Dr Trudi Taylor, Executive Coach and founder of IslandB joins me on this episode of The Full Circle Podcast to discuss the vital importance of being heard. Throughout Trudi's childhood and into early adulthood, she was faced with the reality that while people may have been listening to her, they weren't understanding what she was trying to communicate – they weren't HEARING her. This resulted in Trudi suppressing trauma, acting out of frustration, and being treated as “difficult” when all she needed was to be heard. Now, after delving deep into the root cause of her trauma and working to uncover the obstacles that have held her back, Trudi uses her experience to support leaders in becoming more effective through improved emotional intelligence and connection with those they lead teams to become high performing through trust, healthy conflict, and attention to results, and she helps organisations equip their people to create and sustain ambitious goals. Trudi joins me in the studio to discuss the importance of being heard and hearing the people around us, how not being heard and understood manifests later in life, and how she overcame the mental and physical effects of being misunderstood since childhood. In this episode of the Full Circle Podcast, I am joined by Megan Cooper, a Holistic Health Coach, EFT practitioner and space-holder based in Brighton, UK. In 2015, Megan made the brave decision to leave her corporate career in London and moved to Australia to teach yoga. While there, away from her family and friends, Megan was diagnosed with a hormone imbalance which prompted her to begin healing her body naturally, the success of which led her to study Holistic Health and Nutrition to help others do the same. Megan continues to deepen the way she works with clients, using EFT and Matrix Reimprinting to transform subconscious beliefs, trauma, and the way we see and experience the world: healing the past to interrupt the present and change possibility for the future. Megan joins me in studio to discuss the importance of identifying the root cause of trauma and illness, the impact of trusting your internal compass, and how you can live a fulfilling life that is true to who you are. Quotes“I felt this deadening inside myself, and it wasn't really about the job because lots of people worked in that industry and were perfectly happy. But it was just about me and it not being my authentic place in the world.” - 09:12 “I decided to treat myself holistically and naturally… I did a bit of inventory of the past decade of my life…I basically spent the last 10 years of my life drinking, smoking, taking drugs, partying, not getting much sleep, working in a job that I didn't like… I wonder what would happen if I just did all of the opposite things…” - 22:57 “I went to go and have rescans, and about 18 months later they said ‘You have completely reversed your condition' which is pretty unbelievable.” - 26:19 “I understood the success I had of doing what I was doing, but I didn't understand HOW I'd done it. So that inspired me to go and study holistic health and nutrition.” - 26:56 “I only go wrong when I ignore my own internal compass” - 31:00 “That's where the real liberation lies…as soon as we can bring things back to the root cause rather than chipping away at the edges.” - 37:25 Time stamps 00:00 - About this episode01:55 - An introduction to Megan 04:40 - Megan's journey in the corporate world 07:18 - The beginning of Megan's self-discovery 09:48 - How Megan decided to break away from her job14:12 - What is EFT19:47 - Megan's health struggles 23:40 - How Megan taught herself to treat herself naturally 24:40 - The importance of self-acceptance and positive self-talk 26:19 - The discovery that Megan had reversed her condition naturally27:49 - What inspired Megan to become a coach29:16 - How Megan handles triggers30:45 - The internal knowing32:52 - Megan's advice for changing your life40:27 - The importance of self-trust 42:19 - How to contact Megan Megan Socialshttps://www.higher-love.com/https://www.instagram.com/higherlove_withmegan/https://www.higher-love.com/podcastGillian Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/the.master.coach/https://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoach https://www.gillianmcmichael.comFull Circle Global Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/fullcircleglobal/https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/https://fullcircleglobal.comOrder my book, “Coming Home: A Guide To Being Your True Self”Amazon:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Coming-Home-Guide-Being-Your/dp/1784529702Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Coming-Home-A-Guide-to-Being-Your-True-Self-Paperback-9781784529703/928206895 Barnes & Noble: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/coming-home-gillian-mcmichael/1141304045 WHSmith: https://www.whsmith.co.uk/products/coming-home-a-guide-to-being-your-true-self/gillian-mcmichael/paperback/9781784529703.html

Craving a sense of calm and balance in your life? The answer could be right at your doorstep. Join me in this enlightening conversation with Sam Wright, a Forest Therapy and Nature Connection Guide from Natural Edge Coaching. Sam's unique approach to coaching involves taking her clients into nature, where they can connect with themselves and the environment in a profound way. In this episode, we explore the benefits of nature connectedness, the importance of taking micro-moments throughout the day to connect with nature, and the power of simply being in the present moment. Whether you're feeling lost or simply need to recharge your batteries, Sam's insights will inspire you to open the front door, get outside, and start living a more connected and fulfilling life. Quotes“I feel lots of people don't feel safe when stepping outside – but I do. There were arguments at home between my parents and I found that really difficult. Taking my dog Ben for a walk enabled me to essentially meditate in that space. No matter what was going on at home…I was just in the fields with my dog.” - 05:40 “It's a place where you are not judged. There's just the breeze, the trees, the squirrels, and the raccoons. You can speak out loud, you can walk, you can whistle, you can sing, you can scream, you can cry. That space is held for you.” – 08:36“I take executives away from their everyday offices, and I believe that we get to them, to their truth, insights, the shift, the ease, the calmness, the clarity, quicker, when we are outside.” – 30:15“Nature is restorative, I believe, and we are genetically attuned to being there, and there is theory after theory of reasons why.” – 38:30 Time stamps00:00 – Introduction to Sam02:25 – Sam's connection with nature05:20 – Sam on how connecting with nature makes her feel safe10:00 – What sparked Sam's passion for nature13:10 – Experiencing miscarriages and the loss of her dog16:30 – Healing after loss21:20 – Being consistent and persistent 23:02 – On becoming a coach 29:05 – Weaving nature into her coaching practice42:04 – Sam's greatest lessons44:40 – Advice for listeners46:20 – Connecting with Sam Sam Socialswww.naturaledgecoachinguk.co.ukhttps://www.instagram.com/naturaledgecoaching/?hl=en https://www.linkedin.com/in/sam-wright-49586027/?originalSubdomain=ukGillian Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/gillian_mcmichael/https://www.tiktok.com/@gillianmcmichael https://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/ https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoachhttps://www.youtube.com/@gillianmcmichaelhttps://www.gillianmcmichael.comFull Circle Global Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/fullcircleglobal/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/https://fullcircleglobal.comOrder my book, “Coming Home: A Guide To Being Your True Self”Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Coming-Home-Guide-Being-Your/dp/1784529702Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Coming-Home-A-Guide-to-Being-Your-True-Self-Paperback-9781784529703/928206895Barnes & Noble: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/coming-home-gillian-mcmichael/1141304045 WHSmith: https://www.whsmith.co.uk/products/coming-home-a-guide-to-being-your-true-self/gillian-mcmichael/paperback/9781784529703.html

There has been a lot of progress when it comes to gender equality, but the truth is women still face obstacles when it comes to reaching executive positions. Join me as I chat with Dionne Aiken, the Chief Marketing Officer of a major global organisation, to talk about her journey as a successful female leader. Although in 2023 only nine women are leading FTSE 100 companies, Dionne has managed to break through the glass ceiling and reach the top of her industry. In this episode, Dionne shares interesting insights on leadership, juggling family and professional life, and what it takes to successfully navigate a leading global organisation. Dionne also discusses the importance of female empowerment, how a family-first leadership style promotes inclusivity, and how you can improve your leadership skills. So, if you'd like to learn from an award-winning and inspiring female leader, don't miss this episode! Quotes “I guess in terms of my journey I wanted to empower other women… I just wanted to ensure that I'd walked the walk before I could help others.” – 02:38“Life balance, I think, right now, is about work-life integration.” – 12:13‘'I work really hard to ensure that my team feels safe being parents and that they are able to say, ‘my child is sick' and know that they'll be met with, ‘that's okay'. I think it's very important to be inclusive and create an environment where people feel safe.'' -15:25‘'If we look at the FTSE 500, there are 47 female CEOs - 2 of whom are black – and so as a percentage that's 9.4% women, and 0.04 black female CEOs. And if we move to the FTSE 100 there are 9 female CEOs and 0 black women. That's a problem. But it's so easy for us to say ‘gender parity' and ‘let's uplift each other' and say men need to join us on the journey, but oftentimes there's a conversation to be had about women supporting women.” – 20:56Time stamps 00:00 – Introduction to Dionne 02:35 – Dionne's journey to becoming CMO04:56 – How Dione's granddad encouraged her to be a leader, not a follower06:40 – What it's like to be a leader today 08:02 – Dionne's leadership journey10:17 – Determining what leadership models to use and when11:28 – Finding the balance between work life and family life 13:39 – How to be worthy of the position you earned15:25 – Dionne on the qualities that modern leaders must possess17:37 – The challenges of navigating a big global organisation24:48 – Why women need to support each other in competitive fields 25:53 – What makes a great leader 33:35 – Advice for female leaders who want to unlock their power37:45 – Things to do to be great38:43 –Dionne's biggest learning curve and wake-up call45:29 – How to connect with Dionne Dionne Socialshttps://www.linkedin.com/in/dionne-aiken-91a4996/ Gillian Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/gillian_mcmichael/https://www.tiktok.com/@gillianmcmichaelhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/ https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoachhttps://www.gillianmcmichael.comFull Circle Global Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/fullcircleglobal/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/ https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/https://fullcircleglobal.comOrder my book, “Coming Home: A Guide To Being Your True Self”Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Coming-Home-Guide-Being-Your/dp/1784529702Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Coming-Home-A-Guide-to-Being-Your-True-Self-Paperback-9781784529703/928206895Barnes & Noble: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/coming-home-gillian-mcmichael/1141304045 WHSmith: https://www.whsmith.co.uk/products/coming-home-a-guide-to-being-your-true-self/gillian-mcmichael/paperback/9781784529703.html

What is your purpose? Have you ever thought about it before? For most of my adult life, I hadn't. As I grew older a few questions would pop up again and again: Who am I? What do I want? What is my purpose? In this episode, we explore those questions, and how you can answer them for yourself. This episode focuses on how we can connect with our purpose, and why it's important to do so. I share how I discovered my purpose and I'll guide you through a short meditation to help you connect with your higher self to determine your very own purpose statement.Be prepared to answer these questions:1. Who am I?2. What do I want?3. What is my purpose? Once you have declared what your purpose is and begin to walk your path, you'll find the worry, frustration, and inner conflict that you've been experiencing will drift away.Gillian Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/the.master.coach/https://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoachhttps://www.gillianmcmichael.comFull Circle Global Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/fullcircleglobal/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/https://fullcircleglobal.com Buy “Coming Home: A Guide To Being Your True Self”Amazon:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Coming-Home-Guide-Being-Your/dp/1784529702Walmart:https://www.walmart.com/ip/Coming-Home-A-Guide-to-Being-Your-True-Self-Paperback-9781784529703/928206895 Barnes & Noble:https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/coming-home-gillian-mcmichael/1141304045 WHSmith:https://www.whsmith.co.uk/products/coming-home-a-guide-to-being-your-true-self/gillian-mcmichael/paperback/9781784529703.html
If you've made it through the previous 4 episodes with me, then I think you are ready for this next step in your journey home to your true self. This episode is all about radical self-care, healing, and the four cornerstones of wellness: the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. That's because honouring your body, mind, and soul is the secret to taking care of the whole of you. If you can master the four cornerstones of wellness you can move from a place of ‘doing' to a place of ‘being'. In this episode, we explore the four cornerstones of wellness, the importance of implementing a wellness strategy and the universal law of giving and receiving. I also share how I developed my own routine in line with each of the four cornerstones of wellness and invite you to reflect on what you need to do or change to have greater balance, a joyful energetic body, a compassionate, loving heart, and a lightness of being.Gillian Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/the.master.coach/https://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoachhttps://www.gillianmcmichael.comFull Circle Global Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/fullcircleglobal/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/https://fullcircleglobal.com Buy “Coming Home: A Guide To Being Your True Self”Amazon:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Coming-Home-Guide-Being-Your/dp/1784529702Walmart:https://www.walmart.com/ip/Coming-Home-A-Guide-to-Being-Your-True-Self-Paperback-9781784529703/928206895 Barnes & Noble:https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/coming-home-gillian-mcmichael/1141304045 WHSmith:https://www.whsmith.co.uk/products/coming-home-a-guide-to-being-your-true-self/gillian-mcmichael/paperback/9781784529703.html
In the last three episodes, I've asked you to look within. In this episode I'll help you connect with your passions by encouraging you to look outwards. This is an important part of finding your purpose as it helps you understand what brings you joy, satisfaction and fulfillment. As we move through step 4, I ask you: “what would you do if you could do anything?” This is a very powerful question and if you were to ask yourself this question it will give you a very clear indication or idea of what brings you the most joy in your life, what gives your life meaning. To answer this question, iI encourage you to consider these questions: What makes you feel good? What makes you laugh? What excites you? What would you regret not trying? What would you like to do if you could do anything? Now that there is space in your backpack, it's time to fill it up with the things that bring a smile to your face. Once you a reminded of what brings you joy, you can move onto step 5. To come home to your true self you must be willing to release the past and ditch old habits and old patterns of living. To do that, we must “let go to let come.” It's not simple to do this. For true transformation to take place, you need to lose your cynicism and open your mind, and open your heart. In this episode, I help you achieve the openness which is critical for this next step be successful. I also invite you to imagine the emotional backpack you've been carrying, and share tips for choosing what is important to keep inside of it, and what can be thrown away. I end the episode by reading a personal letter I wrote to my past self, and guide you on taking part in this cathartic experience yourself.Gillian Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/the.master.coach/https://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoachhttps://www.gillianmcmichael.comFull Circle Global Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/fullcircleglobal/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/https://fullcircleglobal.com Buy “Coming Home: A Guide To Being Your True Self”Amazon:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Coming-Home-Guide-Being-Your/dp/1784529702Walmart:https://www.walmart.com/ip/Coming-Home-A-Guide-to-Being-Your-True-Self-Paperback-9781784529703/928206895 Barnes & Noble:https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/coming-home-gillian-mcmichael/1141304045 WHSmith:https://www.whsmith.co.uk/products/coming-home-a-guide-to-being-your-true-self/gillian-mcmichael/paperback/9781784529703.html
This is the final episode of our 7-part, self-discovery series. Each week, we've taken a journey inward, going as far into our consciousness as possible, and looking at all the obstacles that stand between us and our true selves. In this episode, we reflect upon our journey over the past six episodes, review the lessons and insights and look at what's next for you and your future. The purpose of reflecting is not to gain a sense of arrogance about how far you've come, but to simply acknowledge that we're always evolving—and there's no better reminder than thinking about where you were at the beginning of this series. If you'd like to continue your personal journey to reconnect, rediscover and reaffirm who you are, I invite you to explore one of my personal development retreats happening in Majorca, Spain in May and June 2023. There are more details at www.fullcircle.com.Until then, stay well and invite joy and curiosity into your life. When we experience inner conflict, it's important to understand what the root cause of that conflict is. In my professional experience, the biggest roadblocks to being our true selves are people-pleasing and the need to fit in – but it's important to understand exactly what is preventing YOU from being your most authentic self, as the answer is unique to each person. In this episode, we touch on the three conditions of being your true self: understanding your truth, speaking your truth and living your truth. There are four questions that I urge you to answer out loud to understand and speak your truth: 1. Being true to myself will mean ________2. If I am true to myself, I could ________3. If I were true to myself, I would let go of ________4. How would being true to myself change my life? In order to LIVE your truth you need to come back to these questions, read the answers out loud every day, and make sure your actions are aligned to them. Once you have completed this step, you can move onto step 3. Part of what I do in my work as a Master Coach and Transformational Wellness expert is discuss identity, and how important it is for individuals to explore who they are. One of the most common questions I get is "How can I feel like me again?" and it's a tough question to answer. In this episode, I propose another question – which, when answered honestly - will serve as the foundation for finding your way back to your authentic self. Tune in and let me guide you to finding the TRUE answer. Once you have the answer, then you can move onto step 2. Hello and welcome back to season five of the Full Circle podcast! This season is different from the previous four, as I am flying solo for the first time! You won't be hearing conversations with guests this season; instead, you'll be taken on a guided journey back home to your true, authentic self. This 7-part series is inspired by my favourite lessons from my book, “Coming Home: A Guide To Being Your True Self.” In each episode, you will be given practical tips that will help you live a life that is true to yourself. As you listen to each episode, I encourage you to have real, honest and purposeful conversations with yourself. This journey requires commitment and determination, so I invite you to connect with me on Instagram (@the.master.coach) or on LinkedIn and share feedback on your personal journey - I would be delighted to hear from you. My hope for this season is that you walk away knowing that anything is possible when you connect with the whole of you: mind, body and spirit.Gillian Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/the.master.coach/https://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoachhttps://www.gillianmcmichael.comFull Circle Global Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/fullcircleglobal/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/https://fullcircleglobal.com Buy “Coming Home: A Guide To Being Your True Self”Amazon:https://www.amazon.co.uk/Coming-Home-Guide-Being-Your/dp/1784529702Walmart:https://www.walmart.com/ip/Coming-Home-A-Guide-to-Being-Your-True-Self-Paperback-9781784529703/928206895 Barnes & Noble:https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/coming-home-gillian-mcmichael/1141304045 WHSmith:https://www.whsmith.co.uk/products/coming-home-a-guide-to-being-your-true-self/gillian-mcmichael/paperback/9781784529703.html

For some people, coming out as LGBTQ is easy – they're comfortable with their identity and sexuality, and may have a supportive network. And sometimes it's downright messy – they're older, married with kids, or simply unable to accept their truth. Whatever the case may be - coming out can be difficult, confusing and painful. My next guest is Melisa Raney - a mother and advocate for coming out. At 36, Melisa slowly began to question her sexuality. The problem was, she was in a heterosexual marriage, raising their two young children. Today, she is making, what she calls, her ‘mess' her message: sharing her experience to guide others through the difficult process of coming out later in life.It is no easy feat, but as Melisa teaches us: when you live your life authentically, you begin to live your life unapologetically. Quotes “I was following what was expected of me: go to school, go to college, meet the boy and get married…” [3:50] “I had misread my own sexuality.” [4:20] “It made me feel so validated; what I was feeling was real” [10:00] “I was trying to fit in this box that society had created for me…” [11:22] “I was happy in my marriage but I wasn't fulfilled.” [24:30] Notes • Melisa's background [2:40]• Melisa's experience of coming out [5:20]• How Melisa's family took her news [7:40]• How Melisa handled her new life and her children [13:20]• Melisa's work [18:56]• Why people don't own their sexuality [23:30]• How Melisa has changed [25:25]• Lessons learned [28:12]• Closing thoughts [31:40] Gillian Socialshttps://fullcircleglobal.comhttps://www.instagram.com/the.master.coach/ https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoachhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/Melisa Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/lesbianchronicles/?hl=enhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/lesbian-chronicles-coming-out-later-in-life/id1468550568https://www.melisaraney.comhttps://www.instagram.com/melisawrites/?hl=en

What happens when the life you imagined for yourself is suddenly out of reach? This week's guest is Joe Powell-Main, Wales' first professional ballet dancer with a disability. An injury early on in his dance career changed the way he would perform ballet forever. But being in a wheelchair didn't change his love for dance and he has used his disability to enable and inspire others in the ballet and dance world. What I learned in this episode is that no matter where life takes you, there is joy in embracing a life that is unexpected. And that when curveballs hit, it's normal to feel anger, fear, or sadness - but with the right mindset, facing your new circumstances can bring you one step closer to discovering your purpose. Quotes “It's dancing but just in another way… because I hadn't really seen dancers using wheelchairs.” [16:58] “Even though I had a disability, I had differing abilities to a standing dancer and they are just as valid and should be celebrated just as much.” [27:11] “The biggest setback can also be the greatest strength.” [33:40] Notes • Joe's background & dancing [2:33]• Injury & recovery [8:40]• A journey into a new way of dance [15:00]• A new lease on the future [19:20]• Joe's dance opportunities [23:30] • Differently abled dancer [27:38]• Inclusions in dancing [29:56]• Lessons learned [33:40]• Closing thoughts [36:19]Joe Socialshttps://www.instagram.com/jpowellmain_/https://twitter.com/jpowellmain?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthorhttps://www.joepowellmain.comGillian Socialshttps://fullcircleglobal.comhttps://www.instagram.com/the.master.coach/ https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoachhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/
The saying ‘I'm losing my mind' couldn't be truer for my next guest. This week I am speaking with Barbara K. Lipska, a Neuroscientist who was diagnosed in 2015 with metastatic melanoma in her brain's frontal lobe. As the cancer progressed and was treated, she experienced behavioural and cognitive symptoms connected to a range of mental disorders, including dementia and her professional specialty, schizophrenia. Gradually, after a course of immunotherapy, Barbara returned to normal functioning and amazingly recalled her experience – even writing a memoir entitled ‘The Neuroscientist who Lost her Mind: My Tale of Madness And Recovery'. A tale like no other— I am honoured to speak with Barbara about returning home to her true self after her brush with insanity. Quotes “100% of people die with this illness when this spreads to the brain— so it's tragic as you can imagine.” [4:41] “I'm alive and that's the most important thing.” [18:34] “Live in the moment because you don't know what will happen to you.” [26:12] Notes Barbara's background [2:15] Barbara's illness [3:50] The impact of her illness [10:05] The journey of healing [15:48] How to approach mental illness and its effects [20:45] Key lessons learnt [23:47] The future and moving on [28:15] Closing thoughts [34:40] Gillian Socialshttps://fullcircleglobal.comhttps://www.instagram.com/the.master.coach/ https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoachhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/ Barbara Socialshttps://www.barbaralipska.comRead “The Neuroscientist who Lost her Mind”: https://www.amazon.com/Neuroscientist-Who-Lost-Her-Mind/dp/1328787303

I am joined by Ian Wallace, a dream psychologist and best-selling author, who answers the most asked questions about dreaming and shares what recurring dreams and nightmares truly mean in our waking lives. By understanding why we create unique dream content, we invariably discover who we really are, what we really need, and what we really believe. Quotes "One of the things dreams show us is human life is very complex and often it's of high consequence.” [2:53] “The misconception is that dreams happen to you but you happen to the dreams; you create everything you experience in the dream.” [11:34] “A dream is just a dream until you put it into action.” [19:38] Notes • Ian's background and career [2:15]• When do we start dreaming [4:20]• Human life & high consequence [8:33]• How dreams work [11:30]• Dreams & emotions [12:51]• Ian's expertise and who would seek him out [15:05]• The meaning of common dreams [16:15]• Visions & dreams [21:28]• Questions from listeners [25:53]• Dreams used in our waking lives [30:40]• Night terrors and recurring dreams [36:26]• Advice for dreaming [37:60]• Closing thoughts [44:55]Gillian Socialshttps://fullcircleglobal.comhttps://www.instagram.com/the.master.coach/ https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoachhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/ Ian Socials https://ianwallacedreams.com

One of the hardest things you'll ever do is live your life without a loved one. When you've lost someone so close, it's often hard to know what to do with yourself, and how to keep going. In this episode, I am joined by Sasha Bates, who shares her personal story about the sudden loss of her husband, Bill. Although tragic, Sasha has found a meaningful way to live her life through writing various bestselling books, her work as psychotherapist and practising yoga. In this episode, we discuss the stages of grief she went through, her advice for others experiencing a painful loss, and how she continues to celebrate Bill's life in memorable ways. Quotes “I hadn't understood how life-changing and life-upending [the loss of a loved one] could be. A part of you dies alongside your loved one.” [07:25]“Grief is so individual and unique. The universal advice is that you will need to be very compassionate toward yourself and very forgiving of the fact that you might not recognise yourself.” [19:26] “I'm not afraid of death. I feel Bill's presence so intensely, so I have a deeper sense of spirituality.” [29:54] Notes• Sasha's background and career [2:60]• How Sasha changed the way she approached her work [7:22]• The stages of Sasha's grief [10:46]• Tools that Sasha used to overcome her grief [14:50]• Advice to others experiencing the loss of a loved one [19:17]• How Sasha uses the memory of her husband today [22:30]• What Sasha has learned about herself [28:10]• Sasha ‘s future plans [30:55]Sasha Socialshttps://sashabates.co.ukhttps://www.instagram.com/sashbates/?hl=enThe Bill Cashmore Award: https://lyric.co.uk/young-lyric/next-generation/the-bill-cashmore-award/ Gillian Socialshttps://fullcircleglobal.comhttps://www.instagram.com/the.master.coach/ https://www.facebook.com/GillianMcMichaelMasterCoachhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/gillian-mcmichael/https://www.linkedin.com/company/full-circle-development-consultancy/https://www.facebook.com/fullcircleglobal/
