On 27 Nov 2006, Ginger Gilbert Ravella had the run pulled out from under her and her world came crashing down. Her husband, Major Troy Gilbert, was an F16 pilot from the 309th Fighter Wing, Luke AFB, Arizona. He was deployed to Balad and during a close air-support mission to a special operations forces about 40 miles north his plane crashed. Insurgents took the body as a war trophy and it would be 10 years before he was found and brought back home. Ginger was left to raise 5 children, all under the age of 9, and rebuild their lives. Jay and Donna sit down with Ginger as she tells her story on what it took to come back after having her world turned upside down; what she is doing now to give back; and what advice she has for those that have walked in similar shoes. Ginger's Bio Ginger Gilbert Ravella is a military wife and widow, mother of five, stepmother of two, writer and international speaker. At 36 years old, she faced the sudden tragic loss of her college-sweetheart husband in Operation Iraqi Freedom and the horrors that quickly followed. Her late husband, Major Troy Gilbert, an Air Force F-16 pilot, gave his life while saving over twenty Special Operation soldiers, defining a true American war hero. His remains were tragically taken from the crash site by Iraqi insurgents, which ultimately led to the most unprecedented and captivating story of recovery in U.S. military history. Major Gilbert left behind five beautiful children, all under the age of 9 years old. Ginger's openly genuine testimony of wrestling with God in the midst of despair and depression resonates with those who question their faith and future in the face of tragedy. Their private pain became front-page news time and time again over the amazing ten-year journey of bringing Troy home to U.S. soil. Each time the crypto market moves higher, it's met with erratic and steep selling and once again that happened today. Bitcoin, ETH, DOGE, SOL, DOT, ADA, AVAX, BNB and LUNA all had nice moves with Ethereum being up 10% at one stage, then whack, we close down on the day and erase those gains. It makes it tricky for cryptotraders with the erratic behaviour, so be careful and keep trading risk low. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

The Shoreline City Council unanimously approved a new energy code on Monday that prohibits most uses of fossil fuels in new buildings.
Synopsis “Snuff” is a finely pulverized tobacco that can be, well, “snuffed” through the nose. In the 19th century, taking snuff was a common practice, and on today's date in 1837, the most notorious example of snuff-taking in music history occurred –or didn't, depending on who you believe – during the premiere in Paris of the massive “Requiem Mass” of the French composer Hector Berlioz. As Berlioz tells it in his Memoirs, the conductor of the performance, Francois-Antoine Habeneck, decided to take a pinch of snuff during an especially tricky passage, at the very moment he should have been giving an important cue to the orchestra. To avert disaster, Berlioz jumped up, gave the cue, and afterwards accused Habeneck of sabotage. Some eye-witnesses are on record saying, “Yes, that's just how it happened,” while others, equally emphatic, state, “Preposterous! Nothing of the sort occurred.” Whom to believe? Well, it IS known that once the basic tempo was set, M. Habeneck was in the habit of putting down his baton to let the orchestra play on by themselves. He would then calmly take a pinch of snuff. Sometimes, it's said, he even offered snuff to his neighbors, so perhaps those performances were indeed sabotaged – by an especially loud sneeze! Music Played in Today's Program Hector Berlioz (1803–1869) — Requiem, Op. 5 (French Radio Chorus and Orchestra; Leonard Bernstein, cond.) Sony 47526

Of course named after my label Suspended Soul Tapes Records. Which I put a Bob Lazar tape out on. Then her other band Snuffed put out a 7inch ep on Another City Media. Hey, Mourning Crew, I'm back! Deja vu, right? For real though, I am going to try to make more episodes because I love doing it, and some of you are fond of it too. This week's guest is by buddy Seven, also known as the clown killer, the man so great they named him seven times, Snuffed on Sight (@snuffedonsight7k). Tune in as we act like fools talking about everything from tapes to the weather. Check him out on all music platforms. The gang hangs out with special guest host Fountain Frank and talks about the claim that Goonswarm is unanchoring Keepstars. Can this really be believed? Why not! Snuffed Out loses a faction Fortizar in low-security space but not without claiming nearly a trillion ISK in kills and losses. We've got the insider to talk about it. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/trashtalktuesday/support
In today's episode, Drew and Madison debate about whether a few different Survivor players are Heroes or Villains. Enjoy! Apologies for the weird audio with the music. Tried to fix it in editing, but couldn't. I know the levels are sporatic.

The memories of Super Tuesday are a distant past, as are the memories of the five additional contestants who dropped out this week in the 2020 Democratic presidential Hunger Games. In the lead-up to Super Tuesday, Pete Buttigieg, the former South Bend, Indiana mayor, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), and billionaire Tom Steyer bowed out of the competition. With a dismal performance and more than a half billion dollars spent, former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg also dropped out. His race lasted but a few months and cost him more than $18 million per delegate. And finally, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) cast her last arrow, determining that the voters did not think she would be the first female president. They all had their flickers, but their flames have been snuffed.
I swear, we tried really hard to be positive, but then we remembered adult babies exist. Got a few really solid bands this week, though. Keep the good submissions coming. Taff to take for Liverpool at Swansea as they ended their unbeaten run in South Wales. Was it a bad approach from Klopp and his players or more likely just "one of them"? Did anyone play well? Is it too easy to forget that Liverpool had chances at 0-0 to open the scoring? In general though these have been the games Liverpool have been struggling in. Is there something underlying in that? Neil Atkinson hosts as Ian Salmon, Andy Heaton and Rob Gutmann chat through the game and this show is in association with Redsbet. This week Ed Ward and Nate talk about 1960, a year when the American corporate brass thought they had tamed the rock and roll rebels of the 1950s. We’ll talk about how Ray Charles and Sam Cooke took advantage of the opportunities presented to gifted performers who didn’t frighten the establishment and how to do that they had to overcome the market-driven production ideas of the big record companies.
