After 10 years have passed, Sidney Prescott is haunted again by the Ghostface Killer when her cousin becomes a target. The last movie we are discussing in Sequel September is Scream 4. Wes Craven comes back with a banger as this film continues the fun of having charming characters centered around an entertaining mystery. As we come to expect from Scream movies, the writing is very clever and the parody is hilarious. The movie has a strong cast who put together great performances and make the film one of the best in the series. Two years after the Woodsboro Massacre events of the original Scream (Episode 299), but barely a year later in real life, someone has taken their love of sequels one step too far and the students of Windsor College are targeted by the Ghostface Killer in; Scream 2 (1997) Wes, Nev, Cox, Arquette, Kennedy and Williamson re-team to do to sequels what the original did for the slasher genre. Brose knows there are certain rules that one must abide by in order to create a successful sequel. Stu will ensure the body count is bigger! Shaun will make sure the death scenes are more elaborate - more blood, more gore! And Cable must never, ever, under any circumstances, assume the killer is dead. Whaaaat Stu's back? Didn't he leave to make his own podcast about online shooters? Anyway, this week the boys talk about all kinds of weird and wonderful things, including that bloody “be a man” thing he was on about when it all went wrong! We also look the Uruk Hai's side hustle in sex toys, discuss which podcast hosts would most likely be the Ghostface Killer in a Scream movie, and Stu drops a rather controversial opinion about a certain ghostly holiday! Why not drop in and see what bloody nonsense is going on, eh? Go on, do it!
On this episode, the guys argue about Wes Craven's slasher classic, Scream (1996, USA), while also trying to root out the "killer" who is hiding among them.
IT'S GONNA BE A SCREAM! Jon and Shady are joined with Jayson Kerr to look at Scream vs. Scream 4 (or Scre-four-m as Shady calls it). Will they survive the episode without the Ghostface Killer getting them? Do they follow the rules to podcasting that Shady lays out? Is Kirby alive?!? It's Halloween season, and you know what that means... it's about time we take a trip to Woodsboro and see if we have what it takes to defeat GhostFace Killer once and for all (Not the Wu-Tang one... we already know how that'd end). "Scream" is a 1996 horror film where Wes Craven re-invented and revitalized the slasher genre. This modern horror classic manages to be funny, clever and scary all at the same time... and more importantly, it also stars Skeet Ulrich. --------- Support the Show & get access to all-new exclusive episodes at www.patreon.com/DisasterArtists Grab some merch & support the show at https://www.teepublic.com/stores/disasterartists Join the conversation on Discord https://t.co/xHV8gjiqmM?amp=1 Follow us on Twitterhttps://twitter.com/DisasterArtists Follow us on Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/disasterartists/ Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/DisasterArtists/ Subscribe on YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPoo2pc6CLnIDXw7iNox6ng

Episode 29 sees Andy and Mitch guestless yet again following a cancellation. However, not ones to miss a release day, your intrepid hosts go mano a mano again, this time, chosen by Mitch. His chosen film? Scream 4! It's been over a decade since the revelations of Scream 3. Horror film director Roman Bridger is Sidney Prescott's half-brother and the newest Ghostface, stalking actors on the set of film-within-a-film, Stab 3. Scream 3, it's fair to say, is woeful. Not even the amazing Parker Posey can save it from being a convoluted mess, lost in the very things it is trying to lampoon. Cut forward 10 years. Wes Craven's final outing before his death. Scream 4. A Scream film for a new generation. As the tagline says, "New decade. New rules" but is that the case? Or is it just more of the same from a franchise that didn't need extending? Mitch likes it. Is he right? The synopsis is as follows: It has been many years since the Ghostface Killer cut a deadly path through the town of Woodsboro. In order to get over the trauma of those horrific events, Sidney Prescott has written a self-help book. She returns to Woodsboro for her book tour and reconnects with old friends Gale Weathers and Sheriff Dewey Riley. However, Sidney's arrival also sparks the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney and everyone she loves in danger. Please note that this podcast contains strong language and Scottish accents.
Selector Dubee discovered a passion for the stage at an early age. In the fifth grade he played Demetrius in his schools production of A Midsummer's Night Dream. Coming of age in the 80s presented a great outlet for that desire to entertain. Captivated by Hip-Hop culture and its musical score, he started break-dancing at 15. Thus began his search for a medium where he could marry a great stage presence and love of music. Dubee spent his college years in the Green Mountains of Vermont, performing in the Johnson State College theater and hosting a weekly radio show. These days were still all about the hip-hop...After a stint on the lively scene in Burlington, Vermont - a very music-friendly community, he linked up with Infinite and rocked the local club and party scene, using the closeness of family and the power of music to feed the hungry little city. "DJ Dubee" opened for artists including Raekwon, Ghostface Killer, Capadonna, and Black Moon.Infinite was rich with wisdom and bestowed on Dubee a connectedness that he really needed. It was through his new family that Dubee aligned himself with a true sound system, and is forever grateful to Clint, Universal and the whole Retribution Crew Sound, Brooklyn, NY.Always a crowd-pleaser, Dubee loves to create an excellent vibe, and it became imperative to deliver a powerful message with the music. With Burlington's huge Dancehall scene, and the evolution of hip-hop to hip-pop, Dubee found himself drawn to Dancehall Reggae.Born in Bridgeport, CT (1973), Dubee never forgot his roots, hes returned to explore a bigger scene and get some exposure in NYC - while founding Burn Dem Up Productions with Eddie "Smoke" Jack
