We are back, Friends, with a deep dive into Intuitive Spirituality! Taking care of ourselves spiritually means a lot of different things when your intuition is your guide. I hope we hit the right balance between what turned out t be a rather philosophical take on what your spirituality could mean for you, this is definitely an episode where I attempted to speak as broadly as I could on the topic, and I hope it didn't feel like we were only floating in the cloud of ideas. I always want you to feel like your intuition is alive in your very real life. If you identified with the discussion, please let me know! Your questions and ideas are always welcome! Is prayer part of your daily self-care? If you think of self-care only as things like eating right, exercising, getting enough sleep…you may be missing out on one of the most important and effective forms of self-care! How is prayer self-care? If you have followed any of the apparitions of Mother Mary, you will know that there is a theme that runs through them… ”Pray! Pray! Pray!” She often tells us that prayer is the answer to most of our personal AND global problems. But HOW is prayer the answer, and what can we do to access this power? In this encore episode, I share my own experience with prayer, and will share true stories about what I have witnessed as an Energy Intuitive. I have seen how prayer impacts and strengthens the energy field of my clients. I will also explain why this is so. Ready to go even deeper with prayer? Click here to join Mother Mary's Pray Like a Priestess Program! Key Learnings: Prayer is more than just words in your head. Prayer is a vibrational act that can magnify your energy field. Whether you know it or not, prayers are passed down to you from your ancestors, and your prayers will be passed down in your lineage as well. They are literally in your energy field and bless you in ways you can't even imagine. There are so many things you can do to take care of your body and mind, but what about your spirit? Prayer is Spiritual Self-Care and is one of the most important things you can do. It moves you beyond your ego and connects you with your true self. “Prayer IS Self-Care. It is Spiritual Self-Care because it moves you beyond your small self and connects you with your true Self. That alone is one of the most caring things you can do for yourself.” Click here to register for the Pray Like a Priestess Program Seeking a metaphysical coach? This episode of DMC is about spiritual self-care. This means, what are we doing to take care of our neshama? What are we doing to invest in our connection to Yiddishkeit and Hashem? Because if we don't take care of our spiritual side, we know what happens. It's the same with when we don't take care of our bodies, or our relationships, or our linen closets…the law of entropy entails and things start falling apart. Our guest for this deep meaningful conversation is Rebbetzin Dr. Adina Shmidman, the founding director of the OU Women's Initiative. This topic is one near and dear to Rebbetzin Shmidman's heart as her life's work is creating ways for women all over North America to stay connected to their communities and their Torah learning. Rebbetzin Shmidman understands why spiritual self-care is so vital to our well-being as Jewish women. On this episode we discuss: How Rebbetzin Dr. Shmidman became the director of the OU Women's Initiative Her goals for Orthodox women in her capacity as an organizational leader An initiative she's particularly proud of that she was able to implement in this role The definition of spiritual self-care and why she's passionate about it The main challenges frum women face in practicing spiritual self-care Rebbetzin Dr. Shmidman's favorite self-care practice We'd love to hear from you. When we think about spiritual practices, we often compartmentalize these to certain days or a penciled-in time on our schedules. Carving out time for ritual and contemplation is wonderful, but we can also look to our daily activities to bring more spiritual awareness. Finding the connection between our physical chores and the spiritual lessons contained within these necessary tasks allows us to keep the energy of evolution flowing even during the busiest seasons in our lives.

This is part 2 of a two-part series of episodes featuring Jill's guest, Sarah Adams. , Sarah Adams Intuitive Consultant, offers professional tarot and astrology as well as channeling, reiki & chakra work. She has been practicing tarot, astrology, energy work and doing various kinds of readings for 20 years. Sarah is in the process of rebranding her business but to join her mailing list or for readings contact her at Sarah_Adams1@yahoo.comIn this episode Sarah Adams discusses the importance of Astrology to be more present and aware of our energy and how the external world and the Universe may be affecting us. If we are self-aware and conscious of the larger cycles around us we can learn to adjust to this divine flow and roll with the punches. Anyone who learns their own astrology (and how the current transits affect their natal planet placements) can benefit from learning more about themselves and the lessons they are dealing with (courtesy of the planets cycles). Self-care can be crucial when we are getting hit with some intense astrological transits. In early October 2022, there are six astral bodies in retrograde. When forces are bigger than us, the best thing we can do is give it over. It helps to go with the flow of astrology; Mercury Retro for example: Time to pause and reflect, recharge, revisit and redo. Astro Significant Dates: Pluto Direct 10/8, Full Moon Aries 10/9, Eclipse Season: The eclipses are taking place on the axis of Scorpio/Taurus where the South node and North node of the moon are right now.Eclipses will highlight shadow or underbelly of humanity to shed light and bring relief to these unpleasant issues. Human rights and quality of life matter. *Partial Solar Eclipse/New Moon in 2 degrees Scorpio 10/25Death and rebirth, power dynamics and themes around sex and sexual violence or oppression, as well as control reproductive rights . Scorpio in its highest vibration is a deeply sensitive and healing energy. Scorpio season- everything's dying. However, sometimes it's in the dark and stillness that we find what we are looking for. Scorpio is also detective energy; gets to bottom. The revealer of truth. Lifts the veil off what's been hidden.Conjunct venus so time to reevaluate relationships and quality of life *Total Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon in 16 degrees Taurus 11/7 or 11/8 (Northeastern US)Sarah's suggestions for Self Care for the Spirit: Prayer/Prayer candles with intention: Energy work (including Chakra work).Spiritual Rituals: Twice a month I do new moon and full moon rituals, themes varying on what sign the moon is in. New moon- setting intentions planting seeds of what want to work on. Full moon- release standing in one's power, having the light shine on what was hidden; truth coming to the surface Divination: Affirmation/intention cards, oracle cards, animal spirit cards, tarot cards, channeling, tea leaves, candle gazing.

Our guest today, Tara Stiles, first discovered yoga in New York while training to be a dancer. In our conversation, Tara shares how that first yoga class ignited her curiosity, and how she gradually made the transition from hustling in New York and being an aspiring dancer, to starting her own yoga studio, called Stråla, with her husband, Mike. We spend some time talking about the yoga scene at the time (including the pushback she received for diverging from established methods of teaching), and why she was determined to make yoga accessible to anyone eager to learn. Tuning in you'll hear how Tara went from teaching yoga in Central Park to starting her studio and flying around the world for a dizzying array of opportunities. She reveals feeling overwhelmed at this time, the effect it had on her marriage, and how she ultimately realized that she needed to slow down. We also discussed Tara's book Clean Mind, Clean Body: A 28-Day Plan for Physical, Mental, and Spiritual Self-Care, and what it was like writing it. As we wrap up, Tara shares the most important things she's learned about life, entrepreneurship, and marriage over the course of her life and career. Life is rarely simple (or straightforward), and no matter how much you plan, it never seems to go quite as expected. Tune in to learn about Tara's fascinating life journey and what she has learned from it!

Have you ever heard the expression, You can't pour from an empty cup, take care of yourself first? I'm sure you have watched the flight attendant show you that it is important to put your oxygen mask on first before assisting others? This episode is all about fighting the stupid “norm” of putting yourself at the bottom of your to-do list. This episode is to help you establish even the simplest forms of self-care that will not only help calm your anxiety and stress but make you a better person for everyone around you in your business and your home. You may be struggling to keep all of the things in your life “together”. Something in your life may be heavily requiring your attention, which is making it difficult to keep going at the hustling pace you have set for yourself. You may feel if you let one ball in the air drop, they will all drop and you'll be screwed. I know that is how I have felt for years, but I'm here to tell you, that is not the truth ladies. Sometimes you need to let one, two, or even 5 of those balls drop so you can take care of the more important ones. You can always start juggling those balls again and this time, you may even be better at it. Or better yet, realize that one or some of those balls don't serve your bigger purpose anymore and you decide to just leave them out. Sometimes the break of the overwhelm is a blessing in disguise. It allows you to take inventory of your life and incorporate only the things that are serving you at this time. Some of the things that used to be important to us, just aren't anymore. If you are a working mama, you know how much things in your life changed after having that baby. Some of the activities and even friends that you had before that time, just don't fit your new lifestyle and we have to take inventory and purge. Ladies - we have to stop feeling guilty for this. We have to stop worrying about everyone else's opinion of us. Let me ask you this, what is your opinion of yourself? Do you take care of yourself? Or do you put everyone else in your life, even the ones that you don't particularly care about or see an ROI on, before yourself? I know that sometimes we sacrifice ourselves and time with the ones we care about for the sake of keeping the peace or making complete strangers happy. If I am speaking to you today and you find yourself nodding your head to the words that are coming out of my mouth, let's keep going here. I have taken the last two weeks to really reflect on this and I am ready to share with you what I have been discovering about myself. My self-worth is not tied to my presence or the success of my business. For years, I based my success as a human on the success of the work I was completing daily at the office. I wasn't even considering the amazing things I have been able to complete being a single mama for so many years and the incredible group of people I have around me. Nope! It was all tied to how I spent my life living around the business and my office hours. This week it truly clicked for me. I am not my business. Therefore, I must find ways I can be ME without my business. How can I practice more self-care to truly get in tune with who I am and how I am doing as a human on this planet! Here are the categories I have decided to focus on: 1 - Physical Self Care 2 - Emotional Self Care 3- Intellectual Self Care 4- Spiritual Self Care 5 - Social Self Care 6 - Sensory Self Care. https://www.linkedin.com/in/tanyamerrittwilson https://www.ladieskickinass.com https://www.pinterest.com/ladieskickinass https://www.facebook.com/groups/ladieskickina --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ladieskickinass/message

Join us for another amazing episode as part of our conversation on Spiritual Self Care in the Mind Body Spirit! This week I was lucky enough to go deep with yoga instructor, creator of Haus of Zeph, host of the @misfitmondays podcast, and Beautiful Human Zephyr Williams !! Zeph and I are addressing why so many people are disconnected from a self care practice, the importance of "coming home to yourself" and aligning with your true essence. We are also making the connection that identifying as LGBTQIA or disconnecting from the concept of gender entirely is part of a spiritual journey - a "coming out". Spiritual self care is about connection to Self (capital S), connection to each other and potentially connection to something bigger. As Zeph puts it: " When I belong to me, I belong to we" If you like what you hear, please subscribe to the YouTube show, follow on your podcast platform and share, pretty please!
