If you find yourself in one bad relationship after another, it could be a sign that you’d rather be with anyone than be on your own. Many people become complacent and settle for less than they deserve just because they like the idea of having someone. But how do you know if you are settling for less than you deserve? On this episode of Women of Impact, Lisa Bilyeu is joined by Certified Life & Relationship Coach, Speaker, & Bestselling Author Stephan Labossiere, a.k.a Stephan Speaks. They explore three common reasons why most women settle for an unfulfilling relationship. Stephan explains the bad advice that makes most people stay in relationships they don´t belong in. Furthermore, Stephan shares the fundamentals that every successful relationship needs and why a connection isn´t built, how to know whether you’re listening to your fear or intuition. He explains why couples lose attraction and how to recreate attraction if you feel it´s gone and what to do if your partner has changed in a negative way and how to differentiate tough times with when it’s time to break up with your partner. Welcome to another episode of Recruit and Retain Trucking Edition. Today’s episode focuses around content, as in digital marketing. Content is an area that a high percentage - more than 90% of trucking companies, are not doing enough with. They’re just not doing the right content. There’s a fair amount of misunderstanding around content with folks thinking you need to have a big budget, you need to have a video shoot, asking what does content look like? What can I do? There’s just so many questions around content! And so we’ve invited the hugely insightful Lisa Lawrence onto the podcast to lift the lid on content and share best practices with us, not to mention creating a trucking company’s dream content strategy. “I think that companies should sit down and discuss a content strategy and not just try to pull it together without a plan.” Why Lisa? Well, she's the digital strategist at Digital Mark Group, or DMG for short, but she’s also married to a truck driver recruiter, so she not only knows all things content marketing, but she also understands the trucking industry and our specific issues, in particular the drama around recruiting truck drivers. So if you’re wondering what you can do to improve your content strategy, download this latest episode, subscribe or follow Recruit and Retain wherever you get your podcasts. What you’ll learn about in this episode: Why create a story of your company How to create a content strategy The importance of backlinks Video is a great content piece How to create an ad strategy Repurposing your content Where to post your content How to connect with Lisa Lawrence: LinkedIn: Lisa Lawrence lisa.lawrence@digitalmarkgroup.com

Lisa had a massive stroke at age 30. Her husband fought and overcame prostate cancer. Lisa's daughter has struggled through debilitating mental health issues. Lisa Wolny has overcome a lot of tragedy in her life. She has a depth of courage and perseverance that most people don't. But she feels that the last 10 years were the training ground for what will be the greatest build in her network marketing career. Listen to this episode of My Extra Mile with David T.S. Wood as they discuss her journey through life and network marketing. You will want to hear this episode if you are interested in... Why Lisa got into network marketing What she learned before she was “all in” How to prepare to pivot and adjust Lisa's secret weapon: The WGAS Factor How Lisa navigated her business's sudden decline Why Lisa started teaching trainings on “How to Save Money” How her business carried her family forward How Lisa became a network marketer Lisa hit rock bottom. After recovering from a stroke and trying to handle four children, Lisa was desperate for a solution for her health. Lisa was being heavily recruited to become a network marketer, but it wasn't until she hit rock-bottom that she was ready to give it a shot. She needed flexibility and income, so why not? She understood the numbers quickly and thought “Who wouldn't want to do this?” David believes in the right vehicle at the right time with the right you. You have to be ready for it. The product experience that she had is what changed her mind. She wanted to be a better version of herself. When she saw the numbers and paired it with her experience, she felt she had a responsibility to impact thousands of lives. She wanted to share the message with the world. So, she went all-in on network marketing. Network marketing is about pouring into other people Lisa's first year was all about herself. It was about getting her transformation down. But during that process, she enrolled a ton of people. She was all in—but not all-in to pouring into other people. She made $27,000 from home her first year while becoming the best version of herself physically. Then she went to an event and started questioning, “How does this really work?” She figured out what she needed to do. It had to stop being about her and become about other people. The next year she made $133,000. The next year her father-in-law passed away. Her mother-in-law has dementia, so they took her in. It was a huge transition. It was the first time she had to rely on residual income. It's usually during a crisis that you realize the impact of that residual income. When she was out of commission caring for her mother-in-law, her income didn't drop. The two years of hard work she put in kept her afloat. Her team was working, her customers were ordering, and the work she put in was her saving grace. She spent 5 years building her business from there. In 6 years, she hit the $1 million mark. She drew inspiration from other leaders that went before her. She modeled after those who had success. She never doubted that she'd find success. Her first check was $7. But she told people she was going to be a millionaire in her company. Her neighbor told her “I have no doubt that you will.” As long as you believe it, it's game on. Life is full of roadblocks—so you change course Lisa has had more than her share of adversity to overcome. In 2017, her daughter became very ill and was hospitalized. Her parents were ill. Her husband was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. Her youngest son got severely sick. But her income was still coming in. While it could be easy to wish that 2017 never happened, it opened up so many beautiful things. Her husband educates other men on prostate cancer awareness. Her daughter is bipolar and has shared her story to help other people. She's an advocate for the LGBTQ community. They've spent 4 years pouring into people that are struggling. Which, in turn, helped them get through everything that's happened. Lisa continues to face challenges, but her level of belief and her faith pushes her through. In this episode, Lisa talks about how she's navigating the ebbs and flow of business. She talks about how to go deep and ask yourself powerful questions. She even delves into saving money and what she's looking forward to in her future. Do not miss this one! Connect with Lisa Wolny Lisa's website Lisa's book: The Identity Shift Connect with David T. Adding passive income streams to your business is a great way to stop trading time for money. But how do you create leveraged income? When Lisa Johnson was tired of working hours and hours without seeing the results she wanted, she discovered passive income streams and has now become an expert in creating leveraged income. It all started when Lisa got pregnant with twins. She quit her corporate job and became a PA in order to have more time with her family. However, she quickly got bored and was earning a lot less than before. Lisa decided to take a leap and started a wedding planner business. This was six years ago, and Lisa didn't know anything about running her own business. She hired a business coach, learned everything there was to know and within 5 months, she completely turned her business around to be the most well known UK urban wedding planner company. People started asking how she had done it and Lisa realised that business coaching might be just the thing for her. Three years ago, she started a business coaching company and it took off quickly, but she still wasn't very happy. She had traded in a 9-5 job to work from 6 o'clock in the morning to 11 o'clock at night. That's when she realised she needed a completely different business model, and discovered passive income streams. Now, she's earning over $1M a year from passive income. Lisa joins me today to reveal the myth about passive income and talk about the system she developed to create leveraged income. She also shares how she incorporates her membership in her business and what other income streams her business has. If you ever wondered how to create leveraged income for your business, this episode is a must-listen. “If you're doing passive income, you need to ensure that you are remarketing over and over again. It's about having happy clients, not just having clients who are there once and then disappear.” - Lisa Johnson In This Episode of The Sigrun Show: Why Lisa started her own business and how she became a business coach How Lisa discovered passive income streams How to build passive income using Lisa's CASSH system Why a passive income stream can't be totally passive Why Lisa is a fan of product launching and semi-passive business models Lisa's membership Lisa's other income streams What's next for Lisa Do you want to learn more about creating different revenue streams? Find out how to diversify your income or discover revenue streams for lifestyle entrepreneurs. Creating Leveraged Income with Lisa's CASSH system There are a lot of different kinds of passive income streams and for each one of them, Lisa found that she needed to do the same thing in the same order to set it up successfully. That's how she developed her own system called CASSH to help her clients create leveraged income themselves. Here's how it works: C - Client Know who you want to serve - even before you think of having a membership or creating a course. Who do you want to help with your offer? This is the very first thing you need to know. A - Audience Once you know who you want to serve, start building an audience of exactly these people. Use any way that helps growing an audience - whether it's a sales funnel, speaking engagements or Facebook ads. Once your audience starts to grow, you need to nurture it with regular content. S - Structures and Systems Now think about how you are going to deliver the membership, online course or product that will create your passive income stream. What platform are you going to use and what programs do you need? S - Selling The selling part is all about launching properly. Lisa says that her launches take up to 12 weeks. During the launch phase, there need to be challenges, bootcamps, masterclasses - in short, everything that will get people's eyes on you. H - Happy If you're going for passive or semi-passive income, you need to market your offer over and over again and make sure that you retain the people who have already signed up. The best and simplest way to do that is by actually getting them the results you promised. It's about having happy clients, not just having clients who are there once and then disappear. Are you thinking of setting up passive income streams? I would love to hear about your ideas, experiences and strategies. You can follow and connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We can try so hard to simplify our lives, but it never seems to last. Why do we make things so complicated? Today, I'm with one of my best friends and co-founder of Called Creatives, Lisa Whittle! We are celebrating the release of her new book Jesus Over Everything and how this really is so much more than just a book. It's so much bigger than cleaning out a closet or streamlining your schedule. Lisa shares how letting go of our coping mechanisms and surrendering to the seemingly upside-down way of Jesus can bring us the peace we long for--and free us up in a big way. She shares what putting Jesus Over Everything looks like practically and what she learned personally from tackling this bold message. We also chat about: -The deadly "overs" and how they are stealing our abundant life. -Why Lisa is known for giving away outerwear. -The tale of two coats--one awesome, one not so much. Favorite quotes: 1. When we obey, whatever it looks like, whatever weirdness it is, or sounds like to us, something changes inside of us. 2. Jesus over everything is the beauty of Colossians one and Ephesians one. That he is covering us, but he has us. Also if we want our lives to be less complicated, the way that it works is the way that it was set up to work in the beginning of time. 3. Scripture is for our benefit and I think that's what we forget sometimes. We think it's a list of to do‘s. It is for us and so there's a reason why steadiness is the way to go over hype because it is the way our life stays much more simple and certainly more calm. In this episode I answer these questions: 1. How do you know the difference between fear and God telling you no and not yet? (48:16) 2. I'm in the first stages of building my platform, what do I need to focus on most? (54:18) 3. Do you have a mentor and how do you recommend finding one? Her passion for diversity and inclusion work is fueled by her strong conviction that leveraging differences creates a better workplace and drives better business results. She has conducted mentoring training programs for corporate, government and educational institutions. Lisa coaches mentors, mentees and program administrators on how to achieve mentoring excellence and create the right environment for achievement of career and personal goals. She is highly regarded for her special combination of knowledge, expertise, humor and a no-nonsense practical approach. As Senior Director of the Diversity and Inclusion function at Outerwall, Inc. Prior to that position, she worked as Outerwall’s in-house counsel, where she coached leaders and partnered with Human Resources to establish fair and effective policies and practices that would sustain the organization as it grew in size, revenue and renown. What you’ll learn about in this episode: Lisa shares how she found her passion for diversity and inclusion work when she brought her mother Lois to her workplace to help set up a women’s mentoring program Why mentoring programs can help build meaningful business relationships across differences and help empower people to thrive in their careers Why Lisa feels that diversity and inclusion training by itself doesn’t work, and why it needs other programs to support it Why successful diversity and inclusion initiatives create a fundamental cultural change throughout all levels of an organization Why a mentorship needs to be a two-way relationship between the mentor and the mentee, and why the mentorship needs ground rules and clear communication Why it is important to measure the success and progress of a mentorship through mutually established and agreed-upon goals Why leadership skills don’t necessarily imply mentoring skills, and why developing your mentoring ability is an important ongoing process Why listening is a cornerstone skill that an effective mentor needs to have, and why leaders may struggle to listen effectively Lisa shares an experience she had with a well-meaning senior partner while working at a law firm after returning from maternity leave Lisa shares an important takeaway from her book, Bridging Differences for Better Mentoring How to contact Lisa Fain: Website: www.centerformentoring.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/CenterForMentoringExcellence Twitter: @C4Mentoring @lzfain LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lisazfain/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/center-for-mentoring-excellence/

“Do I REALLY need to use a Client Agreement? Can’t I just pull a few paragraphs together and use the same document for every kind of client I have?” I get asked these questions often because many entrepreneurs or coaches feel uncomfortable using different written Client Agreements with different types of clients. Yet, by not doing it, they put their income and program content on the line. In this episode, you’ll learn about 3 types of clients and why you want to use a different type of Client Agreement when working with each of them to protect your income, your program content and your brand. In this episode, Lisa shares: 3 reasons to feel good about using Client Agreements Which kind of Client Agreement to use with 3 different types of clients - including why they differ and how each one protects you Use a Client Agreement with programs and services for your one-on-one clients Use a Client Agreement for Small Groups & Masterminds specifically designed for your Masterminds or small group programs Use a Client Agreement for a Combo Program when offering a program which includes group coursework AND 1-on-1 coaching Why Lisa aligns Client Agreements with the sacral chakra Resources:Easy Legal Steps - download the first book chapter free! Textile designer Lisa Fine joins the show this week to talk about how she got into textile design, the path that unfolded after a trip to India, and the top things we should know when working with textiles. Lisa also shares the inspiration behind her new book, Near & Far, and wisdom she has inherited from starting and running her own business. This episode will also support that there is beauty in imperfection, and if you love something you can find a place for it in your home. What You’ll Hear on This Episode: How Lisa got into textile design, and why she feels it is such a crucial piece to having a home that is both stylish and comfortable. The travels to India that got Lisa even more passionate about textiles, and also what she loves so much about Persian textiles. A few twists and turns that occurred while Lisa was growing her own business, and how she took them as learning lessons to get even better. Why Lisa loves a hand-printed linen so much, and how it creates a natural yet custom made look. Beauty is in imperfection, so embrace the flaws and know it’s okay to not have things perfectly perfect! Lisa works in homes that range from grand and opulent to refined and simple. Hear how she makes things work for each particular space. Lisa believes if you love something, you can find a place for it in your home. Why we are here for the trend of using one particular pattern to the point where it becomes a neutral. Slipcovers can be a great way to give your couch shape and a streamlined look, but there are certain things you need to know when using them. Mentioned In This Episode: Lisa Fine Textiles Near & Far @lisafinetextiles Richard Keith Langham Wine Away The Frame TV Decorating Dilemma First, Lisa loves that you want a lot of seating areas, and this space is great for entertaining already! It also seems like putting the dining room near the kitchen would work well, and we either vote for a round table to welcome a break from the square, or put the dining room table in front of the fireplace where the sofa is. Maybe the length of the sofa goes perpendicular to the fireplace, and put the two chairs across from it. A slip to cover the chairs would be a great way to match the sofa and have a theme carry across the room. We would love to sit in front of the fireplace too, so feel free to get creative with your seating in front of it! _________________________________________ We think it’s brilliant the way you have used tape to outline where everything will go, so good use of understanding proportion already! We are okay with the TV in front of the fireplace, and just suggest bringing in more round shapes in your bookshelf accessories to add some softness to the room.
If you’re like a lot of my clients, you doubt yourself all the time. In this episode, Lisa shares: What the “fraud factor” is and why we all have sleep-depriving fears and worries What happens when you begin to show up confidently and professionally in your work Why Lisa believes the solar plexus chakra aligns with being confident and empowered 6 Simple Techniques to Feel More Confident Right Now Technique 1: Stop Beating Yourself Up Technique 2: Remember Who You Are Technique 3: Celebrate Your Wins Technique 4: Resource Your Feelings by Borrowing Them from the Past Technique 5: Fake It ’Til You Make It Technique 6: Practice Taking Small Steps Right Out of Your Comfort Zone Why it’s important to remember that “there’s no such thing as failure in business, only feedback” Resources:Easy Legal Steps - download the first book chapter free! Interior Designer Lisa Furey joins the show to talk about keeping neutrals chic yet interesting, her award-winning luxury boutique firm, Lisa Furey Interiors in Philadelphia, and how she fell in love with her Palmetto Bluff vacation home. Lisa shares how she went from a career as a divorce lawyer, her passion for the “bricks and sticks” aspect of design and building, and her approach to creating beautiful and practical homes that are just as livable as they are beautiful. What You’ll Hear on This Episode: Trials and Triumphs featuring misbehaving bats, ruthless bin cleaning, leaf blowers, and delegating out Christmas light tasks. Tips on ribbons and accessories that are both kid-proof and beautiful for the holidays. Real talk on where everyone stands on ornaments as Christmas gifts. How Lisa’s core business is Lisa Furey Interiors in Philadelphia on the mainline, but she also does work in Georgia and South Carolina. More about Lisa’s projects including the Beach Cottage in South Carolina, the main house in Palmetto Bluff, and her own personal home featuring an upside-down design of the living room upstairs with floating stairs. How Lisa fell in love so much with Palmetto Bluff that she came home and purchased a loft for her personal use. More about the original cottage that people loved so much that it led her to a carriage house, and then a main house. Fun fact: Lisa was a divorce lawyer before a designer and actually attended two colleges at once. Lisa describes her style as minimal with an emphasis and natural and simple. She enjoys using clean lines and nice materials that create a relaxed and welcoming feel. Why Lisa loves using woven pieces to give spaces an organic look. A glimpse into the process from when Lisa decides to work with a client to working with them on a large renovation, remodel, or building from the ground up. Some risks Lisa has taken recently in her own home and work, including some fun blue cabinets and an upside down home. What similarities and differences Lisa sees between working in Philadelphia and the South. While we do love some photos of your cute pets, we are all for editing and trimming out the unnecessary parts within a room. Tips for matching appliances, and how to use different shades of the same color with it still looking clean and cohesive. Mentioned In This Episode: Ballard Designs Ornaments Lisa Furey @lisafureyinteriors Beautiful Kitchen and Baths Palmetto Bluff Marie Kondo Sunset Villanova Harcum College GE Cafe Hartwell Sofa Decorating Dilemma Congrats on your place! Lisa would cover up the gray tile with as much rug as she could using natural fiber rugs. She recommends two, maybe an indoor / outdoor version to kid proof them, and if you are looking for more color you can put a prettier rug on top. A pendant light would bring the ceiling down, and make it feel a bit more comfortable and welcoming. If you do the bar stools, one option would be to get the saddle ones without backs, so that you can tuck the stools under the table for easy storage. Instead of a mirror above the fireplace, Lisa suggests a wreath or tobacco baskets with two candle sconces on either side. She would also have the layout of the space be: kitchen on one side, fireplace in the middle, and built in on the other side to elevate and bring in a sense of balance.

Clients have told me that they’re reticent to use legal documents because they don’t want to create or attract “negative energy.” They fear that if they put Website Terms & Conditions in place or use a Client Agreement that they’re acting from a place of fear and drawing unsavory situations towards them. In this episode, we walk through 5 reasons why using legal documents might feel non-spiritual, and talk about how you can use legal documents and still be deeply spiritual. In this episode, Lisa shares: 5 Reasons Why using Legal Documents might feel non-spiritual. Reason #1: You’re sending a signal that might attract negative attention. #23: Lisa Kohn is a writer and author who was born in New Jersey, and grew up in the East Village of New York. She now lives in Pennsylvania with her husband of nearly twenty years and her two beautiful children. Lisa's recent book, “To The Moon And Back: A Childhood Under the Influence” is a memoir of being raised in and torn between two conflicting worlds. There was the world she longed for and lived in on weekends – her mother's world, which was the fanatical, puritanical cult of the Moonies – and the world she was forced to live in during the week – her father's world, which was based in sex, drugs, and the squalor of life in New York City's East Village in the 1970's.She now owns a leadership consulting and executive coaching firm and spend much of her time speaking, writing, teaching, and presenting her ideas and approaches to life and to business. In the second part of my conversation with Lisa Bonnet, Senior Interior Designer at the prestigious e4h - Environments for Health Architecture, Lisa discusses the advancements in surface products in the hospital space that have contributed to the reduction of Hospital-Acquired Infections. In older hospitals, countertops around sinks have traditionally been unhygienic areas where bacteria and other icky stuff tend to hang out. As Lisa shares, research has shown that with the introduction of revolutionary products like seamless, solid surface and antibacterial countertops that can be shaped and curved to meet the aesthetic and code requirements of the hospital and the design team, HAI’s have been significantly reduced. Lisa wrote an article about this subject in Medical Construction and Design Magazine entitled, How Sterile is Too Sterile? She unpacks that article more here in part 2 of the episode. And to the American Association of Healthcare Interior Designers, thank you for your support of this program. Enhance your professional credibility by earning the Certified Healthcare Interior Design credential. Visit http://aahid.org for more info. In this episode you will learn: Some of the biggest successes are some of the smallest details on a project. How e4h studies ALL the nuances of a project, for example, where the patient’s empty suitcase is placed in the hospital room, so it is out of the staff’s way. In the 90’s, the industry started using products that had soft, organic textures and wood look products to provide more of a hospitality or residential aesthetic. That is still common today as a result of patient input and competition among hospitals that desire this aesthetic. How seamless, solid surface and antibacterial countertops that can be shaped and curved to meet the aesthetic and code requirements of the hospital and the design team have significantly helped reduce Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI’s). The evolution of hospitals embracing the patient-centered design is the direct result of input from many stakeholders including patients, infection prevention specialists, the environmental services team Why Lisa’s current favorite project is a long term acute rehab facility which includes the design of a new breakfast area near a nurse’s station, and how this solves a very big problem for staff and patients. What a critical success factor looks like in e4h projects. How evidence-based design has been proven to improve the health of patients and staff, and how this is a fundamental passion of the team at e4h. What it’s like to work at a global architecture firm committed exclusively to the design of innovative health facilities. How technology continues to play a bigger role in healthcare design.
