In this episode, I'm sharing something I have never done before on the podcast. I'm spilling the tea on how to achieve copper hair colour with a special audio recording from one of my recent live masterclasses. I've just wrapped up teaching 3 live online classes for hairdressers. I'm so thrilled that we had more than 2,000 hairdressers and salon owners register to attend. That makes a total of approximately 10,000 Hairdressers who have attended my livestream classes in the last couple of years, and learned about my world-renowned approach to hair painting for reds and copper hair colouring. So I've done something a little different for this episode. This is an expiring podcast episode. This will be something you can only listen to for a few days before I remove it from all the listening apps. In my online class, I announced that my all-time favourite online program Hair Painting for Redheads is currently on sale with an incredible $200 off the regular price. That's reduced from $795 to $595. This podcast is the audio recording of my most loved live online class ‘How to Achieve Copper Hair Colour without Red or Root Glow'. I'll be sharing this podcast for as long as the VIP Masterclass sale is on and this will expire (just like the class replay does) when my special price ends on Monday 29th April Click this link to enrol now and learn more about my online program Hair Painting for Redheads. After listening to this podcast you will know: The secret to creating a Classic Copper that clients seeking a “natural-looking” hair colour will love. How to avoid unwanted Red tones in Copper hair colours using the unique 5-6-7-8 levelling system that works with every single hair colour brand. Grey coverage formulas for copper hair colours on clients that are 25-100% grey seeking consistency and coverage without root glow. The Art of Copper Hair Colour strategies to boost your confidence in the salon, including when to choose a semi-permanent versus permanent, and when to add concentrates or boosters for customised formulations. Today, we will be chatting about all things hair when it comes to colour analysis. I get so many questions from my students and women online when it comes to hair and how it influences our colouring as well as our colour analysis results - so let's dive in! Now, before I jump into some of the common questions, let's first discuss some solid principles to keep in mind: Your natural hair colour will always be in line with your colour palette. What grows out of your head is always the best colour for you and will harmonize with your colour results; they will not compete. The last principle is the same for when we grey/white. Just because you change your hair colour doesn't change your colour analysis result. Your hair colour will be found in your palette. Why? Because in order for a palette to harmonize with you, you and it have to have the same colour characteristics. You're mirroring your biology in colours. Questions will examine: Can blondes be winters? Where does black hair fall? Can redheads be cool-toned? What if I have dark hair? What happens when our hair changes colour? As a hairdresser, I understand there's a lot of misleading or contradictory information about hair colour formulations. It's time to stop sacrificing brightness and tone with fashion colours for grey coverage and vice versa. It's also time to stop blaming the brand you use. In this podcast episode, I'll share the Secret why choosing Gold instead of a Natural Base is not your best option for Fashion colour Grey Coverage, including Redheads! To achieve consistent and predictable grey coverage results, always opt for 'N' in grey coverage, including for Redheads! 'N' is more predictable than using 'G'. Most 'N' series already contain Gold, so in fact, you're already using some Gold when you opt for this. If you have a Redhead grey coverage request and choose to use 'Gold' you might get grey coverage. You might also get Root Glow. You will definitely get more Gold than desirable and probably end up needing to correct it with toners. Don't do it! Gold is a “NO” from me. Whatever the percentage of grey your client has is the percentage of ‘Natural' or Base colour you will need to cover their greys successfully. Trust me. That works. I've built my wildly successful haircolour business by becoming the go-to girl when Redheads find their first grey. Hair Transplant Podcast - HAIR TALK with Dr.John Watts Hair Transplant Surgeon and Dermatologist
#AskDrJohnWatts Different questions related to baldness, hair grafts, hair loss, hair transplant procedures and medical treatments for hair loss are being raised by patients now and then, including the followers of Dr John Watts, who keep flooding his series of hugely popular educational videos on his popular YouTube channel with queries related to different hair issues. In this video session, Hyderabad's noted dermatologist & trichologist and one of the Best Hair Transplant Surgeons in Hyderabad, Dr John Watts answers a specific query on the adverse consequences of using hair dye or hair colouring gel on transplanted hair. So far, Dr John Watts has performed over 2000+ hair transplant surgeries successfully. Krishna B asks: Sir, I want to know if using hair dye or hair colour gel can damage transplanted hair or affect its growth. Please explain Hair dye and hair colour gel are cosmetic products that are often used to change the colour of hair but being chemicals based, they can damage both transplanted hair as well as non-transplanted hair. “While these products can be a great way to experiment with new looks and styles, they come with risks. One major risk with the use of hair dye or hair colour gel is hair loss or thinning, particularly in individuals who have undergone hair transplant surgery,” said Dr John Watts. How they can harm? Usually, the transplanted hair grows normally and one can cut or shave one's scalp. They grow normally under usual circumstances. However, the chemicals in hair dye can affect the hair in several ways. Firstly, they can damage the hair shaft, causing it to become dry, brittle, and prone to breakage. This can lead to hair loss over time, especially if the hair is already weakened or damaged by other factors. Secondly, the chemicals in hair dye can penetrate the scalp and damage the hair follicles, which can lead to hair thinning or even permanent hair loss. Besides the above side effects caused by hair dye, transplanted hair can also suffer damage or they may start thinning in the following conditions. They include issues like hormonal imbalance. Hormonal imbalance, if not treated with medication, can also lead to hair loss or thinning. Similarly, some types of cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, can damage the hair follicles and lead to hair thinning or loss. “Alopecia Aereata is another cause that can also lead to hair thinning or hair fall of the transplanted hair unless they are treated with proper medication,” informed Dr John Watts, while urging the viewers to share the video among their friends to raise awareness about the impact of hair dye on the transplanted hair and its growth. Trichos provides state-of-the-art treatment for various hair loss conditions and offers advanced hair transplant solutions. Call us Today for a Life-Changing Experience.

Hair Transplant Podcast - HAIR TALK with Dr.John Watts Hair Transplant Surgeon and Dermatologist
Venkat Reddy P asks: “What is the best hair colour/dye? I am 28 years old. Dr John Watts tells Venkat Reddy to shun the use of chemical colours/ hair dye as they can do more damage in the long run. Overuse of hair dye can lead to hair thinning and eventually may result in baldness again. “They may also lead to sensitivity reactions besides causing hair damage,” said Dr John Watts, while advising him to use organic hair dye instead. One can use henna as hair dye. “If you need dark colour, you can keep the henna mixed paste in an iron vessel for 2 hours. Then apply it to your hair,” said Dr John Watts. I’m kind of scared to say this, because I know it’s something that makes a lot of Salon Owner’s eyes roll… That’s right, today we’re talking about home hair colour. And I know you might be thinking, “But Larissa, you used to be a hairdresser, why are you talking about home hair colour!?” OK, let me explain… The stigma around home hair colour is something that’s circulated our industry for years… like, I get it. Why do your hair at home when you can come in and be pampered in my amazing salon… right?! Right. But did you know that only 20% of people actually go to Salons? There’s a reason why supermarket haircare brands are so successful… and so I think it’s time we tapped into this market a little more, and started breaking the stigma around home hair colour. Why miss out on that 80% of clients when there’s a way home hair colour can be done WELL… with a proper consultation from a qualified hairdresser and everything. That’s why today I’m chatting to Karen Anne from Della Ricca Hair Colour. Della Ricca Hair Colour is an at home colour company done RIGHT. Wondering if haircolour formulas are the secrets for success as a colourist ? Let's answer that question. Haircolor Formulas are your intellectual property as a Hairdresser. Recipes with mixing ratios are important to record for every client at every visit to ensure we can maintain or change colours as needed. Formulas are not just recipes though! There’s a lot more things to factor into a formula than a simple recipe, which is why it's so important to understand how to formulate before painting hair. The 4 key themes discussed in this podcast are; Haircolour Formulas are NOT the same as recipes Beware of reading formulas on Instagram & copying them without understanding the why Tips to make money from new client requests in the DM's using video call technology A recipe for success is to always weigh and measure colours ------ SHOW NOTES of this episode and resources https://www.kristinarussell.com.au/48 DM KRISTINA ON INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/colourkristinatalkspodcast WANT TO LEARN HOW TO HAIR PAINT FOR REDHEADS? How can we tone our hair between salon visits? In this special bonus Ask An Expert episode, beauty writer Gemma Watts is joined by award winning hairdresser Yoshi Su. Have you ever thought about dying your hair back to it's natural colour for your wedding day? This bride to be did exactly that! After trying on wedding dress after wedding dress she wasn't finding the perfect one to suit her red hair! I'm a massive lover of red hair, something that Kirsty and I share in common. This episode I found quite interesting from that point alone. I can't imagine not having red hair, if anything I may be inclined to tone it down a bit but I can't imagine dying it a totally different colour. I just wouldn't look and feel like me. www.tonidarcy.co.uk

Surprise! We're in your ears again for another bonus episode and this time, we're talking colour matching. What is the right way to test out a new foundation? In this episode Leigh shares the correct lighting to be in and even which part of your face you should be testing your foundation to make sure you get a perfect match. Plus as the seasons change, we tend to change our hair colour with it. But does a drastic change in our hair mean we have to change our makeup too? Or is there an easier way to not looking washed out. CREDITS Hosts:Leigh Campbell and Kelly McCarren Producer:Rachael Hart GET IN TOUCH: You Beauty is a podcast by Mamamia. Today we’re talking hair colour with a French master. The colourist behind Tilda Swinton, Vanessa Paradis and Catherine Deneuve’s perfect colour and healthy shine— it’s Christophe Robin! Christophe was the long-time magic man behind all the big L’Oréal Paris hair colour ad campaigns, plus the hands responsible for 90’s supermodels’ sparkling manes. They all went to Christophe to get this signature look: natural radiance without compromising the health of hair. (Except for that one angry model who did something completely outré when Christophe committed a hair colour faux pas once… and he’s spilling the tea!) Find out how he started working in hair at the tender age of 14 and then at just 24, debuted his own salon, dedicated solely to hair colour. It was the first of its kind in Paris. Shortly after, he launched his eponymous line with the aim of solving the issues he observed from behind the chair. Mixing up salt-water solutions to help sensitized scalps post-dyeing, or vinegar to balance the pH alkalinity, these are the hand-spun fixes he would build on to create his luxury formulations for women to use at home. Today, his Cleansing Purifying Scrub With Sea Salt is a best-seller and, as we can attest, the colour-safe detoxifying scrub keeps roots feeling clean for 3-5 days. Having introduced the rest of the world to the concept of scalp exfoliation, Christophe makes customer education top priority in his salon, now located on rue Bachaumont in Paris. Don’t miss the guru’s no-filter take on vegetable hair colour; dry shampoo ‘don’ts’; how to tweak your hair colour to make dark under eye circles less obvious; and a hack for taking your hair colour down a notch if you return from the salon a tad too dark. *Disclaimer: Unless otherwise stated, all products reviewed are gratis media samples submitted for editorial consideration.* Hosts: Carlene Higgins and Jill Dunn Theme song, used with permission: Cherry Bomb by Saya For any products mentioned in this episode, check out: www.breakingbeautypodcast.com/blog Get social with us and let us know what you think of the episode! www.Instagram.com/breakingbeautypodcast www.Twitter.com/BreakingBtyPod Join our private Facebook group Please rate and review us in Apple Podcasts
