At long last, "Champions Tour Minute" leads this Monday episode, as Andy and Brendan pepper PJ with questions about his weekend at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship at Phoenix Country Club. PJ shares stories from the ground about his interactions with Richard Green and Bernhard Langer, his investigative journalism regarding the sales of Buzzballz, and explains his walk through an inflatable colon as part of the event's fan village. Andy and Brendan enjoy the reports on cart usage, including Darren Clarke's tricked-out steering wheel, and recap the incredible finish to the actual tournament. Football talk is front and center during Swag Sports Minute, as PJ ventured off to Jets at Cardinals on Sunday afternoon in Phoenix, abandoning his post at the Schwab Cup, only to leave at halftime with the Jets down 24-6. Andy's Bears aren't doing any better - Caleb Williams was sacked nine times by the lowly Patriots in another multi-score loss. Andy and Brendan then recap the Lotte Championship, which a listener actually watched at Lottie's in Chicago, before touching on Paul Waring's win at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. This episode wraps with some discussion about the World Wide Technology Championship, won by Austin Eckroat, with some Tosti Tales and a questionable disqualification handed down by the PGA Tour.

Andy is feeling laborious on this Wednesday episode, leading to a wide-ranging discussion about upcoming golf tournaments, a sesame chicken lunch special, and the lack of national attention on the Chicago Bears. Brendan relays some feedback from Scottish listeners about last episode's mispronunciations of "Hamish" before promoting the new Design Disasters account on Instagram (@design__disasters) featuring some incredible golf holes. From there, attention turns to the World Wide Technology Championship. First, Andy and Brendan try to figure out what, exactly, World Wide Technology does, but can't quite find a firm answer. Billy Andrade's sponsor exemption into this event comes up again, and Brendan reveals that his last PGA Tour start was over ten years ago. Cutthroat Corner returns for this week as well, but not for the player you might think! There's some Bubble Boy talk as the FedEx Fall hits the final stretch, leading to a discussion about a PGA Tour win leading to a two-year exemption. It's the first week of DP World Tour Playoffs, as Min Woo Lee and Rory McIlroy are teeing it up at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. Min Woo's appearance in Abu Dhabi leads to a brief TGL segment about the latest "Temple" hole unveiling. Andy anoints the Charles Schwab Cup Championship as the Event of the Week, but his favorite player, Ernie Els, may not be taking the tournament as seriously as he should be. PJ is preparing for his weekend in Phoenix, with more to come from him on Friday's episode. To wrap things up, Andy and Brendan look into some new Sergio Garcia quotes about wanting to play in "two or three" more Ryder Cups before retiring.
-Discussing top 7 favorites in Cabo -2 matchups -2 outrights -Sleeper -FRL, scoring, best bet -Abu Dhabi HSBC outright For more on the world of golf, follow Doc on X @drmedia59 The Worldwide Technology Championship (WTC) at El Cardinal and the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship at Yaz Links feature prominently in this preview by Will Doctor on Pregame's Golf Podcast. With insights on player form, betting odds, and course fit, the guide provides analysis and top betting picks. Event Overview The WTC at El Cardinal, Cabo San Lucas, favors high-scoring players with strong putting. It's a prime opportunity for players vying for PGA Tour status. The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, however, brings a stronger field for the DP World Tour's playoff stretch in Dubai, featuring players like Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood. Key Player Analyses Max Graesserman (18-1) – Graesserman's recent hot streak with his putter is promising, though his approach stats (104th in the PGA) and lack of wins caution against an outright win bet. Better value lies in matchup bets. Cameron Young (20-1) – Although a skilled player, Young has struggled with putting and hasn't won this year. Doctor believes 20-1 is too high given his recent inconsistencies. Doug Gim (25-1) – A top pick, Gim's scoring capabilities and recent runner-up in Vegas make him a strong choice for an outright win, despite occasional inconsistency across four rounds. Bo Hosler (25-1) – Hosler has shown promise but struggles with iron play and final-round stability, making him less suitable for a high-scoring course like El Cardinal. Harry Hall (28-1) – Hall's scoring average and birdie potential make him an interesting pick, particularly in matchups against struggling players like Tom Hoagie. Lucas Glover (28-1) – Despite good finishes, Glover's weak putting makes him a risky pick for a course demanding birdies. Matchup Recommendations Graesserman over McNeely: McNeely's recent struggles with the putter make this a favorable matchup for Graesserman. Hall over Hoagie: Hall's strong scoring record contrasts with Hoagie's driver and putter issues, making Hall the better pick. Top Outright Picks for WTC Doug Gim (25-1) – Doctor favors Gim for his strong recent form and scoring ability. Harris English (30-1) – Although inconsistent with irons, English's putting and experience make him a good candidate in a straightforward course setup. Sleeper & First-Round Picks Carson Young (Top 20) – Young's course familiarity and recent top finishes make him a strong sleeper pick. Rico Hoey (5-1, Top 10 After Round 1) – Known for low first-round scores, Hoey ranks well for a first-round top-10 finish. Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship Pick Nikola Hojgaard (45-1) – Hojgaard's familiarity with UAE courses and recent strong performances make him Doctor's choice for an outright win at Yaz Links, despite a tough season. Conclusion Doctor expects a high-scoring event at El Cardinal, with the winner likely needing 25 under par. He places strong confidence in Doug Gim and Harris English for the WTC, while Hojgaard is favored in Abu Dhabi due to his experience in Dubai courses. This preview guides fans with focused insights for strategic betting across both tours. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

On this week's edition of the podcast we recap the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship where Pádraig Harrington led a stellar Irish challenge that ultimately fell just short in the desert. The Dubliner is eyeing a history-making victory on the DP World Tour and few would bet against him after last week's showing. It wasn't to be either for Shane Lowry despite a brilliant ball-striking display from tee to green. We asses Lowry's week that came unstuck at the finish and what Séamus Power can take from his fortnight in the UAE as he returned to Vegas as focus shifts to the PGA Tour. That's where Jon Rahm continues to dominate after cashing in at the AmEx. We look at Rahmbo's reign and also recap Leona Maguire's return to action at the LPGA's Tournament of Champions. As ever, we hope you enjoy the listen. Don't forget to subscribe and let us know what you think.
This Wednesday episode is a rapid-fire unstructured discussion that begins with the schedule for the week, which quickly transitions into Ian Poulter's latest comments from the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. The field is a mixture of DP World Tour players and the fellas from LIV, which reports indicated was closing in on a TV deal with the CW network. They discuss this and find a random list of the 20 worst channels on cable and boy does that take a sudden turn. The strong field at the AmEx is pondered before some one-and-done picks are made. News hits on a stunner joining the Ryder Cup assistant captains ranks for Rome and Nelly Korda making the jump to a new equipment and apparel provider. Learn more about your ad choices. Robert Rock has played on the European Tour for 20+ years, but arguably most impressive is the fact that he now continues to compete AND coach other players including Matt Wallace at the same time. He discusses how he prepares to teach while teeing it up himself as well as what went into ousting Tiger Woods in the final pairing of the 2012 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. Hint – he was thinking 'Don't be the guy that shoots 85!' The veteran also shares what it was like playing with Rory McIlroy while he was still an amateur.

Blakey & Rossco unpack a few 'what-ifs' in Episode 26. Loose Impediments near balls in the fairway - did you see the recent European Tour event (Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship)? Jorge CAMPILLO's ball came to rest against a loose impediment in the fairway. That loose impediment was an unreplaced divot. Jorge had three choices: Play it as it lies, take an unplayable for a penalty of one stroke, or try and move the loose impediment. The only issue with the last move is that if the player causes the ball to move, the player will incur a one stroke penalty and need to replace the ball. The GRQotW for Episode 25, there is no free relief from the spray of a sprinkler. Marcela from @GirlFriendsGuidetoGolf was kind enough to ask a question about players who proceed incorrectly under the Rules. Would you want to accept a trophy that you knew you had won without playing by the Rules?? Then we delve into the very often broken Rules in club golf of advice. So what is advice? And when is a penalty attached? Any verbal comment or action (such as showing what club was just used to make a stroke) that is intended to influence a player. But advice does not include public information. A penalty is attached when you ask for, or give advice. This is not limited to verbal communication. Lastly, we provide another GRQotW for you to wrap your head around and come up with an answer: Rossco and Blakey are both fast players and both have bunker shots to contend with, and as they are in different bunkers and neither can see the other, they both think it is their turn to play. They play at the same time and the balls collide on the green, before settling about 10cm away from where the collision happened. Player C saw the whole thing play out. What is the ruling? Finally we get to IVORs and Background Bingo. Thank you and hit us up with your questions and scenarios. Blakey & Rossco Connect With US. Best way is to jump on the email list. We were delighted to spend time with reigning Open Champion Shane Lowry ahead of what promises to be a bumper year for professional golf. The Clara man has made no secret of his desire to book his seat on the plane to Wisconsin for the 2021 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, but there's much work to be done before then, with Lowry's qualification bid teeing off in the UAE where he'll compete at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and the Omega Dubai Desert Classic before February's starting Saudi International. Find out about what Shane's been up to over Christmas, his take on Dublin's dominance after the All-Ireland football championship final and his hopes for a quick start to an all-important season. We hope you enjoy the listen.
Robert Lee, Rhys Davies and golf journalist Kit Alexander look back on Lee Westwood’s victory at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA, and ask whether the experienced Englishman can win a major this season. We also speak with Søren Kjeldsen, who made his 600th European Tour appearance at Abu Dhabi Golf Club. Plus we look ahead to this week’s tournament, the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
Dagegen fällt The American Express in La Quinta fast schon ein bisschen ab. Malte Asmus hat trotzdem alles im Blick - zusammen mit Expertin Désirée Wolff. Mehr Infos auf golfpost.de: Tiger Woods gibt den Caddie für seinen Sohn Phil Mickelson macht den Gastgeber
