They found the vehicle-miles traveled (VMT) fell by nearly 80% in April from January 2020. VMT Gradually increased beginning in April as more public spaces reopened, and VMT is now nearing pre-pandemic levels. As for transit, there were sharp drops in bus ridership, LA Metro, and Metrolink. Air travel suffered immediate impacts – it was down 65% year-over-year in March and 95% in April. Freight traffic experienced mixed results. The San Pedro Bay Port saw double-digit declines in containerized cargo, while Ontario
Immediately upon his election to the presidency of the Regional Council of the Southern California Association of Governments in June, Long Beach City Councilmember Rex Richardson proposed a resolution to declare racism a public health crisis and, therefore, a top priority for SCAG. The resolution was adopted nearly unanimously, setting the tone for an agenda focused on equity and social justice.
In this week's episode, the panel of DM's discuss the brash, short-lived, skilled, and incredibly numerous Humans. This week, SGV Connect talks to government executives that are overseeing some of L.A. County's largest departments as they respond to COVID-19 and do long-term planning for the future. First, Kris talks to Norma Garcia, the Acting Director of the L.A. County Department of Parks. Fortin and Garcia discuss the county's plans to continue to re-open public space, should the numbers support greater openings, and the experience inside of the re-opened parks and trails last weekend. So far, things seem to be going pretty well. Fingers crossed that the numbers stay low. Next, Damien talks to Kome Ajise, the executive director of the mammoth Southern California Association of Governments, the regional planning organization for the nine county Southern California region. A little under two weeks ago, SCAG approved it's long-term plan for the region, a document that helps guide development in large cities and small municipalities throughout the region. Efforts were made to change language in the plan around density, citing how overcrowding is partially responsible for the spread of COVID-19 in some cities. However, Ajise and the SCAG staff resisted, and he eloquently describes the difference between density and overcrowding in the interview. That section of the plan remains unchanged from the draft in the fall. During what is usually a short between-interview segment, Damien asked Kris his take on the SCAG plan. Kris had been engaged with SCAG on behalf of Santa Ana Active Streets, and he surprised Damien with a nearly ten-minute detailed answer. It's as though we had three interviews this week. I'm Mike, your DM and guide to all things dungeonesque and dragon-y. In this episode, we're talking about Death Metal, Ettins, Tiamat, Fighters, and Outlanders. Heard Any Good Rumours Lately?I finally took delivery of my package of The Depths of Drasted - a limited edition boxed set of CD and one shot 5E compatible adventure, from the death metal band, The Black Dahlia Murder - who I'm already a big fan of. The adventure is designed to take around 3 hours to complete, so perfect for a one shot, and the character sheets all start at level 5, (“simply because at level 5 you have access to all the cooler spells and abilities” according to the booklet.) The adventure takes place in the long-deserted ruins of the city of Drasted, which in its prime was a centre for magical learning, but has been abandoned for long ages. Stories tell of this repository of knowledge being home to many powerful and magical artefacts, ripe for plunder - but superstitions abound of this dark and foreboding place being home to an ancient force that rose up from under the city, poisoning it's inhabitants and turning some into horrific abominations beyond the limits of flesh and imagination. In fact, as you enter a pall falls over the group and there seems to be an ominous green glow emanating from somewhere out of sight… The set contains: The CD of the album Verminous A 24 page adventure booklet, with hand drawn artwork for items, enemies, maps, and page borders as well as tables for slime mutations and temporary insanity. A custom set of green dice, with a variation of the biohazard symbol on the ‘one' face, (apart from the D4, where it is in the middle on each face.) A DM screen featuring artwork from the album's cover Custom pre-generated character sheets for Sloan McCord, cleric; Dux Lefevre, wizard; Wagner Lionheart, fighter; Walker Garrotte, fighter; and Chance Deveraux, rogue High quality thick presentation cards for the unique enemies in the game: Dark Cultist, Tomb Hornet Grave Rat and King Rat, with hand drawn artwork printed on one side and background info and stats printed on the reverse 4 Hand drawn printed pull out maps to play on with minis. During this great Lenten season of our lives, I have done as I usually do and cleared out the old dead stuff in my yard, killed weeds, and made new beds for vegetables and flowers. You know—pushed back the thorns and weeds from this small Eden of mine so that resurrection life can emerge as it does every year, with or without my help. Yet I am a participant in this yearly ritual, only this year the back-breaking labor has been on steroids! We have pressure-washed, filled up a new raised bed with compose and dirt, and dug up all the stones around all of our flower beds and reset them after bringing in a load of sand. The resetting of stones was the worst. Over time these stones sink and become unleveled. They looked fine to me but Teri insisted, and it was every bit as bad as I imagined. She had Eliot dig them up while I was at work so I had no veto power, and therefore had no choice but to reset them. Rather sneaky, but sometimes things go down like this in environments that partake in Edenic bliss but never-the-less are inhabited by people who have different sensibilities. They laid there for a while till I could get them set. Around the asparagus bed, blueberry bed, and old raspberry and blackberry beds. They just laid there all akimbo, like dead soldiers with no usefulness or beauty. It especially irritated me when I was pulling my sprayer over the yard with my new Scag lawnmower and scratched up the deck, trying to get too close to them. I made a childish, smart comment to Teri later, proving my pettiness and immaturity. A few days later there was nothing for it. These stones would be building blocks or stumbling blocks to my happiness all summer, and I spent a long time getting them set just right. Then I stood back and saw these same stones in all their glory—in their telos—and my heart was singing opera. It was beautiful. On Sunday we have a similar image. Jesus, in the discourse we started last week, is talking about life in community. And basically he is saying something like that in the way we relate to others in our family. He says the same of us: we can be stumbling blocks to each other or we can be used to build each other up. Hope you will join us online at 10:30am as we experience once again the scattered church become the gathered church—stones in the building Jesus is building for his own glory! Blessings, Jim

I'm Mike, your DM and guide to all things dungeonesque and dragon-y. In this episode, we're talking about … Halflings, Harpers, Druids, Elminster - but not Dragons. Listen on to find out why. Heard Any Good Rumours Lately?Stay at Home, Play at Home - free resources Off to the RacesHalflingSmall in stature but large of heart, halflings enjoy a good meal, a blazing hearth, good drink and good conversation. Lovers of peace and home comforts, some halflings live in remote agricultural communities, while others, tempted by the wonders of new lands and new foods, form nomadic travelling societies, constantly moving in their caravan of covered wagons or boats, chasing the horizon. Thought of by most other races as plucky, lucky and deft, The Halflings, or Hin, are nimble, and courageous - sometimes beyond their apparent means. Halfling tales are often peppered with lucky escapes and narrow squeaks. Like Tolkien's Hobbits, D&D halflings in general stand about 3ft tall, which makes them smaller than most other races, including Gnomes. This, along with their stout nature, tends to make them… less than intimidating, for the most part, which has lead to them surviving for centuries by going either unnoticed, or at the very least appearing as no threat to anything else. Their complexion ranges from pale and ruddy, to tan and they usually sport brown or sandy brown wavy hair. Brown or hazel eyes are common and males often sport bushy sideburns, with beards being less common and moustaches being rare among them. They like brightly coloured clothes that favour comfort and function over style. In fact they are a generally practical and pragmatic race in general, their main concerns being occupied with basic needs rather than frippery and ostentation. Halflings have a knack for finding straightforward solutions to problems and don't have much patience for dithering. Wealth is not flaunted in halfling society, rather kept away in a cellar or other secret place. Halflings are a happy and cheerful lot for the most part, and try to get on with everyone, other races included.... Support this podcast
This week's SGV Connect focuses on how the Coronavirus is impacting planning and transit throughout not just San Gabriel Valley, but all of Southern California. First up, Kris speaks with Demi Espinoza of the Safe Routes Partnership about the upcoming approval of SCAG's Connect SoCal document. Connect SoCal is a long-range plan that seeks to balance future mobility and housing needs with economic, environmental and public health goals. SCAG is the regional planning organization for a mammoth six-country region that includes Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura. Before their interview, Damien and Kris discuss whether or not it even makes sense to push such a plan right now. Damien references a recent statement and action put out by The Untokening that urges governments to stop planning processes that will not be able to reach many populations during COVID-19. Kris also mentioned, and it comes up again in the interview, that things have changed so much since the outreach began for this process that does the plan still make sense? The SCAG Regional Council is scheduled to vote on the plan on May 7. Second, our hosts talk about the impact COVID 19 is having on the transit agencies that serve the San Gabriel Valley. This week L.A. Metro announced another round of service cuts while revealing sharp declines in ridership: Bus Ridership Down 65 Percent, Rail Down 75 Percent. For more on Metro's cuts, read this article by Joe Linton, published on Wednesday. Three agencies have suspended regular service: Carson, Montebello and Monterey Park. Other agencies are scaling service back as agencies see steep ridership declines and loss of other income that bolsters transit budgets such as sales taxes and parking fees. While many agencies are still providing on-demand micro transit or ride-hailing services for residents in-need of transit, there is no doubt that both the present and future of many transit agencies is uncertain. If you're planning a transit trip, we recommend double-checking the relevant websites in advance and immediately before your trip to see if there are any changes. SGV Connect is supported by Foothill Transit, offering car-free travel throughout the San Gabriel Valley with connections to the new Gold Line Stations across the Foothills and Commuter Express lines traveling into the heart of downtown L.A. To plan your trip, visit Foothill Transit. “Foothill Transit. Going Good Places.” Catch past episodes of SGV Connect and #DamienTalks on LibSyn, iTunes, Google Play, or Overcast.

After a holiday break and a look-ahead episode, SGV Connect returns to its regularly scheduled programming: looking at the issues and programs that impact the present and future of the San Gabriel Valley. First, Kris Fortin talks to Kome Ajise, the executive director of the Silicon Valley Association of Governments. The two discuss the Multimodal Regional Corridor Plan for Arrow Highway and how people can get involved in the plan to make a car-centric freeway more appealing to road users who aren't traveling by car. To leave comments for the project, visit their official website. Comments are due by the end of the month. The two also discuss "Connect SoCal" the long range plan SCAG is developing that will guide planning for housing, transportation, planning and public health within the counties of Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura. For more information, or to submit comments on the plan, visit SCAG's website. Later, Damien speaks with Joe Linton, the editor of Streetsblog Los Angeles about a discussion happening in Pasadena around transportation planning. In 2014, the city changed how it reviews transportation projects from the car-centric Level of Service to a more people-centered metric called "Vehicle Miles Traveled." When the city council asked for a report on how the change is impacting the city, local media reacted by implying that the city might be backing away from the metric. Linton explains that changing back to LOS is no longer possible under state law, however Pasadena can tinker with its goals and projections, something that some Council members seem keen on doing. SGV Connect is supported by Foothill Transit, offering car-free travel throughout the San Gabriel Valley with connections to the new Gold Line Stations across the Foothills and Commuter Express lines traveling into the heart of downtown L.A. A dramatic decision by a little-known planning agency may impact how much new housing goes up in your city. The board of the Southern California Association of Governments, or SCAG, voted recently to allocate more housing in coastal, job-rich cities in Southern California rather than in rural areas. That means over 3,000 new units for Beverly Hills, which had planned to build three. DnA talks to the mayors of Culver City and Beverly Hills about their different approaches to new housing construction, and asks if car-based land-use in the Southland is coming to the end of the road. And ‘tis the season for holiday craft fairs. So why does West Coast Craft, new to LA this year, insist it is not a craft fair? DnA talks to WCC creative director Paulina Nassar about the "West Coast aesthetic," the intersection of fine art and craft, and WCC's place in a fairly saturated craft marketplace.
Throughout California, there is a housing affordability crisis spurred by a mounting shortage of housing supply. State housing officials estimate that more than 1.3 million homes need to be built in the six-county SCAG region between October 2021 and October 2029. In an effort to address this issue, the Regional Housing Needs Assessment, also known as RHNA, is mandated by State Housing Law as part of the periodic process of updating local housing elements of a jurisdiction's General Plan. On this episode of the COGCast, Ma'Ayn Johnson, Housing Program Manager at the Southern California Association of Governments, answers two major questions: What is RHNA? And what does it mean for jurisdictions?

Camille Cruz is 26 -- a millennial. She came to LA from New York where she used public transportation all of the time. But, not in LA. Not until Monday, when she took us up on a challenge to give it a try. After all, she lives near the North Hollywood Station and works near the Bundy and Olympic station in West LA. She's exactly the type of commuter public transit officials are trying to reach. That according to the CEO's from Metro, Metrolink and SCAG that are trying to beef up the transportation their agencies have been working on for years. Who knew that near-apocalyptic motorcycle gangs had so much internal drama, though it might just be Bubba Zanetti that gets bent out of shape about his fellow riders. We also bring up why we think the Night Rider's remains were sent to Wee Jerusalem, the idea of hierarchy within Toecutter's criminal enterprise, and the poor state of MFP Headquarters. Business today is increasingly about information, technology, and service. Before this era, business wasn t so much people making things happen, it was simply about making things. Today on Out to Lunch Peter Ricchiuti is talking about people who make things. With robots. And steam. At the beginning of the 21st Century Missy Rogers and her husband Scott founded Noble Plastics with a bunch of employees who had no experience whatsoever making plastic products. Noble Plastics has continued on this path of local groundbreaking, creating a state of the art manufacturing plant that today includes robotic plastic molding machines, automated monitoring, a design studio, and an Acadiana Small Business of the Year Award. Jim Phillips calls himself the Founding Evangelist and Information Officer of The Incubatrix. The Incubatrix is a free community building program based on STEAM Science, Technology, Education and Art Makers. THE INCUBATRIX was launched in 2014 at the Lafayette Science Museum during The STEAMpunk and MAKERS Fair which celebrates Art and Science through performance, presentation and hands on interactivity. Peter met Spanky Meche, today s Entrepreneur du Jour on this edition of Out to Lunch through One Acadia, the organization that s leading economic development in Acadia Parish. Spanky is the founder of Spanky s Small Engine and Mower Sales in Church Point, Louisiana. Since its founding in 2010 Spanky s has grown and become a focal point for other businesses. In 2015 Spanky s won the Rising Star Award for outstanding sales and service from international power equipment manufacturer and distributor SCAG. Photos taken over lunch at Social. Cities are the engines of economic growth because they provide opportunities for enhanced productivity. They provide opportunities for productive spatial arrangements, often involving “clustering” and “agglomerating.” But these widely cited descriptors are seldom defined. This research uses business location data for Los Angeles County to test various associated questions. (1) To what extent do technological links explain spatial clustering? (2) How does this vary by industry? (3) Are the smallest firms attracted to the densest areas because they are most dependent on information developed by others? (4) How does this vary by industry? This research investigates these questions at the sub-metropolitan (traffic analysis zone) level. Smack, Black Tar, Brown Sugar, Mexican Mud and Scag! What are we talking about you may ask—Heroin, the biggest pandemic in America. Killing hella kids daily—Just in Jefferson County alone we lost 19 kids to overdoses in 9months…In America we might think that our country being in debt is the big problem but closer to home the problem is heroin. This drug has been around for ages and back in the day no one really used heroin because they would need to inject it, but now it’s a whole new ball game. Heroin comes in many forms and kids are getting their hands on it easily. Another problem we now face with heroin being readily available for our kids is that this stuff is cheap! Get a bump for $5, they don’t need to spend $20 a gram on weed now…it’s all about what gets you the best high for cheap and that’s the problem. Parents need to wake up and realize this stuff is powerful and popular and has taken the world by storm. This black tar is right around the corner—no matter where you live. Look at Cory Monteith, he was a successful actor on the hit series Glee, had everything going for him nothing wrong and all of sudden, DEAD. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you live or how much money you have people. Heroin is right there killing our future because the teens might not be 100% of our population but they’re 100% of our future and we need to start paying attention to what they are doing. It starts out with a little weed smoking casually then gradually it gets to an addiction engulfing their world and they need more so they look to prescription pills and that is where we get the trouble because the dealers have heroin readily available and for cheaper than the prescription pills. How many kids will lose their lives’ before we say enough is enough? In 2011, 4.2 million Americans aged 12 or older (or 1.6 percent) had used heroin at least once in their lives. Heroin is not a joke. Heroin is killing a whole generation and people are so nieve to think is won't happen to their teen or it won't happen to them.
Aired on 1 January 2009. 10 000 Riel and a Case of Wine Equivalent to around $2.50 - a paltry payout to displaced indigenous landholders in Cambodia, and also the name of a new documentary by a young Sydney film-maker. The documentary spolights some of the big players behind land-grabs in Cambodia; some transnational corporations fetching up to 100 million hectraes of land for aluminium smelters, logging and the like, leaving local communities without their livelihoods - but they're not going without a fight. SCAG and Direct Action Penalties The Chair of the Ministerial Council on Energy has asked the Standing Committee of Attourneys General, 'SCAG', to undertake a review of penalties that apply to unlawful disruption of energy facilities. The request emphasises, as a matter of urgency, the importance of protecting energy infrastructure and preserving energy security for "the Australian economy and way of life". This request comes alongside the Government's release of their 5% emissions reduction target and the expected demonstrations against what many are calling an inadequate response to climate change. NSW MP Lee Rhiannon spoke with The 3rd Degree's Libby King. Emissions Trading Schemes Following on from the release of the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme White Paper, we take a closer look at the merits of an emissions trading scheme, and paint what international context we can expect for 2009. Is an ETS essentially 'privatising the air'? What does it mean for global trade agreements? Will it further increase international inequalities? This Week's Guests: Tim Frewer, Sydney student and maker of '10 000 Riel' talks us through some horrifying Cambodian and international land and environment politics; Adam Wolfenden from the Australian Fair Trade and Investment Network (AFTINET) talks about discriminatory trade agreements and emissions trading schemes. And we all battle with hangovers. Happy New Year :) Presenters: Nick Hollins and Tessa Dowdell
