You care about making a difference—and building a business that actually lasts. But showing up online, staying consistent with your content, and trying to sound like yourself in the process? That's where a lot of entrepreneurs get stuck. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by content creation—or like your message is getting lost in a sea of “shoulds”—you're going to love this conversation.Today, I'm joined by Rebecca Stanisic, writer, speaker, and content strategist, to talk about how to create sustainable content that sounds like you—and actually helps your business grow.Whether you're trying to find your voice, stop copying what everyone else is doing, or just figure out how to show up consistently without burning out, this episode is full of practical wisdom and encouragement to help you get there.WHAT YOU'LL LEARN IN THIS EPISODE:✅ Why “fitting in” with your content may be holding your business back✅ How to start finding (and trusting) your voice online—even if it feels awkward at first✅ Simple, sustainable strategies for creating content that converts without taking over your life✅ The biggest mindset shift to make if you want your content to support your growth—not sabotage it3 KEY TAKEAWAYS:1️⃣ Your Content Should Sound Like You Templates have their place—but not at the expense of your voice. If your content feels disconnected, your audience will feel it too. Your words should reflect your values, your tone, and your truth.2️⃣ You Don't Need to Be Everywhere to Be Effective Sustainable visibility is about choosing the right platforms and showing up with intention—not trying to do all the things, all the time.3️⃣ Clarity Creates Confidence (and Results) When you know what to say, why you're saying it, and who you're saying it to—everything becomes easier. Planning with purpose leads to content that drives both connection and conversion.RESOURCES MENTIONED:

I sweat bullets over finding the right tools. Some might say I am an Overthinker. And that is an asset to me. But occasionally, it causes crippling analysis paralysis. I've spent every day of this very young year, thinking about the implementation for my membership, even though I know the simplest solution is to use Substack. And last week, I would have told you that's the end of the story. But it's not.So today, I'm going to tell you about a journey that led me to Substack and grossly overcomplicating my publishing process. And why that could be a good thing. For members, we discuss how I'm managing multiple publishing places, why “Be Everywhere” is so important to me, and my goals for this experiment. Today, we are talking about your episodes down to a proverb. Proverbs are crafted phrases that have successfully passed wisdom from generation to generation. Proverbs are the ultimate "long story short" that draw their power from the simplicity of their presentation. Are there things you repeat in your show often? Maybe you should embrace your proverb and turn it into swag. Boiling your content down to a proverb that is easy to remember and easy to recite helps you provide marketing materials for your audience to help them promote your show. In both cases, the real work is just beginning. You must have someone NOT named Mom to listen to your show and give honest feedback. Phantom Electric Ghost Interviews Dr. Barrett Matthews: Be Everywhere, All At Once Biography Dr. Barrett Matthews started in the media in the 1980s and has accumulated experiences in television, radio, print media, books, podcasting, social media, film, etc. Because he realizes that the word, "Media" covers a lot of ground, he makes it his mission as a World Civility Ambassador and a businessman to educate the masses around the globe on the importance of working to "Be Everywhere, All At Once". Dr. Matthews' Media Boss Podcast is just one way he helps people just like you to become omnipresent with your brand and show the world that you are a Media Boss. About Barrett At a speaker training seminar I attended, I happened to meet a gentleman who I had welcomed as a guest on a radio show I was hosting and producing. Little did I know he had been watching my work. This gentleman was a Global Civility Leader, who later gave me a distinguished award at the training. A while later, he asked if I would write a book on execution in business, because he knew I was an author and I had writing skills. That book, "A Call To Action", prompted him to make me an honorary doctorate & a World Civility Ambassador. After talking with him about media and its importance and having him appear on a podcast with me, he hit me with some phenomenal news. He was to be named a king in Ghana. As if that was not enough, he asked if I would consider being a Royal Liaison to the throne and if I would incorporate my Media Monarch program in his kingdom to teach others about using media, the right way. Be. Everywhere. No, I don't mean being everywhere. I don't mean doing the confetti cannon of content marketing where you throw things up in the air to fill the empty space and hope people find them. Instead, you need to go at it from an influential-focused perspective, in such a way that when a need or pain point arises in the life of your client or prospect, they immediately think about you.In today's episode, I share the psychological triggers and principles necessary to ensure that clients see you as an expert when they're ready to make a buying decision. I explain the importance of making your audience hear your message several times from different angles. I also describe how a Las Vegas performer inspired the BE EVERYWHERE strategy and highlight the importance of making your message meet your audience where they are at in their lives.Visit https://Jasonlinett.com/65/ now to view the complete show notes, watch the video podcast, and access a complete transcription.“Stop thinking of your marketing and promotion as an event; it's a process, a journey, and a campaign.” - Jason LinettThis week on Hypnotic Language Hacks Podcast:● The ‘frequency and recency concept' in content marketing● What it means to be everywhere● The major inspiration for the BE EVERYWHERE strategy● Making the message meet a prospect's pain point● The marketing rule of seven● Playing with your messaging and avoiding the content confetti cannon● Frequency and recency versus hard-sellingResources Mentioned:● premium.hypnoticinfluence.comConnect with Jason:● Jason Linett's Website● Subscribe on YouTube● Jason Linett on Instagram● Jason Linett on Twitter● Jason Linett on Facebook● Jason Linett on LinkedInContinue the conversation in our FREE Business Influence & Persuasion Facebook Community.Inspire People to Take Action…Even BEFORE You Make an Offer. If you want to easily grab people's attention, naturally build authority, and organically have your prospects wanting more from you even before you make an offer, then I've created a step by step strategy to help you to do just that! In the last 5 years, my business has made $10 million in sales and I'm frequently asked what's the one thing that has really moved the needle? How has this all happened? Well, I believe what has truly helped me is visibility. So today I want to talk to you about being visible and take you through what I've done year on year in my business to increase my visibility and build the crucial ‘know, like, and trust factor.' What You'll Learn In This Episode: - Why a multi-layered strategy towards being visible will help you make more money without it meaning you have to be ‘on' all the time. - Visibility is a numbers game that actually comes down to marketing. Here's how you can get seen & heard by the right people because you can be the best at what you do, but if no one knows who you are, you won't succeed. - We live in an incredible time where you can build a successful business with a phone and free platforms. I'll share with you all the ways and the different platforms I've used to connect with thousands of people with little to no cost. - Visibility is one of the biggest hurdles I see with my clients, but if we put our egos aside and show up to serve other people and make it about them, not us, it all becomes a lot easier. My free masterclass, Be Everywhere, is happening tonight at 8pm GMT! Join now at https://www.lisajohnson.com/be-everywhere to learn how to build your own multi-layered strategy to be more visible. After working with thousands of students in the right content at the right time, I've seen where content creators get tripped up…The hardest thing for them is developing the habit of creating content and actually showing up.Not just once. Not twice. But, consistently. But, dang it's hard. And the students who do succeed make that decision to take it slowly and show up consistently…The reality is creating content can actually be overwhelming. Most of my students go through the typical cycle of, “Oh, I've got a great content plan in place… then they start second-guessing themselves saying “Wait is this actually valuable? How do I know if this is valuable? Maybe I should think of another topic!"It's this thought process that keeps them on the sidelines thinking and worrying instead of getting into action. Here's the truth, the only way to know if something works is to put it out there…let me repeat myself…. the only way to know if something works is to put it out there. And not every piece of content is going to be a grand slam right out of the gate. And sometimes you'll be surprised at what rises to the top and stays there…This is why it's important to pinpoint and correct why we're not consistent in the first place, so today I am going to share 4 of the most common reasons you might be lacking consistency in your content and your business…you can apply what I am sharing to other areas in your business. Here's what I'm going to cover with you today:You Are Lacking a Purpose = Lack of CommitmentYou Don't Have Systems = Lack of ConsistencyYou're in Overwhelm = Trying to Be Everywhere from Day 1You're Getting No or Poor Results = Wrong Plan or forgetting to check your numbersWhen I am done I am going to answer these questions: How do I stay motivated and consistent? What Platforms do I focus on so that I don't get overwhelmedTAKE ACTION: ✅ Download your copy of the content creator's roadmap so that you have the steps to create client-attracting here: https://kristenpoborsky.kartra.com/page/content-creators-roadmapABOUT KRISTEN POBORSKY:I help coaches and healers who are struggling to be seen and heard online create client-attracting content and automate it so that they can stop working 14-hour days and attract a steady stream of clients and leads every single day.MORE HELPFUL STUFF FOR YOU:✅ Here's how to join the content 12x maximizer beta test where I teach you how to create repurposable client-attracting content for FREE: https://kristenpoborsky.kartra.com/page/12x-beta-waitlist ✅ Grab my video equipment list so that you can get started creating high-quality video for less than $60 here: https://kristenpoborsky.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Video-Resource-Guide.pdfWant more client-attracting content creation tips?❇️Subscribe to my YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/KristenPoborsky❇️Join my Facebook Group The Successful Coaching Practice: https://www.facebook.com/groups/successfulcoachingpractice❇️Follow me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/KristenPoborskyMBA/❇️Follow Me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kristenpoborsky/Haven't left a review yet? Since CMO Ran Avrahamy joined AppsFlyer in 2013, the SaaS mobile marketing company has grown from 12 employees to over 1,000, from a small tech startup to a worldwide brand. So, how exactly did AppsFlyer launch to such heights, and how did it adapt as it grew? Tune in to hear all about AppsFlyer’s zero budget, guerilla marketing in the early days, and how its “Be Everywhere” mantra drove the company’s growth. Ran also discusses how AppsFlyer has been helping all of its customers—whether they’re in the travel industry or the cloud—through post-COVID challenges, as well as why B2B marketing has to (yes, has to) start with employees. In tech companies, usually the last people to get hired are HR and Marketing, and usually the first to be fired are HR and Marketing. That's the mentality that brought Marie Wiese to build her agency Marketing CoPilot and write her book, You Can't Be Everywhere. Marketing CoPilot helps B2B companies define and improve their marketing ROI so that they become an indispensable part of the team. Having served as a VP of sales and marketing for a software company, Marie realized how difficult it was for CEOs to make decisions regarding their marketing services. She wanted to bring all of the various parts together in order to create a simple, repeatable process in hiring marketing professionals. So she set out to create a methodology that would show people how they could be where they needed to be. To lead them to where their customers are, what kind of content they were looking for, and when was the right time to engage them.

When it comes to marketing, there's a lot of misinformation going around. It sounds good and it makes sense on paper, but in practice, it doesn't work. One of the biggest lies of marketing is the myth of "Be Everywhere." You'll see this on blogs and hear is on podcasts. It's spoken of at seminars... And it doesn't work... In the world of online business there aren't too many people that truly stand out for all the RIGHT reasons. My guest on this episode, however, is one of those rare occurrences! In the past few years, Pat Flynn has carved out a very loyal, committed following from the general 'noise' of the internet. A following that allows him to enjoy recurring revenues in his business, amounting to $50,000 a month, upwards! He's done this through smart marketing tactics, massive amounts of online content and a philosophy that he coined that is simply known as 'Be Everywhere'. Couple this together with his overall transparency when it comes to his business in general, and you've got someone that really does stand out from the online entrepreneurial crowd. Pat is obviously a big inspiration to the blogging community. As someone that continues to pursue different angles and ways to get in front of new audiences, etc., he's surely on the right track to continued business success. But the big takeaway here, for me anyway, as a fellow business owner is the importance of truly being everywhere, as Pat puts it. The power behind this philosophy in today's market just cannot and should not be ignored. Go and do likewise, everyone - it's time to get busy! Essential Learning Points From This Episode:Why 'Being Everywhere' is so important in today's online world. How Pat has built some an amazingly loyal community of fans. The secret 'sweet spot' for online video length and getting started. How podcasting (https://www.chrisducker.com/5-podcasts/) built his confidence and helped with public speaking. How Pat uses Facebook to extend and build relationships, and not 'promote'. Why Amazon Kindle eBook's are also included in the 'Be Everywhere' mindset. Pat’s #1 tip to doing business in the new economy. Much more! This week, I'm extremely excited to have Dr. Jessica Vogelsang as a guest on the podcast. I am a huge fan of Dr. Jessica Vogelsangs content. Not only does she create great content, but she does it consistently. Today we talk about how she got started creating content, how she started on social media and what she has learned along the way. Dr. Jessica Vogelsang is an author, mother, practicing veterinarian, and medical communicator. After graduating with honors from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. V started her award winning website pawcurious.com in 2009 while continuing to work in small animal practice. Currently, she is the Editorial Manager for DrAndyRoark.com, and is also the Author of All Dogs Go To Kevin. In today's episode we go over how Jessica got started with digital marketing and what she has learned since she got started. Originally when she started the web was very different and she was using Typepad to create content. Since then, the tools have come a long way to make it far easier to create and distribute content. Dr. Vogelsang shares her insight in what she thinks veterinary professionals should be doing in content creation, distribution as well as some of her thoughts on new platforms. One of the best pieces of advice I think she gives is finding what you're good at and investing into that. So many people say "Be Everywhere" but sometimes that can be a recipe for disaster. Be sure to listen to the entire episode because there is so much good info. I even talk to her about instant articles on Facebook. The Dr Andy Roark facebook page is the only publisher I know personally who is using instant articles. I've tried setting it up(I think you need a computer science degree) and I've been really really curious to talk about how it has worked for them.

On today's podcast, we're going to help Scott and Alyssa take their online business to the next level. Welcome to the Flipped Lifestyle podcast, where life always comes before work. We're your hosts, Shane and Jocelyn Sams. Join us, each week, as we teach you how to flip your lifestyle upside-down by selling stuff online. Are you ready for something different? Alright, let's get started. JOCELYN: Hey guys, welcome back to another Flipped Lifestyle podcast. We are super excited today to bring you a Flipped podcast and today's guests are Scott and Alyssa Barlow. We are very excited to have you guys today, welcome to the show. SCOTT: Thanks. JOCELYN: And I want to just say that our Flipped podcast is where we bring people on for a consulting call, and they ask us questions, and we help them to either get started in the online business or in this case, with Scott and Alyssa, to really try to work to take that to the next level because they're already having some success online and we are going to get into that in just a little bit later. But first of all, tell us about yourselves, where you are from, and anything that you want to share with our listeners. ALYSSA: Okay, I'm Alyssa and we are from Moses Lake, Washington, located in Central Washington State; if you don't know where that is, it's a pretty small town. We both graduated from high school here, left for a few years and then eventually made our way back. SCOTT: We tried to get away, it didn't work. SHANE: It always sucks you back. It does. SCOTT: It always sucks you back. ALYSSA: We have three children, our oldest is seven, we have a six-year-old and a four-year-old. So, they are all in a pretty tight span there. SCOTT: Boom, boom, boom. Three in a row, 18 months apart, each one. ALYSSA: And I am a former teacher, I guess, you could say.
In December 2008 I joined Twitter after getting an email from Derek Sivers asking people if they were using it yet. It was going to be huge and musicians needed to start utilising it. It's funny to think that there was a time when there was no frame of reference in my head for the format and function of Twitter. I trusted Derek's authority and began exploring it. Over the years I have signed up to many social networks but find the same thing happens. I get overwhelmed and overburdened by them. This is often a problem for introverts and highly sensitive people, especially when we don't find a true reason for using tools. It's not enough to be somewhere because you've been told you should. In this episode of the podcast I talk about why online social media can be a wonderful thing for us, but only when we assume a position of control. When you own your experience and your reasons for using the technology you choose, it can be one of the most liberating and life-enhancing things. What puts us off engaging in social media? Being Misinterpreted The Fear of Share Too Much Information Feeling Stupid Being Construed as Boring Getting Unfollowed (Rejection) Being Inauthentic (Presenting a Fake Version of Yourself) What should we remember when it comes to getting involved in online social media communities? I unpack each of these 14 truths about how we can cope with the overwhelming world of the internet as introverts/HSPs: You Don't Need to Be Everywhere You Define the Schedule The Vulnerability Hangover You Can Conduct Experiments Everyone is Making Noise But It's Not How You Get Attention Your Listening and Observational Skills Pay Off You Can Tell People Something About Yourself that They Would Otherwise Never Know You Don't Need to Be Someone Else You Can Get Straight into the Conversation You Don't Have to Share it All You Have an Unfollow Button You Can Choose to See Being Unfollowed as a Positive You Can Have an Objective/Filter You Can Show The World What's Beneath the Surface Over to You Which social media network do you use most? Why? Please leave your answer in the comments below. I would love to hear from you. Patreon I have created a Patreon page for the podcast. This allows you to communicate your support for the show and encourage me to remain consistent in the creation of this content and in constantly seeking to take it to the next level. I am so incredibly thankful to those of you who continue to listen every week and for those of you decide to show your support by becoming a Patreon supporter.
The Old Podcasting Geezer here :) See Quick Hits 1 for that story. __________________________ File format mp3 for Audio and mp4 for Video. Other formats have limitations. Audio formats other than mp3 that will work (sort of) m4a/AAC works on Apple devices, Android and most PC software. May not work on Microsoft Phones, Blackberry or other media players (mostly older ones) Ogg/vorbis - Mostly a linux / open source thing. WMA (Windows Media) Works with Microsoft products/software. (Not recommended for podcasting) .wav, flac and formats like that will not work (and are many times larger files than mp3) Bottom line, Use MP3. I suggest either 64kbps Mono or 128kbps Stereo encoding @ 44.1khz. At 128 Stereo, you get about 1mb a minute of audio. At 64 mono, you get about 2min per mb. Video Formats other than mp4 that will work (sort of) M4V This is Apple's version of mp4. It's almost identical to mp4, other than it adds extra “stuff” for iPads, iPhones, AppleTV and iTunes. Ogg Theora. This is the Linux / Open Source video format. FLV This is flash video. Not great for podcasting. It used to be good for websites, but will not work on iThingys or android (most of them) WebM (VP8) This is Google's supported HTML5 video format. Hasn't really gotten too much traction but if you are doing video, it's not a bad idea to make a version of your show in this format for supported browsers. Bottom Line, Use mp4. (with maybe a webm/vp8 version for the player on your website) Encode using h264 and AAC audio. .MOV and mpeg files will not work. ________________________ Blubrry Tip of the Week - Service Settings and Program Listing settings I don't know how many times I get someone that asks me a question that requires me to look at their feed and when I look at their blubrry.com listing, they didn't include that in the settings. It causes a few back and forth emails that could be avoided. The other reasons for having your blubrry.com “Service settings” and “Program Listing settings” filled out: Your blubrry.com listing won't be populated unless you give us your feed address. It's kind of pointless to be listed and have nothing there. People that use “smartcast” (Which is a lot) won't be able to subscribe to your show in that feature. Your show will not be included in the Set Top Box and Android Blubrry App The Service settings let our system know if you are going to be using the blubrry.com provided website and feed (Yes, you can do that but it's not recommended) or if you are on your own Wordpress Blog using powerpress. These settings customize the menus you see at Blubrry.com in the manage account area and tell us in support how you are setup. You will get much quicker service if you do this. Service Settings (hosting users only) The 3 selections you have there are: 1.Publish from your own WordPress blog with PowerPress plugin 2. Publish from Blubrry to homepage provided by Blubrry 3. Publish from Blubrry to your own blog *** Do not use the 3rd option unless you REALLY know what you are doing. It has to do with the “Meta WebLog API” which *almost* nobody uses. Program Listing settings These are just simple info about your podcast. The RSS Feed URL and you iTunes listing URL. (basic stuff) and the Category you want your blubrry listing to be in and the Parental rating. There is more things here if you are going to be using Blubrry's feed (again, not recommended) where you can put your artwork and a few other settings. Even if you don't use blubrry.com for anything, it's a good idea to have your show listed in the blubrry directory (Explore Page). _____________________ Use the promo code "nobs" for a free month of podcast hosting at any level at blubrry.com The promo code also works for blubrry premium statistics 1 month free by using the promo code nobs. _____________________ Be Everywhere?
