Biosphere, not to be confused with Bio-Dome, kind of took us by surprise. Mostly because we didn't remember the trailer, so it was like going in blind. That made it all the more fun. With Sterling K Brown and Mark Duplass on screen the entire movie, there is no lack of presence. A post-apocalyptic bit about two men surviving in a small biosphere, Biosphere makes you feel right at home with the characters. The camera work is intimate, the writing is natural, and the plot will fire up thinking processes you would never expect watching a light comedy. While science fiction, this film keeps itself grounded. Many good filmmaking lessons here, as well as a great watch. Biosphere can be found on IFC.

This week, we'll be singing “VIVAAAAA LAS BIO-DOME!” because we're talking about Bio-Dome. What a classic! What a great movie! What a masterpiece of cinema that Rob loves unironically while Bob and Chris try to figure out how to remove him from the podcast indefinitely as punishment for requesting that we review this one. Maybe they just don't know how to free the weasel as masterfully as Rob does. Maybe they made attempts, but ended up getting their dicks caught in the ceiling fan instead. Who knows? But one thing we know for sure is that this episode is going to be as intense as the Great Chipmunk Fire of 1979. Rest in peace, Buttercup. Best bud bumbling bros betray babes, burst into a biodome, baffle bystanders and bluff botanist babes! Impossible repopulation VIA sentient baked potatoes! In episode 69 of the PMS Podcast Show with Pauly Shore, filmed at Jam in the Van, Bio-Dome co-stars Stephen Baldwin and Pauly Shore reunite for a candid conversation that veers into unexpected territory. From their days on set to deeper reflections on personal journeys, they explore whether beliefs and values still have a place in today's world. Stephen Baldwin shares how his faith has shaped his life, sparking a broader discussion on the role of spirituality in modern culture. Pauly Shore brings his trademark humor and curiosity, leading to moments that are both thought-provoking and entertaining. This episode also features a stunning performance by America's Got Talent alum Shannon Klein, whose talent shines on stage, and a soulful live set from music guest Ryan Ellis that perfectly complements the night's reflective tone. Together, these elements create a unique blend of humor, introspection, and entertainment, making this episode one you won't want to miss.

The next sequel we will be discussing is "House II: The Second Story". For it, I chatted with Set Decorator Don Diers. Don has worn many hats throughout his career as a Production Assistant, Art Department, and Art Director, but this career was meant to be from a young age. We talked about building haunted houses with his brother, UCLA, Improv, Bio-Dome, The Muppets, how it's set decorator and not set director (link to them below), and lots more. On May 30, 2024, JP, along with two military colleagues, were taken to a biodome in an unknown location. They traveled there via a large military base in Florida, which had a garage-sized white room with a portal doorway into the biodome. JP and his companions were first given a substance to drink that made them more alert and relaxed before entering the white room, which began vibrating. Once inside the dome, JP, along with a botanist and another soldier, traveled through the dome sampling different fruits and observing the plants, some of which could move like Venus fly traps to catch small prey. JP believed the biodome was located off-planet, possibly under the Moon. The biodome was very similar to one JP traveled to on October 19, 2015, prior to joining the US Army. The 2015 dome belonged to a group of Nordic extraterrestrials suggesting a similar origin to the biodome he visited on May 30. The 2015 incident is described in Chapter 4 of US Army Insider Missions, Vol 1. This week we are talking about Gingerdead Man 3: Saturday Night Cleaver. This sequel introduced us to other homicidal baked goods. This one had us talking about the easiness of time travel, the lack of security in prison, the Roller Disco Championships, the odd people in history who are time-traveled to the end fight scene, and more. Gingerdead Man has some solid one-liners and we discussed him vs Jack Frost. Fun one to discuss. Watch the unedited review at sequelsonly.com/GDM3 I had AI write a script for Jack Frost vs Gingerdead Man 3. You can read it here sequelsonly.com/jackfrostvsgdm The next sequel we are discussing is a sequel that might have the greatest sequel title ever with "House 2: The Second Story." For It, I chatted with Set Decorator Don Diers. Don's story of getting put into the Art Department all happened because he left out his drawing while working in the office on a movie, that movie was A Nightmare on Elm Street. We talked about what a Set Decorator does, his time at UCLA with the likes of Tim Robbins and former guest Lee Arenberg, working on Bio-Dome, The Muppets, and a ton more. Don mailed me a hat from Tenacious D's Pick of Destiny movie. Great guy and a great chat. Bio-Dome holds a special place in many of our hearts because of the joy and laughter that it brought us when we were younger, but the critics and general public really seem to think that this is a BAD movie. Ever wondered if a fast food joint could be both iconic and mediocre? That's exactly the kind of culinary contradiction Monis Rose and special guest Michael Ornelas from the Fine Dining podcast chew on as we dissect Mooby's from the Kevin Smith View Askewniverse. Join us for an episode that promises to sprinkle your day with a dash of satire and a heap of cultural commentary, as we compare this fictional franchise to the spiritual undertones of real-world chains like In-N-Out Burger and Chick-fil-A. Our conversation might just resonate with your own lackluster fast food experiences, so get ready to nod along and maybe even share a laugh or two.But that's not all that's sizzling on the grill! We're also serving up a side of nostalgia with a nod to 'Biodome' and its timeless fart joke humor, followed by a personal twist—my obsession with Rubik's cubes and how this puzzle parallels with life's complexities. From soliciting advice from my 90-year-old self to the whimsical journey of creating an Olive Garden musical, we've plated a variety of flavors for your listening pleasure. Michael's Fine Dining podcast gets a special mention, too, so be sure to give it a listen. Remember, we're not just about food here; we're about the stories, the laughs, and the unexpected turns that make each episode as memorable as the last meal you truly savored.

From his MTV days to his 90s comedy flicks like "Encino Man" and "Bio-Dome"...Pauly Shore helped define funny in the 90s.Being raised by the legends who passed through his family owned venue "The Comedy Store"...Pauly pursued the path of laughs with or without the support of his family. In this episode, he talks about the therapy of comedy, and how a meme turned into a movement for a Richard Simmons biopic. This could Shore-ly be an Oscar winning role!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
There was a time in the mid-nineties when Pauly Shore was a very big deal. Rising to fame as a VJ on MTV, he parlayed his alter-ego “The Weasel” into unlikely big-screen stardom. His first movie, Encino Man, introduced the world to Brendan Fraser as a caveman, and Shore was such a hit in it that he got his own solo comedy Son in Law (opposite a young Carla Gugino), which was a money-maker. His follow-up, IN the Army Now, also made money, but that would be the end of Shore's short-lived reign as a star. His next two movies, Jury Duty and Bio-Dome, would be flops, and a TV show, Pauly, would be cancelled after five episodes. Clearly, Shore's reign at the top was short-lived.Yet, there's still something very likeable about “The Weasel,” mainly because Shore has always had a sense of humour about his place in pop culture. While he's no longer a household name, most people who grew up in a particular era still hold a lot of affection for Shore, and in this episode of WTF Happened to this Celebrity, we look at his rise to fame, his fall, and where he is now.

Dr. Jeanette welcomes Ilene Grydsuk, author of Age of Resolve (Book 1): The E.V. Chronicles, to share her new novel as our end of summer read. This book will truly take you on an adventure with the character to question everything in life, what you have been told, how you make choices, and what is coming down the pike.Who is the authority and what is reality all about? Perception is reality; I am told this therefore it must be true, are you living from that principle? What is the timeline we are in and are we becoming avatars and just downloading information to abide by? What has happened in history to cause a great change that we can no longer go back to as our normal life? Is there a virus in the Biodome? Are we going to kill each other, support each other, or just cause more chaos with our anger and truths? This is an adventure into the deep, dark thoughts that we have been excavating in our stories and turmoil in society. It is a glimpse of possibilities that may appear if we become leaders that stick with it and promote change. But, what is the change we seek and how will everyone come 'into alignment' to support the whole greater good?Where is the world going? For more information on Ilene visit: www.IleneGrydsuk.comFor more information on Dr. Jeanette visit: www.DrJeanetteGallagher.com

Welcome to the Munsons at the Movies podcast. Each episode we delve into the filmography and impact of a randomly selected actor. In this episode, we explore the career of William Atherton. Best known for his roles as Richard Thornburg in Die Hard (1988), Walter Peck in Ghostbusters (1984), and Professor Hathaway in Real Genius (1985), Atherton built a career on being one of the best assholes on-screen. Joined for the 6th time by Dan Craig, we explore Atherton's charismatic start as Clovis in Spielberg's Sugarland Express (1974), his bizarre story coming out story on the Donahue show, his excellent character names over the years, attempt to explain why he hasn't done more voice work throughout his career, and Kyle unironically defends Bill's performance in Bio-Dome (1995). How does Atherton rank on the Munson Meter? Listen to find out.
The crew returns and they start off talking about Pauly Shore and also ends talking about Pauly Shore, (we know nothing about him) Jon does his first accent on the podcast. They talk about Pasta Gate. How gross their work lunch rooms are and much more.
Welcome back, Taters and Tots. We are here again this week with another episode for your listening pleasure. Some might think so, some may not. This week we cover the 90's film, Bio Dome. This film seemed to have mixed reviews, so we had to be sure to cover it. Will you be a Tater, or Tot? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/theripepotatoes/support
