Eysus est un village agricole de 700 habitants au pied des Pyrénées, à une quarantaine de kilomètres de l'Espagne. C'est là que le 12 novembre 2001, Marguerite Lagrave, 78 ans, est retrouvée morte, au beau milieu de son salon. Son corps présente de multiples fractures. Pour les policiers, la thèse criminelle ne fait aucun doute. Mais qui pouvait en vouloir à la pauvre Margot, une femme au grand cœur que tout le village appréciait ? Commence alors une enquête difficile : Cambriolage, crime familial.... Toutes les pistes explorées par les gendarmes s'effondrent les unes après les autres. Il faudra un rebondissement incroyable, 12 ans après le meurtre, pour enfin découvrir le meurtrier. Alors, qui s'en est pris aussi sauvagement à la vieille dame ? Et surtout pourquoi ?
