The conversation dives deep into trade policy, global power dynamics, capital allocation, and the most common pitfalls in resource investing. Welcome to the Jay Martin Show. In this week's episode, Serhii Plokhii, a professor of Ukrainian history at Harvard, explores the complex historical and geopolitical roots of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Today on the Jay Martin Show, retired army colonel Douglas Macgregor offers a critical analysis of U.S. foreign policy, highlighting the influence of wealthy donors and oligarchs in shaping national decisions. He argues that America's involvement in conflicts like Ukraine and the Middle East is driven not by public interest but by the financial incentives of a few powerful figures. Macgregor emphasizes that American democracy is compromised by this donor control, and that wars in Ukraine and the Middle East serve the interests of corporate elites rather than the American public. He also discusses how media manipulation and government corruption further perpetuate this system, leading to unnecessary military interventions. Finally, Macgregor touches on the geopolitical implications of these conflicts, suggesting that the U.S. is courting major wars while ignoring its own domestic issues, and warns of the possible financial collapse looming on the horizon. Today on the Jay Martin Show, Jay is joined by renowned economist and professor - Richard Wolff. Professor Wolff is the founder of Democracy at Work, host of Economic Update and teaches at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In this interview we dive into the dynamics of U.S.-China competitiveness and explore the probable outcomes in the shifting global landscape. We compare the governance models of the three dominant powers over the past century: the Soviet Union's socialist system, the U.S.'s capitalist structure, and China's unique socialist-capitalist hybrid. A key focus is how China operates much like a corporation, with centralized vision and policy set by its leadership, while different levels of autonomy function similarly to executives, managers, and employees in a business. Jay discussed the risks associated with becoming overly attached to an asset, emphasizing the need to understand that an asset won't love you back and that you will eventually be proven wrong. He acknowledged the importance of having physical gold for personal sovereignty and to help one sleep at night. Gold is being sought after by both individual investors and major corporations and central banks, which speaks to the desire for independence and autonomy. Companies with strong resource equity returns are those with the right people involved, but the risk remains. Jay then pointed to the Canadian Federal and Provincial governments, where Trudeau has made headlines for the wrong reasons, and the energy situation in Europe, which is full of distrust and has yet to be resolved. Finally, Jay shared his beliefs that we are overdue for a secular commodity run, though he remains concerned about near-term pain. Ultimately, he suggests that gold is a reliable asset to have in one's portfolio to maintain personal sovereignty and have peace of mind. As Robert Kiyosaki often says, inflation makes the rich, richer and makes the poor, poorer. The simple definition of inflation is when prices rise and the purchasing power of a currency drops. It means that you can buy less with your money than in the past. Today's guest says he expects the rest of the 2020s to be just like the early 2000s. Jay Martin, President, and CEO of Cambridge House International, and host of The Jay Martin Show says, “If we thought consumer inflation has been bad and caused civil unrest, just wait until we see food and fuel riots in the streets.” Host Robert Kiyosaki and guest Jay Martin discuss the number one hedge against inflation and how investing in resources could save you. In the first instalment of The Jay Martin Show's smaller, more personal episodes, Jay discusses two examples of dying corporate models, and where he sees an incredible opportunity for a new model of independent journalism to rule the day. A post-secondary education in America is now a luxury experience, with institutions aggressively building country-club style facilities. Jay believes an implosion is coming, and draws parallels to the journalism industry, which lost its way as media platforms became more concerned with supporting political agendas than informing the public. Jay believes this is a once in a generation opportunity for new models to take over. Join our investment community and sign up for our free weekly newsletter at cambridgehouse.com. In 1971, Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard and ushered in the age of currency. Now, every currency in the world is pegged to the dollar—and the dollar is pegged to nothing. In today's episode, we discuss The secret to surviving the next few years is keeping your wealth in real money, not in the U.S. dollar. Buy things that hold their value and are exchangeable all over the world. Commodities such as gold and silver have a world market that transcends national borders, politics, religions, and race. Today's guest, Jay Martin, has hosted some of the largest investment conferences in North America, with a special focus on small-cap equities. He is an early-stage investor and the host of the Jay Martin Show, a podcast and YouTube channel that dives into the world of money and investor psychology. He says, “If you have the time to invest in being an investor in the speculative markets, once you receive profits, move them over to hard assets.” Hosts Robert and Kim Kiyosaki are joined by guest Jay Martin to discuss what's happening in the commodities markets and why the dollar is toast and why you should move your “money” into better money.
