What if wealth wasn't a number in your bank account, but an emotion you could embody right now? I'm giving you a behind the scenes look at my evolving relationship with money and sharing the unexpected truths I've uncovered about what it really means to feel wealthy. For years, I chased the numbers, the income goals, and the business milestones. And yet, I still didn't feel wealthy. Spoiler alert: It's not about the 6-figure milestones or some dream income goal. It's about what wealth symbolizes for you: freedom, peace, safety, self-worth, and how to unlock that feeling.  Because wealth isn't a reflection of how much money you actually have. There are people who feel abundant with $5,000, and there are people who feel scarcity with $1 million. Why is that? If you've ever felt like you're “doing everything right” financially but still feel stuck, anxious, or behind, this episode will meet you right where you are and challenge you to redefine what wealth really means for you. This is one of the many topics we'll go deep on inside of Euphoric the Club, my brand-new membership for successful, alcohol-free women. Join me and other high-achieving women for $59 per month!   IN THIS EPISODE: The radical way to feel rich right now, no matter what's in your wallet (and how to interrupt your scarcity loop) Why wealth is less about digits on a screen and more about self-worth, freedom, and giving yourself permission to take up space The inside scoop on Euphoric the Club, where emotional wealth, community, and somatic rituals combine to help you embody abundance every single day What would you do differently in your morning routine if you had $10 million in the bank? Rush less? Appreciate more? Be more present? How to break through the Upper Limit (for more, listen to my episode with Gay Hendricks!)   LINKS/RESOURCES MENTIONED Listen to Episode 167 about the money mindset for AF women and Episode 273 with Gay and Katie Hendricks about the Upper Limit. Why do we hit invisible ceilings in our happiness, love, and success? This is the "upper limit problem," and it's sneakier than you might think… often leading us to self-sabotage, just when things are starting to look up. Today's guests, Gay and Katie Hendricks, are literally my idols. Experts on all things personal growth and relationships, they have trained thousands of coaches, authored more than 40 books, and have even appeared on Oprah. One of the unfortunate truths about our society is that we're more divided, vitriolic and operating from fear than ever before.  When we look at how people interact, there's no civility and mutual respect anymore. There's this huge collective tantrum and so much anger in people and it's completely polarized the culture.  This is especially highlighted in the political sphere. From local government to the national stage, there's more division, more contempt than collaboration, and that was never the original intent.  At its very basic level, government is about creating harmony and equity in society, but that's not happening anymore. How did we get here? How do we find peace in the midst of such vitriolic polarity?  In episode, former mayor of Ojai, California, Betsy Stix joins us to talk about leading in these contempt-filled times, and how she maintained equanimity in inflamed situations.  Things You'll Learn In This Episode  -A powerful impetus  How did The Big Leap lead Betsy Stix into local government? -The source of our separation  The amount of conflict and polarity we're seeing in our world feels unprecedented. How did we get here?  -React, disengage or rise above In these times of high conflict, it's really easy to get hijacked by fear. How do we redirect towards love?  -Back to breath How do we use our breath to create safety for ourselves when there's chaos all around us? Guest Bio Betsy is a lifelong teacher of human development, yoga, English, and French and former mayor of Ojai, California. After teaching for decades, she decided to run for mayor in 2020 during COVID, after reading Gay Hendricks' “The Big Leap” and learning that the city council was slow to enact environmental and social justice policy.  She canvased the town of 7,500 people in a mask and won 64% of the vote!  And she won again in 2022 when she ran against actor Anson Williams. During her tenure, the Ojai City Council passed rent stabilization/tenant protection, a greenhouse gas emission reduction code, approved truly low income housing while developing better solutions for the unhoused, passed animal protection ordinances celebrated by PETA, improved the city's plastic and tree ordinances, flew the Pride Flag for the first time, and founded the Mayor's Youth Council. She is proud to have run two 100% positive campaigns and championed emotional and spiritual intelligence while moving the ball forward for progressive issues.  She was so grateful to have been able to depend upon her yoga practices and experience teaching children and young people as well as the teachings of Katie Hendricks and Marianne Williamson to support her during her time in office.  She looks forward to continuing to serve her community and the planet. “The whole sense though, of the Upper Limit Problem, is instead of feeling good and then feeling bad, which is how we think it's supposed to work. You know, you feel bad, you feel good, and then you forget to go to your yoga class and then you start eating things that aren't good for you. And pretty soon, you know, you're off binging and you know, that's over. And in partnership, I'd say, The most common Upper Limit Problem is to criticize the other. Criticizing also gets over into contempt. So when your partner expands and you don't support that expansion, but you criticize them and then they come down again or you forget an agreement. I think those are the two most common is that people don't do what they say they're going to do and they get into criticizing. And we really have seen that criticizing blame and criticism are really relationship killers. But what's underneath that is our fear of expanding and our fear of going out into the unknown, because even the Upper Limit Problem, if you're expanding, you are going to go into the unknown over and over, and we can stay safe and miserable in our familiar patterns, of you'll eat too much, and I'll drink at night, and we won't challenge that in each other, and that way we'll coexist, and many relationships are that way.” So says Dr. Katie Hendricks, the co-founder of The Hendricks Institute and the co-author of 12 books, including the bestseller, Conscious Loving: The Journey to Co-Commitment. Katie and her husband, Gay, have been leading seminars and workshops for individuals and couples for decades—moving them from their definition of co-dependence into co-commitment. We touch on it in our conversation, but their definition of co-dependence is the only one I've heard that makes sense to me as they suggest co-dependence at its simplest is when your behavior is determined by someone else's—when you are adjusting yourself around someone else in a way that is a disservice to the relationship. Instead, they argue for co-commitment, where everyone takes complete responsibility for their own actions and their own lives. They coach a lot of tools that I love to talk about on this podcast, including the Drama Triangle, and they also coined the concept of the Upper Limit Problem, which is our tendency—just when things are going really well–to self-sabotage. That's a big focus of our conversation today. Creativity is the ability to let your beautiful internal hologram radiate out into the world, but it's not easy. We're taking the most innocent, precious part of ourselves and airing it out at the risk of opinions, judgment and rejection.    There's power in taking radical responsibility for our experiences. There's significance in flipping every “no, but” into a “yes, and” and constantly choosing to find a beautiful point to every motion we make, whether life is charmed or not.    All of this is antithetical to reactivity, a state in which many people live. Sometimes it might feel good, but all we're getting are little spouts of dopamine, not the lasting wellspring of joy that comes from within.    In a world that's often at war with creative women, how do we stand in our own power? How do we commit to all the goodness our creativity generates?    In this episode, we're joined for a gorgeous conversation by playwright, actor, pursuant of wonder and president of the Katie Hendricks appreciation society, Kirsten Vangsness. We talk about the gift and responsibility of creativity and how she chooses to be, play and love.    Three Things You'll Learn In This Episode    - Build a lifelong loving relationship with youBeing a creative person means we take our essence and publish it out into the world. That act and risk of judgment can take us away from ourselves. How do we collapse the time it takes to return to ourselves?   - From “no, but” to “yes, and”…How do we get in touch with that part of ourselves that welcomes all possibilities, realities, and discoveries?   - Take radical responsibility for your experience In a world where people often take their brokenness out on others, how can we contextualize negative things without exposing ourselves to them?

They have broken free into a consciousness-laden, passion-led, limitless life guided by their Third. One of their many passions is passing these teachings on to others, which resulted in their book, “Relating Revolution: All It Takes Is One Person To Change” and the 6-week course that builds on that book. They weave together teachings from HeartMath, Nonviolent Communication, Council, Dr Joe Dispenza, Gay and Katie Hendricks, Mama Gena, Yoga and many more. Giovanna Capozza is the co-founder of Blue Hive Health and a Master Life Coach, Spiritual Teacher, Mind/Body Expert and Podcast Host. She dedicated most of her twenties to exploring what makes us sick and what helps us heal, and as part of this she grew a thriving alternative medicine practice. But in 2012, suffering from caregivers fatigue, she left her practice behind and found herself on an extended trip in Mexico reassessing her life direction. From there she trained to be a coach and used what she had learned from her alternative medicine practice to build a thriving coaching business. Alongside this, she went on to work on the teams of two industry-leading coaches, including The Prosperous Coach co-author Rich Litvin, and has a unique perspective on the world of coaching. More recently, her own health crisis has brought her back to the world of health care. In this episode, Giovanna talks candidly about her relationship with the coaching world and realisation that coaching alone was not the complete picture for her. Giovanna's journey includes the launch a podcast, a memoir, and a talk that involved sharing the details of a previous abusive relationship with a room full of hundreds of people. Her interests have evolved from sickness, to relationships, to trauma and anxiety. Before Covid struck, Giovanna was on the brink of opening a new wellness centre in Toronto. She has since moved her venture online and the culmination of this work can be found at www.bluehivehealth.com. Her new wellness private practice is at www.wellwoman.ca. In this episode, we talk about:The trap of chasing high-ticket clients - why it's okay to drop your prices and the pitfalls of measuring success by income. Her guide to coaching yourself through situations that don't feel right, including when your coaching business is what doesn't feel right.Understanding that being a coach is being a business person.Coming home to yourself - the realisation that looking for more also meant looking back.Plus, we touch on the rarely discussed parts of the coaching world that feel... well... a bit icky. For more information about Giovanna, visit: www.giovannacapozza.com and www.wellwoman.caFor more information about Giovanna's new wellness centre in Toronto: www.bluehivehealth.comListen to Giovanna's talk here: https://youtu.be/zmuNYSh-KBc For information about Robbie's wider work and writing, visit www.robbieswalecoaching.com.Music by My Good Man William: listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4KmeQUcTbeE31uFynHQLQgTo support the Coach's Journey, visit www.patreon.com/thecoachsjourney and to join the Coach's Journey Community visit www.thecoachsjourney.com/communityThings and people we mentioned (that you might be interested in):~12: Gay and Katie Hendricks: https://hendricks.com/~12: Giovanna's Podcast with the Hendricks': https://youtu.be/8rf3gibbYy8 ~12: Arielle Ford: https://www.arielleford.com~13: The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0061735361/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_nVfLFb93CP6KX~15: Tony Robbins: https://www.tonyrobbins.com/ ~18: Enneagram Types: https://www.enneagraminstitute.com/~18: ICF Certifications: https://coachfederation.org/icf-credential ~22: The Prosperous Coach by Steve Chandler and Rich Litvin: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Prosperous-Coach-Increase-Income-Clients/dp/1600250300~22: Steve Chandler: https://www.stevechandler.com/~22: Rich Litvin: https://richlitvin.com/~25: Giovanna's Podcast She Rises: https://giovannacapozza.com/podcast/~26: Giovanna's Book Lovesick https://giovannacapozza.com/lovesick-book/~30: Blue Hive Health: www.bluehivehealth.com ~47: Giovanna's Book Lovesick https://giovannacapozza.com/lovesick-book/~51: Giovanna's speech: https://youtu.be/zmuNYSh-KBc~58: Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow%27s_hierarchy_of_needs
