Cu această ocazie, Comisara a subliniat că tradițiile sunt sufletul fiecărei națiuni europene — și că integrarea europeană nu le șterge, ci le protejează și le face cunoscute întregului continent”, a transmis Delegația UE în R. Send us a textThe extraordinary journey of Volodymyr Zelensky—from Ukraine's most beloved comedian to its wartime president—represents one of history's most dramatic political transformations. Simon Shuster, who has reported from Ukraine and Russia for over 15 years, joins us to discuss his revealing biography "The Showman: Inside the Invasion that Shook the World and Made a Leader of Volodymyr Zelensky."Having first met Zelensky during his improbable presidential campaign in 2019, Shuster witnessed firsthand how an entertainer with zero political experience captured Ukraine's highest office by playing a fictional president on television. What started as a seemingly naive political experiment took a profound turn when Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022.Shuster takes us behind the scenes of Zelensky's remarkable metamorphosis from lighthearted performer to resolute wartime leader. Drawing from exclusive interviews with Zelensky, his wife Olena Zelenska, and top military commanders including General Valery Zaluzhny, the biography presents a nuanced portrait that avoids both hagiography and undue criticism. We explore how Zelensky consciously redesigned his persona when confronted with existential crisis, leveraging his performance skills to project strength and determination when Ukraine needed it most.Particularly fascinating is how Zelensky revolutionized wartime communication, using social media and direct appeals to bypass traditional diplomatic channels and mobilize global support. His stubborn confidence—sometimes alienating allies with relentless demands—nevertheless secured unprecedented levels of military assistance when Ukraine's survival hung in the balance. As the war continues with no clear end in sight, we discuss the challenges Zelensky faces in negotiating any potential peace settlement and what the future might hold for this unlikely world leader who found himself thrust into history. Whether you're interested in geopolitics, leadership in crisis, or the power of communication in modern warfare, this conversation offers invaluable insights into how one man's transformation mirrored his nation's fight for survival.

But the news is somewhat silly considering Israel created Hamas in the first place, so either way, Israel committed the October 7th attack. Multiple government documents show they knew the exact plan months to years ahead of time. Meanwhile, 75% of all journalists killed in 2023 were at the hands of Israel. Interesting considering how Israel has a massive amount of control over medias worldwide. Clearly, those who don't follow their marching orders are killed. The Israeli government blames the deaths of journalists on reporters working for Hamas, but of course that's the excuse given and has no merit. Israel is also committed to a global anti-free speech initiative, silencing politicians and citizens across the board. It's almost like they don't want people to know about their actions. Russia has dropped a massive bomb in Donbas as tensions continue to escalate. Victor Orban recently visited Russia to talk with Putin. Nato states have said Ukraine can join the military alliance "when allies agree and conditions are met" after President Volodymyr Zelensky criticised the "absurd" delay to accession. In a communique, Nato said it recognised the need to move faster but would not be drawn on a timeframe. We speak to a former deputy defence minister of Ukraine. Also on the programme: the European Court of Human Rights rules in favour of double 800m Olympic champion Caster Semenya in a case related to testosterone levels in female athletes. And we hear why Crawford Lake, a small body of water in Ontario, Canada, is being put forward as the location that best records humanity's recent impacts on Earth. Reports say President Biden doesn't trust some of the Secret Service agents, or their biting incident accounts about his dog Major. A FOIA lawsuit regarding Commander Biden was filed against the DHS by the same GOP group who targeted Champ and Major. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp. Visit betterhelp.com/DUBIOUS today to get 10% off your first month of therapy. In this episode we're going to talk about the new Biden pets, Commander the German Shepherd, Willow the tabby cat and Poppet the unofficial White House rabbit, but also about Major and the late Champ Biden and how they were turned into political weapons and attacked by right wing groups, in court and on live TV. And we have some “barking news”: president Zelensky, Olena Zelenska, and their children have more than just two dogs: they also have a hamster and a cat. If you like our content, please become a patron. Major Biden is the only pet in history whose less than perfect behavior was considered reason enough to "file a FOIA lawsuit against the United Stated Department of Homeland Security for records of communication between Secret Service officials assigned to the White House regarding the Biden family dogs." One's pets and children are/should be off limits in politics, even if the politics of their humans is not your cup of tea. On that note, thanks to President Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush for adopting puppy Freddy Bush from the SPCA of Texas and rescuing kitty Bernadette from the side of the road and giving them a wonderful, spoiled life, along with Bob, the second Bush cat. We discuss the attack against a 13 year old dog, Champ, by a Newsmax host. Gregg Kelly and two guests presented agreed on live TV that Champ “is dirty, looks rough, disheveled, like a junkyard dog.” This attack was connected to senator Ted Cruz who fled to Cancun during the 2021 Texas freeze, leaving his poodle Snowflake alone in a house with no electricity and no heat. Texas monthly editor Michael Hardy brought this fact to light and the Twitter account The Oval Pawffice spread the Snowflake news. Newsmax attacked this account while lying to their viewers, stating the account belonged to Jen Psaki. Newsmax viewers mass reported the account until the Twitter algorithm banned it. But thanks to the adorable fox red Labrador retriever Gipper, Juris Dog-tor at Clare Locke, a boutique law firm, The Oval Pawffice was reinstated in 24 hours. Gipper wrote an official letter to Twitter's Legal Counsel making it clear that The Oval Pawffice didn't break any rules. This letter is a work of art, it's written in doggo, Gipper signed it with his own paw print. 1, 2 Next: fun stories about FDR's dog Major, Pete Roosevelt, Barney Bush, Juno and Satan Adams, parrot Poll Jackson, Old Ike the Woodrow Wilson ram and Rebecca Coolidge the racoon. We think wild animals should be protected and they should live in their own habitat. Sanctuaries yes, zoos no. Foreign presidential pets like Nemo Macron and Konni Putin (Konni sadly passed away) are included too. Farts, hair dye and Rudi Giuliani are also a thing in this episode. 3 We conclude by asking everyone to please donate to animal organizations on the ground in Ukraine. The World Economic Forum is holding their meeting, openly plotting to control the entire world. But, they would never do THAT. Plus, as you will probably been lectured to by professional Republicans or people who celebrate being “moderates”, the WEF is simply a think-tanks with no real power. But, is that really true? How is it, then, that the WEF wanted digital passports and--boom--injection traveling papers? Open borders was a thing they think-tanked and, would you look at that . . . They have been arguing to charge people money for what we exhale and--click--”carbon” taxes. So, what does the WEF want, now? They want us to give up our cars, our ability to grow our own food. But, they would NEVER do that . . .What does God say? The Lord demands that people in power not lord it over others. (Photo Amy Ní Fhearraigh by Kip Carroll) Rosemary Kennedy has often been referred to as the "missing Kennedy". She was the sister of former US President John F. Kennedy and despite been part of one of the most famous families in American politics, very little was known about Rosemary. Until recently. Her story has been brought to life by the Irish National Opera in Least Like the Other – Searching for Rosemary Kennedy at the Royal Opera House. Director Netia Jones and soprano Amy Ní Fhearraigh join Jessica Creighton to discuss the production and its themes. The First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, told CNN news that it is the women in Ukraine who are bearing the brunt of the war, caring for their children and older relatives, and keeping things going. Someone who knows this only too well is Wendy Warrington, an NHS nurse and midwife who has been going out to give medical help and support to women and children in Ukraine since March last year. She joins Jessica to talk about the situations that she sees every day, and how women really are at the heart of it all. The Queen of Reinvention, Madonna, has announced her first ever greatest hits tour to mark 40 years since her breakout single, Holiday. She'll be playing 35 dates around the world. Performing hits from her 1983 self-titled debut album to 2019's Madame X. Jess dicusses her influence with Fiona Sturges, Arts writer for The Guardian and the Financial Times. Yesterday serial rapist David Carrick was formally dismissed by the Metropolitan Police. He pleaded guilty to 24 rapes and multiple sexual offences. Sir Mark Rowley, the Met Commissioner, has apologised to his victims for the force's failings. The force is currently investigating 1,000 sexual and domestic abuse claims involving about 800 of its officers. For survivors hearing about these cases in the news can be very difficult. Jess speaks to Nicola Brookes who was groomed by a police officer. The independent office of Police conduct said he “knowingly targeted and exploited” her. During the Covid 19 lockdown, the writer Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett decided - like many of us - to get a pet. She acquired Mackerel, a kitten, whose antics over one year helped her examine her desire and fears about becoming a mother and inspired her to write her latest book ‘The Year of the Cat'. Jessica Creighton asks Rhiannon about cat ladies and the extraordinary cat characters of her childhood, and the deeper themes of her book - anxiety and recovery from trauma, family love and why she used to say, “I'm not sure I want children.” Presented by Jessica Creighton Producer: Louise Corley Editor: Beverley Purcell

The report details how Sam Bankman-Fried and FTX, the crypto exchange that saw its valuation implode from $32B to $0 in a single day, used a Ukraine fundraiser to raise $60 million from donors. This was followed by the mass selloff of FTX currency and a declaration of bankruptcy from the scam company. This raises the question: where did the money for Ukraine go? Kit Klarenberg joins the Useful Idiots with the scoop. He, along with his fellow Grayzone writers, has been the subject of multiple attacks for uncovering stories like this and his other new piece: “Leaked documents: British spies constructing secret terror army in Ukraine.” It seems that when government officials and the corporate media don't want the truth uncovered, they don't argue against the story but make personal attacks against the writer as character assassination. And sadly, it works all too often. One such corporate official, Useful-Idiot-favorite of Scary Poppins fame Nina Jankowicz, went after Klarenberg on Twitter. Kit describes the online beef in the extended episode. As Russia's war on Ukraine enters its fifth month, constant reminders emerge that it's being mostly waged against soft targets: civilians. Today President Zelensky called the attack on a shopping center “one of the most defiant terrorist acts in European history.” Search and rescue operations continue, but at least 18 people are confirmed dead. The Russians cling to their familiar line, that their missile strike targeted “western weapons and ammunition.” President Zelensky says the enemy has marked him as target number one, and his family as number two. But neither he nor First Lady Olena Zelenska is cowering in fear. Like him, she's busy on many fronts, rallying the world to Ukraine's cause, supporting her people during this devastating war, and being a mother to two children.
