Gerald Celente: The Dollar is Cooked

Gerald is founder of the Trends Research Institute and publisher of The Trends Journal. He holds nothing back as usual with an insightful assessment of the general quality of global leadership. Celente, who has spent 45 years forecasting trends, describes world leaders as "clowns" and "scum," citing examples like Boris Johnson in the UK, Emmanuel Macron in France, and Gerhard Schröder in Germany. He argues that these leaders are failing to address systemic issues, with the middle class in decline and wealth inequality on the rise. Celente highlights the impact of globalization and free trade agreements like NAFTA, which he believes have hollowed out American manufacturing and enriched corporations at the expense of workers. He also critiques the consolidation of media power under past administrations, noting that six companies now control 92% of U.S. media. In terms of economic trends, Celente discusses the rise of gold as a safe-haven asset, with prices expected to hit $4,000 an ounce due to geopolitical tensions and inflation. He expresses skepticism about tariffs, arguing they won't revive American manufacturing and will instead harm small businesses. Celente also warns of the dangers of AI-driven economic bubbles and the potential collapse of equity markets. Geopolitically, Celente focuses on the escalation of conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine, which he believes will drive oil prices to $120 per barrel and further destabilize global markets. He warns of the growing risk of nuclear annihilation, particularly between Israel and Iran, calling it a "doomsday scenario." Celente concludes by advocating for personal resilience, urging listeners to prioritize physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. He also calls for a renaissance in values, emphasizing the importance of truth, integrity, and ethical leadership in rebuilding society. IT'S ARIES SEASON!!!!! Susan Miller has a lot of exciting things to share with Aries, but unfortunately this month's horoscopes were published even later than usual. Laura and Alex waste no time (unlike some people…) getting into their thoughts on the late posting, Susan's excuses, and wondering what might have happened over at Astrology Zone HQ to lead to such chaos. As always, Susan believes that quantity can excuse her lateness, so the gals have a lot of material to dissect, including appearances from Susan Miller Epidemiologist, Trend Forecaster, Oracle, and Tech Entrepreneur.  After a thorough discussion of the Note, which includes updates on the Year Ahead 2022 and Susan's newest app, the gals talk about the month ahead for Aries. Laura explains how this lucky sign is basically living in Bridgerton IRL and is the homecoming queen/Celine Dion of the zodiac in April. Alex then tells about Scorpio's exciting (and lengthy) forecast, which includes a meeting of planets that will occur only once in our lifetime. Laura ends the episode by informing us of the artistic movement that awaits the world in 2023, which, excitingly, Susan predicts that Laura and her fellow Taureans will spearhead.  Laura and Alex discuss the following at these timestamps:  Note from Susan Miller: 5:20 Aries: 16:36 Scorpio: 26:02 Taurus: 36:23 Share your own thoughts on Susan Miller's Astrology Zone with us by emailing astrologyzoned@gmail.com. Tom welcomes Gerald Celente Trends Forecaster and Founder of the Trends Reach Institute back to the show. Gerald lays out how he truly feels about the pandemic and the resulting actions of governments around the world. One country after another is acting in lockstep attempting to 'flatten the curve' by locking you down and putting you out of business. Then the vaccines came but largely seemed to do worse than nothing. We adopted the Chinese way of taking away freedoms. The repo markets showed just how rigged the markets are and we've seen the massive amounts pumped into the system. He says, "When all else fails they take you to war." The inflation calculations are all fake and currently very understated. They've rigged the game because the social security numbers are based on these figures. Keeping the 'numbers' low also helps keep rates low so the banks can continue their activity. Our freedoms are being robbed from us. Gerald believes inflation will continue to get worse in part due to what has happened in Ukraine. Inflation has gone from temporary to transitory to something else. They are keeping the game going because they know if they stop the monetary methadone the system will crash. We have a crime syndicate running the West. He says, "Banksters, big tech, and drug dealers with big pharma are in control of a country near you." They are going to have to raise interest rates but he expects only a mild decline in housing prices. Housing will likely be held up by the high inflation. He describes the downtown commercial core of New York as almost dead at night. "Now you can park anywhere you want at any time of day." The mainstream media lies about everything and we've seen that numerous times during the conflict. They're called presstitutes for a reason. These 'journalists' are being paid to spew their master's narratives. NATO broke its promise to not move eastwards and now we see the results. He is totally opposed to the invasion but he understands why Russia did it. There isn't enough talk about peace instead we're sending lethal weapons around the world. Lastly, for Gerald wealth protection means gold, silver, and bitcoin in that order. He discusses the importance of being prepared and having a bug-out plan. Where next? In this episode, your hosts Simone Cipriani and Clare Press are in Paris to talk with the great Dutch trend forecaster Lidewij Edelkoort and hear her insights on where fashion - and culture - is headed.  "We will change possibly everything we do now. It's going to be a radical moment of change," says Li, who once described her work as "archeology of the future".   Li's company Trend Union puts out riveting forecasts and reports predicting what’s next. You’ve no doubt heard of her famous Anti-Fashion Manifesto published in 2014. And you probably read recently about her ideas on how coronavirus has led us into a quarantine of consumption from which we might, if we’re smart, choose to press reset button. This interview recorded before that, but it is, unsurprisingly prescient. From slowing down and doing more with less to new economic models. From reconnecting with storytelling to the tactility of textiles and the importance of local communities - all these things are on tomorrow's agenda. While we don't discuss how Covid-19 is affecting the industry, we hope you enjoy taking a break from the constant coverage for some fashion and normalcy. Understanding trends is so important when you work in fashion. If you want your designs to stand out and capture your market, you can’t just know what’s big now; you have to know what’s going to be big next. That’s where trend forecasters like Wendy Bendoni come in.    From her two+ decades of experience in trend analysis and fashion marketing, including working at WGSN, Wendy shares why trends are the lifeblood of fashion, how trend forecasting has evolved over the past 20+ years, what to do if trend analysis sounds like work you want to pursue, and how as a designer you can sharpen your eye to spot what’s next in YOUR niche. Live Your Life Bravely Tristan’s entire life journey is a testament to trusting the voices in her head, especially when they didn’t make sense” to others. From going to four colleges in four years, to winning a job at Teen People Magazine off the radio, to convincing publishers she could pen a super-fun dating book as a non-writer, to ditching a wildly successful, albeit soul sucking career in pursuit of service, to coming out with her highly controversial #metoo story, and so much more in the lands of love, life and career, Tristan, to the core of her being, believes that to live life wholeheartedly, we have to dare to answer the call of our own wild. This is the foundation for her passion in helping women connect to their inner voice and project it out… loudly! But if you are looking for hardcore cred, know that Tristan holds a Masters in Psychology from Pepperdine University. She is a licensed psychotherapist (specializing in CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR and narrative therapies) but fancies herself more of a guide since she believes that her clients are the true gurus of their own lives. All that said, her credentials, knowledge and extensive experience getting to the ROOTS of what keep us stuck, definitely come in handy since to truly transform and step into your highest self and brightest light, you gotta heal and release past wounds, effectively. Then… you can be free to identify, explore and create life on your terms. Prior to becoming a coach/therapist, Tristan was a consumer Trend Forecaster serving in many senior level executive positions at companies including Teen People Magazine, People Magazine, Columbia Records and Creative Artists Agency. The future is here!
