We celebrate the anniversaries of three Fayetteville spots: Mockingbird Kitchen, Baked by Kori and the Feral Pig! We'll hear what the winner of the Natural State Beer Company's First Annual Chili Cookoff had in his chili! Roger Gildehaus started in retail right out of high school and at the age of 24, worked his way into becoming a Walmart store manager. Sam Walton hand-picked Roger to be the store manager of a prototype Walmart in Pine Bluff, and you'll hear the story of how that happened. Roger worked his way up to being a VP in the company, and that's when he started Macadoodles in Pineville, Missouri. He'll tell you what sparked him to open at the border- and it's not as obvious as you might think. Also, Roger tells the story about why Guess Who in Bentonville isn't named Macadoodles... Guest Liturgist & Preacher: Lorraine & Chris Harry This Sunday we join Lorraine and Chris Harry on Chris' sermon "Bon Appétit: Meals Worth Remembering, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner." Chris and Lorraine Harry have served as campus ministers at The Claremont Colleges since 2004 and 2000, respectively. The group they staff, Claremont Christian Fellowship, is a queer-affirming, justice-seeking, question-loving community, with students from all seven colleges. They both majored in English at Pomona College, and Chris also holds a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. They live in Claremont with their 16-year-old daughter, Audrey, and beloved cat, Momo. In addition to their career in ministry, Lorraine works in communications at Pomona College, and Chris runs an electronics import business.

Today on another encore episode of the Rarified Heir Podcast we are talking to Katherine Kramer, daughter of producer/director Stanley Kramer. Our chat with Katherine or Kat was both edifying and easy as we had familial connections and we learned a few things in the process. Such as? Well how about what famous actress was she named after, where in the Western United States did her family move to once they left Hollywood and what films made her father a bankable director while he was still producing. We also spoke about some of his films, many of them 'message' films such as Guess Who's Coming To Dinner, Judgement at Nuremberg, The Defiant Ones and a small, off-beat comedy called It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World which co-starred Edie Adams, our host's Josh Mills's mother. In all, Stanley Kramer's films garnered 80 Academy Awards and starred everyone from Spencer Tracy to Sidney Pointier, Marlon Brando and so many, many more. Kat talked to us about her work as well – in terms of both her charity events and her film festivals, her one woman show about Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, her creepy house growing up, The Kennedy Assassination and much more.
