Lauren has a genuinely hilarious conversation with comedian and podcaster Carmen Lagala, who spills all the details of her recent coming out story! Carmen grew up in Vermont, which is arguably one of the very best states to be a queer woman (hiking; leftists; liberal arts colleges; you get it). Carmen was so sure that she *wasn't* queer, however, that when a lesbian rumor spread during her freshman year of high school, she actually came out to her family as straight. Carmen, who now identifies as pansexual, describes having "teenage boy levels" of horniness as an adolescent, while simultaneously carrying a deep shame about sex in general, and masturbation in particular. She discusses how being in back-to-back relationships with men led to her feeling like her sexual attraction to women somehow didn't count, and how coming out on stage actually helped her get past that ("it legitimized it to me as soon as people laughed at what I was saying"). Also, Carmen shares her high school obsession with G.I. Jane, and Lauren tells a story about Michelle Rodriguez that she probably shouldn't!Follow Carmen on Instagram at @carmstagrams and on Twitter at @CarmenLagala, and subscribe to her YouTube channel at youtube.com/@carmenlagalacomedy! Ariel Demure is a chameleon who could be dark-haired, a redhead, or blonde on any given day. Her smoking hot looks harken back to the glamourous Vivid and Digital Playground contract stars who heated up the screen. And although she's glamorous, she's also down to earth and has a sparking personality and wit. Award-winning, sought-after directors like Ricky Greenwood sing her praises for being the total package of beauty, professionalism, acting, and on-screen performances. At a young age, it was evident that she was destined for greatness when she snagged the crown for prom queen in high school. Ariel got her start in the industry in strip clubs, was a makeup artist who did drag performances under the name Liv Demure for five years at local show bars in Fort Lauderdale and worked retail before making the leap into adulthood. With just a few years in the industry, Ariel is in demand and has worked for all the top studios and has appeared in over 80 scenes for Adult Time's Oopsie! and Transfixed, Grooby, Evil Angel, TransAngels, Gender X Films, Devil's Film, and Transsensual, and has scored tons of DVD covers. And she's one of the few stars to have a perfect 5-star rating from fans on Adult Empire. Ariel has also received many accolades for her work, and in 2023 she won Best Hardcore Performer and Best Boy/Girl Scene from the TEAs and Best Thespian – Trans/X and Best Trans One-on-One Sex Scene from the AVN Awards and Best Top, Best Threeway Scene, and Movie of the Year from the Fleshbot Awards. Additionally, she has received eight AVN Awards nominations for Trans Performer of the Year, Best Thespian (twice), Best Trans Newcomer, and multiple noms for her scene work, six TEAs nods for Best Hardcore Performer (twice) and scene work, Trans Performer of the Year from XBIZ, Best Transsexual Performer from NightMoves, Best Premium Social Media Star from the AltStar Awards, seven Fleshbot Awards noms for Trans Performer of the Year and her scene work, Best Transgender Performer of the Year from the Urban X Awards, and Trans Performer of the Year from the XRCOs. Ariel's been profiled by AVN Magazine, who hailed her as one of the top newcomers when she scored four AVN Awards nominations in 2022, more than any newcomer in history. She updates us on her developments with Your Other Sisters, including a pivotal experience at Revoice this summer where she met some prospective YOS members as well as fellow YOB members for the first time. Sexuality aside, Erin discusses a general resonance with queer culture and then explains how her sexuality most aligns with pansexuality: an attraction for people regardless of gender. She also discloses being somewhere on the asexual (ace) spectrum. Erin shares some of her journey of self-discovery with sexuality, growing up in purity culture as a woman, living in Cambodia doing missions work, eventually dating men, and getting back to America on the other side of a pandemic. Hunter is most known for his TikTok account with over one million followers and fans share in his humor, his hurt, his politics and his sexuality. While Hunter does identify as pansexual, he does not spend a lot of time worrying about it. In this episode, I ask hunter what it is like as a man entering queer spaces, masculinity judgements, bigotry, religious trauma, etc. He attributes much of his exploration to being friends with queer women, which I love. I could talk to Hunter forever, he is so well spoken and so aware of his own privileges and shortcomings, it was incredibly refreshing. On today's episode, P sits down with her best friend of 21 years (WILD) Cailin Campbell to have the most vulnerable conversation. The two best friends talk about their childhood, growing up in a small town, and how they both navigated their sexuality as teens. Cailin openly identifies as pansexual and has been in a straight passing relationship with her boyfriend for nearly a decade. She dives into how she has struggled to fit in with the LGBTQIA+ community over the years since she got into a relationship at such a young age. However, Cailin has been able to grow and overcome those internal thoughts and is so grateful that she can be open with her partner about her pansexuality. This conversation is a must-listen for anyone who identifies as queer but is in a happy and committed heterosexual relationship. Cailin says it many times throughout this episode but she wants everyone to know that your partner does not define your sexuality. If you want to send Cailin a message or keep up with her, you can follow this lil gemini babe below @cailincamps on Instagram.
On this week's episode, we had the most inspiring conversation with Alexa Rose Vitale. Alexa is a queer actor/director/total boss. She started her career as a model and actor in Punjabi music videos. Soon she was writing and directing her own work, including a queer TV pilot about two girls navigating their sexuality in Vancouver.Alexa tells us about the complex and frustrating process of shopping a pilot about queer characters—as a queer, feminine creator in a cis-male dominated industry. She navigated through so much pushback, ultimately reclaiming control of her work and standing up for her creative vision. We're SO grateful to Alexa for this eye-opening conversation. Hour 3 - Good Friday morning! Here's what Nick Reed covers this hour: A Facebook post from a New Jersey mom complaining about sexual preference posters at her child's elementary school prompted a shocking response from the U.S. military. A high-ranking U.S. military official was called on to resign Wednesday after he responded to a Facebook post by Angela Reading, a mother and member of the Northern Burlington Board of Education, flagging her to local police for exhibiting what he described as "safety concerns." The lovely Emily Johnson stops by: Are the holidays a good time to sell your home? What does the housing market look like right now? If you're looking to buy or sell, give Emily a call today! Josh with the Pyramid Roofing also joins us: Can you get a roof during the winter months? The answer is yes! Right now is actually a great time because the roofing industry slows down a little bit in cooler months. Nick shares a story with Josh about a listener experience. For the next few weeks, I want to do episodes on common misconceptions regarding Bisexuality. Once such is the idea that Bisexuality and Pansexuality are the same thing. Although there is a lot of overlap, those that choose these identities hold them separate. Today we start one of our new features for Season Five: If You Liked…Read This! We begin with Ali Hazelwood's The Love Hypothesis, a book that took romance and BookTok by storm last year when it burst onto the NYT best seller list and hung out there for nearly a year, bringing so many new readers (and Reylos!) to romance. This one is full of tropes romance loves, and we take them topic by topic, recommending read alikes for everything from grumpy/sunshine, to academic romance, to STEM heroines, to that spicy sex scene that was a delightfully unexpected surprise! That, and we've got a bunch of Reylo fic recommended from Ali herself (check the end of show notes)!Show NotesTattoos are expensive! ReyLo is the ship name for Kylo Ren and Rey from the Star Wars movies. And the actor who plays Kylo Ren is Adam Driver. All about Pansexuality.Censorship on TikTok is so widespread is has its own wikipedia page, which makes it rife for misinformation about sex and sex education.Small point of order, Jen was at the LPI (Lunar and Planetary Institute), which is close to the Johnson NASA Space Center in Houston. "What does this look like in practice? It's pretty common to act differently on varying types of attraction. You might: enjoy kissing and cuddling partners of one gender but only have sex with people of another gender enjoy a specific type of sex with one gender, but have different kinds of sex with other genders develop romantic attachments with people of one gender and pursue physical relationships with people of other genders These are all valid relationship styles. Just take care to practice good communication! What makes this different from being bisexual or pansexual? On the surface, sexual fluidity might seem pretty similar to bisexuality and pansexuality. Remember, though, bisexuality and pansexuality are orientations, and sexual fluidity is not. Bisexuality doesn't mean the same thing to everyone, but it's typically recognized as a fairly consistent attraction to two groups: people of your gender and people of other genders. Some people who identify as bisexual might only feel attracted to people of two genders. Others might develop attractions to people of multiple genders. Pansexuality, on the other hand, means you might experience attraction to any person, regardless of their gender. In other words, you're attracted to people of all genders. You can be both sexually fluid and bisexual or pansexual. For example: Sexually fluid pansexual people might occasionally feel most attracted to people of one gender, then more attracted to different genders again. Sexually fluid bisexual people might temporarily feel more attracted to one gender over another, but this won't permanently alter their overall attraction to people of other genders." --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/antonio-myers4/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/antonio-myers4/support

When MaxFun's own Janet Varney saw Peter Jackson's HEAVENLY CREATURES as a teen, she didn't let the movie's whole matricide thing keep her from feeling seen. The daydreamy, obsessive devotion of a young Kate Winslet and a young Melanie Lynskey for one another was what really stood out. She and Jordan unpack all of that, plus talk about queer murderers in film, the “danger” of women alone together, the importance of valuing teenage feelings, and much more! Then, Jordan has one quick thing about Peter Jackson's (other) early work! It's the final days of the MaxFunDrive! Please join our ranks! maximumfun.org/joinIf you're not already listening to JV Club, check it out!AND: Jordan was just the guest on One Bad Mother – give it listen!***With Jordan Crucchiola and Janet Varney

When Krys Marshall (FOR ALL MANKIND's Danielle Poole) told us she felt seen by Clementine from ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND, Annie from ANNIE HALL, and Selma from DANCER IN THE DARK, we couldn't wait to get together and hear the full story. Krys and Jordan talk about how these free spirited (and sometimes misunderstood) women speak to Krys as an actor and as a person. In one quick thing, Jordan's seen THE NORTHMAN and can't wait to tell you the phrase she left the theater chanting.***With Jordan Crucchiola and Krys Marshall

Keeping it real, real....After a heavy happy hour, I sat down with two of my friends to discuss our recent trip to Oaxaca, Mexico and how Jessica's daughter is pansexual. She shares navigating motherhood and her therapist's poor advice of ditching a yoga routine. Adrian chimes in with a Catholic school boy perspective. We all agree Jesus is our homeboy, but society makes it so hard to demonstrate that. Grab a cocktail for this one! It's fun, funny, and a bit of a sh*tshow.
Part of breaking down stigma around sex and sexuality for the generations below us is by sharing our stories together. In this episode my sweet friend tells his story about raising a trans child and his story of discovering his pansexuality later in his life after divorce, burning man, and finding a community he felt safe in. Hear how he tells his inner voice to shut the fuck up so he can experience all that life has to offer him!www.amberadical.comIf you are looking for Naia's Trauma Informed Eating Disorder Group or Info, please visit her website at www.nutritionwithnaia.com/free-group/ and tune in soon to hear her episode about the connection between sexual trauma and disordered eating.Enter Sex Without Fear's Giveaway on Instagram @sexwithoutfearSupport the show
