(STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor presents its Final Battle pay-per-view tonight. It's the last show before ROH goes on a months-long hiatus - Jonathan Gresham has a new opponent…after ROH World Champion Bandido was pulled from the show due to a positive COVID-19 test. Gresham will now face Jay Lethal…who jumped to AEW a few weeks ago. This match will NOT be for the ROH World Title. Bandido remains the champ…at least, for now. More on that in a moment. Gresham/Lethal is part of a double main event tonight. The other half is The OGK defending the ROH Tag Titles against The Briscoes. Rok-C defends the ROH Women's Title against Willow. Brain Johnson challenges Josh Woods for the Pure Title. Dalton Castle defends the TV Title in a 4-Way against Rhett Titus, Silas Young and Joe Hendry. Chelsea Green & The Hex vs. The Allure & Miranda Alize. Plus, a 10-Man Wildcard Tag Team Match - where the participants have yet to be announced. ROH says it will address the world title situation during the Hour One pre-show. Also on the pre-show, The Soldiers Of Savagery & O'Shay Edwards defend the ROH 6-Man Titles against The Righteous. That's free on ROH's YouTube and Facebook starting at 7PM Eastern. The main show begins at 8PM. (STINGER: AEW) The Lucha Brothers are STILL the AEW Tag Team Champions. The beat FTR on Friday night's Rampage. We witnessed the in-ring debut of HOOK. The son of Taz beat Fuego Del Sol, using his dad's old Tazmission submission hold to finish off Fuego. Adam Cole beat Wheeler Yuta…there was a big brawl with Orange Cassidy and the Best Friends after the match. It ended with the SuperKliq hitting Trent with a triple BTE Trigger. Also on the show, Nyla Rose, The Bunny & Penelope Ford beat Ruby Soho, Tay Conti & Anna Jay. Rose pinned Jay with the Beast Bomb after The Bunny hit Jay with a pair of brass knuckles. Deville had Natalya and Shayna Baszler as her backup. They surrounded Naomi…but that's when Xia Li made her SmackDown debut and saved Naomi. Johnny Gargano is now a free agent. He announced the launch of his own store on Pro Wrestling Tees. Gargano tweeted he'll also be putting out content on YouTube and Twitch. Kyle O'Reilly reportedly is also now a free agent. They'll face EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi…and if they win, they'll guarantee themselves a spot in Wednesday's final. A loss opens the door for Great-O-Khan & Aaron Henare. They'll face the Guerrillas Of Destiny. (STINGER: WWE) Expect some fallout from Thursday's Crown Jewel pay per view on tonight's SmackDown. Roman Reigns is STILL the Universal Champion coming out of Crown Jewel. He took advantage of a knocked-out referee, hit Brock Lesnar in the head with the title belt and pinned him to retain the gold. That title belt was slid into the ring by Paul Heyman, but who it was intended for was left...deliberately vague. Tonight's SmackDown is also the first WWE show with the new post-Draft rosters now in effect...and the situation involving the two women's singles championships on WWE's main roster remains a bit of a mess. Becky Lynch is still the SmackDown Women's Champion. She pinned Sasha Banks with a rollup while holding the bottom rope to win a 3-Way over Banks and Bianca Belair. So, Lynch is now officially part of the Raw roster, despite holding the SmackDown Women's Title...while Charlotte Flair is now on the SmackDown roster while holding the Raw Women's Title. We still don't know what WWE is going to do about this. Getting back to Crown Jewel...Big E hit the Big Ending and pinned Drew McIntyre to retain the WWE Championship. Xavier Woods is the King Of The Ring. He pinned Finn Balor with a springboard elbow drop. Zelina Vega is the first winner of the Queen's Crown tournament. She pinned Doudrop with a Code Red after about six minutes of action. Goldberg pinned Bobby Lashley to win their No Holds Barred match...after Goldberg speared Lashley off the stage. Edge beat Seth Rollins in their Hell In A Cell showdown. Mansoor beat Mustafa Ali. After the match, Tarek Hamdi, an Olympic silver medalist for Saudi Arabia in taekwondo, showed up and knocked out Ali. Randy Orton & Riddle beat AJ Styles & Omos to retain the Raw Tag Titles. Styles took the pin. The Usos beat Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander on the kickoff show. On Thursday's NXT UK… Jordan Devlin pinned Joe Coffey with the Devlin Side in the main event. Aleah James pinned Xia Brookside with a diving sunset flip from the second rope. Xia was NOT happy about this result. Jack Starz & Dave Mastiff got a DQ win over Symbiosis after Eddie Dennis attacked Starz with a steel chair. (STINGER: AEW) AEW's World Title Eliminator Tournament begins on tonight's Rampage...with Orange Cassidy vs. Powerhouse Hobbs. The TBS Championship Tournament bracket will be revealed. Also, AEW Women's Champion Dr. Britt Baker vs. Anna Jay… And Andrade El Idolo vs. Pac. (STINGER: New Japan) The biggest story to come out of Thursday may be one we didn't expect - the surprise in-ring return of Katsuyori Shibata. It happened just after the intermission of New Japan's G1 Climax Final show. Just about everyone was stunned to see Shibata walk out for an unannounced exhibition match against Zack Sabre Jr. Wearing little more than shorts and sneakers, the two grappled their way to a time limit draw after a mere FIVE minutes of action. This was NOT a hard-hitting match...but for fans of Shibata...it was something...and the hope that there may be more to come. Shibata was forced into retirement by a head injury, suffered during a match back in 2017. The G1 Climax final itself...was a bit of a buzzkill. Kota Ibushi injured his right arm when he missed a Phoenix Splash. It was ruled that Ibushi could not continue...and Kazuchika Okada was declared the G1 winner. (STINGER: Impact) Impact Wrestling last night put the final pieces in place for Saturday's Bound For Glory pay per view. The Good Brothers will defend the Impact Tag Titles in a 3-Way against BOTH FinJuice AND Bullet Club's Chris Bey & Hikuleo. The challenging teams met last night - but the match ended in a double pin...after two referees ended up in the ring and both counted a pinfall. The six wrestlers who will meet on Saturday to decide the first Impact Digital Media Champion came together for a 3-Way Tag Team Match last night. John Skyler & Tenille Dashwood beat Crazzy Steve & Chelsea Green and Jordynne Grace & Fallah Bahh. Dashwood pinned Fallah Bahh after hitting him with the Spotlight Kick. Also last night...Mickie James pinned Savannah Evans with her signature DDT. Trey Miguel beat Alex Zayne. AND Brian Myers kicked Sam Beale and Manny Lemons out from under his Learning Tree. W. Morrissey beat Jake Something on Before The Impact. (STINGER: ROH) It's all Violence Unlimited vs. The Foundation on this weekend's Ring Of Honor TV. Jay Lethal goes one on one with Homicide. Plus, Tony Deppen vs. Rhett Titus...and Brody King & Chris Dickinson vs. Jonathan Gresham & HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, October 22. Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, July 10, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on WrestleMap.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: desk@justprowrestlingnews.com. We'll get into the big events coming up this weekend in a moment, but first... (STINGER: WWE) WWE has lost a top star to a major injury. Bayley will be out of action for approximately 9 months after hurting her knee. WWE said it happened during a training session on Friday. Bayley was set to challenge Bianca Belair for the Smackdown Women's Championship in an “I Quit” Match at Money In The Bank. Obviously, that will NOT be happening now. Instead, Belair's title defense will be moved up to next Friday's SmackDown - the first in front of LIVE fans since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Her challenger will be Carmella. Now...Carmella was set to be in the women's Money In The Bank ladder match. But she's now out of that match and will be replaced by Liv Morgan. The final two entrants in the men's Money In The Bank match were decided on last night's SmackDown. Seth Rollins qualified by pinning a bloodied Cesaro...and Shinsuke Nakamura is also in after he scored another win over Baron Corbin. At least three women from NXT are joining the SmackDown roster. Shotzi Blackheat & Tegan Nox debuted last night - announced simply as “Shotzi & Nox”. They were the surprise opponents for the WWE Women's Tag Champs Natalya & Tamina...and they got the win. Shotzi pinned Natalya after a senton from the top rope. The third call-up is Toni Storm. A hype video last night announced that she's “coming soon”. Jimmy Uso did appear on last night's SmackDown. He and brother Jey took a beating from Edge and the returning Rey and Dominik Mysterio at the end of the show. Jimmy Uso was arrested and charged with D.U.I. earlier this week. A formal arraignment is scheduled for later this month. We now know that WWE's Extreme Rules pay per view will be held on Sunday, September 26th...at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Major League Wrestling is back in front of live fans Saturday night at the 2300 Arena in bucolic and pastoral South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It's Battle Riot III. The Battle Riot match is a 40-man battle royal with wrestlers entering in 60-second intervals. Eliminations are by pinfall, submission or going out over the top rope to the floor. The winner gets a shot at the MLW Heavyweight Championship held by Jacob Fatu. Davey Richards is gonna make his MLW debut. He'll compete in the Riot match...and he'll also go one-on-one against TJP. Richard Holliday will defend the Carribean Championship against King Muertes. Cesar Duran - the former Dario Cueto - will be in attendance in Philly. Plus, a Bunkhouse Brawl between the Von Erichs and Team Filthy's Dominic Garrini & Kevin Ku. The show will be broadcast on BeIN SPORTS starting at 10PM Eastern. (STINGER: ROH) On Sunday, Ring Of Honor presents its Best In The World pay per view. Rush defends the ROH World Championship against Bandido. Jonathan Gresham puts the Pure Title on the line against Mike Bennett. Dragon Lee challenges Tony Deppens for the TV Title. HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams & Rhett Titus defend the ROH Tag Titles in a Fight Without Honor against Chris Dickinson & Homicide. Shane Taylor Promotions defend the 6-Man Tag Titles against the makeshift team of Dalton Castle, Dak Draper & Eli Isom. Plus, Brody King vs. Jay Lethal...EC3 vs. Flip Gordon...The Briscoes vs. Brian Johnson & PJ Black...and Josh Woods vs. Silas Young in a Last Man Standing Match. There will also be TWO matches on Hour One of Best In The World, which will be free to watch on multiple platforms: DEMONIC Flamita vs. Rey Horus...and PCO & Danhausen vs. The Bouncers. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: desk@justprowrestlingnews.com. (STINGER: AEW) Andrade El Idolo has arrived in AEW. He appeared live during a special Friday Night Dynamite last night...standing alongside Vickie Guerrero. QT Marshall & Anthony Ogogo beat Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson. QT pinned Cody after Ogogo delivered a right hand to Cody's jaw. Dustin Rhodes beat Nick Comoroto in a Bullrope Match - hitting a bulldog from the second rope and then tying up Comoroto's legs to get the pin. The Young Bucks opened the show with a win over Pac & Penta El Zero Miedo. Pac was rolled up for the pin after interference by Brandon Cutler. The Bucks' plans for a post-match beatdown were interrupted by Eddie Kingston. Jungle Boy & Christian Cage beat Private Party. After the match, Matt Hardy dropped Christian with a Twist Of Fate on the entrance ramp. Red Velvet served up Just Desserts to beat The Bunny. Miro will defend the TNT Championship on Dynamite next Friday night...against Dark Order's Evil Uno. Jake Hager challenged Wardlow to an MMA Cage Fight on Dynamite in two weeks. Kenny Omega will defend the AEW Championship against Jungle Boy on a special Saturday Night Dynamite on June 26th. (STINGER: WWE) The location of SummerSlam will be revealed on Saturday. It'll be announced during the Belmont Stakes pre-race show on NBC. We already know the show is set to be held on Saturday, August 21st. Bayley will get another shot at Bianca Belair's SmackDown Women's Title at Hell In A Cell. Belair challenged Bayley on last night's SmackDown...and Bayley accepted. We got not one - but TWO - SmackDown Tag Title matches last night! The show opened with Rey & Dominik Mysterio beating The Usos to retain the gold. Dominik reversed Jimmy Uso's top rope splash into a roll-up. Jimmy actually kicked out, but the ref was out of position and made the 3-count. That led to The Usos getting another shot at the tag belts in the main event. That match ended with Roman Reigns running in to cause a disqualification. Reigns battered Rey & Dominik with the ring steps after the match. That was too much for Jimmy. He walked out on Roman...but Jey was conflicted as the show ended. Apollo Crews pinned Kevin Owens after a Death Valley Driver on the ring apron to retain the Intercontinental Title. Owens was weakened before the match by a backstage attack by Commander Azeez. Sami Zayn showed up after the match to beat up on Owens a little more. King Corbin pinned Shinsuke Nakamura. It appeared Corbin had taken back his stolen crown too. But his escape was cut off by Rick Boogs...and Nakamura made off with the crown yet again. Also last night, Carmella beat Liv Morgan. (STINGER: ROH) HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams is recovering...after he was hit by a car. He tweeted a picture Friday, showing himself in a neck brace. He said he'll be okay...but didn't elaborate on his prognosis. Williams is one-half of the Ring Of Honor Tag Team Champions alongside Rhett Titus. They have a title defense against Dragon Lee and Kenny King coming up on next weekend's ROH TV. Presumably, that match already happened during the last ROH TV taping. The NWA's When Our Shadows Fall pay per view is coming up on Sunday. Nick Aldis defends the Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Trevor Murdoch. Kamille challenges Serena Deeb for the NWA Women's World Championship. Plus, Aron Stevens & Kratos defend their tag titles in a 3-Way against Chris Adonis & Thom Lattimer...and the War Kings - Crimson & Jax Dane. Some big shows in Japan are coming over the next fews days. The Cyber Fight Festival is Sunday in Japan. The start time for the show is just before midnight Eastern time in the U.S.on Saturday night. Three promotions are offering title matches on the show. From Pro-Wrestling NOAH...Keiji Muto defends the GHC Heavyweight Championship against Naomichi Marufuji. Jun Akiyama puts DDT Pro's KO-D Openweight Championship on the line against HARASHIMA. And Miyu Yamashita defends Tokyo Joshi Pro's Princess Of Princess Championship against Yuka Sakazaki. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan's Dominion show is coming up on Monday. The main event is Kazuchika Okada vs. Shingo Takagi for the vacant IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. El Desperado defends the IWGP Jr. Title against YOH. Plus, Kota Ibushi vs. Jeff Cobb. Chris Jericho responded to a report Friday that he is no longer under contract with New Japan. Jericho tweeted that he hasn't been under contract with the company since January of 2020. On last night's Strong…Satoshi Kojima teamed up with Karl Fredericks to beat Team Filthy's JR Kratos & Danny Limelight. Fredericks submitted Limelight with a single leg Boston Crab. KUSHIDA submitted Carmelo Hayes - the former Christian Casanova...and Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell beat Zoey Stark & Zayda Ramier. Kavita Devi was reportedly among a group of people released by WWE last month. But now, Devi is telling the Hindustan Times those reports are NOT accurate. Clark said his termination was the result of Speaking Out accusations against him...that surfaced more than a year ago. Clark gave a detailed account of his version of the events involving two of his accusers...calling their stories “baseless and untrue.” Charlotte Flair will get her one-on-one match against Rhea Ripley for the Raw Women's Championship...and it will happen at Hell In A Cell. The show ended with them reunited as their old Roppongi Vice theme played. Tonight's NWA Powerrr is being promoted as a “season finale”...with some big matches, including the one between Thunder Rosa and Kamille. The winner is the #1 contender for Serena Deeb's NWA Women's World Championship. There are added stakes for Thunder Rosa. If she loses, the Forbidden Door for her, is closed and locked. She can no longer wrestle anywhere other than the NWA. Also on the show...Aron Stevens and Kratos defend the NWA Tag Titles against the War Kings - Jax Dane & Crimson. A special welcome to those of you listening on OccupyProWrestling.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: desk@justprowrestlingnews.com. (STINGER: WWE) The NXT Championship is on the line tonight. Former champ Finn Balor gets his rematch against Karrion Kross. Also being promoted for tonight, Bobby Fish's first match since his return from injury. He's set to face Pete Dunne. Plus, Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai vs. Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon...the NXT in-ring debut of Franky Monet...and Cameron Grimes faces off with Ted DiBiase. Less than a week after he was released by WWE, the former Velveteen Dream - Patrick Clark - posted a lengthy statement on his Instagram. That match was announced on last night's Raw...not long after Charlotte used a cradle to pin Asuka. As for Ripley, she technically lost a Beat The Clock match to Nikki Cross...who survived two minutes against Ripley without being beaten. It was Charlotte who goaded Ripley into taking the match. Natalya & Tamina are still the WWE Womens' Tag Team Champions. Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler, appeared to be in position to take back the titles...but Reginald chose the wrong moment to jump up onto the apron. Baszler told Reggie to get lost...but as he walked up the ramp fire erupted from the stage. That distracted Baszler and allowed Natalya to grab a small package and get the pin. Baszler was fuming at Reginald after the match. She grabbed him and demanded he face her one-on-one in a match on next week's Raw. Also set for next Monday...Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston. The winner will get the shot at WWE Champ Bobby Lashley at Hell In A Cell. They actually tried to do McIntyre vs. Kingston - with the same stakes - on last night's Raw...but Lashley and MVP got involved and the referee threw the match out. Sheamus used a handful of tights to pin Humberto Carrillo. Sheamus tried to beat up Carrillo some more after the match, but Ricochet ran out to make the save. Riddle faced off against Xavier Woods...and it was Riddle getting the win...pinning Woods with the RKO. Jaxson Ryker pinned AJ Styles after outside interference from Elias. Cedric Alexander pinned Shelton Benjamin. (STINGER: New Japan) The latest New Japan wrestler to confirm he tested positive for COVID-19 is Taichi. He told Tokyo Sports he started feeling sick after performing at the Wrestling Dontaku shows. Taichi said his symptoms were mild. Meanwhile, some news that could impact foreign talent looking to wrestle in Japan. The U.S. State Department issued a “Do Not Travel” advisory for the country...citing a “very high level of COVID-19 in the country”. (STINGER: AEW) We have a handful of matches announced for tonight's AEW Dark: Brian Cage vs. Sonny Kiss...Dark Order's “10” vs. Dillon McQueen...and Nick Comoroto vs. Duke Davis. Some familiar faces to fans of New Japan on last night's Dark: Elevation. Ren Narita pinned Royce Isaacs with his bridging belly-to-belly suplex. And Rocky Romero pinned JD Drake with a cradle. The Wingmen tried to jump Romero after the match...but Best Friends - including Romero's former tag partner Trent - ran out for the save. There's a battle royal to decide the #1 contender for Nick Aldis' NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Plus, Aldis himself will be in action. He'll go one-on-one against Mims. (STINGER: ROH) The Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles are staying with The Foundation. HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus turned away the challenge of Matt Taven and Mike Bennett on ROH's weekend TV. Williams pinned Taven with a piledriver...after Taven was hobbled by an ankle injury. Fred Yehi used the Koji Clutch to submit Rocky Romero in a Pure Rules Match. Also on the show, Flip Gordon demanded a shot at Rush and the ROH World Championship...but Gordon was interrupted by EC3...who simply said “you've been warned”...and left. (STINGER: Impact) Impact's Eddie Edwards is back home and recovering...after having his appendix removed. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, May 25. It announced Thursday that Will Ospreay has vacated the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship...due to a neck injury he suffered during his title defense against Shingo Takagi earlier this month. New Japan said there's no timetable for Ospreay's return. It's promising further announcements on the future of its top title. New Japan is holding its first live event in nearly two weeks on Saturday in Nagoya. This will NOT be broadcast on New Japan World. The next live show from Japan on World is coming up on Monday. A No Disqualification Match is the main event on tonight's New Japan Strong. It's Fred Rosser vs. Hikuleo. Plus, Brody King and Karl Fredericks vs. Team Filthy's JR Kratos & Danny Limelight...and Alex Coghlin vs. Bateman. But after the match, Violent By Design made a surprise appearance. VBD's Rhino won a “Call Your Shot” Battle Royal last October...that granted him a future title shot of his choosing...and he chose to cash in that opportunity last night. Rhino and Joe Doering quickly beat FinJuice and they are the new Impact Tag Team Champions. The Forbidden Door between Impact Wrestling and New Japan is swinging open again. Last night, Impact announced that former IWGP Heavyweight Champ Satoshi Kojima will be on next week's show. Impact Champ Kenny Omega thought he and the Good Brothers had his next title challenger Moose cornered for an attack...but Sami Callihan ran to the ring to back up Moose. Rachael Ellering pinned Jordynne Grace with a rollup...after Grace made a surprising challenge for the match between the former Knockouts Tag Champs. Tenille Dashwood used a rollup to pin one half of the current Knockouts Tag Champs Kiera Hogan. Dashwood has her sights set on those titles...with Taylor Wilde as her partner. The only problem is that Wilde is not really on board with the plan. Rohit Raju pinned Jake Something...thanks to a big assist from Shera. After the match, Something battered Shera with a steel chair. W. Morrissey attacked Rich Swann during a backstage interview. (STINGER: ROH) The Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles will be defended on this weekend's ROH TV. It's Matt Taven and Mike Bennett challenging HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus. (STINGER: WWE) The NXT Women's Tag Team Championships are on the line in a Street Fight. Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart will defend against Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell. Also on tonight's NXT a “Falls Count Anywhere” Match between Isaiah SWERVE Scott and Leon Ruff. Plus, Tommaso Ciamp and Timothy Thatcher vs. the Grizzled Young Veterans...and the return of Finn Balor. We're getting a 3-Way match for the Raw Women's Title at WrestleMania Backlash - Rhea Ripley defending against Asuka and Charlotte Flair. WWE had announced it would simply be Ripley vs. Asuka - but during Raw, Charlotte pulled some strings...with Sonya Deville and was added to the match. Charlotte submitted Dana Brooke. Mandy Rose took a few cheap shots at Charlotte after the match. Some familiar faces are returning to Raw. Mansoor was revealed as a new member of the roster last night. He was one of the hottests wrestlers in WWE - riding a 49-match winning streak that dates back to 2019. BUT, Mansoor was put into a match last night, against Sheamus. It was interrupted by Humberto Carrillo...who attacked Sheamus. That's a disqualification WIN for Sheamus...and a LOSS for Mansoor. The streak...is over. There was also a video on last night's Raw hyping up the return of Eva Marie! As promised, we got the return of the Raw Tag Team Champs AJ Styles and Omos last night...and they successfully defended their titles in a WrestleMania rematch against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Lana and Naomi got a shot at the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles - but Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler retained the gold. Baszler submitted Lana. In last night's main event, WWE Champ Bobby Lashley beat Braun Strowman in a non-title match. Strowman was distracted by Drew McIntyre, who was hanging around ringside. After the match, McIntyre laid out both guys. We're getting Lashley vs. McIntyre in another non-title match on next Monday's Raw. Lucha House Party beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Alexander berated Benjamin after the match...and said their tag team is “done”. Angel Garza pinned Drew Gulak with the Wing Clipper. After the match, Garza shoved a rose down the back of Gulak's trunks and kicked him in the rear. Team R-K-Bro beat Elias and Jaxson Ryker...and Damien Priest beat John Morrison. (STINGER: New Japan) It's Day 2 of New Japan's Wrestling Dontaku. This morning's main event is Will Ospreay defending the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Shingo Takagi. On Monday's Wrestling Dontaku show...Jay White won the NEVER Openweight Champion. He dethroned Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event. White is the first man to hold the IWGP Heavyweight, Intercontinental, United States and NEVER Title. (White Belt Collector) That clip from New Japan's social media. White also challenged David Finlay, who beat White in the New Japan Cup. Also on Monday's show...Taichi defeated Tama Tonga in a Ladder Match - securing the Iron Fingers Of Doom that were hung above the ring. Zack Sabre Jr. beat Tanga Loa. That means Sabre and Taichi will get another shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Titles held by the Guerillas of Destiny. (STINGER: ROH) A title change on Ring Of Honor's weekend TV. Tony Deppen is the new ROH TV Champion. He used a clever pinning combination to take the gold from HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams. Also on the show, Flamita snuck in a low blow to pin his former tag partner Bandido. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett beat the Beer City Bruiser and Ken Dixon. After the match, Taven hit Bruiser with a beer bottle. Bennett did not seem to be on board with that. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight's AEW Dark has...the return of Pac, taking on Serpentico. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight's NXT is promoting the first interview with Adam Cole since TakeOver. Bronson Reed faces Austin Theory. If Reed wins, he gets another shot at Johnny Gargano's North American Title. Also, Mercedes Martinez vs. Dakota Kai...and Kushida & MSK vs. Legado Del Fantasma The WWE Championship match at WrestleMania Backlash...is now a 3-Way. Bobby Lashley will now defend against Drew McIntyre AND Braun Strowman. Strowman earned his place in the match by pinning McIntyre in the main event of last night's Raw. A distraction by T-Bar and Mace gave Strowman the opening he needed. The show opened with T-Bar & Mace beating McIntyre & Strowman via countout...after McIntyre hit Strowman with an errant clothesline. Strowman hit McIntyre with a powerslam after the match. One week after Charlotte Flair suspended indefinitely, and fined, for attacking a referee...she was BACK on Raw. She apologized to the ref she pummeled...and after some prodding the ref apologized to Charlotte. Sonya Deville was on hand for all of this and she lifted Charlotte's suspension. This was apparently ALL news to Adam Pearce. Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler beat Asuka, Naomi and Lana. Jax pinned Lana. Earlier in the match, Dana Brooke & Mandy Rose strolled out...threw water at Baszler...which led to Jax slipping on the wet floor. All this in retaliation for Jax throwing flowers at Brooke & Rose earlier. Deville decided to punish her former tag partner Rose with a match against Charlotte Flair. And Charlotte pinned Mandy with Natural Selection to win that match. I guess R-K-Bro is gonna be a thing. Riddle and Randy Orton teamed up to beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Damien Priest, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods pelted The Miz, John Morrison, Elias and Jaxson Ryker with tomatoes...then won a trios match against them Humberto Carrillo was back on Raw to once again get in the face of the United States Champion Sheamus. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan joined other promotions Monday...in calling off some shows due to a new COVID-19 state of emergency in parts of Japan. Three shows at Korakuen Hall scheduled for May 8th, 10th & 11th are now canceled. New Japan has a big show on Wednesday - with Roppongi 3K defending the Jr. Tag Titles in the main event...against El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Also, Toru Yano will defend the KOPW 2021 provisional title against EVIL. It'll be a Creation Of Darkness Blindfold Match. Blindfolds/hoods will be hung on each ring post. A decision can not be scored until you use one to blindfold your opponent. A couple big singles matches on the Road To Wrestling Dontaku on Monday. It was a good day for Los Ingobernables De Japon. Tetsuya Naito delivered THREE Destinos to pin Great-O-Khan in the main event. And, SANADA pinned Aaron Henare after a TKO and a pair of moonsaults. (STINGER: AEW) Some fresh faces on tonight's Dark...including former Lucha Underground Champion Marty Casaus (ka-SAUCE) making his AEW debut against Brian Cage. Also, The Blade & Private Party vs. Dark Order's Evil Uno, Stu Grayson & 10. On last night's Dark: Elevation...Big Swole & Red Velvet beat the dysfunctional team of Nyla Rose & Madi Wrenkowski. Rose was bullying Wrenkowski. Wrenkowski was giving Rose an attitude. Rose eventually turned on her - hitting a powerbomb on Wrenkowski and then just walking away. Matt Sydal pinned Joey Janela in the main event. Also, Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky beat Dark Order's Alex Reynolds and Alan “5” Angels. (STINGER: ROH) On Ring Of Honor's weekend TV…The first outing for Violence Unlimited was a disqualification LOSS in a trios match against La Faccion Ingobernable. Brody King used a chair on Bestia Del Ring to draw the DQ. The show ended with The Foundation running out to beat up BOTH factions. Earlier, Eli Isom and Dak Draper wrestled to a 15-minute time limit draw. It looked like were gonna get 5 more minutes, but Dalton Castle arrived on the scene first - sporting a new look AND new BOYS. Castle kicked both guys in the groin to put them down...and then, danced away. Next weekend's ROH TV will have HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams' first defense of his TV Title...against Tony Deppen. Tonight's NWA Powerrr has Da Pope defending the NWA TV Title against Tyrus. Major League Wrestling will debut on VICE TV this Saturday at Noon. It sounds like this show will be a look back at MLW history. The new content is still premiering on Fusion every Wednesday...at least, for now. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, April 27. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: desk@justprowrestlingnews.com. (STINGER: WWE) The Universal Title match at WrestleMania is now a Triple Threat Match - Roman Reigns defending against Edge AND Daniel Bryan. Adam Pearce announced the decision at the end of last night's SmackDown. New matches added to Mania during last night's SmackDown… Seth Rollins and Cesaro will meet on Night 1. Rollins beat Shinsuke Nakamura on last night's SmackDown. Added to Night 2: Big E defending the Intercontinental Title - once again - against Apollo Crews. Crews did pin Big E to win a 6-man tag last night. Also announced for Night 2 - Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn. Zayn promised last night that YouTuber Logan Paul will appear on next Friday's SmackDown for a red carpet premiere of the trailer for Zayn's documentary. Also last night...Rey Mysterio pinned one-half of the Smackdown tag champs, Dolph Ziggler. Bianca Belair pinned Natalya with the KOD. Sasha Banks was outside the ring during the match, taunting Belair. At one point, Belair went outside the ring and slapped Banks. After the match, Banks attacked Belair from behind. (STINGER: ROH) Rush is STILL the Ring Of Honor World Champion - but aside from that, it was NOT a very good Friday night for La Faccione Ingobernable. After Rush was victorious over Jay Lethal in the main event of ROH's 19th Anniversary pay per view...he was confronted by a former challenger - Brody King. Only King did not come alone, and introduced his own group to combat LFI - Tony Deppen, Chris Dickinson and former ROH World Champ Homicide. LFI's Dragon Lee had an especially tough night - and he wasn't even at the show. Lee missed the show due to surgery for a ruptured eardrum. So, Kenny King defended Lee's TV Title in his place - but LOST to HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams. The end of the match saw Amy Rose throw the TV title belt into the ring. King and Williams stared at it for sec...but when King went for it, Williams caught him with a piledriver for the win. Later, Bestia Del Ring subbed in for Lee, as he and King defended the ROH tag titles - and LOST to Williams and Rhett Titus. Again, Amy Rose was blamed for the loss...and after the tag match, Bestia Del Ring hit her with a SPEAR! Jonathan Gresham is still the Pure Champion. He submitted Dak Draper with a sleeper that he applied by diving through the ropes and onto Draper. Dak was able to carry Gresham's weight back into the ring but he was out of “rope breaks” and there was no escape after that. Shane Taylor Promotions successfully defended their 6-man tag titles against the MexiSquad. After the match, Flamita, Bandido and Rey Horus got into an argument. That led to a 3-way match between them on the main show. Bandido pinned Flamita with the 21-plex to win it. Silas Young turned on Josh Woods! He hit Woods with a steel chair and Dalton Castle rolled up Woods for the win. Matt Taven and Vincent brawled through the P.A.L. Hall in Fall River, Massachusetts. The fight ended when a large man pushed both men off a balcony...and through a pair of tables set up below. That large man carried Vincent out of the building. On Twitter, he identified himself as “Dutch”.. EC3 got the handshake he was looking for from Jay Briscoe - but moments later he got a Jay Driller and took the loss. Danhausen won the 4-way during the free first hour of the show. During the show, it was announced that Ring Of Honor will hold a tournament over the summer to crown a new women's champion. Angelina Love will get a bye in that tournament if she can beat...backstage interviewer Quinn McKay. Rocky Romero was on commentary for the entire main show. At one point, Delirious came out and whispered something into Rocky's ear. (STINGER: New Japan) On last night's New Japan Strong… Clark Connors upset TJP in a qualifying match for the U.S. version of the New Japan Cup tournament. Connors was caught in a heel hook, but managed to roll up TJP for the pin. The other qualifying match last night saw Chris Dickinson beat Blake Christian. David Finlay & Karl Fredericks beat FILTHY Tom Lawlor & Danny Limelight in last night's main event. Finlay pinned Limelight. Back in Japan, the Road To Sakura Genesis tour kicks off on Sunday. Check out the new episode right now wherever you get your podcasts.. Results from Tuesday's New Japan Cup matches and AEW Dark are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: Impact) The main event at Impact Wrestling's Sacrifice show is now a championship unification match. But the showdown Saturday night between Impact World Champion Rich Swann and TNA Champ Moose is only the beginning. (D'Amore Rebellion Main Event) That's Scott D'Amore making the announcement on last night's Impact. It'll be Title vs. Title - Kenny Omega vs. either Rich Swann or Moose at the Rebellion pay per view on April 24th. Getting back to Saturday night's Sacrifice show. It's an Impact Plus exclusive. FOUR matches were added to the card on last night's Impact - A HOLD HARMLESS Match between Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers...James Storm and Chris Sabin vs. Violent By Design...Tenille Dashwood & Kaleb With A K vs. Havok & Nevaeh...and Decay vs. Reno Scum. Ace Austin has an X-Division Title match against TJP at Sacrifice - but last night, Austin was pinned by Chris Bey. Storm and Sabin beat Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera. Later, Raju blamed Shera for the loss and that led to Shera attacking Raju. Jazz submitted one-half of the Knockouts Tag Champs, Tasha Steelz. Trey Miguel submitted his trainee Sam Beale, who was convinced to challenge his teacher by Sami Callihan. After the match, Callihan attacked Beale. (STINGER: AEW) We'll find out tonight how AEW will handle the “dud” ending to its Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match at Revolution. We got a clue to the plan on last night's Impact. During his weekly “paid ad”, Tony Khan said we'll hear from Eddie Kingston on tonight's Dynamite, and “We'll find out why he did what he did...and what happened out there at the end.” Khan was also sticking to the storyline that the failed final blast at Revolution was a result of poor craftsmanship by Omega. Just announced yesterday, Ethan Page will make his Dynamite debut tonight against Lee Johnson. Also tonight...Darby Allin defends the TNT Championship against Scorpio Sky...Matt Jackson vs. Rey Fenix...PLUS, Hikaru Shida, Ryo Mizunami & Thunder Rosa vs. Dr. Britt Baker, Nyla Rose & Maki Itoh We'll also hear from Christian Cage for the first time on AEW TV. On last night's Dark...Fuego Del Sol FINALLY hit his tornado DDT, but the force of the impact sent QT Marshall out of the ring. QT later hit the Diamond Cutter for the win Also, Santana & Ortiz beat Sonny Kiss & Joey Janela. (STINGER: WWE) TWO major championship matches on tonight's NXT - Finn Balor defending the NXT Championship against Adam Cole...and Io Shirai putting her women's title on the line against Toni Storm. On top of that, NXT is promoting TWO “HUGE”, “game-changing” announcements from GM William Regal. Plus, Xia Lee vs. Kayden Carter. Tonight's MLW Fusion has Alex Hammerstone defending the National Openweight Championship:against L.A. Park (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor has added a GRUDGE MATCH between Jay Briscoe and EC3 to its 19th Anniversary pay per view. This match was first made for Final Battle, but EC3 was pulled from the card after he tested positive for COVID-19. On ROH's Week By Week YouTube show Tuesday...HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams submitted LSG to win a 3-way that also included Bandido. Williams is the #1 contender for the ROH TV Title. (STINGER: New Japan) Three more New Japan Cup matches happening this morning. The second round begins on Thursday's show - with EVIL vs. Jeff Cobb...and Great-O-Khan vs. Toru Yano. Tuesday's matches saw SANADA beat Tomohiro Ishii...and Yuji Nagata beat Yota Tsuji. SANADA and Nagata will meet in the second round. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, March 10. On Episode 29 of TAKE A BUMP, Ring of Honor World Champion Matt Taven and Danny Picard were joined by "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams, who discusses his upcoming triple-threat match for the ROH Television Championship, growing up in New York City, and the nickname he almost gave himself instead of "Hot Sauce." Plus, Matt and Danny were finding it hard to ignore all the drama in the political world this week, but they still believe the latest UFO news is being buried by the news media.
