A.J. Jacobs (host of The Puzzler podcast and author of The Puzzler book) swaps tales of secret messages in the world of spycraft. But A.J. is an expert on many things, and another one of those areas is The U.S. Constitution (he's the author of the new-ish books The Year of Living Constitutionally). What are the conspiracy theories behind and about The Constitution? He also wrote The Year of Living Biblically, so there's stuff about that too. Long story short, it's a fascinating, multi-disciplinary adventure of an episode.

We have been all over Occult Philosophy, and explored everything from its historical context to its complex cosmology and fascinating theories on divine light. In all of the previous episodes, I have suggested chapters in Occult Philosophy that could be read to accompany your listening experience. But not this time! My guests and I will be mentioning quite a few books that have resulted from Agrippa's influence, however, and I will make sure to list them in the show notes. Whether it be hidden messages transmitted around the world from the hundreds of operating number stations, or the bizarre illustrations on the sheepskin pages of a medieval manuscript, unsolved ciphers and codes have been a compelling source of mystery for centuries. In the annals of true crime, cold cases like the Zodiac killer and the Somerton man have inspired people from around the world to come together and take up the challenge of solving their peculiar riddles. From national intelligence agencies, to armchair enthusiasts, breakthroughs have been made by individuals from across the spectrum of experience. One similar case has largely managed to escape the limelight, however, that of a late 19th Century man whose true identity was never known, hanged for murdering his wife, who left the world a series of unsolved ciphers that promised to unmask the whole mysterious affair. Starting on Friday 13 we witnessed 3 shootings over 3 days, one of which involved 13 people being shot, and numerous 3s, all of which culminated in a blood moon. Ten days later another shooting occurred in Texas where 18 were shot, plus two teachers. Initial reports documented 13 students receiving care while two were transported, and a 3rd awaited transfer. The shooting took place 10 days after the Buffalo event that left 10 dead, and it occurred 10 years after Sandy Hook. Both shooters in New York and Texas were 18. Eighteen is the number of the blood moon and crab, the specified food eaten by macaque monkeys in the CDC truck crash in early 2022. Ten is also the tetrakyte, a number of perfection that completes a ritual. The monkey is chaos, unguided irrational hysteria blossoming from the unconscious, and it can only mimic. Monkeypox is mimicking the previous pandemic with the same terminology and mitigation that became the new normal. All of these murders, holy days, and numerical ciphers are being shown to us right before elections across the country. This makes Batman seem like a bit of a predictive programming tool because this is precisely what the Riddler was doing in the newest movie. Batman with the Joker was also playing during the Aurora, Colorado, shooting, and Sandy Hook was noted on a map in the Batman movie with Bane. Both events were paralleled with music videos respectively depicting dead bodies in a movie theater and young people dying. With the latest school shooting, CBS has now pulled their tv show FBI which was set to finish its season with a school shooting.

The Beale Papers were a text published in 1885 that contained three ciphers that supposedly relay the location, content, and ownership of a treasure hidden in the mountains of Virginia.  Over the years only one cipher has been decoded through the use of the Declaration of Independence as a book key.  This cipher noted the content of the treasure.  However, no one has successfully decoded either of the other two which most importantly denote the treasure's location.  Is the treasure real?  Are the ciphers just a hoax that continues to live on?  Take a listen and find out about the Beale Treasure.

Subconscious Realms Episode 25 - Hermetic Order Of The Golden Dawn - Lux Rising Podcast. Ladies & Gentlemen, it's a great Privilege & Honour to have such an Astonishing Opportunity indeed. We have the Host & Creator of - The Lux Rising Podcast, Lux! Who's also the Co-Host & Co-Creator of The Occult Rejects!! The Absolute Pinnacle of Podcasts. Lux being a former member of the Golden Dawn & in the 10 years served so to speak, you can only imagine the Level of Knowledge Lux obtained in such said time. "All Hail". You already know what to expect, Brace yourself & prepare to have your Brain Re-Worked. In London 1887, there began the formation of a secret society, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Its purpose was the practice of magic, the study of the occult & the secret engagement with the paranormal. All activities that had the potential to scandalize the predominantly Christian society of Victorian England. By the turn of the century, the organization would count among its members some of the most prominent artists & intellectuals of the day, all partaking in the esoteric practice of ritual magic. Amid inner strife & factionalism, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn had all but disbanded by 1903. But the legacy of the secret society continues to be felt, the relatively small group is known today for the immense effect it had on some of its most famous members & for its central importance in the workings of magical organizations right up to present day. Though Victorian society was famously puritanical, it was also deeply curious about the mystical aspects of human existence & the forces at work in the world. According to the academic A. Butler, "All sorts of respectable men & women were dabbling in dubious pastimes such as ritual magic & attempting to communicate with the dead." Butler's book, Victorian Occultism & the Making of Modern Magic, lists communication with Angels, interplanetary travel, mystical healing & on rare occasions, the ability to cause bodily harm to others as desired outcomes for magical practice. But more common than these eccentric hopes was something more fitting with the stereotypical view of Victorian society, the need for spiritual advancement. "Men and women across Britain were joining magical societies in an attempt to evolve into their 'true selves,'" says Butler. "They believed that ancient wisdom passed down over centuries through cabalistic, Hermetic, Alchemical & Occult sources held the key for individuals to gain access to their divine beings." New advancements in metaphysics & the dawning of humanity's understanding of evolution invited a new appraisal of religious orthodoxy that, while not skeptical in the secular sense, invited more eccentric, less conventional investigation of spirituality. The Theosophical Society and practitioners of Freemasonry had both long sought to further the spiritual development of members by engaging with mystical symbols & rituals, prefiguring the activities of magical societies like the Golden Dawn. The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn owes its origins to a single text, the mysterious Cipher Manuscripts. This 56-folio bundle of encoded writings in black ink on cotton paper was watermarked 1809, according to the Thelemagick Library. The origins of the Ciphers have been debated ever since they came to light in the mid-1880s. In a time when esoteric texts were rare, and many books were still printed in small quantities & hand-bound, it was common for documents to be shared among like-minded members of the same groups & societies. As such, the actual author of the Ciphers is still unknown, but they came into the possession of one William Wynn Westcott, a Freemason & member of the Societas Rosicruciana. *Lux - Twitter # @LuxAeth / https://www.spreaker.com/show/lux-rising . Co-hosts Lisa Greenwood and Casper ter Kuile talk with Emmanuel Andre, 2021 Locke Innovative Leader Award Winner. Emmanuel prefers to be known as a “Community Defender” instead of a “Defense Attorney,” which says a lot about his approach to his work both inside and outside the courtroom. Restorative justice is more than a program. It is a way of being to Emmanuel, who believes transformation is possible if love is offered unconditionally while walking alongside another. Emmanuel's non-profit organization Circles and Ciphers walks alongside young people impacted by violence through hip-hop and art-based peace circles that provide space for conversations and community support to promote healing from trauma. Emmanuel's story of how the church has walked alongside him from his childhood until now is a testimony to the church's power to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and communities. This conversation is simply inspirational from beginning to end and invites us all to consider our responsibility to create spaces where hope and healing can flourish and those who feel unseen can find friends.   QUOTES “It's about relationships, not transactions.” -Emmanuel Andre [18:42] “There is something that happens when you're willing to be uncomfortable and stay in relationship with.
