13.000 cv's gedropt met exact dezelfde kwaliteiten, enkel een andere huidskleur. De uitkomst toont aan dat mensen met een niet witte huidskleur 117% minder kans maken! Sharda Alibux, lid van team open hiring Start Foundation en verantwoordelijk voor New business development bij de NIM, houdt zich bezig met relevante bedrijven aan boord krijgen om de diversiteit en inclusiviteit binnen de organisatie te monitoren. Hoe divers is de groep werknemers, heeft iedereen het naar zijn zin, hoe is het werk klimaat. Veel bedrijven doen veel aan D&I, maar de resultaten zijn marginaal. Tijdens de sollicitatie gesprekken worden er nog steeds tenenkrommende vragen en vooroordelen op tafel gelegd! ook in deze aflevering is de verbazing weer duidelijk te horen en krijgt Sharda de mannen sprakeloos. Hoe wordt inclusiviteit en diversiteit binnen een organisatie geregeld en hoe ervaren medewerkers dit. In deze aflevering is onze gast Jojanneke van der Toorn. Zij is Bijzonder Hoogleraar Inclusie aan de Universiteit Leiden en  universitair hoofddocent sociale en organisatie psychologie aan Universiteit Utrecht.  Daarnaast is zij ook Expert bij de Nederlandse Inclusiviteits Monitor (NIM). Als we het hebben over diversiteit en inclusie dan zien we dat er bij doorstroom en uitstroom beleid weinig aandacht aan gegeven wordt. 55% van de organisaties voeren een exit gesprek, 15% stelt ook vragen over inclusiviteit en 10% houdt redenen bij van specifieke groepen. Diversiteit in je organisatie is noodzakelijk, maar het is gek dat het nog steeds niet vanzelf gebeurt. Bij Het Rode Kruis is er een diversiteitsplan met 10 onderwerpen om diverser te worden. De hulpvraag verandert en je wilt er niet alleen in crisis zijn, maar ook wanneer mensen je nodig hebben. Heleen van den Berg, Directeur Nationale Hulp bij Het Rode Kruis Nederland, neemt ons mee in de wereld van de hulpverlening en hoe belangrijk diversiteit daar is. Hoe fijn het is dat iemand die hulp nodig heeft, aangesproken kan worden in zijn of haar eigen taal. Maak iedereen zichtbaar! We zijn met z'n allen 1 maatschappij en het is heel belangrijk die afspiegeling intern ook te hebben. Het wordt er namelijk ook veel leuker van. We moeten gaan kijken vanuit de arbeidsgeschiktheid in plaats van de arbeidsongeschiktheid. Onze zorgstaat is met de beste bedoelingen opgezet, maar zorgt op dit moment eerder voor exclusie dan voor inclusie. Een kind met een visuele of auditieve beperking, gaat in ons land al snel naar speciaal onderwijs. Onze gast van deze aflevering Daan de Kort, Tweede Kamerlid voor de VVD met een portefeuille van Sociale Zaken en Werkgelegenheid, verloor zelf op zijn 15e een groot deel van zijn gezichtsvermogen. Hij heeft zelf geleerd om te kijken naar zijn talenten in plaats van wat hij niet kan en vecht er nu ook voor om meer naar talenten te gaan kijken. Veel mensen met een arbeidsbeperking in onze samenleving zouden graag aan de slag willen, maar durven het risico niet te nemen. Het zou zo moeten zijn dat als jij arbeidsongeschikt bent en je wilt toch de stap wagen om de arbeidsmarkt in te gaan, dat je de zekerheid moet hebben om terug te kunnen vallen op de uitkering wanneer het niet lukt. Inclusiviteit is misschien nog te nauw en moeten we het eigenlijk hebben over expansie. Inclusieve arbeid en mensen die niet zelfstandig in staat zijn het minimumloon te verdienen met alle stempels die er tegenwoordig op mensen gedrukt kunnen worden. Mohamed el Mokaddem, voorheen wethouder gemeente Westland, nu voorzitter van Cedris en oprichter van Moveda geeft bij ons aan tafel aan dat we nu ons boeren verstand moeten gaan gebruiken en alles niet zo ingewikkeld moeten maken en positiever moeten maken. Op dit moment werken er in Nederland 100,000 mensen via de sociale werkbedrijven. Zij zijn conitinu bezig om de kloof tussen werkzoekenden en de arbeidsmarkt kleiner te maken.  Ze zorgen ervoor dat mensen werkfit kunnen worden en uren opbouwen om uiteindelijk de stap naar de arbeidsmarkt te kunnen maken. This is one hell of an episode!    Simon is the Founder and Chairman (former CEO) of La Fosse Associates, a tech recruitment business headquartered in London UK with 215 staff across multiple offices.    Launched in 2007 at home with the help of his wife at the time, Simon continued his CIO recruitment practice he had started at Harvey Nash and began to generate business.    Simon had the foresight to open up 40% of the shares in the business and leave them to be allocated to ALL staff members who would join him on the journey!    Now over 200 people with a clear plan to reach 500, its probably safe to say this plan has worked pretty well indeed.    A very humble man with a great story to tell, there are so many great lessons you can pick up from this episode!
