In today's conversation, host Katya Allison is joined by Rob Walch, VP of Podcaster Relations at Libsyn, to hear Rob's strategies for marketers trying to partner with podcast producers. To Rob, it's important to keep a few things in mind when approaching podcast audiences:- Podcasts are more like magazines than radio shows; they have very niche audiences.- Keyword SEO is limited to podcast titles and has no effect when used in show descriptions.- Advertisers should consider the differences between show sponsorship and one-off advertisements.- Marketing efforts often have a better ROI when directed towards smaller shows with committed niche audiences than shows with mass appeal.- Video often doesn't indicate a growing podcast audience.- Marketers should take the time to actually listen to the shows they intend to partner with.- Podcasts and brands should have a compatible ethos when undertaking a campaign together.Rob's advice is crucial for marketers seeking to capitalize on a unique advertising medium.- Libsyn - https://libsyn.com/- Libsyn - Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/libsyn/?hl=en- Katya Allison - https://www.linkedin.com/in/katyaallison/- GRIN - LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/grin-inc-/#Content #influencermarketing #ecommerce #creatormanagementIf you enjoyed today's show, please leave a review and subscribe so you never miss an episode. Many podcast experts will teach you how to launch your podcast. Some try to help you monetize the show. But, they are all missing your marketing strategy. Chi's Podcast "Cheers to Your Prosperity" HERE Find Chi the Mindful Bookkeeper at HERE Enroll in podcast training "How To Grow Your Audience" HERE The experts want you to believe you should grow your audience large enough to land some sponsors. That is the biggest mistake you could make. When looking for a traditional sponsor, you need more than 5,000 downloads per episode. According to Rob Walch, VP of Podcaster Relations at Libsyn, the July 2022 statistics across all Libsyn podcasts shows the median downloads is 165 downloads per episode. The median is the middle. If you stack them up smallest to largest, the one right in the middle is the median. Therefore if you are getting more than 165 downloads an episode, you are better than 50% of all podcasts. Only 8% of all podcasts on Libsyn get more than 5,000. That means the other 92% of us aren't playing in the sponsor atmosphere. Only 20% of all podcasts get more than 1,300 downloads per episode. We need to devise another way to monetize our show. Chasing sponsors is a waste of time for you. Instead, use your podcast as a marketing tool for your business. Incorporate it into the rest of your marketing to attract your ideal clients or market your affiliate products and services. Before we get into the most effective way to use your podcast, let's talk about growing your audience. Even though we aren't looking to attract sponsors, the larger our audience the more effective our call to action will be. PODCAST MARKETING FUNNEL While you are growing your audience, you need to also be growing the business. I'm sure you've heard of a marketing funnel. You bring people into your world by making them aware of you. They are given content to make them interested in what you have to offer. Once they are interested, you get them engaged by getting them to take action. Finally, you convert the engaged into clients. It is a marketing funnel. Fewer people move through to each level making the process look like a funnel. The first step is awareness. Everything you do to make people aware of you and familiar with what you do, who you help and what you help them do sits at the top of the marketing funnel. Awareness activities include blog posts, social media, website, search, newsletters, marketing campaigns, conversations, media mentions and a variety of others. This is where your podcast sits. Use the podcast as part of the marketing strategy to make people aware of who you are, who you help and what you help them do. Create your marketing plan and incorporate it into your business. Maintain a consistent message and call to action in all of your marketing pieces. When people become aware of you through any of these methods, get them on your email list, not to your podcast. If they listen to your show without subscribing and never come back, they are gone forever. You can no longer reach them. If these new people get on your email list, you can now email them every time you release a new episode until they unsubscribe from the list. You can now nurture the relationship and get them to subscribe to your podcast. CHIOMA NJOKU Chioma Njoku helps entrepreneurs with their bookkeeping as founder of the Mindful Bookkeeper. Do you want to grow your audience? Of course you do. Almost every podcaster I encounter wants a larger audience. On this episode, I want to give you ways to grow your audience in 30 days. Here are the resources mentioned in this episode: Libsyn: www.Libsyn.com The Feed podcast: thefeed.libsyn.com Strategy Transformation Call: www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/call Listener Development Worksheet: www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/listener STRATEGY CALL There are times when we are too close to the situation to see the solution. As the saying goes, "You can't see the forest for the trees." You are too close to the details to see the whole. This is the purpose of my new Strategy Transformation Call. I want to help you get clear on your goals and how to achieve them. If your strategy isn't working, or worse yet you have no strategy, this one hour of coaching is for you. You and I will get on a one-hour call to discuss where you are now. Then, we will clearly define your goals. Finally, we will develop a plan to reach those goals and see if I have any resources that will help you get there. An hour of my coaching is typically $250. These Strategy Transformation Calls are only $97. However, there are limited spots. I can't fill up my calendar. I need to leave room for my full clients. This also isn't a high pressure sales call. We will take the time to get to know each other and build your plan to win. I'll show you how to get there. If at the end of the call we both feel I can help you in some way, we can discuss it. But it needs to be right for both of us. Best of all, you'll be clear on how to reach your goals. Isn't that worth investing an hour of your time? You can keep wandering toward success. Or, you can build a map and follow it. Stop wasting your time throwing things against the wall to see what sticks. Let me show you what has worked for many of my clients over the years. Get your Strategy Transformation Call at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/call. The sooner you grab your call, the more options you'll have with regard to call times. See which calendar options are open for you. Grab your Strategy Transformation Call at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/call. Let me help you reach your goals. WHY GROW So, why do you want to grow your audience. I know it sounds like a crazy question. Who doesn't want to grow their audience? But, have you ever stopped to ask yourself why you want to grow? Do you want a big audience simply to feed your ego? Sure, it feels good to have a large audience. We can boast to our podcasting buddies. But what does it do for you and your business? We can't grow simply for the sake of growing. Maybe you want to leave your mark on the world. The impact you have on your audience is powerful. The bigger the audience, the bigger the impact. Maybe you want to build an audience of your ideal clients to help you grow your business. Your podcast could be all about motivation. It could be that you want to build an audience that you can inspire and motivate. When you know why you want to grow, you have a bigger purpose. This helps you stay motivated when the going gets tough. When you don't feel like doing the work, your why helps kick you in the butt and get you moving. Take a minute and get clear on your real why. Go three or four levels deeper to get to the real why. MY WHY When I first started Podcast Talent Coach, my goal was to be an entrepreneur. I wanted to own my own business just like my family. My mom created and sold wedding cakes from our kitchen. My dad owned a gas station at one point. Entrepreneurism runs through my family. My sister created a marketing company. In Florida, my aunt and uncle owned a restaurant. Another aunt owned a craft store and my uncle was a handyman. Even my nephews are entrepreneurs. It is in my blood. But history can't be my why. That isn't inspiring. And, I grew very slowly. Once my daughter and son hit high school, I realized my time with them at home was coming to an end. They would soon be traveling the world. I was stuck in a nine-to-five and couldn't freely follow them. It became clear that I needed to control my own time to allow myself to travel when I wanted and work wherever I needed. Time with my kids became my true why. When I don't feel like doing the work, I remember time with my family and get to work. It is easy for you to push this step aside and think you know your why. But, trust me. Take the time to get very clear on your why. Write it down and revise it until you get those butterflies in your stomach, because you know what is possible on the other side when you do the work. QUALITY So, how big is big enough? I really encourage you to focus on quality over quantity. An audience of a few hundred who are incredibly passionate about what you do is so much more powerful than an audience of a few thousand who have a superficial interest. Build your audience of your ideal clients who want to work with you and want everything you create. When you look at download numbers, it varies from podcast to podcast and industry to industry. Podcasts in the big three niches will have many more downloads than podcasts in smaller niches. You can't compare podcasts in different niches. It isn't apples to apples. Shows in the same niche often differ greatly when it comes to downloads. Avoid comparing yourself to the Joneses. You'll only be disappointed. THE DATA With that said, here are some stats straight from Libsyn, the podcast hosting service. Rob Walch, VP of Podcaster Relations at Libsyn, has presented the state of the union a few times at Podcast Movement. He also provides data monthly on the podcast The Feed. The data varies greatly every month. Rob looks at all podcasts on Libsyn that were released between 30 and 60 days ago. On average, these episodes are 45 days old. This data is based on active shows in the month of April, 2022. These are shows that are releasing new content, unlike the charts that show all shows. For the month of April, the median number of downloads for all active shows is 150. That means if you are getting 150 downloads for your episode after it has been available for 30 days, you are better than half of all shows currently releasing new episodes on Libsyn. To put it all in perspective, if you get more than 1,300 downloads, you are better than 80% of all active shows on Libsyn. More than 3,600 downloads puts you in the top 10%. If you have more than 8,200 downloads on your episode after it has been available for 30 days, you are better than 95% of all active shows on Libsyn. 21,000 downloads puts you in the top 2%. And 35,000 on an episode means you have more downloads than 99% of all podcasts available on Libsyn. Rob also gives the adjusted mean. This is the average where he throws out the top 0.5% along with those with 3 or fewer downloads. This helps avoid skewing the numbers by outliers. The adjusted mean is 1,561. NO SPONSORS Only 7.7% of all active podcasts on Libsyn get more than 5,000 downloads per episode after being available for 30 to 60 days. This 5,000 download number is the benchmark for advertising and sponsors. That means more than 92% of all podcasts have fewer than 5,000 and really aren't candidates for sponsors. Chances are, you fall into this 92% category. You can hear the episode at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/thefeed. And if you aren't using Libsyn as your hosting, you can get your first month for free by using my affiliate coupon code of PTC at Libsyn.com. Keep these numbers in mind and avoid comparing your show to others. Focus on your why and your listeners. Serve and you will reach your goals. WHERE ARE THEY Your listeners are key. You hear everyone encourage you to define your avatar. Most of the time we create this vague image of a group of people we want to reach. That is not your target listener. That group is your market, not your target. One person is your target. You want that person defined so clearly that you can picture that person in your mind. It is so clear that it reminds you of someone you know. When you get this clear on your ideal client, you know exactly where to find them. You will know what influencers have their attention, where they hang out online and how you can get in front of them. If you want to get really clear on your ideal listener and client, download my target listener worksheet at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/listener. This sheet will help you get focused on that one person. We will talk about this quite a bit on your Strategy Transformation Call. We can't hit a target we can't see. You and I will define this person and build a strategy to reach them. Get your call at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/call. THE EQUATION Once you have determined your ideal target listener and client, you can now build your audience. There are two sides of the equation. First, you need to get in front of your ideal listener and invite them to your show. Next, you need to keep your current listeners coming back episode after episode. If you don't focus on both sides of the equation, you will not see growth. If you only focus on getting new listeners, it is like pouring water in a bucket with holes. The more you add, the more that leaks out. Your podcast doesn't grow. When you only focus on your current listeners, attrition will cause your audience to shrink. Many podcasters promote new episodes by emailing their list and posting on social media. Those people already know you. That doesn't grow the audience. However, it does help keep your current listeners coming back. To grow your show, spend time on both sides of the equation. HOW TO GROW You can grow your show over the next 30 days by following a process. Step one is defining your target listener. Again, grab that worksheet and get clear. Download it at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/listener. Step two is to get in front of those listeners. Tell them what you do and how you help. Make them aware of you and your show. The next step is to get them on your email list. Many people invite those people to listen to the podcast. But if those people don't come back, you lose them forever. Step four is to invite them to listen. When you get them on your email list, you can continue the conversation and invite them to listen again and again. Finally step five is getting them to come back. Create a strategy that reminds listeners to come back every episode so you can build that relationship and monetize your show. It is a simple, step-by-step process. But, it is not easy to follow without accountability. You need focus, be diligent and be consistent. Let me show you how to do that. Grab your Strategy Transformation Call with me at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/call. Thanks for being here again this week. I can't wait to see you on the call. Until next week ...

Quotes: 08:25 “I thought it was going to be “BIG” early on. I mean, before Apple even supported it, I quit my day job and went podcasting full time. So that was April 2005, I left a six-figure income to do podcasting. Early on, I thought this had potential to be really big.” 09:11 “Where podcasting comes into play, and the strength is it's a distraction medium. It's something you can listen to while you're doing something else – while you're walking the dog, working out, doing yard work, driving to work, to and from, at work. It's something that you can have going as a distraction, as getting your mind off of the task at hand that's chewing up all your time. This just helps pass the day, and audio has always had that capability.” 17:44 “…when I got to that point where I wasn't worried about the recording anymore, I found it easier to concentrate more on the content of what was going on in the interview, and that helped me really find my voice.” 34:29 “I mean that's what we try to do. We try to help you get out everywhere because you never know where your show is going to take off.” 52:05 “I think everyone should podcast. Everyone has a voice. I think the biggest impediment to getting people into podcasting is always that they don't like the way their voice sounds. I just say, “Well, remember this, Gilbert Gottfried has a podcast, and if he can have a podcast, anybody can have a podcast.” Timestamps: 00:50 Introducing Rob Walch 02:44 The Genesis of Podcasting, and how Rob started in this space 06:52 Who are the influences at the beginning of podcasting? 08:10 When did Rob realize that podcasting will be big? 10:09 Did Rob have a monetization plan when he began in podcasting? 12:03 There is a lot of room for podcasters and it is a very medium niche compared to other platforms 14:37 What would Rob say to a new person who wants to get on board and start their podcast? 16:32 How long did it take for Rob to find his voice? 18:21 In a lot of interviews that he has done, is there any favorite or a really extraordinary one? 21:14 Rob talks about his take on Netflix entering into podcasting. 23:18 Monetization in podcasting – how it works, why people should know it, and what to take action on. 26:44 As a consultant, what is his take on companies stacking out on business without any profits? 33:36 The other platforms that are available in podcasting. 37:15 Who started Libsyn and how did he get affiliated with it? 39:45 How many podcasts is he currently and actively doing? 41:28 The high points of data privacy, and what it looks like without it. 47:15 What is Rob's feeling on the future of podcasting. 50:35 How was Rob's move to Tennessee? 53:08 Listen to “Ride On” by James Kevin O'Connor Spotify Playlist: Did you miss the alumni artists on the dHarmic Evolution? This week the boys welcome Mr. Rob Walch, the VP of Podcaster Relations for Libsyn (the podcast hosting service we use)! The show kicks off with Rob describing a bit about his job at Libsyn and how he gets to talk with and help out all sorts of different podcasters from James Arnold Taylor (the voice of Obi-Wan on the Clone Wars) to Joe Rogan. The panel goes on to talk about some of the more unusual podcasts Rob’s been associated with, how he came into the podcast industry, how the Apple Podcasts app in iOS8 shaped the podcast culture we have today, and the concept of a podcast bubble. The dorks also discuss some non-podcast related topics such as their kids getting into Twitch streaming, accidentally exposing their kids to R-rated movies, the Star Wars franchise, and the upcoming Dune film set to release either just in theaters or day and date on HBOMax. Finally, the podcast finds its way into the Throw-Down. This week they pit a classic oddball comic book character in The Tick against another true oddball in Freakazoid. Which of these two weirdos will prevail? You’ll have to tune in to find out now, won’t you? Follow us on Twitch to hang out while we record our new episodes and stream video game sessions! Next up, you’ll learn the legal issues every podcaster should know with Entertainment Lawyer at Twin Cities PBS, Maggie Armstrong. Last but not least, LaunchPodMedia co-founders, John Dinkel, and Dee Kei Waddell, teach us how to game podcasting analytics downloads to grow their productions, so you can too. What we learn: Episode 1: Rob Walch 1:47 Why you should start a podcast “It could be someone who wants to promote their brand, someone who wants to create their brand” There’s approximately 600 Million bloggers vs 600,000 podcasters: that’s a 1000:1 ratio. Room to grow. 10:57 Why media hosts are important and RSS Feeds “Apple does not host any podcasts, they don't host a single media file. To get it in Apple Podcasts you have to first host your file elsewhere and have an RSS Feed” Your “RSS Feed,” supplied by your media host, like Libsyn, is the treasure map of your content on the internet Episode 2: Melissa Kiesche 17:55 Understand your audience “If you are going to try to start a podcast you need to understand the audience you’re trying to reach: 19:19 Traditional podcast advertising “People that are looking to grow their business through advertising. There’s a bunch of different ways to touch podcasting. The obvious way is through traditional advertising.” Episode 5: Maggie Armstrong 14:12 How to protect your brand and when to talk to a business lawyer “If you want to make sure your brand is as protected as possible, getting a federally registered trademark is the highest level of protection.” 42:22 Publicity rights and podcasting Public figures have the right to control their own publicity..what their name is used for. If you have someone on your podcast that is a public figure it is advisable that you have a conversation, potentially in writing. Episode 9 LaunchPodMedia 7:10 Bring value to the conversation “The biggest mistake a lot of beginning podcasters make is that podcasting is contributing to a conversation and you need to bring value to the conversation that your audience wants to hear about.” 26:41 Importance of RSS Feed, keywords and SEO “Not use the automatic RSS Feed, Google is tracking the automatic transcript generated by your show...then you can usually beat out advertisements at $16 a click. Podcast hosts are loved because the trust and relationship they build with their audience through this show. On this episode of Podcast Me Anything, we chat with Rob Walch, Vice President of Podcaster Relations at Libsyn, to discuss the hidden tech that is tracking podcast listeners and why that should be a concern for content creators. In the online marketing world GDPR is something that any company running an online business needs to knows about. And one of the key features of that system is the ability for the end user to opt-in. Because that opportunity doesn't exist within the podcasting space, many companies providing attribution and other tracking services are running afoul of these privacy rules. With Overcast's new privacy tool, users are going to learn quickly what data shows are willing to collect through these tools, and he is concerned about the reckoning that will follow. Listen to today's show and find the limitations for podcasters to enforce GDPR and CCPA rules, and why Rob is concerned for the entire space. And don't forget to read this post which outlines in further detail why https://podcast411.libsyn.com/privacy-does-really-matter-in-podcasting (Rob believes privacy really does matter) for podcast consumers. You know something you do every single time you do your thing? — libsyn (@libsyn) July 19, 2013 You can find a deeper conversation over here on Facebook. Let us know what YOUR ritual is if you haven't had a chance :) In summation: Podcasters like to drink (preferably something that in some way alters the nervous system) and eat as a way to prepare for podcasting :) Rob Walch Shares How To Podcast 100% from An iOS Device Via Rob Walch: One of the biggest trends we have seen in the past couple of years at Libsyn is the consumption of podcast episodes directly to mobile devices. In April 2012 i 43% of all downloads were to mobile devices. In June it was almost 54% of all downloads. That trend line is not slowing down any time soon. For many people their iOS device has become their main computing device. Not just where they consume content but where they also want to create it. You can create an audio podcast in MP3 format on an iOS device and upload it to your Libsyn account - even having it go live instantly on your Libsyn feed. Part of what makes it so easy is one Libsyn feature many Libsyn users may not know about - but has been there since the early days. It is called our quickcast feature. The quickcast feature allows you to take an MP3 file and upload it via FTP to your Libsyn account into your folder called quickcast. Once the file is placed in that folder our system will pull the Name and Description from the ID3 tags and use them for the name and description in the post - and automatically make it live on your feed and your other destinations - like your smartphone apps, or your libsyn blog page or Wordpress or Blogger pages if you have them set up. Of course to do this you need an App that supports a few key features - Exporting as an MP3 file via FTP and where you can edit the ID3 tags before exporting. And luckily for libsyn users there is such an app - it is called Bossjock - it is $9.99 and it was created by one of the original founders of Libsyn. It is also the only App in the App store that supports these features. There is also a good mic for iOS devices call the iRig MIC Cast mic - this plugs right into the headphone port on your iOS device. This mic gives very good quality and only cost $39. Brief overview of the work flow for creating a podcast episode with the Bossjock app. Open the boss jock app and tap the lock symbol to turn on the mic and tap the record button to start recording. Once done recording - swipe the bar at the bottom to pause and then tap finish. Add a name for the file - no spaces and tap save. Go to recording then tap on your episode and add the title you want for your post title - spaces are ok. And add a description of the episode. Then tap Export Select MP3, mono, and move the slider so it shows 64 kbps for the bit rate and then tap FTP. Enter your FTP server info which is ftp://ftp.libsyn.com/YOURSLUG/quickcast - Then enter your email and password for your libsyn account and tap upload. Leveraging what you already have to grow your audience Via Elsie: One of the biggest concerns that I've seen out there in podcaster land, and something that is mentioned right along monetizing your podcast all the time, is growing your audience aka getting more listeners. One way that I'd love to address this is by being totally transparent about the growth of this podcast as well as sharing what we have been doing in order to get the word out about it. Just because we happen to be a company doesn't instantly make our podcast famous at all :) Here's how I'm gonna do it. I'll disclose download numbers + tactics and also include events that might influence download numbers as well as strategy. There was an article by jay fleischman that I shared and quoted from in the last episode of The Feed which said “searching in iTunes is akin to looking for a lost pair of floaties in the Atlantic Ocean”. He also drove home the point that in order to get more listeners you have to leverage what you already got. This is super important. And it also helps you to keep your podcast growth in perspective. I believe this is a key competent that is often overlooked by podcasters, especially now days, as there is a ton of hype coming from the internet marketing and internet business folks that have newly (and by newly I mean in the past couple of years) discovered podcasting and are currently focusing very vocally on iTunes as THE way to get all the amazing benefits that come with podcasting, you know…expanding your reach, establishing yourself as an expert, creating super duper relationships with your audience, etc. I will address iTunes SEO in another episode, which is certainly important. I will share what I know, what I personally have experienced in these past 6 years as well as what I have researched, but it is NOT, and I am now capitalizing NOT the be all and end all of YOUR audience, nor the only reason that your podcast succeeds. I am incredibly partial to podcasting as a medium both for personal expression and a business strategy. I believe that there is an x factor to the success of a podcast that makes it super challenging to measure by standard measurement guidelines, particularly those that have to do with download numbers. and other types of analytics. I can't even begin to count how many times I have told a podcaster that is searching for concrete measurement standards of success that I've said “It depends.” Sharing the journey of The Feed, I'll let you in on some concrete numbers but also those things that are not quite measurable that are unique to us. So let's get started by going back addressing that point that is often forgotten - What have we already got? Or how did we or are we leveraging what we have to grow The Feed. Leverage point number 1: Our company hosts media for podcasts, our clients are content creators, a large part which are exclusively podcasters SO in launching The Feed we didn't have to deal with one of the most challenging aspects of launching a podcast which was explaining what a podcast was Just to be safe, I'll say that 99.9% of our optimal audience already knows what a podcast is and how to go about subscribing, listening, etc. Remember, I'm talking about leveraging what we have not what we could have, which means reaching out potential content creators and budding podcasters. So putting the fact that we are a podcasting company with Leverage point number 2, that we had an existing and consistent social media presence made it easy for us to reach out to our community, which is our target audience and THE reason that we are creating this podcast, and at least make them aware of our podcast. In terms of our social media presence. We currently have 2183 twitter followers and 1347 FB likes. At any given time, in my guestimation when we post anything we'll be seen by about 10% of our connections. I've also been slowly building little connections and relationships for over 3 years through our social media properties as well as our blog. We don't have huge numbers in social media but we do have a core group that do engage with us at at minimum actively listen. Leverage point number 3: Our reputation and superstars Libsyn has been in the podcasting industry since November 2004. Our name inevitably comes up in podcasting conversation and for the most part we are mentioned in a positive light. Our VP of Podcaster Relations, the guy that is in the trenches with podcasters and continues to be a podcast advocate Rob Walch has been podcasting since December 2004. His Podcast411 was the first podcast about podcasting. So Libsyn's reputation as well as Rob's name also has a level of effect on whether people take an initial step into our podcast. Notice that in those 3 Leverage points I did not mention iTunes. Even with those leverage points that are pretty good wouldn't you think? It's not enough to tweet out once or even put up a FB post one time and expect a wave of subscribers. I did my best to reach out to our audience via our social media channels in a way that offered value to those that chose to listen. I made sure to capitalize on the topics that we were covering, tagged people that were mentioned, showcased people whose knowledge we shared by creating specific images that we could share via all our social media channels including new platforms such as Instagram. I created a promo videos about our episode to support folks stumbling on our podcast, and we shared the episode in a variety of ways: We linked directly to our MP3 file using our OnPublish feature for both Twitter + FB. We linked to the libsyn podcast page, which is at thefeed.libsyn.com/podcast We also linked straight to the episode show notes post AND to our page in iTunes. All of this has been done consistently and sporadically during the past 6 weeks. And where has it got us? The Feed stats as of July 25, 2013 We have had 447 downloads of episode 1. We have had in 925 all time downloads of both of our episodes (as there is an episode 0) and get this, this is SUPER cool because this in no way is supported by iTunes OR even those that are subscribed to our podcast. Out of those 925 download 99 of them are for the promos post that I did for our blog! I quickly edited together the three promos that we had last episode into a small little file which I did not publish to The Feed's feed, but only to the libsyn blog page. That's super cool! LOVE that. That means that almost 100 people have listened to those promos! sweet! Adding podcaster clients to the mix, we did have the cool factor of being New and Noteworthy in iTunes as well as being featured on Stitcher. Which we are super thankful for and happy about :) I'll continue to share the growth of the podcast, our tactics, plus how we are leveraging what we already have to continue to serve our community!
