Ryan Preece needed to win at Daytona to make the Chase and he did exactly that. When calamity unfolded in overtime, Ryan took the lead and held on until the caution finally fell, capturing his first NASCAR Cup victory and besting Shane Van Gisbergen for the final Chase spot all at the same time. Our resident NASCAR reporters Jeff Gluck and Jordan Bianchi were both on the case in Daytona, and they took to the airwaves after the race to recap the action, chat about dunk tanks and take a closer look at the final Chase standings. Happy Friday! Let's not waste any time here — we've got Dale talking Rookies, Jeff Gordon chatting with Kelley Earnhardt Miller about her dad, and Larson listening to a fan-submitted song. We open the show with Dale discussing Corey Heim's eligibility for the Rookie Of The Year being, quite frankly, non-existent. Dale has an idea on how to revamp the process of awarding each year's driver. Next, Kelley Earnhardt Miller hosted Jeff Gordon for Business of Motorsports, and he discussed the advice Dale Earnhardt gave him, his lifetime contract with Hendrick, and bringing in Jimmie Johnson. The usual comic relief comes in Door Bumper Clear, who FINALLY had Kyle Larson join, along with his spotter, Tyler Monn. We couldn't pick just one moment, so we have two: Kyle on talking smack with his daughter about racing and a call from a fan who wrote Larson a song. And lastly, Dale had the weekend with the girls and went to Kannapolis, where the conversation turned to his dad's statue and where the girls might be in understanding who he was. That's all for this week! We will see you next time on the Dirty Thirty. Check out Dirty Mo Media on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DirtyMoMedia Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Amy and the gang are back for another round of Bless Your ‘Hardt! This week, the crew recaps a wild girls' trip to Key West, including the hilarious differences between traveling with the girls versus traveling with the guys. Amy explains why girls trips are so much more organized, how everyone had their own job, and why sometimes the best vacation plan is doing absolutely nothing. Then, things get heated over self-checkout. Why are employees hovering over you while you scan your own groceries? Is self-checkout supposed to be an honor system? Dale reminds everyone that it's called SELF-checkout and he doesn't need anyone else. Plus, Dale talks about how he spent his time with the girls while Amy was gone, including a trip to downtown Kannapolis, and talks about the Dale statue. They also dive into some questionable “Would You Rather” scenarios involving cold pizza, melted ice cream, clogged toilets, sleeping on the floor, and more. From Key West chaos to self-checkout surveillance, don't miss this one. Check out Dirty Mo Media on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DirtyMoMedia Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Hotmail's Legacy And Moon Vs Rafe

    The Rizzuto Show

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 27, 2026 41:50

Before social media algorithms knew everything about you, the internet was a simpler place. A lawless, dial-up wasteland where your email address was probably something like BongRipper69@hotmail.com and one accidental click on Rotten.com could permanently alter the trajectory of your childhood. So naturally, The Rizzuto Show is going back. This episode starts with more nostalgia for the early internet and one of its most infamous destinations: Rotten.com. Back then, you couldn't just stumble across every horrifying thing imaginable while casually scrolling your phone. No, sir. You had to work for your trauma. You had to hear about Rotten.com from somebody, type it into the family computer, click something you absolutely shouldn't have clicked, and then wait patiently while your dial-up connection loaded your lifelong regret one horrifying line at a time. Was Rotten.com disgusting? Absolutely.Does the crew still seem weirdly sad that it's gone? Also absolutely. Then we move from internet trauma to another relic of the '90s and early 2000s: Hotmail.A poll says 18% of people are apparently still rocking a Hotmail address, which leads to an important discovery: Hotmail never completely disappeared. Microsoft eventually transitioned the service into Outlook, meaning technically some of us may still be living inside the Hotmail universe. We're all dorks. Fantastic. The crew remembers the era when nobody used their actual name for an email address. Instead, we created identities that looked like rejected Xbox gamertags: random nicknames, 420s, 69s and enough questionable innuendo to make applying for a respectable adult job years later slightly complicated. And then there are the complaint emails.Apparently nothing tells the show exactly what demographic they're dealing with faster than receiving an angry message from an account created during the Clinton administration.Welcome to daily comedy, where your email provider is now apparently enough information for us to profile you.But nostalgia eventually gives way to competition as Match Up With Moon returns with Rafe versus Moon, and that's when everybody's remaining intelligence begins leaking out of the studio.Round one starts innocently enough. What's Beantown?Boston. Easy.Which amendment gave women the right to vote? The 19th. Look at us go.Who was Wendell the cereal mascot?Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Somehow we still know this information despite forgetting why we walked into rooms. Then comes the question that starts breaking brains:What does the “com” in .com actually stand for?Rafe goes with “communication.” King Scott thinks “company.” Moon correctly lands on commercial, because apparently after decades of typing web addresses, one person in the room finally bothered to understand what any of it means. The trivia chaos continues with questions about Heineken, the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals and one of the most important cereal discoveries of our time: Cap'n Crunch apparently has an actual name.Horatio Crunch.Good for Horatio. Glad somebody finally gave the Captain the respect he deserves.Round two somehow gets worse.Which country contains more than half of the world's natural lakes? What's the only internal human organ capable of regenerating itself? Who originally hosted America's Got Talent? Which fast-food chain helped introduce Tater Tots? And then Rizz makes Moon and Rafe physically write down how many zeros are in a quadrillion.Moon arrives at 15.Rafe ALSO WRITES DOWN 15 ZEROS……and then says 16 out loud. That is the kind of unforced error this daily comedy show was built upon.Nothing quite compares to successfully solving a problem and then personally changing your own correct answer into the wrong one.The crew wraps things up by guessing attendance at the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series race at Worldwide Technology Raceway. Moon guesses 39,000. Rafe throws out 80,000. The actual answer lands between them at 57,000, giving everyone one final opportunity to demonstrate that estimating crowd sizes is basically just guessing jelly beans in a jar for adults. So today's episode has everything you could possibly need: Rotten.com nostalgia, Hotmail archaeology, terrible email addresses, Cinnamon Toast Crunch lore, Tater Tot history, St. Louis Cardinals trivia, NASCAR math and grown men discovering what “dot com” means approximately three decades after the internet became popular. We used to think the early internet was making us smarter.Turns out we were mostly waiting 12 minutes for a picture to load.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

This week, we are officially "Tint Boys" broadcasting straight from a transformed warehouse in Glendale, California, for the global Tinter Battles window tinting championships. We immerse ourselves into the intense, WWE-style subculture of competitive window tinting, complete with pre-competition online trash-talking, NASCAR-style matching team jerseys, and heavyweight champion belts. We hit the competition floor to interview Cody from Tex Window Tinting about his mid-competition broken squeegee, lending his toolbelt to a friend whose luggage was lost, and his high-tech "Tint Buster" backpack. We also catch up with Carlos, the CEO of Tinter Battles, who explains how he combined his musical performance background with his tinting career to give these hardworking professionals the rockstar platform they deserve. After watching the intense flat glass and Paint Protective Film (PPF) heats, we officially give ourselves tinting nicknames: "Squeege.E" and "Mikey No Bubbles," and definitively declare that window tinting is a sport that belongs on ESPN. Taking a break from the competition, we did some LA exploring, starting with a trip to Ace Hardware for the last pack of Pokémon cards before finally experiencing the famous grocery store, Erewhon. Despite expecting $20 grapes, we were surprised to find the produce prices pretty normal—though the $165 branded hoodies and $100 lotions definitely lived up to the hype. After consulting with the in-store sommelier for some wine, we proudly embraced our new status as "Erewhon girlies". Later, we retreated to the hotel to order some Panda Express and had a gaming session where Mike quickly grasped the mechanics of Fortnite, even while Erin got targeted and eliminated twice in a single round. To round out our West Coast trip, we engaged in some "business business" by visiting the studio of the GroupChat podcast. We recap the incredibly pristine bathrooms and share what it was like to sit in and watch the two brothers record their tech and finance show. While Erin felt a little out of her depth listening to the highly educated business banter, we loved getting a behind-the-scenes look at how another successful podcast operates.

Recorded: August 4th 2026 | Welcome back ot another episode of Racin’ With The Boys. This week we are joined by the owner of trackhouse Racing Justin Marks, and his driver Ross Chastain. The guys start off the episode with the beginning of Justin and Ross’s relationship and how Ross basically took Justin’s job in the truck series. Ross then gets into the crazy story of his main sponsors when he was coming up through the ranks ended up getting raided by the FBI in a billion dollar Ponzi scheme. Then the guys get into how Justin started Trackhouse Racing and his vision in trying to approach creating a racing team in a different way. Rather than being a side business, he wanted to make it into something where people can root for a whole team rather than just specific drivers. Justin gets into how he knew he wanted Ross to be one of his drivers and Ross talks about whether or not he thought about possibly joining a different team. Ross then gets into what has been coined as the “Hail Melon”, the viral moment of him wall riding to get into the Championship 4 at Martinsville. He gets into what his mindset was when he made the crazy decision, something that if you haven’t seen, you need to pause this and go check it out. Finally the guys end the show talking about what real “speed” in in NASCAR and how to find those tenths of a second in their cars. Also the struggle that goes into finding that speed and what all goes into that process. Will and Taylor then ask what is would cost for the boys to sponsor one of the Trackhouse cars for a race, there may be a race where you see a “The Boys” sticker on a car.        It feels like President Trump is not interested in any more military actions against Iran and has pivoted to economic pressure that he's calling an Economic D-Day.  And it seems it's dragging half the world in with it.  Scary stuff indeed.    The GOP will have a Midterm Convention September 9th and 10th in Dallas.  Who picked these dates?  It's opening night and night two for the NFL so you can scratch 40 million people out that won't be watching.    The PGA Tour playoffs are in St. Louis this week and the Pro-Am portion was Wednesday.  Senator Eric Schmitt teed it up with world #1 player Scottie Scheffler.    We open up the mailbag as many of you share your stories of dumping all your NIKE gear with me years ago.    In sports, an analytics pro says Patrick Mahomes sack rate will determine the fate of his comeback and it has very little to do with offensive line play.  I've got the numbers.... and I agree.    A KU grad that reports on the Big 12 has a dire prediction for the Jayhawks this football season.  The Royals are on a heater with a wildly dramatic comeback win over the A's and NASCAR announces it's pair of race weekends at Kansas Speedway next year.

Farm4Profit heads to Iowa Speedway for the Iowa Corn 350 powered by Ethanol with Craig Floss, CEO of Iowa Corn, and Eric Petersen, President of Iowa Speedway, to talk NASCAR, ethanol, corn demand, and what's ahead for racing in Iowa. The conversation dives into why Iowa Corn continues to invest in NASCAR as a way to promote ethanol beyond the farm audience. NASCAR has raced on E15 since 2011, providing a high-performance example of ethanol in action while helping Iowa Corn reach consumers and build demand for one of Iowa farmers' biggest products. Craig shares the bigger picture for ethanol, including growing exports to countries around the world, opportunities in Southeast Asia, and the continued push for greater access to E15 and eventually higher ethanol blends. The group also discusses Iowa Corn's work around high-ethanol farm equipment and why creating additional ethanol demand could have a meaningful impact on corn markets and farm profitability. Eric gives listeners a look behind the scenes at Iowa Speedway, including three consecutive NASCAR sellouts, plans for a complete track repave, and the exciting news that NASCAR will return to Iowa over Independence Day weekend in 2027. He explains what goes into rebuilding a racing surface and the massive amount of work required to turn a facility with only nine full-time employees into a major NASCAR venue. From international ethanol markets to 700-horsepower race cars, this episode shows how Iowa Corn is using motorsports to connect farmers with consumers, demonstrate ethanol performance, and ultimately create more demand for corn. As Craig puts it, no matter which driver takes the checkered flag, ethanol and Iowa corn farmers win every race.     Want Farm4Profit Merch? Even-Year Logano is back on the rise in the championship standings after grabbing another trophy in Richmond, while Kyle Larson somehow made it to Knoxville in time to compete in a weather-affected doubleheader that actually worked out in his favor. Everyone has an opinion on Dale Jr.'s proposal for a 10-driver Chase field, and Noah and Zane weigh in with their thoughts on who's the toughest driver in the field to pass. Plus, Reaction Theatre brings the heat, Mike Rigsby from FloRacing joins the show to talk about the Kyle Busch Invitational at Bowman Gray, and Noah and Zane look back on some of their favorite memories with Rowdy. S*** Show HOF delivers as always, before DBC wraps things up with picks and Weekend Winners. Additionally… Freddie, Tommy, and Karsyn react to some HILARIOUS submissions to our ongoing Makin' Mo Merch contest. You are not going to want to skip that. Want more DBC? Welcome back to Actions Detrimental presented by Bob's Discount Furniture. Chase Briscoe joins the show for a wide-ranging conversation about his relationship with Denny, how they first crossed paths, and the infamous Indy wreck that still gets brought up years later. He also reflects on making the move to Toyota, the learning curve that came with joining JGR, and how working with James Small has helped him continue to improve. With The Chase getting closer, Chase breaks down the new playoff format, the importance of stacking stage points, and the drivers he sees as being on the bubble. He also looks ahead to Richmond and Darlington, discusses the tight points battle, and explains why consistency could be more important than ever once the playoffs begin. Chase also shares what it is like racing alongside Denny, why Denny is so difficult to catch on a bad day, the pressure that comes with pit stops, and what goes through a driver's mind when things go wrong on pit road. There is plenty of fun mixed in, from fishing and driver group chats to getting a text from Kyle Busch.  Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
