Stefan Baumann Podcast - Inspiration and Insights on Art and Painting
Stefan Baumann interviews Jean Carlson on what 1 needs to do to create an inspirational future as an artist and give some tips on how to start creating a life with passion and direction and promote your art and sell sell sell! Jean Carlson is an artist who believes creativity can flourish at any age. Inspired by watching Gene, a fellow artist, start a YouTube channel by simply picking up a camera to share her art,Jean Carlson realized how easy it is to connect with others online and inspire elderly artists to share their creativity. His focus shifted toward encouraging older artists after seeing how digital tools like YouTube and Facebook can unlock new opportunities for expression.Jean Carlson advises artists to start by setting up a YouTube channel, getting a Facebook page running, posting daily, and creating a website to build their presence consistently. To help artists step out of their comfort zones,Jean Carlson encourages them to stop overthinking, grab a camera, and speak honestly about their thoughts and art. One effective marketing approach she recommends is creating short, one-to-five-minute videos that highlight the vibrancy of life and creativity at any age. Storytelling is a key part of Jean Carlson's mission; sharing his journey helps others see that art can open new paths after retirement, leading to new relationships and experiences instead of isolation. she stresses the value of digital communities, such as Zoom groups, to build connections that go beyond local boundaries. For Jean Carlson success isn't just about sales or fame but about the personal transformation and joy that art brings. sheencourages artists to start marketing themselves without fear, using available tools and being authentic. Looking forward, Jean Carlson aims to continue evolving as an artist while inspiring others to embrace creativity later in life. her practical advice for launching an artistic career at any age includes: 1. Start sharing your work online, 2. Post regularly to engage your audience, and 3. Connect with digital communities for support. Jean Carlson s story is a reminder that it's never too late to start creating. Retirement can be a beginning—one full of joy, connection, and new creative adventures. Episode Four Is Here! Unlocking VIBRANCY — The Energy Behind Brand Momentum in Burke's Relevance + Momentum® Series In this episode, hosts Jeremy Cochran, PsyD and KelseySchmeckpeper dive into VIBRANCY — the dimension of Relevance + Momentum® that captures how alive, active, and forward-moving a brand feels. Vibrancy is the buzz consumers feel when a brand seems innovative, visible, and culturally present. It's not just about growth, it's about momentum you can sense. Jeremy and Kelsey unpack how vibrancy is measured, why it fuels perceptions of success, and how brands stay relevant without chasing empty hype. You'll learn:➡️ What Vibrancy really measures and why perception matters more than intent➡️ The two signals of Vibrancy: innovation and buzz➡️ Why brands like Liquid Death, Delta, Chick-fil-A, Coke, and Duolingo feel energetic and in motion➡️ How low-vibrancy brands fade from conversation even with strong awareness➡️ Practical ways brands can build energy with purpose, not noise Whether you're launching something new or reinvigorating an established brand, this episode shows why Vibrancy is the spark that turns relevance into momentum, and keeps brands moving forward. For more information on how you can leverage the Relevance + Momentum® framework to move your brand forward, visit Burke's Brand Strategy. In this lively Ask Away session, Rabbi Wolbe clarified that the Talmudic category of “idolater” (akum) in kosher laws refers to any non-Jew who does not share our Torah values and meticulous concern for kashrut – today that includes Muslims, Christians, atheists, etc. – not just literal idol-worshippers; the laws were never about hating non-Jews but about protecting Jewish standards and limiting excessive social intimacy. He also explained that giving flowers to one's wife (or girlfriend when seriously dating toward marriage) is not only permitted but strongly encouraged by the Rambam, Shulchan Aruch, Rav Moshe Feinstein, and virtually all contemporary Poskim – because it creates shalom bayit and expresses love; flowers are never placed on Jewish graves (we use stones to symbolize permanence of the soul), but for a living spouse they are a beautiful, halachically praised gift that says “I thought about you.”On deeper topics, Rabbi Wolbe taught that true bitachon and saying “Gam zu l'tovah” do not cancel out tears or heartfelt prayer – tears are always welcome and open Heaven's gates; bitachon simply means we reaffirm that even the pain is ultimately for our good. He addressed inter-movement rabbinic courts by explaining that authentic halachic authority requires (1) belief that the Torah is divine and (2) personal observance of that Torah – without those foundations, rulings lack legitimacy in traditional Judaism. Finally, he stressed that flying (or any long-distance travel) on Shabbat is prohibited due to multiple biblical and rabbinic violations, and Shabbat is meant for spiritual connection, not vacation-style activities like swimming or horseback riding. Please submit your questions at askaway@torchweb.org_____________The Everyday Judaism Podcast is dedicated to learning, understanding and appreciating the greatness of Jewish heritage and the Torah through the simplified, concise study of Halacha, Jewish Law, thereby enhancing our understanding of how Hashem wants us to live our daily lives in a Jewish way._____________This Podcast Series is Generously Underwritten by Marshall & Doreen LernerDownload & Print the Everyday Judaism Halacha Notes:https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1RL-PideM42B_LFn6pbrk8MMU5-zqlLG5This episode (Ep. #73) of the Everyday Judaism Podcast by Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe of TORCH is dedicated to my dearest friends, Marshall & Doreen Lerner! 8/8. Professor Eric Cline categorizes the Minoans (Crete) and Mycenaeans (mainland Greece) as societies that failedthe collapse in After 1177 BC, The Survival of Civilizations. Despite outward vibrancy, they were internally fragile and vulnerable, possibly due to overextension, drought, famine, or internal uprisings. Cline applies IPCC definitions, classifying societies as "transforming," "adapting," or "coping," with the Minoans and Mycenaeans ultimately disappearing completely, illustrating their failure to recover. 1700 BABYLON

With much of the West marked by unrest and distraction, come see how biblical meditation, neuroscience insights, a trip to prison, and an ancient inscription from Phrygia guard our hearts and transform us to be carriers of His peace in an anxious generation.

A half-empty strip mall and old driving range transformed into an internationally acclaimed mixed-use marvel! That's the Bridge Park story, and it's only getting better.Ten years into this groundbreaking development, Crawford Hoying executives Matt Starr and Jessica Rexer reveal the secret ingredients behind Dublin's dynamic 30-acre neighborhood that cities nationwide are eager to replicate. The recipe? Flexibility, community responsiveness, and a powerful public-private partnership that earned Bridge Park a gold award from the International Economic Development Council.Currently home to 456,000 square feet of office space, nearly 750 residential units, and 200,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, Bridge Park continues to evolve beyond its original footprint. Two more major projects are now taking shape as Matt and Jessica dive into those details with Lindsay and Bruce. The Link—the world's longest single-tower S-shaped suspension bridge—has become both a physical connector and symbolic centerpiece for Dublin, though interestingly, Bridge Park operated for three years before this architectural gem was completed. This carefully curated neighborhood continues to thrive with dynamic, year-round programming, from the Dublin Market (now in its seventh season with 125+ vendors every Saturday) to seasonal celebrations like Boo and Brew, Harvest Market, and holiday festivities. What's next for this thriving destination? With ongoing expansion expected to continue for another five to seven years and a newly refreshed website at bridgepark.com, Bridge Park stands as a testament to what happens when visionary planning meets passionate execution. Come experience it for yourself!

The Experience Strategy Podcast is available on all major podcast platforms for free. In this episode, the hosts discuss the complexities of tourism in Italy, particularly focusing on the balance between local experiences and tourist demands. They explore the impact of consumer behavior on travel, the need for sustainable tourism practices, and the importance of transformational travel that benefits local communities. The conversation emphasizes the necessity for destinations to adapt to changing trends and the value of holistic travel experiences that respect both tourists and residents. Takeaways In Europe, tourists are getting squirted by residents and Bezos and Sanchez's wedding makes locals mad. Italy's tourism faces challenges balancing local needs and tourist demands. The concept of slow tourism promotes quieter, more authentic experiences. Tourism should support local economies and respect residential areas. Consumer behavior in travel is increasingly influenced by social media. Destinations need to adapt quickly to changing trends and demands. Transformational travel can enhance community engagement and support. Tourist fees can help fund local infrastructure and services. A subscription model for travel experiences could foster repeat business. Travel experiences should cater to diverse traveler needs and preferences. Holistic travel experiences encompass cultural, environmental, and community aspects. The Page One Podcast, produced and hosted by author Holly Lynn Payne, celebrates the craft that goes into writing the first sentence, first paragraph and first page of your favorite books. The first page is often the most rewritten page of any book because it has to work so hard to do so much—hook the reader. We interview master storytellers on the struggles and stories behind the first page of their books.About the guest authors:Jon Chandonnet is a life coach, author of Shadow Summit: A Journey from.M.S. to The Other Side of Impossible and found of VibrantU Academy. At thirty-three, Jon thought living a vibrant life meant setting goals and working long hours and hard days to make things happen. Living by that credo he accomplished a lot. He earned his master's from MIT, led teams to develop software to launch startups, ran a couple marathons, and scaled several 14,000-foot California peaks. Jon was well on his way—or so he thought—but he was a ticking time bomb. He'd been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis six years earlier. He ignored it completely and instead pushed himself to extremes. He lived in denial—ignoring his diagnosis in hopes of literally outrunning the disease. The running ended and the disease caught up. Jon's health declined and led him on an eight-year odyssey to understand life's essential elements. He wanted to find a way to minimize the impact of the disease. He wanted his health back and to create a full life despite the MS. During the journey, Jon found seven essential elements allowing him to track daily actions and habits in pursuit of the healthiest, most fulfilled, and joyful life possible. He realized others could benefit from the insights. Jon found a way to simplify life, strip away the chaos and unimportant to focus on what matters. The result was the 7 VIBRANTs ™ well-being system.About the host:Holly Lynn Payne is an award-winning novelist and writing coach, and the former CEO and founder of Booxby, a startup that built an AI book discovery platform with a grant from the National Science Foundation. "I wasn't Vietnamese enough for the locals and not white enough for the expats. It took time to find my place in Saigon."It was an absolute joy to record this episode. Rochelle's journey is the epitome of courage, adaptability, and humor. Send us a textAs I head into winter here in the Northeast United States, I am renewing my restorative practices. Restoration is an important component of both the somatic and Ayurvedic practices that I do.And although restoration embodies simplicity in its nature it is not always an easy thing to do.In this episode I dive into the crucial yet often overlooked stage of restoration within the stress response cycle. Journeying through the stages of activation, mobilization, actualization, deactivation, and ultimately, restoration, the episode highlights the transformative power of proper rest and rejuvenation. Emphasis is placed on how modern lifestyles and cultural norms frequently sideline restoration, leading to burnout and reduced resilience. I share personal practices and Ayurvedic wisdom to foster restoration, from yoga nidra and meditation to herbal remedies. The episode also addresses the broader cultural implications of valuing rest, advocating for a shift in societal norms toward recognizing rest as essential rather than a luxury.
