You might think it's your metabolism, your crazy schedule, or your unsupportive family holding you back from losing weight… but what if it's actually something as small as forgetting your gym shoes? In this episode, I'm walking you through the real reason your progress is stalled ( spoiler alert—it's not because you're lazy). It's because you're letting tiny, avoidable things pile up and derail your momentum. We're calling out the small, seemingly innocent excuses that secretly keep you stuck, and more importantly, I'm teaching you how to work around them instead of letting them win.Whether it's skipping the gym because you forgot your shoes, or telling yourself you're too tired when you actually just didn't plan ahead, this episode will help you start calling yourself out with curiosity and compassion, not shame.

"Hey ChatGPT. Please tell me how I'll know if I'm accepting my anxiety or avoiding it.""Hey ChatGPT. When I get anxious my vision gets weird. Can anxiety do that? ""Hello Reddit. Does anyone else feel like ...."The guys are back after a short break to talk about the use of ChatGPT, AI, Reddit, Google, and the Internet in general in the context of anxiety and mental health issues. There's no doubt that large language models - software that aggregates extremely large amounts of information found on the Internet and in libraries and huge databases - are here to stay. But while AI bots and engines like ChatGPT are sometimes quite impressive and can even present themselves as human, we do have to be mindful of how we're using these new tools as we work toward overcoming chronic and disordered forms of anxiety. This episode includesA look at how compulsive reassurance seeking, analysis, problem solving, and resources gathering can turn AI or online tools into counterproductive habitsHow the Internet can't ever really know your specific situation or the real details of who you are, and therefore can't answer your recovery questions with any degree of certainty or even safety in many cases. How AI engines are being used to create mental health and wellness content targeting engagement, growth, and influence rather than accuracy or usefulness.General guidelines we might lean on when trying to use tools like ChatGPT or Reddit to help us in recovery. If you want to use AI or online tools to help you get better, this episode is probably worth a listen.----Drew's Substack Is Herehttps://theanxioustruth.substack.com---Disordered Roundtables are here! As high-achievers, we're no strangers to discipline. But did you know that discipline without self-compassion just puts you in survival mode? So today, we're diving into the question: how can we find the balance between discipline and self-compassion? First, I want to reframe “falling off track.” So often, people look at falling off track as failure. But falling off track is part of the process of falling on track. If no one ever fell off track, we would all be perfect people. And that's just not the world we live in. We're living a life of experimentation and we must allow ourselves the experience of falling off track. For me, this brings meditation to mind. I like to have a ritual of meditating every day. But if I let the fact that I missed one day mean that I'm a failure, I would never meditate again. Self-compassion is the key element that gives you resilience in new pursuits. And the best way to access self-compassion is by putting some distance from outside sources so we can connect to ourselves. I hope you enjoy this episode and walk away feeling more grounded than before. Most days, the gym is the last place I want to be. I'm talking about an 80% dread rate and a 20% enthusiasm rate. But you know what? I put on those sneakers and hit the gym anyway. No excuses, no complaints, just action. The problem is that many folks out there are chasing external motivation. They think they need a personal trainer screaming in their ear, or they're working out just to show off to that ex who couldn't see their worth. Truth be told, that's not the right path. Relying on external motivation is like building a barrier to hide from accountability. Today, I will tell you the essence of motivation and why it's the heartbeat of your fitness journey and life. It's as simple as this: Without motivation, you're running on empty. You won't find the energy to tackle those things you know you've got to do.We're going to school on motivation—what it really is, how to nurture it, and how it dances hand-in-hand with discipline and habits. This episode is your motivation masterclass, and by the end of it, you'll be ready to conquer the world.
