While our culture increasingly embraces confusion about gender and sexuality, the creation of male and female was God's intentional design from the very beginning. Scripture reveals that we are image-bearers of God, created to reflect His nature and His divine design for marriage. In Episode 4 of "Jesus – Our Hero Husband", Duane Sheriff teaches that marriage is rooted in creation itself, where God intentionally created humanity male and female to reveal the covenant relationship between Christ and His Church. Drawing from Genesis, the teachings of Jesus, and other key passages, he explains why God's design for marriage, identity, and sexuality remains timeless, life-giving, and unchanging.Discover how biblical marriage provides loving boundaries, why our identity is secure in our Creator rather than our feelings, and how embracing God's design leads to freedom, wholeness, and a deeper understanding of our relationship with Jesus, our Hero Husband.
Nancy Guthrie: The ransom notes do they offer new clues, are they real? Are the ransom notes authentic, why did the Sheriff wait 6 months to release them? Will any meaningful results come from the public in regards to the ransom notes? Sheriff nanos said that hetill believes nancy Guthrie could still be alive. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. The only conviction in the Nancy Guthrie case is for fake ransom texts — and the sheriff running the investigation publicly stated the wrong sentence. Retired FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer examines the gap between what Sheriff Nanos told the public about Derrick Callella's disposition and what the plea agreement actually reads. From there, the conversation moves to the complete communication failure between the FBI and Pima County, Savannah Guthrie's new video plea and the pointed language that suggests she knows something the rest of us don't, and an assault near Nancy's neighborhood with a suspect matching the porch figure's description. Coffindaffer brings twenty-eight years of FBI experience to a case that, six months in, has produced no named suspect and no arrest.LinksJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
Nancy Guthrie has been missing from her Tucson home for six months. In that time, exactly one person has been convicted of anything — Derrick Callella, who pled guilty to sending fake ransom texts to her family. When Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos described that conviction publicly, he stated a sentence that doesn't match the plea agreement. Retired FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer breaks down what that tells us about the investigation's trajectory, the total communication failure between the FBI and the sheriff's office, and what Savannah Guthrie's latest video plea — the most pointed language she has ever used publicly — might signal about where this case is heading. This conversation covers the institutional cracks, the similar home invasion thirty miles away, and whether law enforcement dysfunction in Pima County is making the community less safe.LinksJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? We are the bride, and Jesus is our Hero Husband. Marriage isn't just a human institution—it's holy matrimony because it reflects the sacred covenant between Christ and His Church. In Episode 3 of "Jesus – Our Hero Husband", Duane Sheriff explores the profound biblical truth that marriage was divinely ordained by God before sin entered the world, revealing Christ's covenant relationship with His bride. Drawing from Ephesians 5, Genesis, and Revelation 21, he explains why marriage is called holy matrimony and how this sacred institution points to Jesus' faithful, sacrificial love for His Church. As the world's assault on biblical marriage continues, this message reveals that the battle is ultimately against the gospel itself and God's original design. More importantly, it reminds believers of their true identity as the bride of Christ, cherished, nourished, and forever united to their Hero Husband. As we embrace this great mystery, we find lasting security, purpose, and confidence in Christ's covenant love, allowing His truth—not the confusion of our culture—to define who we are.

Six months of investigation into Nancy Guthrie's disappearance and the sheriff can't accurately describe the only conviction connected to the case. Jennifer Coffindaffer, retired FBI with twenty-eight years in the bureau, walks through the disconnect between what Sheriff Nanos stated publicly about Derrick Callella's sentence and what the plea agreement actually says. The conversation covers the zero-contact relationship between the FBI director and the county sheriff, Savannah Guthrie's new public plea and the shift in her language, and a home invasion thirty miles from Nancy's house that matches the profile of the porch intruder — which Nanos says has no connection. Six months, a million-dollar reward, and the only person convicted got probation for sending texts.LinksJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? The message was identical for all of them. The friends who left Nolan Wells on Horn Island with his phone. Their families. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office. The district attorney. The coroner. The state medical examiner. Every one of them received a ten-page preservation-of-evidence letter from Nolan's family attorneys on July 20 — the same day Nolan was buried at Center Pointe Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. The letters directed every recipient to suspend automatic deletion, preserve all materials in their original form, and treat civil litigation as reasonably anticipated. The message was clear: we are coming, and you need to keep everything.Nolan was eighteen. He went to a July 4 boat party on Horn Island with friends, was reportedly left behind when their boat took on water, and his body was found two days later. The sheriff said no foul play before the autopsy came back. The DA sealed the official results behind a grand jury with no set date. The independent autopsy returned undetermined.Nine days after the funeral, Christine Wells-Wonsley filed subpoenas against five tech companies for Nolan's digital records — including GPS data that she'd already found told two different stories depending on which app you checked. The criminal track and the family's civil track are now running simultaneously.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? What if the depth of God's love for us is far greater than we've ever imagined? In Episode 2 of "Jesus - Our Hero Husband", Duane Sheriff explores one of Scripture's greatest mysteries: Christ's covenant relationship with His Church, revealed through the institution of marriage. Drawing from Ephesians 3 and 5, he invites us to comprehend the width, length, depth, and height of God's love—a love that surpasses mere intellectual knowledge and can only be grasped by the Spirit.Rather than measuring God's love by our emotions or circumstances, discover how it was demonstrated at the cross. As we come to understand His sacrificial, unconditional love, we are transformed and filled with the fullness of God. Through the biblical picture of marriage, we learn that Jesus loves us as He loves Himself because we are one spirit with Him, flesh of His flesh and bone of His bones. This breathtaking truth revolutionizes our relationship with God and draws us into deeper intimacy with our Hero Husband.

As he explains how Jesus loves, nourishes, cherishes, and remains faithful to His people, you'll discover the depth, width, length, and height of God's love in a fresh and personal way. When this mystery is unveiled, fear gives way to confidence, intimacy with Christ deepens, and God's beautiful design for marriage is revealed. Discover the Hero Husband who will never leave you and whose covenant love changes everything.

For six months, the Guthrie family's message was consistent: bring her home. Proof of life. We're ready to talk. Make contact. Every video, every public statement, every reward bump carried the same underlying assumption — that there was someone on the other end of the line holding Nancy Guthrie and willing to deal. On July 27th, Savannah Guthrie dropped that assumption entirely. Her new video doesn't ask for contact. It doesn't demand proof of life. It asks where to look. And in the same breath, she offered something to the person who allegedly abducted her eighty-four-year-old mother that nobody saw coming. This episode dissects the language of Savannah's plea, the explosive week that preceded it — the Crime Junkie ransom revelations, the FBI-versus-Sheriff public war — and the grim ledger of six months of investigative dead ends that may have forced this shift.END LINKS:Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Cuyahoga County Council clash over elected sheriff proposal Cuyahoga County is the only county in Ohio where the sheriff is appointed instead of elected. The change came as part of the county's sweeping government overhaul following a public corruption scandal that led voters to approve a new county charter in 2009. Supporters argued that making the sheriff an appointed position would strengthen oversight and accountability. But after years of turnover in the office, critics now question whether the system has delivered on those promises. Tuesday on the “Sound of Ideas,” we'll explore the question: Should Cuyahoga County return to an elected sheriff? We'll look at why the county adopted this system, how a revolving door of sheriffs over the past decade has fueled calls for change and the competing proposals now before the council. What if the greatest move of God in our lifetime depends on one generation empowering the next instead of competing with it? Too often, churches preserve methods while neglecting the people God wants to reach. In Acceleration Mandate, Duane Sheriff sits down with Pastor John Nuzzo to explore God's pattern for generational acceleration through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Together they reveal the difference between the unchanging Gospel and the changing methods used to reach each generation, showing why seasoned believers must pass on wisdom, experience, and resources rather than personal preferences. They also address leadership transitions, spiritual legacy, the dangers of division, and why every believer—not just pastors—has a role in accelerating the next generation. Discover how turning hearts across generations can prepare the Church for a great awakening and a lasting Kingdom impact.

What happens when Americans expect FBI-level investigations from departments operating on county budgets? In this Best of Common Sense episode, Chad Law explores the widening gap between federal investigative agencies and the local law enforcement officers responsible for solving the vast majority of crimes in America.Using one nationally watched investigation as a starting point, Chad explains why modern policing increasingly depends on resources many local agencies simply don't possess—and why the answer isn't necessarily more federal power, but stronger local institutions.Along the way, the conversation covers:• The difference between federal and local investigative capabilities• Why constitutional policing matters• How staffing and training affect justice• Why Americans ignore the elections that matter most• Whether technology can ever replace community policing• Why rebuilding local government may be the key to rebuilding trustIf you've ever wondered why some investigations look dramatically different than others, this episode explains the structural reasons behind it.
Over the weekend there was some back & forth on Jeff's Facebook page about the Sheriff Election in Hanover.

"Did you know when you get born again, you become a brand new person inside?"When we experience the miracle of being born again, something profound happens that goes beyond simply trying harder. We become a brand-new person on the inside, completely transformed and united with Christ. Yet many believers never fully understand what took place at salvation, leaving them struggling to grow and mature in their faith. In Episode 15 of "Born Again, What Now?", Duane Sheriff explores the critical transition from conversion to discipleship by uncovering the believer's new identity in Christ. Romans 5 reveals the powerful contrast between who we were in Adam and who we are in Christ. We were not made sinners because of our personal sins, but through Adam's disobedience. In the same way, we are not made righteous through our own good works, but through faith in Jesus Christ, the second Adam. Understanding this truth changes everything. Our identity in Christ connects us to God's purpose, sets the course for our lives, and restores the wholeness that sin fractured.Discover how knowing who you are in Christ empowers you to walk in freedom, grow in spiritual maturity, and fulfill God's purpose for your life.
On the evening of December 24, 1926, a farmer in Farwell, Texas, called the sheriff to report that his neighbor, George Hassell, had been acting very strangely in recent days and he had been telling conflicting stories about the whereabouts of his family, who had been missing for several days. When the sheriff arrived at the Hassell farm, he began questioning George about where his family had gone, but mid conversation, Hassell removed a pocket knife from his pocket and stabbed himself three times in the chest. Hassell was taken to the hospital, where he was not expected to survive, but against the odds, George pulled through. With no option for escape and having given law enforcement good reason to suspect him in the disappearance of his family, George began confessing to multiple murders. At first, it was assumed he had flown into a rage and murdered his family a week earlier, but the more Hassell talked, the clearer it became that George Hassell violent and murderous behavior went well beyond the walls of his home in Farwell. John Larn had all the appearances of a respectable man. He owned a ranch, married into one of the most powerful families in Shackleford County, and was even elected as Sheriff. Sheriff Bob Fletcher joins the Crabby Coffee crew for a no-BS conversation you won't hear anywhere else in Minnesota media. The longtime Ramsey County lawman sits down and lays it out straight: the growing problem of Somali youth gangs fueling violence in the Twin Cities, the hard numbers on the roughly 300 kids driving the chaos, and why pretending it doesn't exist helps no one, especially the Somali community itself.Fletcher talks candidly about what it's like to wear the badge in today's political climate, where telling the truth gets you labeled and common-sense policing takes a backseat to optics. But at the heart of it all? A guy who's spent decades building youth programs, gang intervention, and safe schools because he genuinely wants to do right by the kids and keep families safe. No political agenda, no grandstanding, just a cop who still believes in results over rhetoric. If you're tired of tip-toeing around real problems, this episode is for you and remember: anything that needs figuring out can still be figured out… even when the politicians don't want to hear itSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
